Do toy trains count?

As in Thomas the tank engine and stuff like that? I'm not so sure. I was thinking more of the diesel and steam engines running on realistic layouts, but if it's interesting, then why not?

The 'vette police livery is just drool worthy, I love this casting, and the coloring..
Plus the white rims make it pop with accent.. It's not a great as the Hudson Police car, but I'm liking it..a lot. Great add to my police collection

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here

For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

GT Gravity Builder came in. A li'l disappointed with him, folks made him sound like the next king of the combiner-hill to usurp Feral Rex - yeah fuckin' right. The vehicle modes are ace, no complaint there. Robot modes are hit or miss - half of them have pitiful levels of articulation in either the arms or legs. The gun-turret transformation is AWFUL, especially since the shitty sliders end up being either too loose or too tight and refuse to budge.. or refuse to stay. The combiner head just.. dear fuckin' god the kibble flopping around his head-area is an abortion. Scrapper can't stand for shit (as a leg), have to flip the wheels up and hope to god you can get it to stand without the fuckin' knee popping out every time while wiggling it about. A lot of the plastic bits are scary-thin and I don't think they'll hold up over time. Nothing tabs in anywhere for the sake of their robot modes, just flips around and hangs onto the wrist, wew. The fragile warning for things like Long Haul's arms are.. scary when you realize just how fragile those things are, and you have to fuckin' yank on them for transformations. I could go on, just wanted to vent a li'l given how high my expectations were set after what I'd read, versus what I experienced.
>>6324157
Save for the head which I agree could have been better it sounds like you don't have him transformed properly. Mine stands like a champ with no problem. Yeah their are pieces that could/should have tabbed in on the individual bots but, by no means a deal breaker.
>>6324157
Are the robot modes really that bad?
Anyone collect these Vinyl figures for Ultraman, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider etc? Good prices for good character likenesses.
Who clips the tags off and who doesn't? Thinking of clipping mine now I've got a few but my autismo brain is stopping me.
I only got a handful back when they used to come in boxes. Seemed less like you were buying a dog toy.
>>6320983
I have a few. My favorites are Kamen Rider Genm Dangerous Zombie and Kamata-kun.
Not Ultra-related but I found this guy at a Goodwill the other day, apparently it's hard to find.

>SH Figuarts Dragon Ball General
>not Dragon Ball General
Can we just rip off the fucking band-aid already?
God damn.
I haven't bought a Dragonball SHF since the original release Piccolo. What is the best black-haired Goku I can buy? Was there only ever one mold of him? If so, does it still hold up well today?
Is he worth the $200 plus?
Anyone have him and how much did you pay for him?
It's a real fucker to get him posed in my opinion and then apparently his wrist joints snap if you leave the sword held in his hands for long periods of time. That could be complete hearsay but I have seen two or three people say it.
>>6322629
I bought him for the original price and was fairly happy. I wouldn't be too happy at $200+. I guess if you were a mega fan and just HAD to have it you could justify it but it really isn't worth $200 and IMO no figma is.
His shoulders are odd, his cape is a solid piece of plastic so it won't look good in most poses, and as you would suspect, he can't hold his sword one handed very well.
So he's pretty much always slouched forwards dealing with the weight of his cape and sword. Might as well be a statue.
Why does the Oddworld fanbase have to be the way it is? Everyone's eating this up. How do you get this from a gloomy game about extinction, industrial hellscapes, and gross alien freaks?
Bumping with Abe, who is slightly better. Anyone else been waiting for Oddworld toys and is not thrilled with these? Do you think if these do well, they might do something better? I'd even take statueshit if it looked like the game...
There's an Oddworld fanbase?
...And it's big enough to support the selling of plushies?
>>6322091
>>6322178
Funko audience. Never played the games, want this shite for "nerd cred" despite it bastardising the original style.
What are some figures, sets, or entire toylines that you feel don't receive proper recognition?
For me a recent glaring example is Takara's Diaclone reboot. There was some buzz when the line first dropped, and granted the Cosmo Maneuver Type is only a moderate iteration, but to me these sets are beyond god-tier when it comes to marrying premium presentation and open-ended playability.
I feel like part of why they aren't discussed much here is because they don't technically fit in with the TFG (not Transformers IP) or 3PG (made by Takara) threads.
It's also modular as all fuck. And it uses this really unique method of seamless partsforming, where two vehicles plug together and the robot arms pass through from one to the other on a connected track.
>>6318341
It's not underrated, everyone who owns them sings praises about the dia and the suits. No one talks about it because it's retarded expensive for what it is.
But that's actually sacrificing articulation
Its a model kit, who gives a shit?
>>6309145
All toys are model kits, just some people do the work for you.
So the last few times i've ordered from Mandarake I've used DHL cause of the fast delivery, but I'm sick of paying £50 custom charges for the privilege. Anyone in the UK have experience using EMS? Is there a chance of avoiding the heavy fees? Any stories/impressions would be very helpful.
>>6308415

Not UK, but EMS really depends on your local postal service
Did I do good /toy/?
>>6328754
Only you can judge that.
How much did you spend? Will you open them or leave them trapped like OPM?
>>6328754
Do you like it?
Do you think it was worth the money?
If yes to both of these, then yes you did good. Because /toy/'s collective opinion doesn't matter.
>>6328754
For bragging? No.
If under $30, yes.
If you liked the designs, yes.
If you wanted action pose capable figures, no!
