They're out at some Toys R Us but the street date is Jan 1st supposedly.
>>
did lego lose the license already?
>>
I seriously can't tell; I see knees, but do they have elbows? I'd pick up the full team, but not if they're CoDZombie-tier gimped.

will this also be available on the day of 1, so that i may buy it at that time?
>>
>>5365417
The Nick Turtles lack elbows (and knees?), but their set of Classic cartoon TMNT have the full range.
>>
>>5365422
Thanks. Seems like a weird choice, but I can dig. >>5365421 for example is a Day 1 Buy.
>>
>>5365412
They lost it late last year. They were originally supposed to be in Dimensions, but then Nick moved the license to Mega.

I feel like Viacom just wants all of their properties under one roof, what with Spongebob already being there.
>>
>>5365426
so it really wasnt lego's decision to let go of tmnt?

good, they should just stick to same wars
>>
>>5365421
Wow, this looks a lot better than the Lego sets. Definite day 1 buy.
>>
>>5365421
Wow. I am surprised and impressed by this set. I haven't been much into TMNT since I was a kid, but I may cave on this line.

Here's how big Krang is.
I think the set is $35 retail.
>>

>>
>>5366719
Do they have Donnie and Raph versions of these?
>>
>>5366739
Yep, just came back from TRU and they had all four. Wouldn't sell me any though.
>>
>>5365422

I think they just lack elbows. Someone on the technodrome added elbows to Tigerclaw with parts from a halo figure? Also the single pack '88 turtles are like the figuarts and are based off the official art which is why they have the green shells. I think the Krang set and whatever set that comes out down the line will have something closer to the original toon.
>>
>>5366721
Huh. The Krang build scales pretty well with Playmates TMNT Basics and six-inchers.

Could you take comparison pics with the 6" Classic Turtles, or Bebop and Rocksteady?
>>
>>5366749
not my pic sadly.
>>
anyone mind middlemanning the classic turtles for me?
they'll never reach my country's shores so my only hope to obtain these are through ebay or online
>>
>>5366719
I'll definitely be getting the single release minifigs if possible. Id get the krang set but the no mikey thing kills it for me.
>>
>>5368338
Why not get the Krang set, and then buy the Mikey and Donnie singles? Full set of Turtles.
>>
>>5368805
Just depends. Probably should've phrased it better. IF it had mikey I'd have no issue buying the set cause I get my favorite turtle plus krang, but without mikey it makes me not as interested for the set in general especially when I can buy mikey and the rest by themselves. I know. Its stupid, but it's 35 for a set that doesn't have my favorite turtle as compared to whatever the single figures will be.
>>
Shit, the '88 turtles look great.
>>
>>5365400
I made a thread about a metroid haul I did at toys r us
I saw the blind bags, it was the perfect christmas gift, I had checked the codes and got them all, once I got to cash all fucking stoke as shit to have metroid and some new blind bags they said they couldnt sell it to me
i was a little sad, but new years, the day after im getting the fuck over there.
>>
>>5368914
If it's on the floor, they have to sell it. Next time get a manager.
>>
>>5368919
No They don't. Even managers can't. That could also be store by store policy also, but it doesn't happen everywhere if that's the case.
>>
>>5368914
>codes
Good. I fucking hate the lego dot codes. They're fucking hard to see especially when you're blowing $4 on a minifig.
>>
Got some of the army builders in tonight at my Wal-Mart, classic bebop and rocksteady look really good for the size, they almost have better paint aps than the damn playmates classics.

>>5368919
Bzzzt, they won't even ring up. At all.
>>
>>5368989
"There's a pack of Halo guys, same branding. 3 bucks a pop."

Then they just manually enter one for the same price. Get 1 or 2, don't be the dick who forces the cashier to input 20.
>>
>>5369006
Or just don't be the dick that holds up a line because you refuse to be told to wait for your toys.
>>
>>5369012
>holds up the line
>not going to customer service or going on a slow day
If you know you're going to be asking for something out of the ordinary, be extra courteous. Being patient is also a good thing, but I'm not going to advocate it simply because A) they're the ones who goofed, B) better that it sell instead of some Hot Wheels box slasher getting snatch-happy, C) just asking never hurts anyone.

If it doesn't work, just take the 'no' and come back when it's due out, and be happy that the staff at your particular TRU are willing to hold the line.
>>
Speaking of mega bloks, these terminator sets are cheap as shit and I'm thinking of picking one up just because it looks cool, anyone have one?

http://www.amazon.com/Mega-Bloks-CNG04-Spider-Tank/dp/B00UJGU73U
>>
>>5369019
Obviously the people in this thread didn't plan on seeing them. You can ask someone walking around, but fuck you if you hold up a line because you won't take no for an answer.
>>
>>5365421

Lego BTFO
>>
>>5369019
>they're the ones who goofed
Usually those above store managers are the ones that order for things to be put on the shelves. Its usually not the stores fault.
>>
>>5365421
>collector series metal
Wait what's metal in the set?
>>
>>5369023
And I'm saying 'if you want to go back for them now, here's a game plan'. I agree that there are bad customers out there who make the experience awful for everyone else by making demands that are illogical, against policy, or even illegal. And asking 'someone walking around' isn't going to help anyone, unless the person actually has the will to take the offending product off the floor.

Go to customer service instead, that's what they're there for, to provide information to you. Just keep in mind that they're dealing with a shit-ton of shady gift returns and are probably burnt out from it.

You're still using dot codes on the Lego minifigs? They started actually randomizing those back in the 3rd or 4th series from 2011. When it comes to CMFs, your best bet is to feel for specific pieces in order to identify the one you want.

I'm not an autist.
Ok, well I am.
But I don't want to cause trouble for anyone.
I'm very zen.
It was good for a preview though.

I know the codes already but I felt them all 'cause it's the whole romance of blind bags.
Feel before you see, anyways, bummer.

I felt like it was a tactic though, to show you something you can't buy so you come back after holidays because you saw something you liked. I noticed TMNT was selling hardcore like Star Wars.
>>5368937
Agreed,
MB does it nice.

Ugh. Use uncommon for one label. 3 different "rare"s?

Too bad Kraang doesn't have the knee articulation.
>>
>>5369541
See I didn't know they randomized them. I have been using the feeling technique, but it's not always successful. Especially when I try to get the simpsons ones.

If I understand correctly then, these can't be bought till tomorrow at the earliest?
>>
>>5370085
well my local TRU was selling them as of Christmas eve. That's when I bought a bunch of them. They were making a store policy to override all Jan 1st dates. I can't tell you why they did this, but I was thankful. Most stores will have them jan 1st yes. Wherever you usually find your mega bloks at. TRU is usually best.
>>
>>5370161
Okay I'll wait then. Don't really want to go all the way there and be told no. That's if they're even on the shelves.
>>
Just left TRU. No TMNT MB, but I did find some neat little DC minifigs. Got myself batman beyond and flash and grabbed batman and robin for the kid. Hope to see the tmnt stuff soon.

you mean that episode where it came out that Terry was Bruce's son because of some goofy genetic alteration bullshit, all because Bruce Timm is too retarded to understand what recessive genes are?

Yeah... those of us with brains prefer to pretend that never happened, because it was goddamned stupid.
>>

We can ignore it all we want, but it's canon and set in stone. If someone tries to retcon it, it'll just be an alternate universe story
>>
>>5371442
Yeah that one. At least it wrapped up the show proper (i believe the last BB episode was the one with the kid talkmb chemicals to beat up his bullies) and gave an idea of the future JL. That aspect was neat.

I think the ones in the Krang sets are darker? Also they mixed around faces. Raph has single pack Don's face, but angry eyes mask. Leo has single pack's Raph's sneer.
Guess I might buy their single packs down the line.
Donnie and Mikey are a very bright green.

>And how do they compare to the 6" Classics Playmates put out three years ago?

Weird comparison you want there.
>>
I'm conflicted. I grew up with the original turtles, but their cartoon did not age well and stuff for my age group is so oversaturated with those stupid goofy faces and it gets old. I think the 2012 turtles are the best representation yet

Now the conflicting part is that obviously the minifigs of the classics are better done than the new version. I really want to get the classics because they look like awesome figures, but Geeze I don't know if I can deal with more of that marketing style design of them with the bright colors and stupid faces.
>>5377284
He's the favorite now also.
>>
I found the sets for the younger kids, the $10 Nick sets, and krangs rampage. I didn't get any. $35 seems like a lot for a small figure build and the mikey $10 set had weird spray paint on his design.

I understand that you feel the old series wasn't actually all that great, but I'm confused about your apprehension with getting the classic packs. Yeah they're round and brightly-colored and maybe a little goofy-looking, but that won't keep them from being good figures.

And even the Nick TMNT, your favorite incarnation, gets bright and goofy half of the time.

You should go get that classic Mikey pack and see how you feel about it. Even if you end up not liking it, it'll only be 8 USD.

>>
>>5378878
Is Power Rangers considered a collector line?
>>
>>5378547
Again it's the overuse of them. Everywhere. They use the same goofy faces everywhere and it's exhausting. I get it. You slap the old turtles on a shirt or a cup and nostalgiafags will eat it up. Doesn't matter what you put, but fucking a it's getting old seeing them. Especially when you can tell they just color swap masks most of the time. I just have a distaste for the old toon. I respect what it did, but it's still a pretty bad series. Same goes for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

My hesitation is because these minifigures look awesome and im never one to turn away from great figures, but they're the classic turtles. On one hand the figures are great on the other they're not an incarnation I like.

The turtle figs have different tiers of shitness. The collector series are very very nice. IMO. The blind bags, the ones in the sets, and the collectors are all different...That is how you get people to buy them. There is something for everyone's price point. One thing I like about Mega bloks is that they don't make a lot of custom pieces. Now some would say that makes them suck more. I think that makes their builds more of a building experience. With lego you clip this big element on and then attach this other big custom element, but most all mega bloks have you painstakingly build it brick by brick. This is mainly for licensed stuff and excludes the creator stuffs from lego.

Honestly, I hear this complaint aimed at Mega Bloks too.

When it comes to Lego, I don't really see much of the big custom elements that people mention. Plenty of custom minifig accessories, sure, but a good majority of the parts library is functional. Sometimes the licensed sets are even more complicated than the original sets, simply because they have to copy existing complex shapes.

Is there any news about a Classic Toon Party Wagon? Kind of hoping we get one along with an April minifig.
>>
>>5387266
>megabloks making females

kek
>>
>>5387266
I really want a reprint of the original, I know they did one but it's so rare that the price just doesn't work for me. I bought a pop Party wagon as a replacement but it's not quite the same.
>>
>>5387273
>buying literal shit

buyers remose much?
>>
>>5387274
A little bit, the wheels don't even move. It still looks okay on my shelf though, next to my reprint original figures and the classics line.
>>
>>5387271
I guess MB isn't popular enough to trigger SJWs into a shitstorm frenzy.
>>
>>5387293
April is a non important character, not even Neca will release her action figure.

There is one female in the star trek line at least. But ive dropped all hope of making a custom Claire Redfield

I think they've had a lot of halo women. I don't follow the line, but I swear I've seen them.
>>
>>5387300
Neca did release her figure. It just sucked and it's what killed the line.
>>
>>5387339
the number of males that play the game outweight the number of gamer gurl hashtag streamers on twitch
>>
>>5387341
Oh right, explains why Neca will never release a krang or shredder, something Megabloks will do as they care more about us true fans.
>>
>>5387342
Oh. You're that troll again. The one who tries to go into a different discussion direction without making any points to what's being said.

Carry on.
>>
>>5387349
Bazinga!
>>
>>5387346
In all fairness to produce the mega blok krane is much cheaper than a neca version...
>>
>>5387342

It is for sure a go to game for many gamers male or female. FUUUU
>>
>>5387357
The megablok krang is made up of more colors and plastics, a krang would be a basic action figure build with paint showing off molded details
>>
>>5384124
These ones sucked
>>
>>5387365
It is one color plastic and a gummy bear... not the same production as a neca figure. Go buy a fuking krang and compare it to a neca and say these take about the same to make thats why they cost the same....
>>
>>5387372
Oh yea, Megabloks has more of a shelf presence because of being socially acceptable despite the racist militaristic tone of Call of Duty presents itself as.
>>
>>5387372
>one color plastic and a gummy bear
I thought you guys were talking about the 1/12 buildable Krang: >>5366721

>>
>>5387446
They wouldnt sell as much if it was the other way around. Unless there were more black people in Canada. Do you think when africans go to the store and see there african black man toys they say, "oh you know what, ther eare not as many white figures, SJW africcaaa". No they dont...it only happens in the U.S. Policitcal correctness is a form of thought and speech control. Don't be a pussy and don't be PC

So which turtles are in scale with what other MB licenses. I know someone gave Tiger Claw some elbow articulation by slapping some Halo arms on him but what about the rest?

It's still early in the line. They might come out with the Turtle Van in the classic line.

I will post on this thread because i dont want to make a new thread about something so pointless

But i Saw this Bob sponge megabloks figures.
And even if i dont care or feel about collecting stuff about it.
I saw it when i was younger, but i never liked it that much to get nostalgic.

But this figures look really good, i mean, it look pretty much like the characters and they look good.

It make me want that Megabloks made a ton of other cartoon lines, like making tons of other Cartoon Network characters on Megabloks style.
or something like that.
>>
>>5388619
They're eh. I got me and the kid 2 different car sets on clearance the other day. I got the Patrick one and I dig it.

There's no real leg articulation in most of them sadly.
>>
>>5388619
The ones in the boxes are usually nicer than the blind bag ones. How much are those? I got the new boxed turtle ones that say collector series and I might take them back. They where 7.99 each and I got the four turtles and I am sitting hear trying to figure out if they are even worth it....
>>
>>5388638
Just do what I did and get your favorite. I have mikey and I'm perfectly fine. I might get some more of the blind bag ones. I have that mikey also and he's fun. I MIGHT get Bebop and Rocksteady because they look like cool figures and come with a lot in the set.
>>
>>5388619
Where are you from, anon?
>>
>>5388638
if i were to buy them from you, how much would the shipping be to malaysia? i don't mind getting them loose
>>
>>5388692
Are there not any sellers selling them on ebay internationally? I could post some if not.
>>
>>5388698
there are some, but the shipping's as much as the toy themselves if not pricier

and thats why you dont mind them loose...It looks like new in box would ship about $15-20. I didnt fully pack it I just weighed it all out.

yea, i got no other choice, it's either i suck it up and buy them online for crazy shipping prices or hope my thailand friend gets them there, which i doubt it
>>
>>5388748
is the 15-20 cheaper than other auctions. That price is straight from the USPS calculator
>>

combined or each?
this is the mega bloks classic turtles we're talking about right?
>>

>>

sounds reasonable, so the total would be 8x4+15?
email's in the name, let's talk there
>>
>>5388820
well there would be tax. I paid my local sales tax and I would tax you a little...I had to go get it and all that good stuff. I am not sure I am willing to do it yet, and it would be done on ebay it would not be a private thing. I have your email noted and I will sleep on it. I will message you or post on here.

I'm at wal Mart right now. I appreciate what you did but none of those codes are on any of these.
>>
So what other lines will Mega Bloks pick up now that theyre owned by hasbro? Do you like the split between certain types of figures?
>>
>>5389058
Wow. i wonder how the coding works then.
>>
>>5388619
>single packs based around the same episode
That's pretty clever.
>>
>>5389089
What do you mean exactly?
What line Mega Bloks did that is own by hasbro?

this are like... i dont know... $5.5 each... but just because the dollar. but isnt the same for some one here than some one on the US.

>>5388685
Mexico

Mega Bloks is owned by Mattel, not Hasbro.

>>5390850
Yeah. They had some concepts at SDCC. They were seeing if there was any interest.
