I was actually thinking of trying to build something like this. I thought about using some tough but thin white tagboard or wood and then gluing thin strips along it to get it that little extra texture like pic related. I've never really built anything, but I figure even I can manage to nail some walls to a base and attach the strips and pegs to pretty it up.
Forgot the pic. Not that it's that hard to visualize anyway.
I was thinking about doing something like this, just scaled down to 1/12 for my figmas.
Goddamit, I'm jelly as fuck. What is thst glorious specimen on the top row, second from last on the right side?
You can use a blank circuit board as a near perfect replacement for 1/12 pegboard.
does anyone know where I can get some of these guns (or anything similar)? I would like to get some more weapons that scale well with my revoltech Jagi
Amazon, or any DIY electronics store will carry them.
Paperclips are just about the perfect size and pretty pliable but you'll probably need some wire snips and needle nose pliers. Possibly some dabs of superglue if they aren't a snug fit. I haven't made mine yet but that's my plan. Or, you know, you could solder them from the backside if you're capable.
Now that I think about it, you wouldn't even need to solder them. You could just dab a glob of glue or putty on the back end of the wire to make it thick enough not to pass through. That way you could slide them out the back and rearrange the weapons if need be.
Semi on topic, anyone happen to know where one would obtain a decent sculpt of an FN P-90 for 6-inch scale figures? The only one I've ever seen was included with the Figma Henrietta from Gunslinger Girls.
Been there. Picked up those Ban on Eva statueshits just for the weapons and ammo cans. The figures themselves will probably just end up in the trash. Still cheaper than buying a few Little Armory sets and painting them to look nice so I'm cool with that.
So, ignoring all of these http://slist.amiami.com/top/search/list?s_seriestitle=Little+Armory&pagemax=40
A few other options exist:
And just because I'm feeling extra autistic tonight, here's a list of figma that come with guns and which ones each has:
> Seburo M-5
> Seburo C-26A
> Beretta Px4 Storm
> Makarov PB
> FN P90 w/ violin case
> teacup & chair
> PGM Hecate II
> Glock 18C with extended assault clip
> Barrett M82A1
> FN F2000
> M249 SAW
> tactical schoolbag
> pipe bomb
> golf club
> Boys Anti-tank Rifle
> Type 99 Cannon
> M16A2 w/ briefcase
> S&W .38 Special
> Walther WA 2000
> Calico M950
> Thompson Contender
> Ruger Single Six
> Auto 9
I think that's everyone.
>I think that's everyone.
I was wrong. Forgot everyone that dual wields, plus one more:
> twin Uzis
> twin Deagle MkVIIs w/ 10" barrels
> two Glocl 17s
> Colt Python
> also a knife
And if we want to include sillier things like rayguns, there's Okabe, Scarlet Rain, Kos-Mos, and T-elios. And Reika from Gantz with her almost realistic looking gatz. And Aigis: The ULTIMATE ver. with her assorted addons. Think that covers it all. Probably not though.
Forgot more goofy shit like all of Black Rock Shooter's black rock shooters and Strength's gunfingers.
Also, and I'm ashamed of this one in particular, Mami and her magic flintlocks.
I'm sure there's more I left out.
Appreciate the autism anon.
Now, if only people did recasts of these 1/12 guns
Yes but he also comes with a revolver.
There's a small toy from Hellsing's StoryImageFigure line that comes with 2 P90s.
They can be cut out of the hands and used in figma hands, or you can just use the hands as is. Just sand the pegs down enough to fit figma wrist holes.
Stepping outside the realm of 100% realism:
Kotobukiya's weapon units are generally meant for use by 5-7 inch figures, mostly mecha but general use as well. The OP pic has four of their larger guns on the stand. Personally, my favorite gun of theirs is the revolver from their handgun set, a threepack that also came with a semi-automatic and an SMG. It's the perfect size and shape to be paired with Revoltech Vash's default revolver, letting him dual-wield. I'm also quite fond of their wind-up minigun and likewise wind up chainsaw (with real chain action)
That's Murmeltiers head on a "ban on invasion" Asuka Sega Prize figure. Trash figure but comes with some nice prepainted 1/12ish weapons and ammo can for what you'd pay for a little armory kit. Rei comes with other weapons. They're usually sold together: http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1334314.html There's also a less common repaint version with different weapons: http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1154356.html And there's another set with swords and shit.
Man, I love Kotobukiya's stuff. I feel they worked pretty good with stormtroopers, but I'm about to try and acquire some hydra soldiers and use them instead
There is this. I do believe they come unpainted though.
These are 12" as well and coem with guns
These are also pretty cheap, I think some anons have even found them at dollar stores. The figures are like shitty bootleg super beefy GIJoes but the guns work nice at 1:2
Helps to have a figma with hands designed to hold guns too.
A simple way to more or less make any gun fit a TF is to find a 3mm thick post you can cut to your preferred length and just glue it to the gun you want your TF to have. In pic related, Hound is holding a gun that actually game with a G.I. Joe, all I did was cut off the old handle...and some excess off the back that got in the way and glued on a plastic peg. Once it fully dries it's more or less a permanent fixture, but if you want to add extra security so it don't break you can always drill in a small piece of paper clip or something.
Also, Landmine is holding a Kotobukiya weapon unit...but his hands are pretty unique.
The only problems I have with those guns is that their details are kind of muddy and some of them can cause a hand to permanently over stretch. Shaving down the handles some can help with the first issue though. But for what you pay for em, they're great little guns and accessories.
I think those are from Marauder Gun-Runners.
They used to be at marauderinc.com but now that domains redirects to a subdomain on servertrust.com for some reason. Caveat emptor.
Galil product listing: http://yeflk.rrpjz.servertrust.com/product-p/t-710011.htm
Marauder Gun-Runners also has an ebay store:
I tried to contact this guy some time ago to buy some of his weapons and after 3 mails with various days between each mail, the guy never answer back
Is that guy dead or something ???
Have someone atually buy something from this site?
Has anybody tried the Bandai LBX weapons?
They're made for robot figures of another scale, but I've heard they work well with 1/12 figures.
I got some pieces from him last year. Maybe he's discontinued the service since then?
(Not my pic but essentially the same as what I ordered)
I don't know anything about Star Wars figures, which version are these? Are the swords actually pegged into their backs or are they taped on?
...And most importantly what the heck happened to the two guys in the middle?
Yeah it's from Marauders, top class stuff he sells to be fair!
I put some Slings on too
-What scale should I be looking for for Marvel Legends?
-Any good suppliers?
-Do Kotobukiya stuff works?
Pic related, its who I'm looking guns for.
I have a couple WWII weapons back ordered from HLJ
Sweet lists, anon.
Live from Deadpool's safehouse #2925962626273263263, it's Deadpool
It's not the same rifle, but Koto has a kit with the M416 and AEK 971 (I guess so), the AEK has a foldable stock and both come with removable scopes and underbarrel grenade launchers
Nevermind, I found it while looking at Frame Arms stuff. It's the MSG assault rifle weapon set. Anyone know if it's compatible with figmas?
Not my pics but judging by them they do seem to fit well with figmas if you have hands that can clutch them well enough.
And they're way cheaper than Little Armory guns.
>no Nodoka in that pic
that guy is a faggot for not having best girl
His skills aren't in question. Yours are, and they've been found to be lacking greatly.
One does not have to be a 4 Michelin Star chef to know if their food tastes like shit.
Mah nigga, I'm considering snatching him up in the next few months. My Kenshiro just came in a couple days ago. He's sitting up next to my few other animu figures. Just starting my collection here.
These are great for weapons.
In fact, that company sells different weapon packs that you can find sometimes at Big Lots. I found a bunch last year around this time when they started to stock a lot of toys for the holidays. They have a great mini-gun set that looks awesome with ML figures.
Sorry no pics.
SHit! I just got that one off ebay for a good but more!
The big rifle is pretty nice. Forget the name, but it is esentially a .57 caliber rifle.
The Rei ones are nice. The main one has an RPG, and the alternate has an MG42
Any 1/12 rocket launcher like the one in your pic?
Only found this 1/8 scale FLASH
That's Figma Sanya's Fliegerhammer, a fictional rocket launcher based on this the Fliegerfaust.
It fires incendiary rockets. That's not a flame thrower.
There's a garage kit for one at 1:12 but so far no luck seeing it for sale anywhere online.
LA kits are all unpainted and unassembled out of the box.
a flame thrower by any other name is still throwing a flame, thus a flame thrower
>doesn't load, dumps be back to the frontpage
Oh my, why can't I get to the fg-site page? Do I need to register?
Look, just because some crazy commie subcontractor misclassified their own rocket launcher as as a flamethrower http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPO-A_Shmel doesn't change the function of the platform. You can call a dog a duck but it still won't lay eggs for you.
>a flame thrower by any other name is still throwing a flame
And a rocket launcher by any other name is still launching rockets.
You're a little mixed up, but you're close.
Godd job, anon. your efforts are appreciated around here
Cool, here's one of mine scaled to a technic figure.
Kind of large since they are for 12inch figures but these are the most detailed miniature guns I've found. They go with the soldier story line of 12inch figures. All the attachments are remove able. The gun has a working charging handle and mock bolt , working dust cover. The receivers and handguardsveven fully break down. A bit pricey for a small gun ($30) but they fit gundams and I love m4s.
