I'm really starting to like this trend of my pictures being used for op images.
>>5368729
Nice pictures get nice attention.
Box is very cool, shame the other side got wrecked during shipment. Also he's fucking huge, way bigger than I thought he would be which is nice.
Very heavy as well, made me think he was made of diecast metal or something.
I haven't gotten a revoltech in over 5 years but this quality blows every other one I have out of the water. 10/10 would buy again.
I picked up my Ultron from Post Office.
I see what people mean by the hip joints being weird.
Funny thing is, it actually behave much like the old school cut joints hips seen in old Revos such as the older Evas, Patlabor, etc.
The peg on the thigh ends are angled inwards, and the hip ends are diagonally pointed towards the spine. the joints are not quite designed to be pulled out so it's hard to increase the range of motion with that trick. So far the only problem I see is moving the legs straight forward. He can only sit with the legs spread out.
Oh and the elbow joints are the exact same joints used in Minis. The one used for the torso. So no ratchets.
>>5370364
Also, now I think they should've made Sci-Fi Revoltech T-800 Endoskeleton back in the day.
>>5370364
I feel you on the hips, but I'm minding them much less than I thought I would. If you want him to be able to sit/have better forward kicks, you can just swap the thighs. He ends up a little knock knee'd when standing straight up so I usually leave them on normally, but it's useful if you want to do a particular pose.
>>5370369
Ahhh, cool. Thanks that works pretty well.
He is probably too big for the Iron Throne I have anyways...
Does the horse have an articulated mouth or does he come with 2 heads?
>>5370728
Articulated mouth, ears, eyes, and top part of mane. Just the one head.
Someone ask for an Ultron pic dump?

>>5371202
Man, where was this Ultron in the movie.
>>5368729
It's a great photo, soldier. Keep up the good work.
>>5371258
What, you don't like goofy, snarky Ultron that only killed one insignificant character in the entire film?
I bought some bootleg throne for my ultron. I hope it arrives soon.
>>5372236
>Ultron here
>Representing peace 'n' shit
>Your stupid Avengers' asses
>About to be hit
>>5372247
Have fun getting him to sit in it. The legs cannot go straight forward without swapping the thighs
>>5372236
Nice pose, but was the stand necessary? Is he top heavy?
>>5372270
Not necessary for that pose, just extra stability. The toe joints can sometimes give and he'll topple forward.
>>5372276
Looking closer at them, I really wish his feet were just straight up flat. The molding looks ok and all but he's really unstable unstable for it.
>>5372302
They can provide some cool looking poses, just gotta take the time to balance him.
>>5372268
W-well then. I've had him for about a week and never thought about that even though I knew he couldn't. Guess I just really liked the idea.
Anyone have any figure ideas that would fit in a golden throne surrounded by lewd figures?
>>5372317
Ah, I didn't mean the actual toe joints, those are fine. The main part foot is molded like a real foot with a ball and arches and shit, and they kind of suffer.
I've always loved reading the comics and watching the cartoon as a kid, but I just realized I don't have a decent Spider-Man figure yet.
How's the Revoltech? I thought of getting the Mafex, but I don't like the scale, and the figma picked a design of the suit I don't like.
>>5372334
That's an issue that so many figures have these days. Wouldn't be so bad if they had peg holes though.
>>5372319
Thouzer.
>>5372344
Just wait for new spiderman figures that will eventually come with the new movie. Everything out right now have flaws
>>5372344
He's okay. He is not as poseable as you would think, and I don't like the eye design of that suit, but the body sculpt is great. Like it looks like an actual person in a costume. Ad I guess you already know but he is a tad small, which is okay for Spidey I suppose.
>>5372349
Yeah it's weird he didn't do that and throw in the effect foot stand almost every Yamaguchi Revo had for the last few years. But it seems the goal was to not have any eye-catching holes on him, and it was not needed due to the new stand.
>>5372349
>Wouldn't be so bad if they had peg holes though.
This. I'm really close to buying a properly sized drillbit and putting a peghole in the heel myself.
>>5372356
There's a new movie coming out? I had no idea. If that's the case, yeah I think you're right, I should wait.
>>5372360
I'm not a fan of the eyes myself, but I figured he'd be the most "normal" looking, articulated Spidey I can get besides the Mafex.
Thanks for the info, anons. I think I'll wait it out, unless I find it for a cheap price.
>>5372344
he's fine, but if you do get him try not to leave his legs in any crazy potions too long or his diaper will warp.
how soon till venom again?
>>5372397
No official date yet. It will likely be somewhere on 1/25-30 week

No, he is going to be in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. Meant to be a big deal as Marvel sorted something out with Fox to feature him.
They cast some kid though.
>>5373122
There's a new spiderman movie coming out as well, he is just going to appear in civil war first.
>>5373122
There is a new movie coming too, like next year?
The one in Civil War sounds like will be wearing a "homemade" suit so I don't think we will see figures of him, except for maybe Hot Toys stuff.
>>5373122
>Fox
It's Sony and you know that.
Started a thread the other day asking about the Takeya Jizai Okimono skelly set, rust vs bone color scheme.
Several anons were kind enough to reply and repost pics. Today the girlfriend took me to the toy store and asked me to pick out a toy I wanted. I do honestly want the bone ver but I didn't want to be difficult and was super happy she was doing this as a surprise for me, so I picked out the one with the best wash. There was also a shf renewal Black for $80 but I didn't feel like paying for scalp prices on a $30 toy.
I have to say having a four armed, two headed oni skeleton is pretty damned fucking awesome. The joints for the lower limbs do need some adjustments to make them hold the pose better, but the sculpt and just how fun this toy is really made it one of my fav purchases this year.
Takeya really makes some seriously cool toy a lot of people are sleeping on. The base really brings it to another level too, this sitting alongside the other Takeya revoltechs do make them feel like museum pieces.
Does anyone have Vash the Stampede? How decent is the figure and how much is it worth?
>>5373968
The horse is my first one but the quality really makes me want to go and pick up the others. Really excited to see what comes next.
>>5374089
pretty funtastic, for an older revo. I'd like to see what yamaguchi could do now revisiting some of his older scuplts.
>>5374089
I love my Vash
Badlands Rumble Ver.
>>5373118
Appreciate the pics anon, fucking A.
>>5374417
What's that head from?
>>5374089

I feel like this could have been shot from a slightly better angle to lessen the visual confusion of the silhouettes, but those are some really great poses. You can really feel the momentum and followthrough of the kick and Ultron's head snapping back.
>>5375207
>>5375207
What Stormtrooper is that? Looks pretty well articulated.
>>5375213
Definitely, but I had spent so long on that shot, and just wanted to get it over with.

SH Figuarts First Order Stormtrooper. Highly recommended.

End. Got so worn out by this point, will continue the battle some other time.
>>5375223
Any chance to see him next to a few other figures in normal stances, he looks big but I wanted to get a good idea of his overall size.
>>5375235
Here he is next to some ML figures. Let me know what else you'd like to see.
>>5375223
Great work, m8. Given me some ideas for photos of my own so thanks, anon.
>>5375246
Thanks, definitely going to incorporate the effect part in there.
>>5375243
Damn very nice. So he's about 6 1/2" tall, pretty nice size. How about some Figuarts/Figmas next?
>>5375263
It just came to me, a Yamaguchi Revoltech Hellboy would've been so awesome. It's right up Yamaguchi's taste in characters too. Too bad Hellboy is no where near recognition in Japan.
>>5375223
This is a magnificent shot. Your posing game is unreal, anon.
>>5375273
Fuck. Thanks a ton man, that really gives me a good sense of his size.
My skelly came in and I love him. Please accept a picture.
And perhaps another.

Is it supposed to look like this? None of the pictures do. If so fuck this toy.
Tried forcing it a little but it wont budge, and don't want to break it. Does anyone here even own this toy?
>>5377764
maybe try reading the directions? Isn't there an option part that goes there.
>>5377764
The torso joint is clicked forward dummy.
Just move it back. Or the joint might be twisted so pull it out to the right direction.
>>5377764
Oh, the normal horse is out? Or is that some metal statue variant?
...does it have a butthole?
>>5378168
Nope, took it apart and reassembled it. It really just looks like that. Kill me.
Anyone else with Ultron, are the legs on yours even? The right hip peg doesn't go into the socket in the thigh all the way, so it ends up slightly longer than the left leg. I'm not sure how to make the hole deeper without risking making it wider accidentally and thus looser.
>>5378204
I don't understand. Is the joint stuck in one position?
>>5378218
Heat the peg hole, and force the peg in. It should stay tight enough. I assume the hole is actually deep enough, just too tight.
>>5375277
Hellboy appears several times in magazines that promote illustrators and comics. Terada one of the most beloved illustrators there did one of the best fanart of it, which got produced into a statue by Dark Horse. Nirasawa, also another highly esteemed artist, was invited along with Terada by Del Toro to work on the first Hellboy designs for the movie.
Hellboy is well known amongst this circle of creators. I met Trigun's artist, who is a frequent collaborator on Revoltech and Assemble Borg at comic con and he knows Mignola himself. Mignola himself is a fan of Terada and Takeya... so I think if they were ever mutually interested, I doubt there'll be much hesitance.
>>5378501
That's pretty cool. I meant the general public, and so Kaiyodo might not make it for fear of lack of sale......but that never seem to stop them before lol. To a degree.
Oh and I'm well aware Nightow loves Hellboy, I read Blood Blockade Battlefront.
>>5378260
No, it just looks like shit compared to the pictures. Massive gaps.
>>5378642
yeah, that is really what keeps revoltech sneaking back into my buying habits. I last said, I'll stop and focus on hunting down the rest of Takeya figures that I haven't secured yet... then they announce a full line of Takeya Buddhist revoltechs, going as far as even having "unpainted" and "original" colors of those statues. I really have to give it to them, no one else, not even Bandai would have gone for that. They're dedicating resources to producing "themes" that other companies would only dare take on as gashapons.
I'm waiting for a Takeya revoltech of Terada's Monkey King.
>>5378766
Oh you mean when you put the torso in that position? It can go up, where the gap gets closed. So you're complaining on action figure that gets gaps when you move them in a certain way? That's almost every Japanese figures.
>>5378786
Yeah that statue was awesome. I can see them going more into Yokai territory with Revo, with the passing of Shigeru Mizuki and that Level5 game being everywhere. Like the CEO goes all "this is the real stuff!" I want a Nue. Or full cast of Kitaro's gang.
They do tend to do something new, then stop when other companies copies them.
I said it before, but Zetman is a really cool Revoltech if you don't have it yet.
Do you guys think they're going to make a First Order trooper?
>>5378818
Not this time. Maybe for Ep 8?
>>5378788
No, I means there is ALWAYS s giant gap no matter what position its in. In every picture it fits snug, but here it seems way bigger and floats ontop. Almost seems like the lower half of the body was scaled down.
>>5378827
Hm. Well either the joint is not all the way in, or the part that covers it is warped. It is a softer, thinner piece afterall. You can heat it up with a hair dryer and squeeze it closer together.
>>5378802
Takeya had already done several yokai gashapons for Kaiyodo and they were excellent. Of course, since you seem to be a fan of the line itself, sure you already noticed the Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro revos he did for Kaiyodo too. I'm still waiting to see if he'll finish all 28 guardians of Kannon, as he had started with Garuda, Raijin and Fujin, he had already completed drawing the designs, as shown in his artbook... but I'm unsure if Kaiyodo will continue the Takeya Buddhist line. I'm happy I finally have poseable Agyo and Ungyo though, more so that it's by Takeya.
>>5379088
Yup. I don't have the gashapon yokai (and box figures?) but I've seen them at a Kaiyodo exhibit. Have the Kitaro Revos too. Grew up on the anime in the 90s. CEO was being so proud on live stream how Kaiyodo have already done several Kitaro stuff before Mizuki passed away, and made fun of other companies tweeting "we were great fans of his work" but didn't make product.
Yeah I think they are done with Buddha statue Revoltech. Like anything else, once art statue figma started they retreated. Even though it's not that similar... I guess the subject and the price point were no longer ideal so they went with more popular creatures. It was hinted the latest ones will be a knight and possibly a samurai (Sanada) for the horses, so at least we're back to humanoids.
Time to get some Assemble Borgs I think
>>5379333
I think sales weren't very good, despite the products being excellent and unique (or rather maybe because it's unique...). It really was a childhood dream of mine to have posable figures of those deities, even more, sculpted by Takeya. I hope they really get around to finishing it.
Getting some pretty noticeable paint chipping on Ultron's feet. Haven't noticed anything on any other part of the figure though. I guess I have been putting him through the ringer with all those battle photos I've been doing, but I'm still a little worried that it'll get more frequent later on.
Will old licenses ever be used again?
>>5380685
Other than for re-releases? Doubtful.
Hmmm. I feel like I should have bought Ultron instead of the Horse...
Venom lookin good. Can't wait
>>5381171
You gotta admit, it looks better than the promo shots.
>>5381175
I mean, yeah, but it's still waaaay off. Yamaguchi can do accurate faces too, just never for snake. It's kinda weird at this point.
>>5381139
why not both? I did.
>>5381169
What I would kill for a full sized Gray Fox revo now seeing how crazy articulated Ultron and Snake is.
>>5381368
Throw in MGS1 Snake as well. I'd kill for full size versions
>>5381169
So has anyone figured out what the hell's going on with Snake's hips? They look crazy well articulated, but whatever joint is in there is extremely well hidden in nearly every photo
>>5381385
rumor is the revol mini type ball joint hips just at a larger size.
>>5381368
the expressions here coupled with the posing is great, nice pic
>>5377764
This really is unacceptable if it is always gapped like that in every position.
>>5381802
I dont think mine does. I'll have to check later. If so, I'm sending it back.
>>5381813
Looks better than mine judging from that picture. Who do I contact to send it back?
>>5381825
I got mine through AmiAmi, and they have a return policy that allows defects to be returned. I'm not sure if the return is for a replacement, store credit or cash though.
>>5381802
I won't have my horse til after venom drops so a few weeks from now but I'll let you know.
>>5381902
Amiami is notorious for being garbage with returns.
>>5381825
Did you try reshaping the cover piece with heating? Or made sure the joints are all the way in?
>>5382411
Of course, tried a ton of different things the past few days. Something is just completely off about that piece. Feel like i can't return it anyway now though because i've tampered with it too much.
>>5382428
Weird. Maybe it's glued at the wrong position to the core inner piece.
Just snagged a first anime Lupin from Manda for 4000 Yen to go with a Jigen I recently ordered.
Condition was stated as the box being opened by the manufacturer for inspection, but was retaped.
Anyone ever buy something listed like that? I figured I'd take a chance with it rather than spend like $80 for one elsewhere.
>>5381171
that's because it's not BB
>>5382661
He still looks the same(minus scars and horn), that's the point of a decoy.
>>5382617
Yeah it's nothing to worry about. A couple of my Manda orders have tape on it but the figure and box is in fine shape. It's just an extra detail.
I've been eyeing him but I'm not sure how older Revo's with the cut joints hold up.
>>5374089
Still really good and it actually holds up pretty well especially considering it's an older Revoltech. Just took him out recently myself and he's definitely stood the test of time. Also, considering Vash's actual height in-universe, he's actually in scale with Figma and Figuarts so there's also that.
Got in this guy today.
I was a little nervous posing him but after a while this skeleton impressed me. Though the instructions detailing all those crazy combinations is tempting me to get more of these guys in.
>>5384614
And a shot with Tigrex.
I'm still on the fence on getting the Iron version but this version has some really nice paintwork.
>>5368699
how do i fix?
>>5381188
Snake and Commander Shepard are two characters that should be easy to pull off but always get fucked up. It's like a curse.
Just look at Figma.
That said, I think it looks good enough.
>>5383325
>Revoltech Inheritance
So are they fully transitioning the name of Revoltech to Vulcanlog or is it just more of a "We're partners now" thing?
>>5385029
Not really. Kaiyodo still has a few Revoltech brands they seem to keep making more of. Think of it more as, the random properties they use to make will more likely go to VulcanLog. And I think Yamaguch is putting in the articulation into most of them.
Inheritance does suggest the source is dead, but the Japanese never quite grasp the English language. I'm pretty sure they translated the word 継承, which means more like to carry on, succeed.
VulcanLog Snake is 1/15 release according to Amazon Japan. Yay
>>5385029
And UC has been partners for a long time, they were the distributor. It's more like they took over the control and responsibility of what they are distributing.
>>5385262
it seems they pushed kaiyodo into backing properties that sell well and work for them like monster hunter and any mechs

>>5385470
He can't physically throw up in his mouth but it seems he is physically capable of something else...
Goshogun is up for preorder.
>>5386008
森口あらん Aran Moriguchi [studio XELFLEX] is the sculptor, if anyone cares.
I see nothing to indicate the high price, besides low demand/low production number...?
>>5386021
>indicate the high price
Hold on, materials used looks interesting...
ABS、PVC、Nylon、POM
All Revo/VL past have been only ABS and PVC, right?
>>5386031
I highly doubt it. They should be all buddy buddy with each other. UC distributes Sentinel stuff just like Kaiyodo's.
>>5386021
This looks about the same quality as my revo getter robo figures and they were like 2000 yen
Please don't support this
>>5386027
Revoltech joints are POM.
>>5386021
Let's see, 3 different weapons, effect parts and is partly from sentinel so they have to raise the price just on sentinel's name alone. I mean I looks nice but I'm not familiar with the character and the price is a huge turn off to even thinking about ordering, maybe this discourage Union creative having Sentinel do collaborations with revoltech again.
>>5386082
Oh okay, I thought it was ABS. I don't know polymers.
Anyways my guess is they are trying to make it higher quality? Seems unnecessary though.
Guys, I really don't think the Sentinel name alone raise prices. Sentinel stuff are expensive because they are higher quality and have like 5000 parts, use diecast, limited run, etc. Like if that's the case and you are getting just a Revoltech that looks like Yamaguchi made it, they would just let Yamaguchi make it and sell for the normal price.
>>5368699
just got my jizzy okimono horse. I'm always prepared for quality issues, but my horse is missing an entire fucking ear. what amateur shit is this? and who do i need to contact to get a replacement?
>>5386230
You sure it's not in the box somewhere? They fall out of his head easily.
>>5386253
no, the ear was never fucking there
>>5386335
E-mail whatever online retailer you got it from, they should send replacement ear.
>>5386075
I'm sorry anon it's too late
I haven't even watched Goshogun. I'm honestly not sure what I was thinking but this is really bad for my money
>>5386075
>>5386128
Sorry, he looks too cool to pass up. I'm sure he will go on sale later but I don't mind supporting a line that I want more of, aka Vulcanlog.
It's just $63 on AmiAmi, that's like, an hour of work. I'm okay with this.
>>5386453
>that's like, an hour of work
Can i have your job
>>5385257
Have these been accurate in the past?
>>5386027
There's absolutely nothing expensive in it.
The GN-U Dou Goshogun had a fully articulated POM skeleton under its armor and that one was only 3000Yen.
>>5368699
based amiami sending me a replacement part
>>5382779
You should get him dude. I own both lupin and jigen, and the only problem is with one of jigens arms pops off the peg at the cut joint, which makes posing a bit of a pain, but my gf bought me him used, sp I'm sire its an isolated incident. My lupin however is a total blast, the joints are a little different than what I'm used to but it works well with his design.
You can just look up a review if you want
an idea on how the joints work.
>>5388088
Nice. Do you have the first anime, or second anime Lupin? Not that guy, but I'm torn between the two.
>>5384812
If the joint comes apart in the middle, put tissue inbetween it, clasp them back together, then tear out any tissue that juts out. This is more of a stopgap measure.
If you want better results, look for a transparent nail polish, coat the middle part of the joint, put it back together, then move it around as it dry a bit.
People suggest super glue, the catch being that, you have to instantly keep moving it until the glue settles and hardens, so that the material build up to provide extra friction is there, but the super glue itself doesn't bind the joint together but I've never dared try it, since the joints used for the skeletons are uniquely colored.
I personally have never tightened the joints on mine, just am more conscious with balancing its lower spine and hip.
that aside, I love the rust edition... I ended up getting it because I can't find any of the bone colored ones in physical stores. The texture and wash on this is a lot more convincing than the Kirin in some ways.
I found the tweet by the sculptor of Goshogun explaining the high price.
https://twitter.com/AlanMoriguchi/status/684965608862040064
Basically, it's because of the higher number of paints and it has twice the number of parts than your typical Robot Revo. Along with the usual higher material cost, exchange rate, etc...
Mmm...I bet Yamaguchi could've done it with the normal amount of parts. I hope this becomes a lesson for UC to not let something like this happen again.
Luckly Baikanfu has a simple colour scheme.
Also the alternate colour is based on this.
>>5389738
Probably should have a pic of what I'm talking about.
>>5389742
Doesn't look too different from the usual Yamaguchi sculpted bots. Gonna wait and see if someone will post in-hand pics though.
>>5391757
The guy is a fan of Yamaguchi. He made the Riobot Detonator Orgun and some of those crazy looking expensive Getters.
Just ordered 2 MP Evas from Mandarake, my first time buying something there too
My other MP needs company. Desperately.
>>5392559
>Just ordered 2 MP Evas from Mandarake, my first time buying something there too
I like the weight of this figure compared to unit 02 from the newer eva movies; feels sturdier too
>>5379459
>>5381169
What are some of the best Revoltech figures out there?
Never bought one but I'd like to give my collection some more variety in toy brands.
Should be in the game.

Made this so might as well post it again and again...
Feel free to ask name of specific ones that interest you. They should all be easy to find and buy.

Part 2 of 2
For RevolMini they are all pretty much the same for structure so any of them are fine. Same for the Evas or MuvLuv mechs.
Should add Ultron and the soon to come out Venom Snake to this. Well I assume VulcanLog Snake will be awesome.

Late ass reply, sorry :|
I have the old anime version and I love him. I would like to eventually get the red coat version but you can't go wrong with either one
Although I heard the red coat has sillier faces
>>5394364
did you lose his clip?
>>5394474
That is true.
>>5394474
I find the knee joints on these a little too fragile.
>>5394484
Ooops, it was still in the box.
anyone know what size revoltech joints the second set of arms(red) uses?
>>5395208
the shoulders are the 4 mm, same one for the pylons. Not ideal but works as lons as there is some other contact with the main arms.

Where to get it now?
>>5396207
Go beyond AmiAmi
https://www.hlj.com/product/KYD13101/Sci
He's in stock here.
>>5396215
Wierd, searched for "Ultron" there, but it didn't show up for me. Thanks anyway.
GoShogun up for anyone who wants him.

What's the best way to tell if something (specifically a Stormtrooper) is a knock off?
>>5398595
If it's a traitor. :p
>>5398595
Avoid any sellers on Ebay who sell from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
There's 3 Stormies on Mandarake right now for 3500 yen each.
Oh....release date changed to 1/23.
>>5378501
>i met trigun´s artist
damn, i´m jelly, he´s on my need to meet list along with mignola and dario argento
he's fucking here finally!
Loving the figure, excuse the phone pic
>>5399412
A couple of retarded design choices aside, I'm liking him more and more as time goes on. Really glad I skipped the legends at this point.
>>5399437
thank fuck i skipped the legends and figuarts one, revo ultron looks even more imposing than his onscreen appearance though i wonder what's up with the decision to make his arms like that
>>5399457
>the decision to make his arms like that
you mean the double revo joints? It allows him to reach all the way across his chest and behind his head. the rotation is a bit stiff though and they're pretty weak joints so be careful not to break them
>>5399457
I actually really like the his arms are set up. The shoulders are fairly un-frustrating considering how that double revol joint usually ends up, and the elbows are downright great. I don't miss ratcheting in them at all.
>>5399472
Heat up the whole shoulder area with everything attached. It will loosen up the hold on the revo joints and make the articulation smoother.
>>5399496
I am a little surprised Yamaguchi changed his usual setup and made the peg to the upper arm perpendicular rather than diagonal or parallel. Like almost everything else he has made in the past. You cannot rotate the upper arm like you used to be able to. It works fine, just a little counter intuitive when you are use to past Yamaguchi Revos.
>>5399337
Yes.
>>5399525
>perpendicular rather than diagonal or parallel
That's one of the things I REALLY like, actually. I couldn't stand how raiden etc would hit themselves in the face trying to raise their arms.
>>5389889
Then you should probably get the figma david as well if you catch my drift.
mine came today, his articulations takes some time getting use to but goddamn he looks great
>>5400075
will there ever be final ultron and ultron drones revo?
>>5400094
love the face and the overall bulkiness
>>5400107
>>5400094
I really want an Iron Legion figure, don't care who makes him, look how commercial it is!
>>5400143
i rather have the rocket face drone
>>5401065
Yeah im in the same boat. Completely turns me off of the figure.
>>5400539
thanks!
>>5401065
movie was just ok for me, but i like creepy human looking ultron and it's not often you get good western villain toys
i remember seeing some pics of ultron with assemble borg pieces and damn, i'm tempted to get them just to arm ultron with
>>5402022
Probably talking about these. This guy does cool Revoltech pics.

>>5402022

Yamaguchi himself?
>>5402022
Yamaguchi did this too
>>5402414
>>5402107
>>5402458
Do you think Ultron will be as good as Raiden?
>>5404492
He already is.
>>5404492
Ultron is slightly less poseable at the shoulders and hips compared to Raiden, but still a great figure.
>>5370349
Get Ultron and post it on the horse
I want more getter revoltechs
Why don't japs love getter anymore?
>>5404492
both looks great but ultron is slightly less posable and comes with less stuff
>>5406426
Because Ishikawa died? Nagai not really into it anymore? The story got too convoluted? (Go is a masterpiece)
Linebarrel guys are doing a new Getter, and Sentinel is sorda keeping the lights on the franchise. I think it's doing okay.
I want Legacy of all the Revo Getters though. I want more Renewal Getter 1, Go and Arc.
>>5382617
Got my Lupin and Jigen today. Looking forward to opening them and messing with them soon.
Jigen was labeled Item/A Box/B from Amiami, while Lupin was labeled as unopened/box damaged from Manda, but they seem to be unopened, and I don't see any sort of damage to either of their boxes.
>>5409219
>while Lupin was labeled as unopened
Meant opened, my bad.
>>5406601
Kinda off topic but since we're talking Getter, Studio HalfEye just showed off some pictures of their new Simple Change Getter 1. Looks pretty neat.
>>5409219
Got around to opening up Jigen. He's much lighter in weight than I thought he'd be, but damn I really like him.
I wish he came with a Revolcontainer since he has a bunch of small parts, but I guess the Legacy of Revoltech one doesn't have one.
I really love Yamaguchi's style. I know the Revoltech brand has changed lately (Vulcanlog, pure Legacy of Revoltech releases, no revolminis in sight, etc.),but I hope he never stops sculpting.
>>5411751
I'm new to revoltech. What's Vulcanlog?
>>5409783
>Toei proportions
>Will without any doubt be more than 200$
Why
>>5373968
The Takeya Buddhist Statue figures are severely underrated
>>5411898
Kaiyodo makes Revoltechsn and Union Creative and Kenelephant distributes them. Union Creative now has full control of what figures they will release, and those are called VulcanLog now. They still use Revolver Joints, and they all seem to have Yamaguchi manage the articulation aspect of them. UC also gets other companies they distribute for get involved, like Sentinel, in making different VulcanLog.
Stuff that Kenelphant distributes are still called Revoltechs (Takeya, MOVIE, Character, etc.).
>tfw starting to notice bubbles on my Neo Getter's right horn
>tfw I think they might be increasing in number and size
This fucking sucks. Neo Getter is my favorite robots and this is the only toy of him I could afford
>>5399437
>>5414710
Neo Getter is still the cheapest one you can get I think. Just get another one if you like it so much.
>>5414790
Cheapest Revo Getter I mean, after New 123 maybe.
>>5394234
Nigga on the left looks like he's kicking with a stump.
Anyone got any pics of Raiden with the Tamashii Thunder effects?
>>5415432
I only have a junker raiden I got for parts, but here. There's a ton of places to actually attach the clip-on pieces to, I'm just really sure what to do with the main christmas tree.
>>5415502
That looks fucking sick, thanks. Might pick it up now
>>5415502
Headless-Raiden-who-can-still-mow-down-cannon-fodder-left-and-right wouldn't be too out of place in the Metal Gear universe, come to think of it.
>>5411902
that looks like it's inspired on the old manga design, looking at the shoulders
>>5411971
yes, I'm with you anon. I'm amazed they've been making this many, I can see they get out of stock on all sites, but I wonder if they even stock many of these at all. I'm not complaining, I'm buying every single one. I just don't want them to ever stop.
>>5415537
Yeah, but I don't really like the puffed up chest on him.
>>5402458
So many possibilities...
>>5368699
>Skeleton Reissue when?
still no skelly bootlegs to buy by crates and make an army???
Finally a fucking Blue-Eyes
>>5419509
what?
>>5415988
I dig it personally. I'm excited to see what the Getmachines look like.
>>5419509
This better fucking be real
if MF shuts them down because of some bullshit exclusivity rights I swear to christ
>>5419509
What the fuck does it say?!
>>5419511
Movie versions of Yugi, Kaiba, Black Magician, and Blue-Eyes Alternative.
>>5419546
Don't you fucking get my hopes up like this, all 4?
>>5419546
Yup, that's what it says on the right for sure, but I'm not sure what the "/" is supposed to indicate. Are the monsters included with yugi and kaiba? If s they better not be gimped little statues or something.
>>5419568
tiny forms that hover over the cards most likely.
>>5419600
>>5419568
>Already have the figma on preorder
WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT
JUST PLAY OFF OF MF AND MAKE THE MONSTERS
>>5419509
Haven't played Yugioh in a long time but I would 10/10 want some of the monsters. Vulcanlog has hell prices for "good" figures, but it would still be cool to get.
>>5419617
That would be a good idea. Particularly for monsters they wouldn't do.
I'd be hardpressed if anybody working revoltech can do more competent anime likenesses than MF. MF already has Yami on PO and DMG planned. I can imagine if it takes off they can work up to vanilla Dark Magician, Kaiba, and Joey. Wouldn't know if they could do Kaiba and Joey's respective Dragons, but they have been slowly getting more and more into the bigger stuff. If they could, I imagine they would so they could give Kaiba and Joey monsters.Anything beyond is a bigger question since Max Factory does not tend to stick and be dedicated to IPs that aren't current and popular anime.
Monsters that aren't Yugi's, Kaiba's, or Joey's star monsters would be a good idea.
>Summoned Skull
>Celtic Guardian
>Gaia the Fierce Knight
>Curse of Dragon
>Black Luster Soldier
>Flame Swordsman
>Jinzo
Cards that may not even be suitable for action figures would be nice enough to get somehow. Like Time Wizard, Scape Goat, Pot of Greed, Skull and Graceful Dice.
>>5419943
Isn't flame swordsman his star card?
Maybe jinzo since it's ability is harder that diamonds!
Can't wait to see the possible effect parts for these figs.
>>5419953
Red Eyes is. It was the ultra rare in his Starter Deck, centerpiece to his deck once he got in Duelist Kingdom, and was made to give him an obvious contrast with richboy Kaiba. It is by far his most popular monster, meta game aside. Hence all that direct support it got to make it more useful that Blue Eyes is now just starting to get.
The other two are just staples with one being a meta game star.
>>5419953
JINZO WOULD BE AMAZING. When I opened him in that pack all that time ago I knew he'd become my signature monster. Doesn't hurt that he's amazing and cool.
>>5419509
Holy shit...
>>5419943
>Time Wizard
I fucking hope so, he is my nigga.
So I keep reading that Venom Snake hip joints are ball joints, so I think they are just straight up ball and socket joints. Like Mark 42 was. Looks like they are at a slight angle.
>>5422160
looks good, can't wait for it.
Got in Ultron. Thought I could take a chance with a few shots.
Also how does everyone feel about the new Revo bases? I'm still largely mixed about the claw being able to be taken apart since it can pop out of I wanted to re-adjust.
>>5423883
>>5423889
Ultron was a real surprise. He has a nice bulk to him and the only issue on mines is his right arm likes to pop out from the peg hole with part of his armor that comes with it.
>>5423883
As weird as it is to say, I sort of miss the old ones. Actual arm stands are ok, but there was something to be said for the old triangle ones. The new one's fine though, I just wish he had a back peg and not just the crotch one.
>>5423892
>Mine already broke.
Well, shit. I've barely used mine so far, but I thought they looked more durable than tamashii stands, which I've had that exact problem with before.
>>5423894
I had that problem with mine at first, but I've just been pushing it back into the socket whenever I rotate it and things have been good since. It's because of the floating armpit-sculpt piece, the peg only makes about half contact in the socket.
>payment request for venom snake
Hype.
>>5425082
>mfw
>>5425082
Give us lots of pics when you get him.
>>5425082
better be fucking amazing for 47 bucks.
>>5426797
Based on what's been shown off both in promotional images and from Yamaguchi himself, he could very well be better than Raiden.
>>5427031
Watch this still not be enough leg articulation for some.
>>5427079
It's amazing for action poses, but for more subtle stuff, it will probably yield some issues, just like Ultron. Have to wait till it's in hand to tell though.
>>5427136
>but for more subtle stuff, it will probably yield some issues, just like Ultron
While Ultron is definitely fiddly, I actually managed to squeeze out some pretty decent walking and standing poses for him (no sitting ones though). It's all in the small tilts in the thighs, knees, and feet.
>>5427079
Poses like those make me imagine if Kaiyodo or Yamaguchi tried tackling One Piece.
>>5427315
I'll take any 1/12 one piece that arent garbage.
>>5427136
>for more subtle stuff,
You know the hips are ball joints, right?
With new revo joints all around for the rest, I don't see any problems popping up for this one. Shoulders looks like traditional style, at least I don't see why he would change it like Ultron.
>>5427322
But....One Piece is garbage to start with.
>>5427327
I know, just seems that every time the legs go forward, they swing out very far, disallowing walking and sitting positions. Again, won't know till we have him in hand, just going by what we've seen in pics.
>>5427336
nah
>>5427343
Ah. I think the ball joints are on an upside-down Y shaped axis, and the thighs have cut joints, so I think he can do like a sitting pose with ease.
>>5427363
We'll see. Now to find a 1/12 scale helicopter
>>5399496
The shoulders are great because they actually match movie Ultron's shoulders should move unlike the Marvel Legends and (by the looks of it) the Figuarts. Also, it's great that he kept the entire bicep as one sculpt instead of a bicep cut since Ultron actually shifts his arms by the elbows while the entire bicep stays in place. That's aso something that not only the ML fucked up but even the Hot Toys made a mistake on. Yamaguchi seemed like a big enough fan of Ultron to really get those little details down for the figure.
http://nov.2chan.net/y/res/3470272.htm
>>5427600
I regret not buying it now, it actually looks better than the promo images
>>5427603
Still available at HLJ and slightly cheaper than AmiAmi.
>>5427600
It's time
Up next I guess.
>>5427600
Wow... that 1,000 yard stare. He must've seen some shit.
>>5427935
I'll probably have the same look after being a demon and having to kill my own men.
>>5427600
Still not seeing any pics of him kicking straight forward. I'm a little worried he's gonna be another ultron i-can-only-do-the-splits.
