Well you haven't seen any negative reviews on the Catwoman so there's no need to worry too much yet.

NECA has a had a pretty spotty history of QC and shady factories pumping out subpar product, but have been generally moving in a good direction the last couple of years. I'm a lot more comfortable buying NECA now than I used to be.

Heat treat joints before you move them for the first time on NECA figures and you're fine. That's a blanket statement for all their stuff. If you don't you're in for bad time if it's a subpar QC issue. Lately QC hasn't been a problem with them though.

Keep in mind Neca toys are 20-30 while most other 'collector' quality toys are 50-60 or more. You get what you pay for.

Look up reviews for the Kotobukiya model kit. Many of them feature a lot of photos from all different angles, as well as pictures of the model as it's being built.

Weight will be your biggest problem by far. Bionicle/CCBS ball joints can grant a decent range of motion while still being pretty small in relation to a model of this size, but they're not going to have enough friction to support the weight, so making a clear support pillar would be wise.

Well damn, I thought this was just a custom but apparently it's official.

PAK definitely improved, but they're no way worth their pricetag. Nor are they the greatest figures (weird scale, typically a poor amount of accessories vs. price point, some things still can be improved on.)

Basically do your research and see if the figure is good, and try to get it on sale or something.
