That's good been thinking of getting one since Figuarts Broly is so insanely expensive. I got the SSJ4 Goku and Vegeta Hybrids back when they came out and they're a bit tiny and feel kind of fragile, not very good leg articulation either really. One of their stands U-holders literally broke the second time I put one in it just from the strain of the character, pretty bad.

Unfortunately Hybrid Cell looks like garbage from the youtube reviews I've seen.

They're nice, GT Goku has ball hips which means better poses but limited arms because of design, but comes with a ton.
SSJ4 is fun to have because muh non canon uber strong, good sculpt. Vegito is just new head on Goku body. I wish he and super vegito were one pack-in but unfortunate.

I know they kept the v-crotch for sculpt accuracy but it kills me to wonder what the line coulda been with even basic ball hips. for 15 apiece they were crazy articulated. and even now with the awakening swivel hinge hips those woulda made hybrids the best small scale dbzguys.

I think the "premium" thing is shit, I was saying since US importers get huge stock of each release since SSJ Vegeta they were around for a while. It was just trapped syntax for Tamashii because the line does exponentially better here. But I do think that with Super and the Movies that Nips may be buying into it again/ so many of us that they need to go regular again to avoid massive buyouts, which can only be a good thing.

Just impulse bought an Android 18 off Amazon's Warehouse Deals for 67 bucks! I'm not the biggest DBZ fan, but I've always regretted passing her up when she was readily available. So, does anyone know why the Super Saiyan 3 Goku Figuarts has this horrible puke green stain all over him? Is it intentional? I don't remember Majin Buu barfing all over his Gi at any point. Also what's up with his hair? Why is it the nearly the exact same color as his skin?

Just some minor criticisms on an otherwise decent photo.
The lighting on Piccolo is opposite the lighting in the background picture.
Despite the cape being a straight solid piece, you managed to use the perspective really well to make it seem as though its falling with the heaviest part hitting the ground and the cape fluttering down after, so kudos.
Unfortunately though the small black pencil lines in the smoke heavily detract from the rest of that area, so maybe taking those out could help.

Thank you very much for the critiques, I've been trying to learn matching lighting directions as well but for this picture the main goal was learning to swap out backgrounds, so this was an older photo. I'll try fiddling with the lighting again but it may be worth it to just re shoot with a different set up. But yeah spot on about the black lines, I'll ditch that idea next time around

So what's the deal with amazon and dbz figs? I saw a couple figs on there over a couple years for retail price, but what is the deciding factor? Those are 3rd party sellers. Amazon used to always have Preorders for the Figuarts DBZ figures, but now some issue with Bluefin means that Amazon just gets them whenever they get them these days.

Trunks' sculpt has been soften compared to the prototype, jacket hinders articulation, sohis only redeeming quality is his huge accessory/face count for his price(3,990 Yen).

Now with the premium color priced at 4,200, different paint job but still the same sculpt with no improvement and less accessory/face, it's a no bueno.

Not that guy, but I remember when GT started airing on Toonami I bought this whole line of figures. Most of them are just bobbleheads, the head is so loose it just wabbles around and generally looks bad.

They got two hits and two misses imo. General Rildo and Super Baby Vegeta 2 were great.

I just picked up the SS Vegeta recolour.
I love the guy. Seriously, this body is so much nicer than the Gohan, Piccolo, and Vegetto I have. This and Goku Awakening are my favorite figuarts.

Lol, true. I just like how the legs are done for example rather than the other figures that have kind of awkward leg parts. It's also just really smooth, and the articulation feels super nice, and it's nice not having to deal with those shoulder parts that fall off.
