For various reasons; obscure or very old character/franchise, limited fandom/interested buyers, you name it.
Pic related. Those familiar with the 80s sci-fi horror flicks should know of this movie, and it's a pity we'll never get the toy of the alien forms from it.
i want a hot toys movie masterpiece figure of takeru sato from the live action rurouni kenshin film.
Xtro, a Brittish SF horror from 1983., infamous for the scene where a woman gets raped and impregnated through mouth by the alien in OP post, and next morning gives birth to a fully grown man, which of course kills her in a gruesome manner.
I would love it articulated, like segmented, the three jaw spike things all on their own ball joint or something and somehow make the inner mouth/tongues possible. A shreiker figure would be cool too, but mostly a graboid
Something tells me you were never around a KB-Toys in the 90's.
Oh cry me a river. They're still really good to this day and it's not like you'll ever see a modern line for them.
I bet you prefer movie remakes over the original movies, don't you?
Comes with a crown and cannonball accesories, as well as a Klaptrap. Cape is real fabric. Uses different eyes to change emotion.
Figuarts/Monsterarts Kaptain K.Rool.
Comes with a diecast blunderbuss, 2 ghost bullets, and a spike ball. Clothing is plastic for the sake of poseability. Eyes are the same deal with King.
Non-shit Poseable Eggrobo.
Comes with laser beam effect, jetpack flames, and creepy/injured glowing eyes face. Also a generic eggmobile.
Diecast Mecha Sonic (not really applicable to any line).
Includes ball form, and closed eyes effect piece. Chest opens to reveal red orb. Fingers are individually poseable. Could also include wrecking ball eggmobile.
Figuarts/Figma Kaiser Greedy.
Comes with black hole, 2 Orblets, 2 Black Orbs, and crazy eyes. Cape is real fabric with wires inside.
>tfw none of this will happen
Figma/Figuarts Skull Man
Comes with skull shield skulls and a Skeleton Joe head to hold Shakespeare style.
A pharaoh man one would be rad as well.
Figma/Figuarts Kalinka (New design)
Comes with ring and heart-eyes face.
They won't license this shit for whatver reason. Which is a shame. I would buy every single Fallout figure.
i would love basically anything from a 1983 sci-fi called spacehunter: adventures in the forbidden zone. the design was fantastic even if the rest of the movie wasnt (became a cult hit later though), lets see, it had steampunk/mad max style pirateships on train tracks....
...almost giger style motorcycles with gatling guns...
...and a biomecha bad guy with huge robo claws (michael ironside believe it or not)...
I can't believe these guys have no figures. Seems like something 3A or ThreeZero or whatever would do.
Victorian industrial sounds way better. Steampunk sounds gay, it has nothing to do with punk ideology or music or anything else. The only good thing about the term steam punk is the term steam, to differentiate it from diesel punk. I think punk could be replaced with fantasy or something.
Good prepainted models/toys of the ships from Babylon 5, particularly Starfuries and White Stars, as well as Legend of Galactic Heroes.
Robot Damashii/HGUC of Victory-era and Wing grunts.
Robot Damashii VOTOMs.
i've wanted one of these since the movie came out (1991).
Something really posable, interchangable faces, maybe some set pieces. It'd be fantastic, having them all look scared, posing them running from a bunch of girl figurines or something.
It's especially weird given how Jason Eisner explicitly said in an interview that those two were inspired by 80s action figures.
Personally, I think they'd be perfect for Funko's ReAction line, maybe also with a licensed Hobo and Drake figure.
Apparently Figma isn't making anymore Hunter X Hunter figures.
>Die-cast chogokin E-102 Gamma
>Any new figures of Battletech mechs
>Die-cast JETTO JAGUA
>Any kind of figure of Madotsuki and the spinoff protagonists
>feckin' NECA Onibaba
I'm a sucker for 90's comics. At least give me a Ladytron.
I'm most disappointed by that because the Kurapica figure was really disappointing and off-model, but mostly I'm bummed that they stopped RIGHT before we got logically Hisoka and Leoreo (who has zero merchandise made of him).
>tfw Sonic toys will always be shitty
>tfw the only E-102 ? we have is some hard to find low quality Resaurus
>tfw if they make another ? figure it will be from Jazzwares
>tfw if they make a good one it will be a $300 statue in a limited quantity from f4f
Life is suffering
I didn't know NECA was making a Dredd but NECA doesn't really ever do 1/12.
I think it's really interesting though that both 3A and Mezco are making 1/12 Dredds using cloth goods.
I mean I will pretty gladly buy both if they're both good. I wonder if Mezco is going to make a bike? I know 3A is.
I wish Hasbro would give us a Shocker Marvel Legends. Could be classic or pic related's design. Either way, it should come with Silvermane's head.
Fucking this. Can someone explain to me why there's never been a high quality figure of Haruko from FLCL? Because I would literally pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for one.
There's the old shitty kaiyodo figure, and the doll. There's also a pretty cool garage kit by funny bunny, the guy who did the Canti who was bought by sentinel.
I would kill to have a figure of Asuraman from the kinikuman series. Don't know exactly how it would be possible to pull of the multiple arms though
Any form of merchandise from Xenogears would be a godsend but especially a MG/RG of Any of the Gears
Just imagine a die-cast Chitauri leviathan.
If I'd had something like that as a kid me and my brothers would have had some slightly more serious injuries growing up.
But the only toy made of these are lego ones.
I'm gonna end up making my own out of papercraft and soda cans eventually, but this is about the extent of good images I can find.
Maybe the avengers artbook can help me out more.
>would kill for just a digital model of one of these suckers
articulated figures along the line of figma or SH figuarts
a figure of Ritsu from K-On during the hotel scene when she's in those cute pjs with her pillow
They seem to have a figure of every possible every outfit.
I'll always have Travis Touchdown for my entries for these threads.
Uhg, but it's hard work getting all the networking and business stuff together. I don't even know where to start researching the proper rates and stuff.
I've only done a couple of small things.
Ah well, I'm intending to open up my general art commissions at some point in the near future anyway, just gonna have to add figures to the list of things.
>just need to get my hands on some more baits so I have examples
Well, traditionally I have had the opposite problem.
>literally almost worked myself to death on a project a couple years ago, have been taking it easy and catching up on personal projects since
Which is a big part of why I'm a little hesitant to get back into it, the work itself is not a very big deal, and I'm pretty diligent if erratic, but figuring out all the costs and budgeting and scheduling, keeping up all the various social media and art galleries, being self-employed is more work than a full time job and a lot less lucrative.
>but I do it because I love it.
But everything with art is a catch 22, if you price too low, good customers will think you're too cheap for a reason, and shitty customers will overwhelm you, if you price too high no one buys from you at all.
Finding a middle ground, especially in varying niche markets is a tricky business and in constant flux. And customizing figures throws in additional supply and demand dynamics that I'm not that well researched on.
I'd settle for John Marston if it has to be more marketable.
>oooh, so sorry
Yeah.. when they release Yang I'm actually gonna drop 140 for the whole set, since there's nothing better. Sculpts are not too bad.. but that plastic they use? Plus they're basically statueshit.
There ya go. I know the picture looks fake but I saw this exact thing at my local comic/toy shop.
>Fuck you I'm going to have to buy these now.
Sure thing happy to help. Enjoy clearing out 140 worth of wallet space for a set of "action figures" that feature maybe one point of articulation while barely being able to keep hold of their weapon.
God would I love somebody to make a Glyos-compatible line of pic related. Would be so excellent.
God. . . this movie gave me nightmares when I was a kid. . .
Life size plasma rifle, needler, and from halo 2 and assault rifle from reach
Decent WW1 German soldier with pickelhaube and gas mask
Decent polish winged hussar
Decent Teutonic Knight figure with horned helmet
Golden hunter from halo 3 odst
Brotherhood of Steel outcast from Fallout 3
Atlas titan from titanfall.
I know some of these exist. but they're all too expensive, cheaply made, or hard as balls to find.
I would do unspeakable things for a good Amaterasu figure. Alas, the game hasn't been relevant in terms of new media for a few years now, and Capcom hates every one of their IPs that isn't Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, or Resident Evil. It doesn't help that the Revoltech line seems to be pretty much dead, as the Revoltech Yamaguchi or Takeya lines probably would've been our best bet for getting her.
6" Scale Doom/Doom II line.
Wave 1: Cyberdemon BAF
Zombie - Head
Shotgun Zombie - Left arm
Imp - Right arm
Pinkie - Left leg
Pinkie Spectre - Right leg
Lost Soul (three pack) - Upper torso
Baron of Hell - Lower torso
Cacodemon - Includes pistol, shotgun, chaingun, rocket launcher, and BFG
Wave 2: Spider Mastermind BAF
Heavy Weapons Dude - Front left leg
Revanent - Front right leg
Arch-Vile - Rear left leg
Hell-Knight - Rear right leg
Mancubus - Body base
Pain Elemental - Left head
Arachnotron - Right head
Doomguy - Includes chainsaw, super shotgun, plasma rifle
Secret Levels Wolfenstein/Grosse Nazi three-pack
Doomguy - Unmasked version w/the head of Daisy, your pet rabbit, and John Romero's Head On A Stick
All the figs have already been announced.
This is not good wave layout, The Zombie and Shotgun Zombie would be repaints and should be split up in different waves (same for pinkie and spectre) and instead of BAF (because BAF sucks and is terrible) You should get carrying health Doomguy heads
besides, you can just give this guy some abs from sculpey and there you go
I'd want the distribution to include the two giant bosses somehow without them being exclusives. Separate large figures a la Universe Galactus and Sentinel maybe?
Also, you do have a point about the zombie and shotgun guy; I'd based the lineup for wave 1 on monsters that were in Doom 1, and the wave 2 for monsters that were specifically added for Doom 2 (not counting the Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind in that division because Doom 2 was an ass about giving us more new bosses).
Heads would be fun, but given that the line only has enough for two waves, some of them would have to be omitted, or it'd have to be three heads a figure or something.
(God mode head is an SDCC thing just because.)
It got a few fans on japan, so, sadly this toku fag will never gey a fig
He would be perfect to pose with Kamen Rider and other toku heroes.
I'd murder for a Rune Factory figure. Any character would be fine, I just need one in my life!
>coloured plastic instead of paint
>custom Adidas life aquatic trainers
Just passing through toy and didnt know if anybody answered this or not but the toy is from the movie Xtro, a B movie thats actually got more quality in it then you would expect from a B movie. Its actually a really good movie over all, its creepy as fuck, that thing you see in ops picture actually face rapes a woman, and he is birthed out of her as a full size human. He used her as a conduit to change back into a human form.
Check the movie out sometime, you wont be disappointed.
I trying to search for a Archer figure found this looks like a generic toy at Walmart. I wished figma or S.H. figuarts would make one but I doubt it.
>Figuarts Kirby and Meta Knight, same joints and magnetic accessories as the Robot Damashii Doraemon
>SOC Daikyojin from Yattodetaman (it would work as an extensive retool of the recent Tryder G7, they have the exact same transformation)
>Monsterarts Jet Jaguar
And, most important:
A subline for Transformers, with G.I. Joe-scaled figures of various human characters from the various series.
So we can have, dunno, Spike, Daniel, Sparkplug, Carly, Chip and Dr. Arkeville.
Bayformer series with Sam, Mikaela, Simmons, Lennox, Cade and others would be obvious.
Then we'll also have other characters like Sari (so we don't need anymore to customize Drossel Figmas).
And the Prime boys.
And maybe an IDW line, with Verity Carlo, Hunter O'Nion and, most important, Whirl's holomatter avatar.
Also SDCC exclusive set of the three kids from BOT.
With alternate weapons, heads, and fatigues, of course.
