I guess my 1/6 JEA Bertie pic is of one (not specifically mine) I had only been able to find one online for around 1k but randomly one appeared on ebay for a bit less that I got right away. Either him or my 1/6 JEA Harold, he was pretty pricy too, those got hard to find almost instantly after they came out it seemed everyone got attached to theirs and didn't want to sell.
>>
>>4324958
>1k
Whoa, wait, nigga wat? Like, one thousand US dollars? 1/6 Bertie Mk.3s typically go for around $300 on the aftermarket, are you aware of that? Did JEA get ultra-rare while I wasn't looking, or did you just get fucking scalped to shit?
>>
>>4324958
>rarest
Hmm, probably any of the few customs I own? Seeing as there's only one of them in existence and all.

>most expensive
Hot Toys Classic Pred probably.
>>
>>4324987

>rarest
>customs

Laugh my ass off
>>
>>4324984
Yeah I know that's why I didn't buy it for 1k and waited until one was drastically cheaper on ebay. I had messaged the people selling it for that much before asking if they would be more reasonable on cost and they said they spent too much to be able to sell it for less and make profit? weird though because like you said I thought they were valued around 300-400 range (around what I actually paid) I guess JEA is pretty popular or at least certain figures of the set. I started collecting JEA about a year ago and have yet to find a 1/6 caesar for sale anywhere for instance.
>>
>>4325005
>essaged the people selling it for that much before asking if they would be more reasonable on cost and they said they spent too much to be able to sell it for less and make profit?
Protip: basing value on eBay scalper prices is retarded.
>>
>>4324971
Nobody even fucking bought Harolds, they were sold in the dumbest way possible.
>>
>>4326629
Not really. People were already committed to spending ~$300 for a Harold, as it's a big ol' bot and we had been waiting for it for a long time. Then they threw in free WWRp versions to sweeten the deal.

I think a decent amount of people probably bought them and simply aren't selling. I base this assumption on the fact that there was a good amount of activity + photos of Harolds arriving in the thread, yet Harolds rarely pop up on the BST. I gather they turned out quite well and the people who did buy them like them quite a bit.

I have some of those old toys from Godzilla Trendmasters, including the unreleased Doom Island stuff and some animated toys too.

I also own some old Gundam MSIAs, a Big Guy figure, and a Megas XLR figure.

And a masterpiece Skywarp.

That's it, I Think

>>
>>4326683
>threw in free WWRp versions
Nope. They decided to sell a $100 toy with a $200 toy as a set when most people only wanted one version or the other, but tried to play it off as them somehow being generous instead of lazy, so most people just said fuck it and didn't bother. And for $300 everyone who wasn't an idiot expected a much bigger bot. The WWR version looked like it should have been in the WWRp line based on the artwork, and the WWRp version is laughably undersized. Harold was a colossal fuck up. But the end result was smaller production run, so I bet they consider it a wild success now because it's more exclusive and pretty much only the inner core of wood's dick-riding fan following has them.

>>4327744
I'm going to agree with this guy. At the height of the line's popularity, with prices skyrocketing and tons of new fans from the anime, I tried to sell my rarest figures (Murmeltier, Asuka, and Ach Stradale) to fund school expenses. I didn't make nearly as much as I expected I would.
>>
Well, I'd go with my vintage MOTU Tytus, too bad it's not a made in Mexico one...

They did, but they're kinda meh.

There's one on ebay on bid for like $9 with $6 shipping, but it still has 4 days left. I always remember those things being unreasonably expensive.

I remember liking it a lot as a kid, but it has that Cartoon Network curse of just sort of fizzling out and dying off the air.

I can't recall very many CN shows that actually had a proper ending.

It did, though. The 2nd season kinda ties everything up.

It's pretty good if you enjoy the humor and specially references.

These guys. None have been sold on eBay recently but the last ones on Bricklink went for over a grand a piece. You can buy Mr. Gold for less than that now.

Think my rarest toys are my two Busou Shinki Asuka 'Night Ops' figures, or the 1/24 Yamato Patlabors. Favor the Patlabors much more though.

Most expensive in the collection is the Hot Toys '89 Batmobile.
>>
Ultimate Muscle series 2 Checkmate as far as most rare.

Most expensive, probably my megazord set. It's mostly complete, but unfortunately titanus suffered some corrosion in the battery compartment.

Anon with the figure here. Yes, they made these initially as a kind of thank you gift for the staff, but cartoon Network start making more of them and began giving them away as special prizes I think. I got mine off a friend for $20 (and in box) who worked there, but I never saw one in stores.

As for the show, there was plans for a season three, but that got canned by the execs at the time. There was no time travel plot, but they were going to reveal that
Coop accidently created the Glorft through an experiment in his high school biology class
.

For anyone who hasn't seen, I would give it a solid 9/10 for being filled with action, humor, and anime references. The only flaw is the lack of merchandise related to the show, and the lack of any real closure (third season). I do know that the creators go to all sorts of conventions and they might still be fighting for a revival somewhere.
>>
>>4329660
CN killed it by doing what they do to older shows; They give shows an improper airing slot and lie about their schedule to make people miss their program or make them think it was taken off the air. They also did this with Sym-Bionic Titan; bad airing times and lots of schedule changes led to a lost audience. They also blamed a lack of toys for the reason. Heh, look where I am posting my little complaint.

I also forgot to post this. Rumor has it that the creators of Megas and MTV's downtown released a DVD that had all the episodes from Downtown, since MTV wasn't going to give a proper release. These figures were prototypes that George and Jodi made for a fake commercial that never aired. Note that the Megas robot appears to be a modified Gundam MSIA figure, complete with beam saber.

My fucking nigger. How did you end up with that?
>>
Probably my TOA Heavy Industry's Synthetic Human. He was an absolute pain in the ass to get as preorders sold out in 40 minutes and then they did some lottery preorders.
>>
Rarest: Turtle Saint I guess
Most expensive: Dollfie Dream Saber Extra
>>
I have a Botcon 2001 Arcee, with the talking box. The box is in poor shape but Arcee is fine.

Also have CatSCAN, Sentinel Maximus, alpha and omega spears, Roulette & Shadow Striker, as well as more recent stuff like the 2008 set.

On the non-tf side of things I have a RD Unit-00 and SHF Kamen Rider Rising Ixa
>>
>>4324958

My most expensive in term of how much I spendt, not counting any increased value, is defenitely Transformers MP-11. around 250$CAN with shipping and custom fees included. Not worth THAT much IMO.

My rarest, and still very expensive (But worth it) is my Botcon 2008 Shattered Glass Starscream. No cards nor instructions unfortunately but no matter. I had to import it from Italy for around 175$CAN total. Including the shipping, who was around 80$! The thing still literally came in only 3 days however. He's the centerpeice of my Starscream collection.

There was a shop on LittleRubberGuys.com message forum back when I first got into the series. I was introduced to it by reading manga a few years after they stopped showing it on FoxBox. It cost me about 20 bucks plus shipping and I honestly didn't even realize it was such a big deal. The shop was pretty cool. Had Marvel Legends figures and stuff for relatively decent prices, but then they literally clearanced everything and the shop disappeared all together.
>>
>>4329859
Man, that's so cool. It makes me even more jealous that you only paid 20 dollars for it.

Where do you guys usually go to check up on prices? I can't imagine Ebay being incredibly reliable.

That being said, Some of my most expensive figures are probably the Megahouse Rider from Fate/Zero, the Nippon Icchi Etna and Rozalin figures from Disgaea and Disgaea 2 respectively, and the Play Arts Kai Dante from Devil May Cry 4. I probably have more, but I don't know reliable places to check prices.

>>
>>4330997
eBay's somewhat reliable, actually. But current auctions will tell you nothing, since people can charge whatever they want. You need to check SOLD auctions, which will tell you what people are actually paying. Average those prices and you'll have a pretty good idea of what a toy is worth on the aftermarket.

You can do the same with Mandarake.
>>
>>4331011
Cool, I'll check that out. I've been curious about several of my figures.

That Kumonga figures looks rad.

My rarest / most expensive figures would be the Lego SDCC Bizarro and Shazam figures. I bought them for $150. I am tempted to sell my Shazam figure soon for some extra money. Luckily I have the little pamphlet that came with him to show that he's legit.

They own the rights to the franchise now so they've been considering lots of things.

Its why Toonami can't reair it even though they want to. Cartoon Network doesn't own the show anymore.

Symbionic Titan is in the same place now. Creators own it again and they're trying to get an animated movie made.
