Apparently BBTS updated and cut its 180 day Pile of Loot holding period in half, to only 90 days.

That was literally the only reason I even bothered with them.
38 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
They brought back $4 flat rate shipping. I never bothered with POL anyway, the only advantage was a postage discount and that's cheap now.

Beats their $8 postage shit, fuck I only wanted to order that small toy they ha don sale and they wanted $8 to mail it? That's why I largely avoided them and went to eBay or Amazon.

Now if they'd take half that shit they've had in their warehouses for years and do an actual sale to get rid of it. Sorry but if it didn't sell out at $30, drop it to $20, don't raise it back to full price.
>>
It says you can still cancel items after it goes to your Pile Of Loot for 7 days, but I don't see any ways of doing that, just what to add to the box for shipping. I'm sure some are less than 7 days at the moment.

Plus still says I have 170-181 days till shipping. for the items in there.

Got nowhere to ask till Monday.

Layout wise, yeah the old one was better, except for having thumbnails for the POL page.

what do does /toy/ think of the silent Mary set?
>>

Ugly, overpriced, the only good part are the minifigs and zombie sharks. -5/10
>>
>>6367703
There was one guy on /toy/ a couple weeks back who loved all things PotC and I think even he hated that set. So yeah, it's not great.

A more substantial lower hull would make me like it a lot more. as the deck and everything above the cannons looks well designed.

I'm never getting this toy, am I?

>>
Been using SAL (unregistered) for years. Haven't lost a parcel yet.
>>
>>6367525
Why happened to indicate to you that you aren't getting your toy? I'm in the US and order through Amiami pretty frequently. Every time I place an order on a single piece I use Airmail. I usually have it in hand in a week's time. If you live in some degenerate country like Canada or or the UK, your package may be caught in customs.
>>
>>6367525
Over the past decade I think I've not used SAL like 3 times. You're fine, so long as you're not in some shit hole like Brazil, Mexico, or England.

Hey does anyone own or have owned this figure?
It looks pretty meh, the scale is pretty big and the few reviews I can find are bed to meh, but I'm hurting for a Taiga figure after finishing the series and I don't think the Nendoroid will suffice.
11 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
I have the swimsuit one.

I looks great, don't touch it, it falls apart if you breath on it, fiddly as shit, and loose joints.

It's between Gutto Kuru and the Nendoroid if you want articulated. Otherwise it's statue shit. I got into anime statue shit because of Taiga, there were just not enough options. Figma when??
>>

>Figma when
A boy can dream, maybe next year for the 10th anniversary? [nospoilers]If only[/nospoilers]

But any chance you could take a picture of swimsuit version next to some other figures for scale? The scale is the one thing holding me back right now, but if it's not as big as I think I might go for it.

The knight and orc look decent, if generic, but the elf and "cave fairy" both have a serious case of manface going on.

Alright /toy/ so I recently bought a full set of the 1/6 Medicom Ichi the Killer dolls. All of the Ichi figures have bodysuit rot and both of mine do as well. I've never owned 1/6 scale anything and don't know how to go about fixing the problems:

Some guy fixed Ichi into pic related, but I've been searching the web and can't find a bodysuit that looks like that. The ones I've seen are cloth, or nylon wetsuit material. The one in the pic, a more kevlar or leather looking one, would go much better with the armor. So, any suggestions on where I could find a replacement bodysuit that looks like the one in the pic?

Also; some of his armor, like those panels on his hips, are held on by some kind of adhesive that is also rotting. What could I use that isn't tape or glue, but could hold pieces in place and still be removeable if needed?
10 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>6366305
You're gonna have to commission someone to make you a new suit if you don't have the skills or knowledge. Look around doll forums, lots of folks in that community who make custom outfits.

As for a replacement adhesive that's removable, you might as well go with magnets if you're already modifying the figure anyway. Cut or dremel divots, then glue rare earth magnets into both pieces. Make sure the magnets aren't TOO strong, only just strong enough to hold the armor on, or they'll break the glue.
>>
>>6366305
Do you have a picture of your figure with it's basic armor/gear?
>>
>>6366305
>I've never owned 1/6 scale anything and don't know how to go about fixing the problems:

You can't. That's the unfortunate side effect of early 2000s 1/6 scale figures that used this kind of construction. The early seamless figures have run into the same problem and the newer ones, like Phicen, likely will unless they are maintained beyond letting them sit on a shelf.

For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

So I left the vote up, and both lines won. So:

Frame Arms Group Build

This time the idea is to build any Frame Arms, or Frame Arms Girl kit, and paint and customize it.

The rules are overall pretty simple, the base must be recognizable as FA or FA Girl, other than that there's no limit on what you can do.

Due Date: September 1st

Note: This is a prize build, there will be a prize provided by me, there will also be a mystery prize provided by another anon. That means that to enter, I need WIP pictures submitted before the due date. Simply email me some pictures of you working on it, I don't care at what point, as long as it's possible to tell where your final product came from.

Prize Pack:
MSG Free Style Bazooka
MSG Impact Knuckle
MSG Beast Sword
MSG Assault Rifle #2
Miscellaneous supplies

I'm probably going to add more, but I'll let those be a secret.

Email: [email protected]

I'm also available via IRC and Steam.

So here's the bootleg Spidey I got. Pretty much what I expected.

Bootleg on the left, real one on the right.

The bootleg didn't have as good of an overall paintjob, with some kind of sloppy paint, especially on the head, but the leg did bend slightly more. The pizza also is this almost sticky rubber feeling material which was weird. The neck joint feels like it's a super cheap plastic, but everything else feels alright.

I'd recommend getting it if you can't get a normal one for normal price.

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here
