>Dr. Strange (movie)
FUCK. if it's the same as the white one but painted green, i'll be pissed that I bought the white one.
Cant belive a fucking movie Strange figure was announced before Netflix Daredevil. That's bullshit.
So I'm going to go pick up an Agent Venom for my friend soon, all they have at that Walgreen's is him and the yellow daredevil, but it seems to be the best place in my town for these figures. When will the regular Venom be coming out though? That's the one I want more than anything
don't know if he'll be barefooted. I forget which con this came from (I think NYCC 2015), but he's got das boots (get it?)
Fucking Marvel Infinite is sucking a fat dick lately. That wave with Korg was supposed to be out MONTHS ago and I have never seen a single figure from that wave in stores. Bullshit company fucking sucks.
> What a waste.
How come? You wanted this more classic speedo look?
This is the look of the upcoming Walgreens exclusive. It's his X-men uniform, only, with the trident belt buckle
>Figuarts releasing Civil War Iron Man and Cap in a few months instead of Xmen
>LEGO beat Legends to MCU Falcon
ML can suck on my dick
The right leg is much harder to find than the left leg for some reason. If you can't find one in the BST, your best bet is to camp out eBay. Both will involve a wait, but you'll probably have to pay upwards of $10 before shipping through eBay, no matter how long you wait.
dem chink sellers got a hold of the figures
taskmaster looks ok i guess
>no armored Moon Knight figure ever
Too much effort for a figure that might not sell well
Finally got Carnage. Was able to snag him for 25 dollars, easily one of my favorite legends. Can't wait for the new Venom.
Only thing weird is after moving his legs a little the torso seems to be coming loose from his legs. Made him a little difficult to balance. Haven't encountered this with other legends, anyway to fix?
other than sometimes the lower leg swivel not being perfectly aligned there is no major issue Ive had with the bootleg. I have both the original and bootleg and honestly not much noteworthy difference
bootleg BAF Goblin aint bad next to original
ko black cat is horrid though
If you listen to this, http://thefwoosh.com/2015/10/fwooshcast-special-hasbro-marvel-team-interview-at-nycc , at around 7mins28secs, they talk about NetFlix. No mention of 2017. They mention 2017 for the Angela figure.
>You wanted this more classic speedo look?
>This is the look of the upcoming Walgreens exclusive.
Actually, there is a rumor that the exclusive Namor could be a classic version that just utilizes the new head but with the Vision body.
The one shown here>>5379877 is the standard version much like we got 2 different Daredevils.
>It shouldn't take this long considering they re-use the same fucking molds for all their figures.
But that's just it, MCU figures usually all have unique molds. It's the comic-based stuff that generally uses the generic bucks.
DD will likely need an unique mold so the best bet is to wait. I don't want a half-assed attempt.
A Dirt Cheap opened recently in my home town. I looked at toys there at first and wasn't too impressed. I've gone back recently and found if i am willing to tolerate some missing BAF parts and odd swaps, i could get some good deals. I got the Target Ultron/Hulk/Vision 3 pack, minus Ultron, for $12, White Tiger with the wrong BAF parts for $10, Wasp with the correct BAF parts but a mushed box for $6.50, and a Thuderra w/o BAF for $5. From time to time there's some really bad swaps, though. I should have taken a picture of Cape Less Vision, Wrong Hulk, and The Last Capt Marvel in the aforementioned Target box. These 2 win the prize, though. On the left, Scarlet Spider has been swapped for SM 3 Green Goblin. Why leave the hands, though? The other is DC Collectables Two Face in either Chamelon or Kraven's box, no BAF parts. Soooo you swapped a $20 figure for a $25+shipping figure, nice going, dumbass. No, i'm not a dumbass for passing it up at Dirt Cheap's price ($10 i think) because all my BTAS stuff is the *old* stuff and i can't afford to replace it all with the admittedly very nice new stuff.
I found a much more subtle one the other day at Toys r us
...oh crap, i thought it was New Goblin because of the head and all the green and black! WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THAT? "Well, maybe he got Gills for a present and didn't want it!" He could have had 2 Scarlet Spiders at Wal Mart legit if he would have sold Gills on E-bay, some people's kids!
Man, it's weird how great the pizza-man body looks on everyone who's not spider man. The new ben spider man looks great, but then I see the regular spider man right next to him and I don't buy it.
Supposedly the street date was the second or something, people have reported seeing them at retail. Not sure what that means for online, bbts shipped their preorders already for instance, but amazon doesn't even have official listings.
Ebay listings say hasbro has a 2/1 embargo, but people are finding them at tru. Dorkside is waiting on getting permission to ship, but hasbro is on holiday or some shit. Bbts has em right now though as previously mentioned
I've had this guy for a while now, at first I was pretty disappointed with him. Last night I decided to get creative, and shaved some plastic from his hip joints.
Holy hell! Suddenly I need a figure stand so I can display him in some classic spidey poses.
Anyone have a good recommendation for a stand?
People that do this are morons. It makes no damn sense, you should just steal the toy. This is theft/fraud. Why go through all the trouble of buying the toy and coming back to the store with bullshit in your hands? Just steal it and don't come back.
See but, this is some idiot poorfag who has no clue what the hell they're doing. They think they made some kind of even trade, when really they could have sold the old one and just bought the new one, but that's something a human with a reasonable amount of intelligence would do.
You trim out the indented area in the circle to extend the slot the peg moves along.
Exactly. The legs are a bitch to get off (I was actually never able to), but there's enough clearance to easily get a dremel in there.
If you were able to get the legs off, you could shave it away with an exacto-knife but I imagine it would be frustrating, if not impossible, if you can't get them off the pegs.
look who just showed up! Now I need to track down a Spider-Gwen. She doesn't seem to be available online anywhere. It's annoying. Any luck in finding her anons?
I got all my Absorbing man wave last night from Bigbad, I'll take pics tonight, but man, fantastic wave. Minor bitches about this and that, but Hasbro is going strong on these Spidey figures.
There are handles on the sides of the grips. Jack uses the old hips and has awful ratcheted shoulders, so he's very hard to pose right. He's one of my bitches about the line. I was really looking forward to him, too.
His head can't look upward at all. If there's a hinge on the neck, the pumpkin is limiting it pretty bad.
The hips are those annoying wonky hinged ball swivels, so you have to move them to an angle you want then bring the legs out, etc etc.
What's the best way to remove paint from a legends figure? I'm gonna try what that guy a couple threads ago did and turn a spider girl into Jubilee. I've found the baf head and a coat that should work, I just need to remove the white spider-symbol from her chest and legs.
Little upset I can't find Gwen anywhere for a decent price, but oh well. The Rhino wave only is just coming out where I am, so hopefully I can snag a Scarlet Spider, Superior Venom, and Ghost rider.
Yeah, the Select is leagues better. He's pretty much perfect besides his size. Didn't know he was worth that much now, though. Godspeed, anon. I hope you find one at a price you're willing to pay, because he's great.
>love the way select venom looks
>can't stand the articulation
>absorbing man venom looks derpy as fuck
>like the articulation on the hyperion body
He's my favorite character too. What did I do to deserve this?
You could always just get both. I have both Antivenoms, and the select looks miles better, but has garbage articulation. I'd get the new Venom too, but like Gwen, he's sold out already. And there's no chance I'm getting select Carnage either.
I mean don't get me wrong, I already have the select and I've got an absorbing man case on the way. I just wish they didn't halfass the legends one, because it could have been perfect.
I know, but the word completely slipped my mind.
Anyway, here's my dream wave. Mania and Doppleganger are the figures I want most out of this, and I figure we'll be getting symbiote Spidey sooner or later.
What don't you like about the legends one anyway? I'm really happy that it comes with two heads like the select, because then if I ever get it, I can pose one with Venom's first appearance look, and the other with the open mouth and tongue. Probably would make the select in the classic form because that smile looks so great, but not sure how I feel about the green spit on the legends.
Mania wouldn't even be that hard to make. Just combine Ultimate Spider-woman with Mockingbird, add some spikes and a new head mold.
Okay, pics...pics... I like Absorbing Man more than I though I would. Wish his ball and chain wasn't a reuse and didn't kinda suck.
The fact that he has an extra head and arms makes me happy, too. All these extra bits make the wave feel much more substantial.
reliable seller too
I just want more and more Spdey waves. It reminds me of being a kid and the 90s Animated line being out...you could get so many villains so fast.
Again, Yay extra bits. I hope we get the real Beetle sometime...and Swarm.
And best I could do getting Jack on his broom. Those ratcheted shoulders are horrible! If you don't move them by holding right at the shoulder I bet the arm peg could tear.
I like Venom's open mouth head a lot better than I saw in the promotional pics. If I ever find him (or Gwen) I'll pick him up for sure
Also, do you have pizza Spidey or Carnage to take comparisons of with Spider-Carnage?
And Beetle's got a new body and head mold right? Gonna need some ass pics.
I'm in Canada and they're all MIB so shipping would be about $20/$25...
Yes. Off some guy off Kijiji. Here's the listing;
... or there it would've been if the guy didn't delete it. Makes sense since they're already gone
Jokes on you because I'm Canada too. On the west coast, but still.
What figures you get?
>I just want more and more Spdey waves. It reminds me of being a kid and the 90s Animated line being out...you could get so many villains so fast.
Are you me? That's what got me into Legends, all those Spider-Man characters, especially villains!
I'm stoked for this Abosrbing Man wave. I hope the Spider-Man waves keep doing well.
Just give them to me already hasbro you fucks. I'll even take a ridiculously overpriced exclusive set if i have to.
I wonder what the Iron Fist would be. I'm kinda hoping it's his original costume, Netflix version even though we have no idea what that is, or his Game of Death costume from The Living Weapon.
I do kind of like him, but I get tired of him after awhile.
Jay C on youtube already did a review of the Absorbing Man wave, and now wrapping up the Onslaught wave just for a heads up. I'm just going to wait it out for the figures. Isn't there a Toyfair in February?
Jay C is so fucking annoying in a whole different way than Shartimus. I hate how he talks and seems to unsure of himself, he always blocks the figure with his hands and at the end "oksothatsmyreview".
When was the last time we got Bullseye in Legends? That would be great. I'd also like a Super Skrull, maybe a BAF.
Yeah I kind of agree, he sounds like he's tired 24/7.
Just a heads up, my Walmart had Legends for $10. There were only a few to choose from, but I got Batroc! Fun figure, although the Thanos torso really sucks. No ab crunch at all.
Got a ben reilly from bbts, nice qc hasbro, webs look like theyre running away from his face
Ya, my first pizza Spidey I got was pretty bad like that. Luckily my local walmart soon had another, so I just swapped out the head and returned it.
That wouldn't even be an issue for me though, since I plan to only use the Carnage head if I ever find a hoodie Scarlet Spider.
My dick is diamonds.
Ulik though should be a BAF.
Swap out Fem Thor for Classic Bearded Thor.
This is like my dream wave but like Ulik, Skurge needs to be a BAF.
Surtur would need to be huge. There's no way he could be done properly IMO with only 6 or 7 BAF parts.
So, we've got a Magik & a Rightclops, will we see Emma & Magneto?
>everybody wearing black
>Emma fucking Frost wearing fucking black
Try local retail, like I think I saw him before at Walgreens with the exclusive version. A few days ago I saw two of them, but the next day they were gone. I have him already, but I think he's definitely harder to get. Best of luck anon!
Are there any figures you want that don't think they'll ever get the light of day again?
I grew up with the Spider-Man 90's cartoon toys and had a figure of Alistair here. A Legends of him would be neat. If he had his Spider Slayer costume that'd be fine too.
I gotta believe, otherwise, what's the point.
Similar to this, I feel we'll never get a 90's young vulture. I love old vulture, but the young one with the cybertech gear, I dug that a good deal.
Shriek or any of those from the family, unless they go full maximum carnage in a spider-man movie, we'll never see her, carrion, demo goblin... I could see doppleganger happening, cause he's in a spidey costume, they probably figure it'll sell as a novelty spider-man to kids.
Anything Shi'Ar. That's never happening in movies cause it's fox and MCU doesn't have it. It's all but dead in the comics. No Lilandra, no Deathbird, no Shi'Ar soldiers. No Starjammers, those are gone, all GotG now.
I just bought Scarlet Spider. Really happy with him.
I want more Spider figures, I really want a Mysterio. They need to make it happen along with a Green Goblin that isn't the Ultimate version.
I think Green Goblin is likely. He'd probably have the torso of the recently released Doctor Strange with new scaled arms and legs. Would probably have the pirate boots and big glove hands. Finally, his head would be new obviously.
There'd be plenty of reuse potential too considering how many Goblins there've been.
I checked two Wal-Marts near here and somehow the damn Odin wave is still clogging shelves.
I never even saw a lot of that wave when it was coming out but now I can't go anywhere without seeing a figure from it. I've barely seen the Rhino wave here, let alone the Absorbing Man or Red Onslaught wave.
Like holy shit DST what were you thinking. Happy they're a much better company now.
Serious question: What do you people get from purchasing wave after wave of gummy plastic and mostly reused parts, with minor tweaks and resculpts here and there just to get a semblance of "accuracy"?
>wave after wave of gummy plastic
Like, three figures in the last two years fit the "gummy plastic" description
>mostly reused parts
Most of which are appropriate. Superheroes are already reused parts in comics, just with different capes. Few artists are adding 10 more lbs to a character just so it'll look just slightly different enough to require a new sculpt for a toy 50 years later.
it's an addiction. a brand-driven addiction, surrounded by a community of shills and lackeys.
If you look closely at the line, you'll see a majority of the spider-shit we're getting is directly related to disney's ultiamte spider-man cartoon.
if it's in a cartoon or a movie, then that means little kids will bug the shit out of their parents for the shit.
So, they get the kids. they get the nostalgia collector, because it's a relatively inexpensive likeness to something they grew up with. They get the comic book people for the same reason.
It's all marketing, man. It's a brand. There are fucking psychological studies, involving magnetic resonance imaging to see the pleasure portions of the brain when stimulated by product.
Marketing pretty much has us all hemmed up tightly. Pick your poison. It's a ll the fucking same lol.
Then you have the reviewers and the "comic art" people. They're so addicted that they play with the shit, lending more screen time to the brand.
More customers are generated. More zombies.
Then you see little kids doing their own reviews, and the addiction is perpetuated further.
We see things we want to touch. Someone else has them, and we see them playing with the shit. We want that too.
It goes on and on. And it's not just marvel toys, or toys in general. It's everything.
Our culture is complete capitalism. And it's working.
>three figures in the last two years fit the "gummy plastic" description
>the joints in pretty much all iterations of the much vaunted Pizza Spidey body
>the joints in almost every AoU character, which doesn't make fucking sense as the reused mold from the WS Cap didn't suffer from the same problem
Definitely more than "three" or even "a handful".
>it doesn't matter what the quality of the material used is? We're gonna buy whatever they give us?
Judging by the continuous hype despite the soft sculpts, reused bodies, and outdated tooling, the ML fans are doing a very good job of that.
Out of that list, Ant-Man is the only one that comes close to having the "gummy plastic," and it is a piece of shit on par with some of the GOTG figures.
The rest, sounds like you got shitty figures or live in a really warm place, because I have all of those and zero issues with weak plastic like Ant-Man/GOTG.
Part of my late 2015/early 2016 haul. Select Venom is amazing except for the loose ankle joints, which are problematic when he's wearing his "backpack" (too top-heavy).
But my OCD is fucking kicking in hard on that figure, because I bought him loose, and there's the teeniest, tiniest scratch on his left eye, but I'll be goddamned if I can forget it's there and not focus on it. Anyone else this sick in the head?
Nah. If there's a serious problem, I'll pop down to my local game shop and grab a bottle of citadel, and fix it myself. You should do that. It will help you regain a sense of control in your life.
2/10 though getting me piqued enough to respond.
I know this is probably a troll question but fuck it, I'll give you a serious answer to your "serious" question.
And the answer is really quite simple. These are the best figures you can get of most of these characters for the price. No need to import, no need to wait on a figure for a month to arrive, and it's only $20. The reuse doesn't even bother me since it makes sense in the long run. Super heroes don't exactly have variety in their body types. I guess there are better options for some like Spider-Man, but again those are $50 or just in costumes I don't like. I'm an unabashed poorfag and I'd rather spend $20 on a figure that gets the job done, then save the $30 for a figure that DOESN'T have cheap and decent options.
I'll admit that not every ML figure is as good as their Spider-Men. I'll even admit some are outright garbage. There was no excuse for most of the Hulkbuster wave or the Ant-Man figure. The only waves I ever complete are the Spider-Man waves since those seem to have more effort thrown into them in both the BAFs and figures themselves. Other waves I just cherrypick or ignore all together because of what little interest I have in them and how shit the figures are. Even the best BAF cannot save an entire wave of terrible figures, such as the Hulkbuster wave.
>These are the best figures you can get of most of these characters for the price
Hell, it's the only figure a lot of these characters ever get. Some of my all-time favorites, like 08 DnA Star-Lord, Kaine, Agent Venom, Richard Rider- what the fuck else are they going to get? Spider-Man might get some really nice high-end thing. MCU characters might too. But for people who actually like comic books and those versions of the characters? There's not even anywhere else to go.
Does it have a tail lash gimmick or something? If it's the Lizard I am thinking of, I don't think it had a comic.
I don't remember the Spiderman Classics fogs having comics, only the standard MLs.
I bought the Legends Superior Spider-Man for MSRP and I love him! I don't know why I didn't buy him sooner.
I don't think there was a lizard in the clear clamshell spiderman classics waves
new exclusive select spidey went up for preorder
>literally pizza spidey with no pizza and less articulation.
there's sculpted detail and extra pieces, but
>camera with no hands to hold it properly
>dead stare pale as fuckface
Looks like a similar mold to the recent ASM2 Spidey they did. I think I'm gonna have to pass on this one, I usually am an MS fan but I have the old Comic Spidey they did, the aformentioned ASM2 Spidey, and Pizza Spidey. So I think I'm good when it comes to the standard costume. If I see it in person and it changes my mind maybe, but as of right now, meh.
What? Both the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb Spider-Men got loads of toys.
Unless you were talking about Spider-Man as he appears in Civil War? I can only guess that he'll get tons of figures like his predecessors
Just finished a crude web effect made from bendy wire.
Any tips on attaching the effect to the end of a spider-person's wrist? I've made one before, shown at the bottom, with a simple 'hoop goes around wrist' attaching method, but was wondering if anyone had any better ideas
I had a good method, but I've lost the web.
I made a circle at the end of the web, similar to the bottom one, but make it longer so you can close it and wrap it at the bottom of the web.
Then pop out spider-man's hand, and push the peg through the loop. put hand back on his arm.
I'll try and find mine so I can take a picture.
Avengers Best of Marvel Legends wave.
We'll probably get a Spidey figure of his Civil War suit(s). Might not be right away and might be in a Spidey wave rather than a Cap 3 wave, but it's Spider-Man we're definitely getting one.
Then we'll definitely get a bunch of stuff to tie into his solo movie, no question.
Leopardon/ Throwback Wave
>First Appearance Spidey
Yes there's a toy biz, but I wanna see Hasbro try Spider-Woman style plug in arm pit webbing.
>Classic/ cartoon Jameson.
Angry/Cigar chomping swappable heads
Another one Hasbro needs to take a shot at.
6 inch scale Noir Spidey now dammit.
excluding Noir Spidey, these could all be a super cheap redecos.
It's the big BAF we deserve
> 3 variants of the traditional red/blue costume
C'mon, son. I want to see all three of them too, but there's got to be better wave composition than that.
Noir getting a 3 3/4" figure is a good sign; it seems that the two lines end up releasing more or less the same characters in the end. Leopardon would be so fucking cool.
>So... what gave you the idea to ask about this one and not the other 6?
So, the movie is called Thor: the Dark World, right?
Logically, one would think that this movie has something to do with the... dark world where the dark elves are, and therefore Malekith. I checked Wikipedia to make sure before posting.
Though between that post and know I remember that Iron Man 3 had the Mandarin, though I only know this because I heard about it on one of the late night shows.
You post here, how the fuck do you not know about which villains appear in movies or not? You living under a rock? You have the internet and know what wikipedia is and are into marvel, stop bullshitting and just admit you're a faggot who doesn't know what strucker looks like in comic form.
>You have the internet and know what wikipedia is and are into marvel
That doesn't necessarily mean I go looking for what characters are in what movies, since I don't really have any interest in the movies. I don't know why this is such a big deal to you.
I will never get tired of this mold.
Flatman would come as an accessory with one of the others. I couldn't think of any way to make a proper figure of him that could justify being sold on its own. He'd either be thin flexible rubber/plastic or just a cutout.
I think of Master mold as the sitting dude with a door in his chest, I've never seen that version before.
he did that too. The 90's cartoon is based on the original appearance, while this versions is the 70's-80's style version.
Can anyone post a pic of Silvermane's head (that came with Speed Demon from the Absorbing Man wave) on a suited body? (Bruce Banner, Chameleon, Phil Coulson). I haven't seen anyone do it yet and I am curious to know if it fits on any of those bodies, because he sometimes wore a suit in the comics and cartoons.
watch JayC's (i know, i know, he's whatever) review of the female Beetle, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrm8IonETYo
He test's the Silvermane head out on a few bodies, to include the suited body.
