anyone got the new wave yet?
>>
When is the wave with werewolf Cap coming out, that's what I want to know.
>>

>retail hasbro Venom paints emblem properly, above cutoff waist joint

and yet DST fucked that up? I'd have expected the reverse, since Hasbro hires retards.

whats DST?

All of these look great. SpiderGwen and Venom are must-gets. Ben Reilly even has a Spider-Carnage head? Sign me up.

It's a shame I have no interest in Absorbing Man, because this wave is the first one I'll actually probably buy almost all the figures from.

Only one I'm not very interested in is Morbius.

I just bought my first legends figure in pic related for like half off and I find her to be pretty neat. Are there any more lady legends worth picking up?
Also what do you guys do with the extra body part, I'm not planning on getting the rest of the figures to build ultron(she comes with his torso)
>>
>>5360655
Ultron has his problems, but it's actually a pretty neat toy once you have it all together.
>>
>>5360655
I love Anya, but I haven't seen her in the wild for a long time.
>>
>>5360655
I like Spider-Woman but her paint apps can vary wildly from figure to figure for her. You can still find her in the wild if you try hard enough. Speaking of pegwarmers, both women in the Odin wave are nice. I also like Black Cat, but her elbows are limited and the heels can make her a bitch to stand.

Finally, I have to agree with the other anon about Anya and I'd like to add Mayday. The only thing I'd improve about them both is that they should have better ab joints.
>>
>>5360670
Are the female figures really hard to come by? Thats sucks, I kinda liked the idea of having a super heroine exclusive collection
>>
>>5360683
Not really. Most of them pegwarm pretty well after the first rush of OMG1PURCASEEEEEE
>>
>>5360683
Nah, they aren't that rare, it's just that Anya was a few waves back. Jessica Drew (Spider Woman), Mayday Parker and that other red Spider Woman are still in stores as well as Hellcat, Ms Marvel, Scarlet Witch, White Tiger, Misty Knight, Valkyrie, Thundra, Maria Hill (in the TRU agents 3-pack)
>>
>>5360683
Not really, no. It's just that I could only find Spider-Woman here at a single Wal-Mart but she isn't leaving anytime soon.

Most modern Legends aren't hard to find at all.
>>
>>5360655
>>5360660
"neat"
>>
>>5358662 (OP)

Why are there two Ben Reiley's? Is there a significance between the two?
>>
>>5360814

That's probably just the case assortment.

Two Reileys, and one of everyone else per case.
>>
>>5360817
Been wondering, I completed my first set a few days ago, and now seeing a Venom and a Jack-O-Lantern I think I'll be completing another
>>
>>5360814

they always up the title characters, iron man, spider-man, someone had to finish the case off so.... spider-man. He does pull double duty as spider-man and spider-carnage, but still, they always double up on the main heroes.
>>
>>5358667
Hasbro saved their usual retardation and poor decision making for the bigger "fuck you" of using the Hyperion body. Using such a god awful body as the base for such a highly desired figure is worse than anything DST fucked up on their Venom.
>>

Is Ultron worth getting? I've seen some people repaint him and the results don't look too bad...
>>
>>5361262
I like it well enough, but I'd rather have the Revoltech.
That image you posted has a lot more going on than just paint, btw. There's some harsh lighting and a fair amount of contrast and saturation being pumped up.
>>
>>5361262
You'd be better off getting the Revoltech, don't know if people will attack for me for saying it or not but it really does look like a great figure.
>>
>>5361173
Looks like a pretty easy custom actually. I believe there have been a few Spidey figures over the years that come with backpack accessories, and the hands and feet can be cannibalized from other figures (or sculpted, if you're up for that). Then it's a simple repaint and you're done.
>>
>>5358662
When?? I will buy that Gwen so fast, it'll make your head spin.
>>
>>5358662
Sheetle doesn't come with any accessories?

Now a trickier one is getting a Jessica Jones.

You could probably just buy a Dr Who figure for Killgrave.

I heard Grim Reaper is fantastic, but haven't got one myself. Same for Bulldozer and Batroc.

I like my Legends 3-Pack Ultron, Kraven, Rhino (BAF though), and Chameleon. Select Venom is amazing, but there's also a Legends Venom coming out soon. Legends Carnage is a 10/10 imo if you can get him for a fair price.
>>
>>5361311
I own it, and it's fantastic. Much better looking than the BAF or the shf coming out in my opinion.

Love the articulated eyes, too.
>>

>>
>>5361567
I want the red one (which I hope they fix in season 2), not the boring black one.
>>
>>5360655
Op here , i just picked up captain marvel and scarlet witch, and they are fantastic, i recommend them, white tiger and spiderman 2099, i started my collection with superior venom, white tiger and spidey 2099, they are great and they where quite cheap aswell. hope this helps
>>
>>5360817
its just how the picture was on bbts, nothing more nothing less
>>
Anyone in the states find the Absorbing Man wave in stores yet? Haven't seen them on Amazon yet.
>>
>>5361109
I wish they had used the Terrax/Dormammu body instead. Body was ripped with veins which would have suited Venom a lot better than featureless Hyperion mold.
>>
Anyone own the BAF jubilee head? Can it fit onto the spidergirl body ok? Im not sure if the neck joints are the same size.
>>
>>5374088
They should. It's the same base body. The only difference below the head is the arms.
>>
>>5374088
>Can it fit onto the spidergirl body ok?

It can.

Spidergirl uses the same body.
>>
>>5365855
Walgreens exclusive Black Ant is fucking radical. So is Chameleon, Kraven, Grim Reaper, Rhino, and Batroc. This year has been a surprisingly great one for villain figures.

Shame there was no full Legends Yellowjacket. His design is fucking amazing.
>>
>>5374092
>>5374095
Thanks for the info! My google fu wasn't strong enough to find a pic of to see if anyone had head swapped the figure before. I was scared Hasbro decided to give her neck ball joint a different size over the spider girls.

Well, the ones you linked are more or less well known. I don't know much about Whirlwind though, other than I remember fighting him in the Captain America & The Avengers arcade cabinet.
>>
>>5377600

For some reason their actual names are not on the box, that's Sharon carter, Mockingbird and Whirlwind respectively.
>>
>>5377609
Yeah it's odd they don't have their names listed. I'm guessing it's listed on the back of the box.

I think Onslaught looks awesome, but the only ones I want are Cottonmouth and Captain America. I have a bad feeling there will be a lot of shelfwarmers from this wave.

No, he's not. He was most recently seen fucking up Parker Industries' Super Prison and fighting Spider-Man.

Classic Taskmaster's head on that body doesn't seem right.

At least not without a cape. I'll have to get this guy a cape.

This iteration of Scourge it pretty shitty but I'll admit the design looks nice in a generic thug kind of way.
I'll have to get one to act as a punching bag.

Taskmaster is the only one out of the wave that I like. Was thinking of getting Cap but that face turned me off to him.

Oh well, got these from Frank & Son yesterday. IM's feet are dogshit but all I need is a stand to have him in a hovering pose.
>>
>>5361311
only Star War threads will mentioning Revoltech will ensure a shitstorm.
Everywhere else is a lot more even headed about it.
>>
>>5377920
To be fair, he's also been nothing but wallpaper in villain group shots for a long time too. Outside of a recurring role on EMH, there hasn't really been much done with him in the comics for a while now.
>>
>>5377628
Have you not seen the pegs in stores lately? All of these C and D list characters are languishing terribly. There is only one character in this entire wave that anyone will know unless they read a lot of comics
>>
>>5378026
Sharon Carter is in the movies, and Taskmaster is fairly popular, and racks up the gaming appearances these days, so three of them are totally fine as far as casual recognition goes.
>>
>>5378038
Oh, right Mockingbird is in this wave too? She's a major character on Agents of SHIELD, so that's four.

Not my first, second, fifth, ninth or even 12th choice from the Serpent Society but a new villain is still a good villain. I'll try to buy him loose.
>>5377569
This guy is supposed to be 'Give me a red' Nuke's new identity isn't he? He's a loose buy..maybe even army build for a squad of goons.
>>5377574
Pass... I don't need werewolf Cap.
>>5377578
If that head scales with the old Toy Biz figure I'll headswap & hopefully I'll finally have a Taskmaster that looks like the Taskmaster. I might do the same with the Skull BAF head if it scales with the ML from a few years ago. Probably buy this one in box but I've zero interest in the UDON version.

>>5377590
Loose buy. Can't wait to see how she looks with Hawkeye.

Baron Blood or the Red Guardian would have been fucking awesome but I think BB would get the Morbius treatment in that he would only be able to be posed with his arms up or like Black Bolt and have the fins at awkward angles when down.

That Ghost Rider body is shared with comic Star-Lord and the Winter Soldier AIM body. The former is a bit too hard to get for those purposes, probably, but if you have an AIM guy laying around, that could work.

>>5380145
I'm really hoping this works though- would look fantastic if it scales. The First Order uniforms are even more Nazi than our actual Nazi figures.
>>
I want BAF to die. Just sell me the figures, I'm not going to buy a bunch of toys I don't want to get one I do.
>>
>>5380462
Most of the BAFs are characters that would never get released otherwise. Maybe they could be released in special "Deluxe" style packages for a higher price, but there's no way we'd get stuff like the Mandroid, Old King Thor, or most of the other characters we've gotten through them. It's a great way to expand out and get characters who would never otherwise see the light of day.

The only way I'd be okay with giving them up is if they then bumped up the accessory count by a good amount on every figure, and they painted them in such a way that highlights the sculpt instead of burying it in a gloopy mess, but I don't think either of those things would happen.

>All the BAF alt parts they've done so far have required modification to not be as permanent as a standard BAF part

What are you talking about? Rhino's heads pop off no problem, and the only effort needed between Odin and Thor is maybe some heat at the bicep swivel.
>>
>>5381100
Thor's arm comes out with head if you lift the arm up at the shoulder and tilt it up so that the leg pops out.
>>
>>5380480
This. Sometimes (though not often on Hasbro's part) it's also a way to get a huge figure out. And if we're going to be real even if they got rid of the BAFs there's no way Hasbro would lower the price, increase the amount of accessories, or increase the quality of the figures.

it is annoying but if you sell the figures on eBay quick you can recoup a lotta the cost. sadly this doesn't work so well for hulkbuster wave where every figure is complete shit

Your list is ASS it doesn't even have Dormammu which is probably the best ML of last year.

If there's one thing for sure, is that Slott's writing is worse than Bendis. And he doesn't even write the Avengers anymore.

I've ignored Marvel Legends for a long time, but I will definitely buying the majority of this wave as soon as they hit shelves. I don't even care about the BAF, but Cap and some of his key enemies are just too good to pass up.

Not sure about the shield girls though, Carter isn't that bad, but I really don't like Mockingbird's grandma-glasses style mask. Would've been nice if she came with an unmasked head as well or something.

>>5377753
I'll be honest, I'm not very familiar with Scourge, but I did plan on getting him just because I liked his look. But after hearing the suggestion that he could be used as a generic thug...I'm kind of tempted to grab a few of him. There just isn't enough 6" scale generic henchmen out there and he'd make a fine goon for heroes to beat on en-mass.

>>5380132
Well the Onslaught helmet that's also designed for the body seems to be no bigger then the average figure's body, and hell even in package the Red Skull head seems normal sized. I can't imagine it *not* being really easy to pop onto a basic figure and have it look good.

I was thinking of dropping it onto Chameleon myself, but it might even work on Scourge to make for a combat ready Red Skull (with appropriate henchmen).

>>5381542
>this is IMO but the character design is SHIT and the character was BUTCHERED in the movie
I agree movie Ultron's design wasn't great but this shouldn't be part of your reason for giving a toy you knew was based on that version of the character a low rating

His entire list is all sorts of booty.

Its like shit he has on his shelf and half of it is probably in a bin somewhere.

Alright, since most of you mother fuckers dont seem to know Scourge is, im gonna school you.

>Frank Simpson was the disturbed son of a wealthy, abusive, alcoholic, upper-class woman in Ohio. Frank soon developed an unhealthy affection for his babysitter, the only real maternal figure in his life. The young woman, who was harboring feelings for his father Charles, capitalized on Frank's affection and talked the boy into killing his mother. Wolverine, who at that time was an operative for Weapon Plus had been sent to kidnap Frank. Logan showed up, dressed as a cop. He then stalked Charles Simpson and the babysitter, eventually shooting the girl with Charles' gun, after which Charles committed suicide. Wolverine then went to Frank's place and abducted him for Project: Homegrown.

>Years later, Frank was sent into the Vietnam War as a black-ops agent. Captured by the Viet Cong, Frank was severely tortured by Logan (who was posing as a Russian intelligence liaison), shattering Frank's still unbalanced mind. While torturing him,(even carving into his face the American flag that years later would become part of his super-powered personality), he implanted the phrase "No V.C.!" as a trigger word, along with the compulsion to kill gruesomely, in retaliation for the tortures suffered, anyone who uttered the words. He then allowed Frank to escape, testing his work with a village of peasants, who, seeing an American soldier, tried to soothe his anger and convince him to spare them, shouting the "No V.C.!" phrase, meaning that they weren't Viet Cong. Frank, in response to the trigger word, burnt the village to the ground killing every inhabitant. The experiment being a success, Logan was instated as the handler of the human weapon. Due to his trauma, Nuke often hallucinates that the enemies he is fighting are the Viet Cong.

>Norman Osborn adds a man named Scourge to his black ops team the Thunderbolts; Osborn seems to know who Scourge is, but does not reveal Scourge's identity.[14] On their next mission, Osborn orders Yelena Belova to lead the current Thunderbolts to kill former Thunderbolt, Songbird. During the mission, Osborn promotes Scourge to field leader, and Belova is revealed to be the original Black Widow, Natasha Romanova in disguise.[15] Scourge leads the team into capturing the Black Widow, Songbird,[16] and Nick Fury[17][18] [19] When Scourge orders the Thunderbolts to execute Songbird, Headsman turns on him and tries to kill him. Paladin helps out by shooting Scourge, and Ghost used an electro-convulsive shock to make Scourge forget what happened as Songbird and the Black Widow escape. When Osborn confronts Scourge about the botched mission, the man reveals himself to be Nuke, stating that his new name is not who he really is

This isn't a figure of Scourge, who has a completely different costume, it's a figure of the second major incarnation of Scourge of the Underworld. D-Man became the SotU during the Brubaker run on Cap, not long before Steve died and Bucky became the new Cap.

Swing and a miss there buddy. Again I know pretty much nothing about this Scourge but I certainly know enough to realize there's about a half dozen guys in marvel who had that name at some point.

Ironically, I *did* know about about Demolition Man, I was all up in comics when that crazy super-wrestling arc stuff happened.

Still gonna use him as troop fodder though, even more-so actually learning about his convoluted history.

And the 'Most Often Returned Figure With Obvious Swapped Parts' Award goes to...
>>
>>5382747
I have a general hux lined up for the red skull head for just this very idea ^^
(and considering that guy is basically a nazi in force awakens, this is rather appropriate)
>>
>>5377578
Everything in this box is interesting.
The figure looks cool, even if people don't like the Udon version, it is a fresh look.
The hood may have applications outside of this figure.
The arms and legs are a new sculpt that may translate well on other figures as parts swaps.
The accessories will go well with anything, and the sword can be a stand-in in the Star Wars Black Series line.
The Red Skull head appears to be in-scale with any regular body, so it may function well on a Star Wars General Hux body, thereby making a near-perfect Nazi Red Skull look with little effort.
>>
>>5382842
Gawd...me too. The 'Ghost/Jack O Lantern body would be perfect for him

Is it wrong to want to take that Silvermane head and stick it on a BaF Ultron body to make a complete Silvermane?
>>

You have to modify the ball joint of the head socket I get that to work and even then he will have a huge body and a small head. Might look cool on the revoltech body or the target 3 pack ultron body.

Is this wave out already? My local Walmart just got in the last wave less than a week ago.
