I've thought about trying my hand at some sort of diorama backdrop for a while now.
Happy New Year to my favourite dysfunctional family.
Here's to all the shitposting and arguments over how good/bad NECA is/was/has been.
Now post one of your favourite pics of your Neca toys doing zany things!
>>5370163
How long has it been since we got Engie and Spy? A Year? Two?
Well I beat Alien Isolation. I'm tempted to buy a couple more of the xenos to be, you know, accurate...and some eggs. Game was kind of eh overall. Very dull with all the fetch quests. I think NECA was kind to even give us what they did, considering.
Fuck those facehuggers though...
>>5370783
I haven't played Isolation yet, sadly. I did still pick up a couple of the NECA Isolation Xenos, though.
People seemed to make this out to be the savior of Survival Horror, though.
Took some pics of my Isolation Alien finally.

Post Isaac Clarke.
>>5371399
>>5371399
I picked up the Unitology suit variant on ebay yesterday. Now I have all of the Isaacs except the rarest/most expensive one, which is the bloody suit with the Ripper.
It's a shame they didn't include more weapons with each figure, the Line Gun or Flamethrower would have been cool to have.
>>5371399
Still the best figure they've put out IMO.
>>5371425
Shame they also never did figures of Gabe Weller's suit or the two from the third game, as mediocre as it was.
>>5371439
They really are great figures, I'm a sucker for light-up features.
I haven't played the third game but more Isaacs couldn't hurt. It's a shame the line died with just a few Isaac variants and the necromorph slasher. I imagine Neca could have done something really great given more time with the license.
Imagine one of those exploding enemies with a light up sack, or one of those black necromorphs with light up eyes... so much potential for amazing figures.
>>5371447
Honestly, there weren't exactly a lot of characters in the first two DS games.
Even for the enemies, there were maybe seven or eight different types across both of the first two games, and then like the black variants.
Regenerator/Ubermorph might have been cool. Also, the Military suit from the first game could have been neat. It was the only suit that actually had a unique look to it. The other suits just added a few more bits of armor pieces to the standard suit, it seems, and then there were some slight recolors.
DS2 had more unique looking suits, but they really only did the standard looking one from that game.
>>5371451
The Vintage suit from DS2 is my favourite.
Isaac is the real money maker so they would only need to make more variants for a risk free Dead Space line. There's enough monsters they could use to fill out the gaps in each wave, I think it could work.
Maybe they'll consider it when the inevitable sequel/reboot comes around.
How is the Xenomorph "Dog" figure?
>>5371471
The best Xenomorph NECA has done.
So I was unable to find neca superman at my local TRU, so I went online to find it. The best deal I found was a scalper selling them for $40 shipped. I went for it, got it a few days later, and as soon as I opened him, his ar snapped in two places. It was super odd, like there was no resistance to the breakage. So I contacted the guy telling him what happened, and he said it wasnt his problem (nicely) and told me I should contact neca. I did, even though thier policy is to go through the store. After asking the seller if he'd exchange it (he apparently buys them as soon as they come in and scalps them), he said hed be out of $40 if he did so no. So I eventually got a response from neca, and they said they'd mail me a new one, free of charge. All ends well, right? Well theres still the issue of mr scalper.
1) Im definitely leaving him negative feedback. No question about it. As someone who has sold items on ebay im prepared to deal with unsatified customers and defective products.
2) The main question is, do I fuck him over and file a claim. I mean, hes sold a dozen of these, and at that price hes probably made $150 profit already. Not only is he preventing people locally from getting a figure, but hes preventing them from returning a defective product. If he ends up giving me another, I will give it away, or if I get my money back oh well. But is it morally ok to file a claim on him?
>>5371602
>is it morally okay to fuck with a scalper
The answer is always yes. Milk that scumbag dry. Get a refund or a new figure.
When my series 5 genocide xeno's leg (bought new from ebay) broke right out of the packaging I sent it back and got a refund. The seller is the one distributing the defective product, even if it happened to be bad luck on my part, it was not my burden to bare. Luckily the guy I dealt with wasn't a dick and let me return it without any hassle.
Good luck bro.
So I told Dean to buy this awful custom Neca figure.. he actually did it the absolute madman
hahahahahahahahaha!
>>5371624
hey at least it was 75% off
>>5371633
I think it was originally priced at £130.
>>5370797
>People seemed to make this out to be the savior of Survival Horror, though.
It's not. Trust me, it's really not. It's got some solid elements, but the game is pretty damn flawed.
>>5371654
It was my goty when it came out. When you figure out the xeno the charm goes away. I was told that it could be anywhere on the station and aside from some set pieces every run through wpuld be different. Thay was a lie but still a fantastic time. I really like how the game realizes the stealth parts dont cut it, anymore and just gives you weapons instead.
What's the verdict on NECA's Terminator endo-skeletons? They look pretty damn cool for army builders, but they look like they could be super breakable at the same time.
>>5371717
Its nice, neat moving pistons and good articulation. No breakage issues, but he cant stand. Get something to prop him up.
>>5371749
>he can't stand
This. So much this. Mine would fall over even though I was using Neca disc stands, so I put them back in their boxes :^(
Damn loose floorboards make my detolf shake whenever someone walks by.
>>5371471
Incredible. Best Xeno. Looks fucking gross.
>>5371717
Fiddly as hell but nice looking. I had to return the first one I bought as his pistons were broken off in the box. Can't stand very well at all. Feels pretty insubstantial in the hand, but still worth getting. I'd eyeball a Walmart right about now if you want one as they've been clearancing them out.
>>5371857
>Neca stands
Those are some of the shittiest stands I've ever seen. About half of mine had pegs too wide to fit their figures, and the other half had pegs too long. I'm not using a single one currently.
>>5372279
Really? That bad? The only issues I have is when the holes on the figure's feet are too big or too small to fit the peg. That's not really the fault of the stands though, the figures should have universal hole sizes.
I use them with pretty much all of my Neca figures (except some wave 3 Predators cause their flat feet and stiff crotches means they can stand well on their own) They even work with my Revoltechs. They're so much better looking than a spindly plastic arm clutching at your figures waists, or a plastic rod poking out of their backs. I tried the bandai tamashi stages and the figma stands and they just ended up making my display look tacky.
>>5371717
I like mine a lot. If he just had a few more joints for the neck, torso, wrists, and ankles, he'd be pretty near perfect.
>>5371749
>>5371857
You should use a tamashii nations stand. Works way better to have something to hold their weight up rather than just giving them something to anchor their feet down, especially since a lot of NECA's top heavy figures will just bend their knees/ankles and fall over.
>>5372300
Don't listen to him. They're actually really useful stands, they don't fit everything, but that's normal considering they've got toys that are several years old now and things've changed since then.
They also make freallyor , really good stands for Diamond Select figures I've found.
>>5372340
>freallyor ,
I don't know what the fuck happened there. "They also make for really good stands" is what I meant to type...so there.

>>5372412
Love display cases like that! You should see my full set up. I'm really cramped. I think it's time to get rid of my tranaformers. I need room for my Queen Alien coming
>>5372422
Every collection needs a Detolf! I just wish I had room for a second one, I'd probably have one dedicated to Neca figures. This is what it looked like before my collection started getting out of hand.
I have no idea how I'm going to accommodate the AvP waves once they reach the UK.

>>5372719
I'd say keep a eye on eBay for auction-style listings.
The BINs are fucking ridiculous. USD listings are usually at $100~$150 for DS1 Isaac, but the auction-style listings usually go for $50-$60. Still two or three times what they originally went for, but there's no reason to pay the ridiculous prices people are trying to get for them.
That DS2 Isaac is usually cheaper though.
I still don't have any either...
>>5372726

I feel the same, completely destroys the illusion of life.
>>5372726
I got some 'decent' deals on mine, I don't really care about figures being MIB as long as they're in mint condition.
>£35 for used but mint DS1 Isaac w/ plasma cutter, no box.
>£30 for brand new MIB DS2 Isaac.
>£28 for used but mint DS2 Isaac in Unitology suit (SDCC 2009 exclusive), no box.
I still can't find a necromorph for under £30, realistically the most I'm willing to pay is £20. You're right about buy-it-now listings, those prices are insane.
>>5372730
>no plasma cutter
You are never ever going to have that weapon for him man. That would have been a deal breaker for me.
>>5372799
>DS1 Isaac in Unitology suit*
It's one of the coolest repaints I've seen.
>>5372412
I've got that poster as part of one of my way poorer and less fancy displays. The guy I got it off of said it was one of the original theater ones.
Gonna get one of NECA'S Dutch figures soon, the face is great from what I've seen.
>>5372818
The bloody Isaac variant annoys me. The figure is nearly identical to the 'clean' version (which already has some blood on it), the only major difference is that it comes with the Ripper instead of the Plasma Cutter, and somehow it became the most expensive version of Isaac on the aftermarket.
I have no desire to own the figure and I'll be dammed if I pay £50+ just so I can have the Ripper.
>>5372850
Mine is just a laminated A4 print, it's cool to have a backdrop for my Predator shelf though.
Nice retro Aliens figures :^) Dutch gets a very high recommend from me, easily one of Neca's best figures. I like the Jungle Patrol version the most.
>>5372869
>Jungle Patrol version
Yeah, that's the one I'm leaning toward. The Jungle Extraction one is tempting though.
I'd like to get an Aliens Ripley as well but I'd have to look at them in person, the face looks awful in a lot of the pics I've seen.
>go to TRU
>look for neca
>only 8-bit Gremlins and classic POTA
Post-christmas truly is a dark age.
>>5372898
Yeah, TRU sucks after Christmas. We wouldn't start getting full trucks again until abooout March, getting ready for Spring phase changes.
So i just noticed today the package I got from TRU a few days ago was supposed to have 3 figures but only had arthas and tyrael(I thought the third was shipping separately). they straight up fucking forgot the isolation xenomorph, the box couldn't even fit all three. How do you fuck up that bad? Now I have to wait for tomorrow for live chat BS to be open because they don't do email customer service for some reason.
>>5372730
>At a convention
>NECA Isaac for 40$
>I guess that's decent
>No plasma cutter
Fuck, the plasma cutter is important! I got into toy collecting AND Deadspace way too late.
>>5373218
TRU will send in multiple shipments sometimes, are you sure that this isn't the case with your order? Did the packing slip have 2 items listed or all 3?
>>5373225
I jumped onto the Dead Space bandwagon just in time to be disappointed by 3. Excellent franchise aside from the third major entry. Fuck EA. Give me more figures. There can be a fantastic line just on Necromorph's alone. I'd shell out for a Guardian in a heartbeat.
>>5373218
If the box cannot fit all three, then the item is either being shipped separately in a 'fuck we just forgot to include this with your order' solution, or the item was sold out/cannot be found/etc and they forgot to notify you.
Check the packing list, if only 2/3 of the items are listed, it's the latter. I've worked at the TRU warehouse, and that's how it usually is (unless the person who packaged it is really fucking bad at their job and couldn't verify the packing list for a damn.)
Are the Bioshock figures any good? I have a Big Daddy, Delta, and a Little Sister but her arm fell off almost immediately.
>>5373245
They should do a deluxe set like the Predator Trophy wall that is like, a corner of the Ishimura. One side could have the Guardian, and there could be a vent you could leave in, or pop it out to have a Necro climbing out.
Could have some of the fleshy goop running along the walls, and have some growths and stuff. Maybe even throw in a couple accessories they never did, like a large medpack, or some of the guns they never made, or just some generic, stackable crates.
>>5373249
>Are the Bioshock figures any good?
Some of the best, actually.
>>5373257
It can still get shipped separately. That's happened to me before...now if the extra box doesn't show up in the next day or so, I'd raise a stink. Most of the time they show up at the same time.
Someone in the last thread asked about headswapping the old Predators onto the new AvP bodies. Specifically, Ahab. It....sort of works.
The problem is that the new AvP bodies are bigger than the old bodies, so the head are noticeably bigger, too.
It works for Ahab, since he has one of the removable masks, and the removable masks always makes the heads look a little bigger, even on the older bodies.
Also, the mask is relatively the same silvery color and has similar weathering, so it doesn't look too bad on the AvP body.
Of course, the unmasked head looks stupid as fuck, because it is the wrong color, it is too small, and it sits up way to high.
And why is that....?
...Because the pin for the AvP body is like, twice as long for the head socket. The actual "peg" that the head sits on is roughly the same size, at least.
Unfortunately, it is a little bigger than the pin in the Ahab figure. And Ahab was kind of notorious for having a pretty loose head socket, so it stretched the hole in his head out far enough that it pretty much doesn't even stay on the old body anymore....just kind of sits on the peg on the old body now....
Not that it really stayed on super well to begin with.
Groovy

>>5370797
>>5371654
That happened because where "Alien: Isolation" succeeded (an actual good game despite being based on a movie property), "Evil Within" managed to be a colossal failure, especially with the latter being hyped as the next coming of survival horror made by horror vet Shinji Mikami.
So yeah in a way, where Evil Within screwed up, Alien: Isolation managed to pick up the pieces and provide a decent horror experience at the time thus proving that AAA games can still churn out decent horror games.
>>5373579
I ended up liking TWE more though. Speaking of Bethesda, I'd kill for a Corvo.
>>5373581
Not saying Evil Within wasn't decent in any way, just that it failed to meet the huge commercial hype compared to the sleeper hit that was Alien: Isolation. It didn't help that it was often compared/viewed as a rehash of Resident Evil 4, which was also directed by Mikami and had won a lot of GOTY awards.
>>5373586
Makes sense. I'd say Isolation was the better product, I just enjoy Evil Within more. Isn't there a Keeper figure?
>>5373591
I think there might have been a statue at the time when the game came out.
Slattern when? Seriously, it's one of the only things I need in my collection right now. It's probably my favorite Kaiju design from PR and the lack of any announcement on NECA's part is killing me.
>>5373604
Probably because it would be by far the most expensive of the smaller line to date. Slattern is huge and there's no opportunity for a mold reuse like with Otachi either.
>>5373633
If NECA were to release it in various colors based on the movie's colors and one of the concept art (similar to Tresspasser and Axehead), I'd actually get all of them.
>>5372318
I cant bring myself to use a $15 stand for a $15 figure. Even if I get three in a box. If you can hunt down the Infinite Moon 1/10th scale stands, those would work great for it for a better price. As long as you dont want any poses that are too crazy.
https://youtu.be/eU2DRVtubfw
>>5374008
There are bootleg Tamashii stands on ebay which are just as good as the real thing considering the price. I got 3 for £5 and the only fault I can find with them is they have more bubbles in the clear rods than the official ones do.
This is a new level of stupid, even for eBay.

I really don't want to get into this sort of argument because I actually like Kaiju films but I'll be honest in saying that I personally like how Slattern was designed mainly because its overall frame and design actually seemed more suited as an underwater creature (which matches the film's climax quite perfectly).

A comparison next to a Final Chapter Jason. NES Jason is of course a Part 3 version, so you can see the difference in masks and size.
>>5374812
Comparison with the new Jason Lives figure. You can see they really sorta blew it on the sculpt for the mask on the Jason Lives figure. Still wondering if the Mego version of the Jason Lives' can have it's mask swapped out with the new figure.
>>5374824
Jason with his mother's head.
>>5374789
There's something a little off about that face sculpt, I know it's supposed to be old Arnie but it doesn't seem as accurate as the younger versions or Dutch.
>>5374833
The Pops figure isn't the greatest, but it's still very decent. My only two major gripes on him are that it's hard to get him in any good poses with his gun and that his interchangeable arm is in so tight that I don't dare risk swapping it out, for fear that it might break in the process.
The Sarah Connor's got a better sculpt though, plus they gave her three guns and a knife.
>>5374850
Also Sarah's got three interchangeable heads depending on how you want her displayed.
>>5374833
I just think it isn't as detailed as Dutch or the T2 T-800.
The sculpt seems a little softer, and the paint seems a little thicker.
Then again, I don't have the Pops figure, I just have the Guardian T-800, and he looks the same as Pops.
>>5374864
It's actually a really good sculpt, it's one you can appreciate more in person than someone's crappy photos.
>>5374866
I'm not saying it is bad, just not quite as detailed as some of the past Ahnolds we've gotten.
>>5374870
I'm not really sure what you mean. The clothes have texture, face is textured and wrinkly where it should be. I mean he doesn't have a shit ton of guns and straps on him, yes. But that's the fault of the movie's design really.
This is more of a 'normal' human look really.
>>5374875
>He looks decent, just not as good as other T-800s or Dutch.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
>>5374864
I would say the paint is slightly thicker and perhaps wonky on Pops. It's hard to tell but in certain lighting, you can spot things like slight spotting on his skin and such from when they painted his hair, etc. Paint may have something to do with the issue.
>>5374875
>No need to get personal
Not getting personal. It's just my opinion that they are, indeed, really bad photos.
>>5374884
Your opinion of the photos has no relevance to the discussion.
>>5374887
Except it's difficult to tell what's going on, and you can't make out the figure and the detail, so, yes, bad photos don't push the discussion along either.
>>5374893
They do look pretty accurate. The only criticism I have is the lighting is a little too warm and a couple of the Jason ones don't seem to be as focused as the others. Maybe use a less busy background too, but that's just a nitpick.
Does anyone have Gordon? I recently found out it existed, but the prices aren't too friendly.
>>5374875
I'll be sure to flash some NECA figures if there's some in town for you lad :^)
I hope there's at least the new Jasons, if not the AVP trio
>>5375094
We'll get them in February.
I tweeted Randy today asking if the UK is ever going to get the new 7 inch scale Joker/Batman/Superman figures. He didn't reply.
Got my replacement superman today, third time's the charm apparently, all the joints work great. He was boxless and had no extra flying hands(can just take em from the broken one anyways), but came pretty quickly since I just sent the email with my address a few days ago(previous email didn't go through that I sent a month ago). NECA's CS person is a god send.
Finally getting around to getting these bitches together. Man, this fills me with the utmost joy. I remember being on Spawn.com, begging, pleading for Todd to hear us and release fucking Chopper/Gill so we'd have all three AvP Preds finally.
Frankly I'm glad that never happened. Because it never would've been as good as these motherfuckers. Thanks NECA. ThNECA.
>>5372365
i bought the Leatherface 40th anniversary. grab it if you can find one, best looking Leatherface imo.
>>5375158
That's really good to hear man! He's a very nice figure.
>>5375164
There's very, very minor nits with things, so they're not 100% perfect, but they're close enough that I really can't bitch. I love these figures.
>>5375168
I guess it's ironic that we're getting such great figures from a movie that most people loathe.
>>5375171
I also got Pops. I like him. He does have difficulty holding the shotgun (same hands as the previous old Arnold, which works with THAT shotgun, not so much this one). It's doable though, just not as pretty. That's okay though, cause...
>>5375183
I prefer him like this. This is how I'll be displaying him.
>>5375186
The arm peg is nice and thick, but kind of a bitch to pull out at first. Just a matter of rotating and pulling though. I like the simpleness of the stub, though. Just a peg. No ball, no head, just a cylinder that slides in and stays put. Works like a charm.
>>5375190
And Pops n'Pops. The CGI'd younger Ahnuld and older Ahnuld definitely share the same base face sculpt, but there are new wrinkles and bits on the face on older Arnold. Works for me.
I'm happy to have a multi-generational Arnold Schwarzenegger collection now!
So with all of this and the Alien Isolation wave...it's been an expensive ass year. My wallet aches. But I'm really happy with what's come out.
>>5375193
>definitely share the same base face sculpt, but there are new wrinkles and bits on the face on older Arnold. Works for me.
As I say that, I notice that the eyes are sculpted different. So maybe they are two unique sculpts. I don't know.
Are they up for preorder? If they are, where's cheapest?
>>5375164
Man, I like celtics mask the best, but chopper has those bitching blades and skulls, I can't choose.
>>5375366
Calamine lotion makes terrible camouflage.
>>5375459
The only answer is to buy all three :^)
>>5375459
>>5376085
I think I like Scar the best of the bunch.
Realistically in the end, it mostly comes down to the heads. I mean, Chopper does have the cool blades, and Celtic has the more neat looking helmet. But other than varying up the thigh armor, and Celtic and Chopper not having the strip of armor, they're all pretty much identical.
Scar has probably the best unmasked head in the entire line, though. It just looks great.
Wave 15 looks a little bland once you get used to all the articulation and detail, but honestly, seeing them vary up the armor and the color and stuff is going to be pretty damn cool once they get around to that Concrete Jungle Predator and that Kenner Elder they showed off.
Hope they end up doing the Ancient Elder AvP Predator at some point too. I really figured he'd be in wave 15.
>>5372365
>tfw you missed out on Ultimate Freddy
He wasn't going to be expensive for a long time I said.
Get him later I said.
I'm sure I'll find him at Toys R Us I said.
I really wish I pulled the trigger sooner.
>>5376101
>Hope they end up doing the Ancient Elder AvP Predator at some point too. I really figured he'd be in wave 15.
It kind of baffles me that they're doing Temple Guard and Warrior Predator in the same wave, but no Elder. They all had very minimal screen time, but the Elder with the big ass cape is easily the most memorable of the three.
I really hope they nail the design like they have with wave 14, a poseable cloth cape would be neato.
>>5376139
I learned with other neca figures to jump almost as soon as you see them or you'll be out of luck.
Any new figures on the way lads?
I've got Sam Fisher, Lab Coat Zombie and Unitology Isaac coming this week. Still waiting for new stuff to hit the UK, has anyone got ultimate Sarah Connor here yet?
>>5376542
Is DS2 Isaac good? His helmet looks a little weird to me.
>>5376817
He's basically a half-statue. Nothing exceptional but a nice addition. Disappointing after the original isaac.
>>5376817
What do you mean? The advanced suit from DS2 has a more angular/robotic design compared to the level 3 rig from DS1.
>>5376845
He has a lot of articulation, but it's limited by the design. Like for example in my pic I have DS1 Isaac holding his plasma cutter with two hands, I couldn't get that pose from DS2 Isaac. I do prefer the first game's suit, it looks less tacticool and more like something a space mechanic would actually wear.
>>5376542
Nothing new, sadly. Hoping there will be some new stuff when I go to Newcastle next week.
Got my 'literally who' figure today.
I must say I haven't been this happy with a human character from Neca since I got Dutch (who is pretty much perfect in my book).
For a 5+ year old Neca toy it has some great articulation. The fact that he can effortlessly two-hand his gun makes me very happy, and the bulletproof vest/bag switching gimmick is really cool. The sculpt and paint are spot on.
My only gripe is that I can't seem to get his knees to bend. I've bathed them in hot water and attempted to remove the excess paint from the joints but they don't seem to want to budge. Apart from that he's 10/10, I cannot fault him as a £20 figure.
>>5378973
How long did you let the knees soak for?
I forgot that figure even came out, it really was under the radar.
>>5378979
Like 2~ minutes, in boiling water.
The other joints have loosened up fine, there was a lot of excess paint in his elbow and knee joints which I chipped away with a small flathead screwdriver.
There's enough room to wiggle the knees slightly but it doesn't feel like the joint is rotating when I attempt to bend them, like if I tried bending them any more than a few degrees they'd probably snap.
I'm stoked for the Ultimate Part VI Jason, should be here in a few days...
Do you think NECA will do an ultimate part VII? Or even go back to part II? I know NECA has done those figures, and I have both of them but they're basically statues. The part VII figure I have is actually one of the best sculpted and painted figure I've ever seen to be honest.
Would also love an Uber Jason... all the Jasons really. Not retro styled stuff. They're cool for what they are but I'm not really into that.
>>5379166
I think as long as they keep selling well, they'll consider new versions. Jason X would be pretty spiff though.
FUCK
toyfair cant come soon enough. Little more than a month away right?
What reveals do you guys think theyre gonna do
>>5379296
Need to see painted Ash from Ash VS.
>>5379166
NECA Freddy vs Jason two-pack when?
Not to knock Ult. Freddy, but I'd also love to get a more 'generic' variant with the stripped sleeves + melted cheese pizza make-up, with proper leg articulation too. I don't think it'd be entirely worth my while to bend to scalpers for the "Freddy's Revenge" version.
YES
>>5379379
>NECA Freddy vs Jason two-pack
holy shit I would fucking love it
I had the original two pack when it came out, with the whole burning wood floor base, it was fucking awesome. I was like 11 when that came out though, don't have it anymore. I would die if they did that again with up to date articulation
>>5379379
Several years ago.
>>5379387
>mfw they were only referring to the Nu52 Supes
Ultimate Lara Croft when?
>>5379413
Squenix should just give Neca the Play Arts Kai molds for them to shrink
>>5379423
I think Neca would do a better job of hiding the joints, and painting the face.
>>5379442
That isn't real, is it?
>>5379454
Yes.
My penis needs this. Now.
After all that money I already spent though, argh...
>>5379166
I'd love either an Uber Jason or The New Blood Jason figures.
Freddy vs Jason pack would be neat too. Also a 7-inch Roy Burns. Really I'll take almost any Jason.
>>5372552
its awesome
>>5380199
Is it worth $60?
>>5379752
Billy?
>>5378973
...is that Agent Booth, from Bones?
>>5380316
It's Sam Fisher
What are their 2016 plans so far?
>>5380980
hopefully more kenner preds
and nes TMNT
Hey guys, I just ordered the Chopper Pred off of NECA's Amazon page. Do they usually ship fast? For some reason when you order directly from NECA it doesn't allow you to choose expedited.
>>5381206
I've pretty much always gotten my stuff from them within 2-3 days.
>>5381212
ok cool.
>>5379454
It also costs like $140. Not a typo. Shitty ass pak.
>>5380322
Is this Sam fisher new? Why are people trying to get like $100 for him?
I want to buy my first action figure ever
and I wanted to ask are the NECA figures which are being sold on aliexpress.com this chinese website with free shipping, original? they are a bit cheaper and considering I dont live in the us that's one of my few options
>>5381724
Everything that I'm aware of on AliExpress is a knockoff. I've bought a few MLB jerseys off of there and they're not bad quality, but not perfect either. I imagine the figures are the same, but I'd rather spend the few extra bucks and get the right ones.
>>5373548
lucky devil I want that but not as the prices hes going for now.
>>5382141
thanks! will save money then rather than risk
>>5381724
If you want to buy a cheap but solid action figure, you could try out one of the early NECA predators, like the Unmasked Berserker.
If you just want a great cheap action figure period and aren't afraid of bootlegs/non-NECA check out the Datong Frieza
>>5382342
There are a few decent bootlegs out there, but if you want a NECA figure and are buying off AliExpress try and find the NECA TMNT bootlegs. The bootlegs are apparently actually better than the real figures,
>>5383027
Those paint apps look pretty good for a bootleg, how's the joints though? I know one complaint with bootleg Figma/Revoltech is that the joints tend to crumble and break in normal usage.
>>5384358
That bootleg is from Datong, and they're putting out some of the best bootlegs for those DBZ figures.
Not perfect, but pretty damn close.
Just got the old T-800 Guardian, and added more damage scarring to the face and chest injuries.
It kind of bugs me that the battle damage in Genisys was nowhere as bloody or visceral as the ones in T1, T2 or T3. Like, instead of having shreds of flesh dangling or ripped off, it's literally entire chunks being cleanly removed, for instance the Guardian vs young T800 fight.
Rant aside, the older T-800 figure is pretty darn good. Just wish that they included fists with the magnetic thingies and maybe an exposed left endo arm.
I had to send Unitology Isaac back, I'm so disappointed, but this was some shady bullshit on the sellers part.
All of the joints except the shoulders had been super glued. I managed to get the legs and torso unstuck but the elbows, knees were completely fucked. The cherry on top was probably the gun missing a piece of the tip and being glued into his hand or maybe the LED in the helmet not working despite me asking prior to purchasing and being told 'yes it works'. None of this stuff was depicted in the photos or mentioned in the description, which vaguely read 'good/clean conditon'.
Watch yourselves when buying on eBay lads.
>>5384529
What? they weren't even broken and super glued, just straight up glued for no reason? Why?
Anyways, sorry to hear that. That's why I try to avoid loose figures in general, never know what they've been through.
>>5384413
Yeah, that was a big problem with the whole movie, it was them trying to sanitize it for a wider audience, sadly.
>>5384582
Yeah, the figure is perfect in terms of the actual condition, aside from the missing piece on the plasma cutter.
The previous owner has attempted to turn it into a statue with super glue. It's crazy, they even glued the torso, you can't even see the damn torso joint. Look at the mess of glue at the bottom of the ribcage section, it looks awful.
>NECA Witcher 3 when?
>>5384358
It's pretty fucking great. The joints are all tight and snug. For a bootleg of a figure that goes for quite a bit now, it's a welcome sight.
>>5384529
Some people are the worst, man. It's mainly why I avoid buying loose. Well, that and the off-chance of jizz.
>>5384413
Gotta sell the movie to kids.
>>5384887
She's pretty creepy herself.
>>5384991
This.
That shit reeked of fedora tipping.
What is this?
>>5385107
My guess is, it'll be this guy. The Kenner Stalker Predator.
>been a while since I bought a new Predator
>maybe I should get Albino just to complete my Dead End collection
>Might as well since he's only £15 on Amaz-
>no longer available from that seller
>£30 everywhere else
Fuck. I waited too long lads.
>>5385216
I don't know what the cuck bucks to freedom currency exchange is, but Albino is $70 here in Trumpland. Consider yourself luck.
>>5385265
I just bought him and Big red for 70. Loose but in great shape.
>>5385384
>that amazon seller will never randomly get a box of Big Red's like they did with the Albino and Ahab
I'll just have Viper as my samurai predator.
>>5385421
This kind of posting is what makes me glad I buy shit right when it's out instead of waiting. It sucks trying to budget it, but the aftermarket is not kind these days. Bleh.
>>5385427
Yeah, I just recently (2014) started collecting actual figures instead of video game/comic statueshit. It's hell on the wallet trying to catch up on the interesting designs I missed. I might start getting the DC females for lewdposing and the somewhat comparable size
>>5385107
fuck me, that looks sweet!
shit, more kenner preds, i didn't need my money anyway...
Ugh everyone talking about big red predator on here. Literally like a week before I started collecting preds, I saw big red at hastings. This was when it came out. I debated for a few minutes and put him back. Then I came back to buy him and it was gone. I drove 45 minutes to the store too to buy it. Luckily a bro on here sold me a loose one a long time ago for 20 bucks.
I just got Nightmare 3 Freddy. Has anyone posted pics of him yet?
I think this looks fucking cool. The Satanator will find a home in my collection.
Would anyone recommend the Home Alone figure?
http://www.amazon.com/NECA-Home-Alone-Clothed-Action/dp/B013FABCPS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1452133499&sr=8-4&keywords=Neca+figures
>>5385793
Which one? The needle-fingers variant, or one with the torn sweater and the souls in his chest?
>>5385146
dat chest
Broken Tusk retool please NECA
Got the three AvP Preds today. I'm really impressed with these guys. They're a huge upgrade over the previous body. My Celtic has a stuck hip joint, so he's getting the boiling/freezing treatment, but other than that the QC was great. Really excited about the other figures they decide to do with this body after they finish with the AvP crew.
Do you think Neca will see the overwhelming positive AvP reviews and do an updated Jungle Hunter body. The new articulation and build quality of the AvP preds is great, but I hate the AvP body proportions in general. I'd love them to do Jungle Hunter proportions with new articulation.
>>5387117
I mean it could happen later on probably. Retooling/resculpting bodies does take money and time. As long as Pred shit keeps selling, I'd say it's plausible.
>>5387117
>not liking swole Predators
What are you, gay?
>>5387117
The proportion of the figures is fine, and pretty different from the Preds in the movie.
In the movie, they were stocky, kinda short, and had kinda big heads.
The figure are more athletic and leaner, somewhat like the previous figures. Difference is that they look bulkier due to having practically full-body armor, and a bunch of extra shit strapped all over them.
Even Bad Blood looked pretty bulky compared to other Preds that used the City Hunter body, just because his armor was bigger, and he had all those skulls and stuff all over.
>>5386657
>>5387117
Also, Randy has already said that when they end up getting back to AvP:R to do 2.0 versions of those figures (Wolf and the Predalien, which sounds like it will likely be next year) they're going to do another brand new body for Wolf. So, I guess we'll see what that eventually brings.
>>5387597
> Wolf 2.0
Muh dick
>>5387597
>brand new body for Wolf
What a time to be alive
>>5387618
>>5387714
Nothing's going to fix that goofy looking face, sadly.
>>5387722
Leave the helmet on him, then.
I always thought Wolf had one of the cooler looking helmets, and I feel like most Predators look better masked. I just like the look more, in most cases.
Though Wolf was always kinda cool, since he is one of only two Predators I know of who has kind of a fucked up face.
Any of you lads got any new figures? I'm still waiting for the new Jasons to land on the UK shores
A fair warning to all my UK Neca-friends, do not buy this DS2 Isaac on ebay.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dead-Space-2-Isaac-Clarke-7-inch-Figure-by-NECA-/381513264942?hash=item58d3f66f2e:g:wbIAAOSwJkJWhQ2F
This is the seller who sold me the super glued statue >>5384529
Note the same shitty pose with both figures on the listing photos.
I hope Randy keeps his word cause those prices are bullshit.
>Grid bites hole in Celtic's head
>not one second later the hole is suddenly gone
Celtic confirmed for still alive.
He will be the star of AvP3, mark my words.
Finally got ult Jason today.
Not much to say other than he is a great figure. It's nice to have a non mego or static leg posed version of him finally
>>5387970
How much was he in Australian bucks?
> Have sweet new Preds
> now want Alien Queen for them to beat on
I really hadn't planned on spending more on toys this month. . .
>>5387970
C'mon. Make that more accurate. We all know Razor Ramon could easily beat Jason up
>>5387970
fixed it for you buddy
>>5388368
We didn't even get those figures over here. Non-Americans have to pay those scalping shits to get them
>>5387784
Waiting on t-1000 to come out to ship my pile of loot, has celtic, stitches, sarah, and isolation xeno, don't know if I can hold out.
>>5388484
>UK doesn't even have Isolation figures yet
Jesus Christ I hate living here, Murica has had those figures for ages
>>5388591
the isolation wave just hit malaysia
so it'll probably 2 weeks for the avp wave to arrive
>>5371602
>>5371610
Update to Scalper watch 2016. I contacted NECA, gave the guy a negative feedback, and then filed a report with eBay. Neca is sending me a new figure, free of charge, and ebay is refunding my money once I ship off the figure. Might I add that I bought two Superman figures expecting to lose on one, and the 2nd one is fine. So I paid $80 for two, got two working ones, $40 back, and fucked over a scalper. I will eventually give the 2nd figure away.
Just got Sarah Connor today, she's wonderful.
Just got my ultimate Jason
like... What the fuck happened to the neck joint? I saw a buncha reviews that said it was loose, but goddamn...
I still like it, but shit man. Oh well, atleast its not like he needs it to balance
>>5388591
Don't forget the HotS figures.
Mail.
Should I post some pics?
>>5388732
also his right leg is pretty loose at the hip. Thattl probably get worse overtime like my Part 3 and NES jason. Overall a good fig but far from perfect... the neck thing is bugging the hell out of me though. It's like the socket is 3 times larger than the ball
>>5388795
Yes. Make them curbstomp Samus.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32SXdn2slbY
you knoe
>>5388802
>Yes. Make them curbstomp Samus.
Ill be sure to add that to list of pictures to do lol.
My first impressions are that the sculpt and paint are both very impressive.
>>5388971
The articulation is much improved. Double elbows, double knees. Swivel at the thigh AND the knee, which is very nice. Ankles pivot and tilt.
Neck is still pretty restricted, and although he has torso cruch, that armor strip that runs from his boobies to his crotch makes sure you wont be able to take advantage of it. STILL, pretty fucking impressive.
>>5388978
Heres a little gimmick I didnt know existed.
>>5388981
The paint really is impressive, especially when you factor in the $22 price tag.
>>5388986
The blades are super cool. Very delicate though.
How's Agent 47?
>>5388978
can you showcase how far he can crouch?
>>5389004
>can you showcase how far he can crouch?
Realistically, this is about as much as you're going to get. You can see where the skirt is restricting any further thigh movement.
>>5388732
Just glue it to the peg. He'll still have the full range of motion via the balljoint.
>AvP Xeno, inaccurate grid, and transparent chap not until at least April
The wait is going to fucking kill me. Now that we have AvP Preds, the collection looks so incomplete without the Xenos.
>>5389020
i'm just glad we have double jointed elbows now
can't fucking wait for mine to come, will probably be 2 more weeks
>>5389020
So these are pretty much the same bucks with different heads and armor glued on, which I think everyone knew going in right?
Still, there is enough different with each one that it feels like a new figure. Plus they come with different hands that be swapped between figures. I kinda wish they had given you a full set with each pred, but hey, at $22 I'd rather have extra weapons with the figures I guess.
OOT, but I just finished watching the '87 Predator film, and man was that a disappointment. The action was dull, the deaths unimpressive, the plot nonexistent and the SE awfully dated. I figured I might ask here what you guys thoughts are on that film, maybe I'm missing something.
>>5389055
Another cool gimmick, a booth sheath for the knife.
>>5389056
Here's your response.
>>5389020
The thigh armor doesn't restrict too much. I have posted pics of these guys in seated positions before.
It is mostly that step of armor down their back/chest that restricts a real crunch.
>>5389134
Not trolling, got nothing against the predator itself it's just it was a drag to get to the good part where goes full CQC against Arnie. Watching just the climax would've been better in hindsight.
>>5389150
>it's just it was a drag to get to the good part where goes full CQC against Arnie.
Fucking millennials summed up right here. This is why movies like the expendables keep getting sequals.
>>5389150
> it's just it was a drag to get to the good part where goes full CQC against Arnie.
A long time ago, in the time before the ADHD generation needed every film to have an action shot in every frame or each they'd just start texting on their phones and ignore the movie, there was a thing called background and development. The film is building an feeling of mystery and suspense, and Dutch's squad realizes things aren't what they were told, and at the same time, they are establishing how skilled his squad is by showing us, and making us feel for the characters. Then, when the predator finally does show up and starts taking them out, we not only care about their deaths, but we also recognize how dangerous the predator really is, since we have context.
>>5389156
>muh millenials boogieman
>sequal
K buddy whatever you say.
>>5389166
why do people asume I'm some underage with attention ssues? I've watched and enjoyed older stuff like '54 Goji and had no issues because there wasa plot to follow, it wasn't just about the monster. Here it was just about joes shooting shit up, then dying, then fighting the monster, fin. It's ok to enjoy these kind of shallow films too I guess but I expected something more along the lines of Alien or Terminator, those are more deserving of the reputation
>>5389192
>Predator doesn't have a plot
You have no idea what you are talking about. Predator is all about Man vs. Nature. It has a plot like Call of the Wild has a plot.
>>5389192
>why do people asume I'm some underage with attention ssues?
Uggghh, because that exactly how you sound?
>>5389042
Looking forwards to Series 15
These guys finally showed up. Which Batman compliments them best? I'm leaning towards Arkham.
>>5389439
Also, I just realized that the Predator in the flashback scene (One on the left in the group pic) has the same mask details as the Elder at the end of the movie. Nice little detail and its implications that I totally missed until now
Sorry dudes, I've been really out of the loop. I have not bought a predator since the wasp. Are they new and improved?
>>5389502
Wasp came out like, four waves ago. The AvP Preds have totally newly sculpted bodies with a lot more articulation, detail, and accessories.
It is definitely worth picking up at least one of them.
>>5389439
shit man, that half body armor
fuck i thought i would skip these
>>5389556
Which would you recommend? Post above said they come with different hands.. might have to get both masked ones then.
>>5389590
Chopper comes with closed fists so be aware that he won't be able to hold any accessories like the dagger or combistick.
He pretty good senpai
>>5389846
>tfw no Sally Hardesty action figure to chase around
>>5389590
>Which would you recommend?
That's kinda difficult, because this wave really does feel like a complete "set" rather than just three different figures lumped together for a wave, because so many weapons, accessories, and parts are meant to be swapped between the three.
I think my personal favorite might be Scar, though. I just absolutely love the head sculpt. It is, by far, the best unmasked Predator head they've done. And this is coming from a guy who generally like the masked heads more than the unmasked heads.
He is probably going to be the AvP Pred that stands out most in these two waves, just because of that.
Celtic is a fan favorite, mostly because of the coolest looking mask of the three I think. Also, for the figure, he's the only one in this wave that comes with the fully-extended combi spear.
Chopper comes with the most accessories, but sort of ends up being probably the bottom of the three as far as my preference goes. He's got tons of blades and trophies and shit, so that's a big plus for him.
As far as hands go, Chopper comes with both hands as fists (so if you get him, and him alone he won't even be able to hold half of his accessories.) Scar comes with an open right hand, and a grasping left hand, and Celtic comes with a grasping right hand and an open left hand. So between the three, you get a pair of fists, a pair of accessory holding hands, and a pair of open hands.
>>5389442
Those are completely different masks. Ancients looks more like Lord's mask from AvP2010.
>>5383027
thank you anon
I actually wanted my first to be oneof the neca aliens and I thought I'd set on a black warrior alien figure
this firenza looks great you posted
Are they going to announce any more HotS figures anytime soon or are they done with that license?
>>5389441
If you can't find the NECA Keaton Bats, one of the DC Collectibles Arkham Batmen might fit
>>5390456
Nah they gave up the license because you asked about it. Ya shouldn't have done that
I would love a sweaty Danny Glover cussing about birds on my shelf.
>>5390095
Look at the details on the side of the Ancient's mask, now compare it to the design of the mask of the Elder in >>5389442
It has the same carvings on it, just modified
Only thing the Lord's mask from the game has in common with the Avp movie Elder is the fact that the front part is cut out, Which I imagine was inspired by the movie itself.
I had to buy a second Stitches figure because my other one's foot broke, but I'm noticing all kinds of differences between the two in terms of paint jobs.
The new one has a better overall coat, but his spine has too much orange in it.
It's bugging me. The new one is on the left and the broken one is on the right.
>>5389900
Welp... looks like I will have to buy all three then. And I thought I was free of predators. How are the new ones next to a marvel legends or figma/figuarts?
>>5390534
its Neca quality and good for the price, stop trolling silly anon
>>5390559
I'm kind of surprised the first comment wasn't the shitty photo quality or my dirty wrist rest.
Just got my AvP preds. Celtic and Chopper both have tubes coming off their mask that aren't connected to anything. Am I supposed to plug these in somewhere, or did mine both come broken?
>>5390587
They plug into the backpacks. Just under the little "plate" underneath the plasmacaster.
>>5390548
I don't have a pic of the old + new predators for comparison, but I've seen someone post here that the AvP preds are slightly taller than the older ones like City Hunter or Big Red.
Neca kinda has their own scale which is just slightly too big to go with Figma/Figuarts/Marvel Legends figures. It won't look horrible, but you can tell that they're not really in the same scale.
Pic related is Falconer and Mafex Batman.
>>5390548
>>5390623
The new Predators are tall as fuck, even compared to the old Predator bodies. The Jungle Hunter body is slightly over 8". The AvP body is closer to 8.5".
>>5390503 I can live with that but as long as he is in scale with Arnold I can live with that.
Got my new AvP preds.
Can't say anything but good things. Putting them next to Jungle Hunter sculpts shows just how amazing these are. The new details and paint apps are really next level over what previous Predator waves. And the amount of accessories is fucking awesome. Everyone comes with shoulder canons, knives, combi sticks, throwing discs, and Chopper even has 3 sets of wrist blades.
Still waiting on "Six". Come on, Neca.
>>5389150
>current year
>thinking Predator is a bad film
>>5390510
I've asked them that countless times. Predator 2 is my favorite in the franchise and I'd love a Glover figure.
>>5391004
If not a rights issue, then a "too boring" issue.
Personally Id like to see Gary Busey.
>>5391201
A Predator Glover could get reused for a Lethal Weapon one and I'd buy it twice. It seems like a solid license to go after. Time for a Mel Gibson come back.
>>5390534
Did you order the first stitches off of NECA"s ebay? cause i did when they were available and it felt very "hand packed". some of the twist ties were very loose, the tape had a lot of leeway on it.
I have a feeling there were 2 waves, a rushed wave for Blizzcon and the retail wave.
>>5391201
For me, the lack of humans makes the predator line boring. Not having any more of Dutch's squad at this point is almost criminal.
>>5391498
Most of the guys just haven't agreed to giving up their likenesses.
To be honest, I think the only ones they really pursued were Dillion and Mac. Jessie Ventura is a colossal faggot in real life, so he probably wouldn't agree anyway, but they just don't really see a market to the others.
They could have done a Weyland from AvP since they already have Lance Hendrickson's likeness and already did Bishop in the Aliens line. If they didn't think he would sell, they could just throw a bunch of extra accessories in, or pack him with an egg and Facehugger again or something.
>>5391407
No, I bought it off of Blizzard's Gear store along with Tyrael and Arthas.
>>5391622
Windrix was originally going to be Frost but that actor wanted too much.
Is it just me or do the faces for the Ellen Ripley figures look like utter shit?
>>5391923
What? Likeness is amazing bro.
>>5392152
Ill agree that Alien Ripley looks great.
Aliens? Not so much.

Paint app was pretty poor. I posted side by side shots of her and Dutch when I first got her and noted the difference in paint quality (Dutch was fucking great). Some retard spazzed out on me and ended up getting my post deleted and I got a 24 hour ban.
Anyone know the AvP xenos will be able to crawl? The only Xeno I have right now that can effectively crawl is the dog alien. Chap and the warriors look silly, and can't tilt their head back enough to not look at the ground while they crawl

The ridge is the same. But the front part of the mask is cut out like you said, and the mask is more bronze colored. They aren't the same mask.
Still nothing new from NECA in Newcastle, lads. Asked the shopkeeps if they have any inkling of when the new shit arrives and they have no idea as not even the supplier knows, apparently.
you know NECA's distribution is fucked when you can find new Japanese figures in stores before months old NECA figures.

>Arkham Knight
>Commander Cody
>Mcdonalds
Not a bad haul. I prefer Revoltech's Stormtroopers though :^)
I am very disappointed with how long we've had to wait for new Neca stuff to reach us. I could forgive the wait for Predators wave 14 if we weren't still waiting for Aliens wave 6, it's past the point of ridiculous now. Randy needs to crack the whip on whoever's in charge of distributing his stuff in the UK.

I was tempted to buy the new Arkham Knight Catwoman and Scarecrow, along with the Harley. But I decided against it. Maybe next time.
I only have the Black Series troopers for cannon fodder, desu lad.
Archer is best figure tho
I found the AVP predators at asemi local TRU yesterday. Bought all 3. I do believe they are the best figures I own.

>I was tempted to buy the new Arkham Knight Catwoman
Ehh I wouldn't bother, she looks shit in my opinion. The face sculpt is really mushy and weird looking, which is a shame because the Harley figure from the Arkham Knight line is probably the best of the bunch.

Could be it, Amanda looks a lot better, it might be the eyes, think she's got shadows painted on and Ellen's skin is all one solid color cept the lips and her eyebrows are a little too high. Can't find any decent pics of Amanda that aren't from NECA to show it.
Her eyes were way closer to likeness in the promo shots.
I finally got my Stitches
And i must say, when it was announced, I Was really concern with the price tag, i said "$45? for just one character which is said to be 6.5"? that is over price"
but luckly it end up alot bigger than i was expecting, i was scary that the figure was going to look to small to fit the rest of the line, but it still big.
So I guess the price is Fine, specially because it have tons of well place paint, and it have really big and really painted and detail accesories. So it kind of justify it, I just hope they dont do that to often, and they keep the quality of this Blizzard line.

Such is life when trying to get figures of QT's.
I bought one of the AvP figures today, go to turn the upper torso when I hear an audible tear. His belt/harness part basically ripped off, the thigh armor came unglued and I feel like I'll need to super glue it to hold it together.
>>5394086
You...broke it then. Nice job. You pushed the plastic further than it was meant to go and tore the strap, and if you really think these figures need super glue to be held together, well, I think you're bullshitting and probably haven't even held these figures in your hand.
>Do an Isolation wave
>Don't include a working Joe
Only NECA could be this incompetent
>>5394794
Wave 6 is a repaint/retool wave, we might see Working Joe's in future.
