>he bought the black series version
>baton doesn't even extend
at least the model kit's baton extends and it's cheaper
>not waiting for shf, mafex, or hot toy
From what I've heard Po is pretty good and will likely be a hard to come by figure later on, and the stormtrooper is a stormtrooper. I'm not a giant fan of the fact they dropped the double jointed elbows in the FA line but if you can work past that then he is just as good as other black series.
>gonna go and see if I can find this mythical pack you speak of because I haven't seen it any of my locals
Can the black series kylo ren figure remove his hood and such?
These pics just had me looking up this kit.. Could not make myself pull the trigger since I already have a modded Black Series regular trooper, but I did wind up getting the C-3PO and R2/R5 kits to go along with the Phasma kit I pre-ordered.
The kit can be gotten for around $25 shipped, whereas the Black Series set with the trooper and Poe is $40. Unless you want Poe as well, the model kit is probably the best choice in terms of money.
It's soft goods so you can put it down as if he's lowered it. With heat I'm sure you can pop the head off and take it off. I saw a video where a guy modded his with different fabric.
Yeah, I know. It was my first kit assembly.
I considered trying to fix it, but I only have a very big and unwieldy cutter at the moment, and I wouldn't want to fuck up the entire helmet.
Just got him in the two pack, hes pretty fun. Had to cut his shield to get it off though, but he can still use it.
The elbows are awful though. How does one go about modding them?
I love mine. I'll take an Exacto to it later tho and cut into the arm so you can move the shield down and be able to bend the Elbow.
The Baton is pretty loose in his Right hand on mine tho.
So I think I'm going to get the black series, even though I thought I was done with the line for good. I understand that the elbows aren't double jointed anymore which is a shame.
What's this I hear about modding the shield? What's a nice easy way of doing that?
Does he only come in the two pack? I liked po in the movie but I only collect troopers so I'd rather get tr8r alone. Also where do I find this guy in USA? Paint isn't reliable enough for online order. Target? walgreens?
>I love my model
>All I have to do is perform surgery on it, cut it, make it imperfect, so I can do something it should already be able to do
>Nubs, nubs everywhere
>No toe articulation
This is why I don't give a shit about your model kit.
Looking forward to the real figure coming out.
....and also my post was about how you don't need to take an exacto to it to get the shield off. Just soak it in some warm water for two minutes. Even lazy anons can accomplish that.
Yea he's only 2 pack but I love Poe with Jacket so it works out.
I found these guys at Target. You can find them at Walmart, Target and Toy R Us mainly and maybe other shops but it'll be easier at the big 3.
Yea my Rainbow is complete of all current releases.
When I took the pic I didn't notice one was tilted and it drives my OCD crazy.
I hope so but to me it looks like he has too much plastic just above the Elbow so even loosening it might not work. i could be wrong but I just want to be able to scoot the Shield up a bit so he can bend his Elbow better.
OR you could do this. Whatevers easiest for you. Personally I prefer the water method as I like keeping my figures as intact as possible, however the cut anon above made seems really minor in terms of appearance so you could go either way.
>One cut piece of white model sprue.
>Some cut pieces of black tape.
My vanilla FO Trooper has a space tonfa and I didn't have to pay $40 for the Target giftset just to get it.
Target has a 31 inch and a 48 inch stormtrooper. Which is better? Both are Jakks.
Got one from Walmart tonight for $20
This isn't even my photo. It's from yak face. I just got a shift manager to price match after a lot of begging
At $20, it would be awesome to army build these. You could just line them up throughout your house, filling entire rooms like a silent army of Terracotta Stormtroopers watching over your domain.
No. It's a total fluke. They're $80 on the website. Usually Walmart will only price match the website. I had to go to several locations until I found so done who would price match the pic. I also did a lot of lying. Again, that's not even my pic.
FYI, most of the stores I went to also had the Jakks R2 for $20. It's usually $50.
BTW, this guy speaks and has two modes. Motion detection and push button.
