>constantly find rogue one toys at walmart weeks before october 1st
>fucking retarded walmart employees that reek of shit wont sell it to you because of street date
>oct 1 comes and now there impossible to find
Tell me again what the fucking point of street dates are again?
>>5940535
Walmart employee here. Walmart does not care about toys. I saw a bunch of rogue one toys last week and our department manager of toys is a lazy piece of shit that never does anything.
>street date
kek. anyways next time either steal them or realize these are going to be everywhere in a couple weeks.
>>5940535
Kek got the droid from the 6' for $12.89 then they caught on and took off shelves
Sup /toy/. I think im slowly getting into G.I.Joe stuff.
However im mainly interested in "unique" interesting looking characters.
I wasn't interested in this franchise because all i saw were just "regular american soldiers". But lately i keep seeing some really cool stuff that i want just for strange or cool design.
Like for example Voltar. I have no idea what he is (some gunner dude with a pet-vulture How cool is that!), i found him today and instantly bought.
I want more characters like this! Can you recommend me something like that?
>>5940221
also found this - Big Bear - some kind of stereotypical russian. Probably gonna get him too.
Alley Viper looks like fun too
>>5940221
mostly the Cobra guys
You had Raptor a lawyer that dress up as a bird
Croc Master whose outfit was basically crocodile skin and leather who also had a croc pet.
Crystal Ball that was Stephen King related
The Cobra-La Team is about as fucking Unique as you can get

I'm really desperate for a figma of Guts in his modern look since 2004. Has anyone combined the parts from Berserker Amour and BS Guts to make their own custom? How accurate is it?
not mine, but here's one i've seen.
>>5939443
I tried it out, and honestly it looks okay, but a little weird. Like here >>5939453
Guts's skin tone is really dark, which I think fits a lot more with his Black Swordsman figma look, and the dark skin clashes with the matte dark blue-grey colors of the Berserker armor figma. Also Guts is supposed to have some leather straps around his upper body but if that doesn't matter to you then it's fine (also, you would need to paint that white streak of hair, but you probably already knew that).
I really like his lighter skin tone in Berserk Musou and I think it would look even better with a black-colored armor like pic related.
I'm pretty sure we won't get any more Berserk figmas after the God Hand, but I do know that ThreeZero is making a Berserk armor 1/6 Guts figure (though I think it's going to be in the awakened beast form).
>>5939654
Ok. Any idea as to how to give the guy some straps without permanent modification?
Revival of Mugenbine

Oh noiiice. When I found out about mugenbine it was too hard to find, so I'm happy about this.

Okay, how in the world do I clean older figures? They've been in the closet for a couple years and I took them out to find they're all sticky. Tried hand soap, tried dish soap, it helps a tiny bit but not much. Anybody had success with anything?
Thanks!
Cover them in undiluted dish soap and let it sit for a few hours. Avoid getting it in joints that may have metal bits.
That sticky residue is actually the plastic of the figures degrading. You can clean it off, but it will continue to form as the plasticisers extrude toward the outer surfaces.
Hey OP
What toys have the stickiness and do you live in a really hot area?
ITT: Properties you think it's insane they have no/few toys for
How the fuck isn't there a billion DQ figures?
You've never been to Japan have you?
U knoe?
cos I knoe
Bandai are such quitters
So I live in a very stupid country, but I have a forwarder in USA (Miami); and Im starting to get into videogames figures/bishoujos/figmas. Which are the best websites I can buy from to send them to my USA forwarder ? (Websites where I can pay the taxes, delivery, fees when ordering, since Im not directly receiving them). Thanks anons
You african or something? Most jap online stores ship around the world no matter the country, unless you explain to us why you need (or think you need) a forwarder it's hard to recommend anything

Im actually from Paraguay (South America) - (Not Uruguay, they sound alike)
What does /toy/ use to take images of their figma's, models or scaled figures for background? A lot of time i want to take pictures of models I've painted, or just some neat figma shots, but they always come out crappy cause it's usually on my desk or kitchen table or something. I'd like to take some pictures against like an all white or all black background, but I'm not sure what to buy/use for it. What do you guys do for these? Something where I can swap colors would be nifty as well.
AKA I don't want all of my pictures to show my computer, a random cookie jar, flowers, or whatever crap I have on the table at the time. I want the focus to be on the figma/model..not it's surroundings
>>5935817
Depending on what kinda figures you're taking pictures of, nature can be your greatest asset. Natural light, proper settings, adds an element of realism that helps bring your toys to life, so to speak.
>>5935929
Do you recommend taking pictures outside?
Do I?
>>5935743
Nope.
>>5935743
Yes, trooper. Take the shot. She is a criminal and an enemy of the Republic. Good soldiers follow orders.
>>5935743
TROOPER, YOU ARE PART OF THE 501ST, YOU TAKE THAT SHOT OR GENERAL KENOBI WILL HANDLE YOU PERSONALLY
i have some 1/12 model kit accesories but i was late to realise what the few figma i have can't sit.
Do you some cool figure who can do this ?
>>5935636
Just take off her dress.
Then there's the other Figma that come with a sitting legs part like the Girls und Panzer ones.
Yes
>>5935636
Yes.
Figs with dresses/skirts are absolutely shite for most poses, I try to avoid them.

Was gonna post this on the figma thread but I think it'll be more appropriate if I make a separate thread for this since it also about Nendoroids and Static figures.
Some lines that piqued my interest:
>Bandai has content that we do not have, so they are able to create a lot of figures with their line.
I'm guessing one of those is the Sailor Moon line?
>My generation and even the younger generation that work here love Zelda. That is the main reason why we wanted to make figures from this title.
I think this answers >>5935203 and >>5935320 from the figma thread. hoping now for a figma Ganondorf!
>We here all love Nintendo game content and are huge fans.
Guess it means we will see more Nintendo characters being made into figures/figma/nendo in the future.
>We are good friends with Sentinel as well, so we will continue to work with them on mecha and science fiction titles but the titles are still a secret
I wonder what project is that?
>I am very much liking our Card Captor Sakura scale figure that we have recently announced
I guess Aki likes CCS. Now that Syaoran is being made into a figma/Nendo, is it too much to ask if Meiling will have the same treatment?
>>5935445
Here is Forbes article about Bandai
>If we are looking competitors or even collaborators, we look at people like Neca as a competitor in the same category but we don’t look at traditional toys in the same way, as the product specification differs.
>we don’t view companies like Hasbro or Mattel as being in the same category as us.
Hmm, interesting.
>In Japan, companies like GoodSmile would be our main competitors. Not Takara Tomy, but Goodsmile.
And this is how figma/S.H. Figuarts Sakura, Bruce Lee, Ryuki/Dragon Knight turned out to be because they kept one upping each other.
>We also consider companies like Hot Toys as a competitor
Huh, I wonder why, since Hot Toys caters to 1/6 scale.
>In terms of events, if you look at Wonder Festival in Japan, which has its roots in the garage kit community and it’s a unique event, but ComicCon is an ideal outlet for us
So that's why they rarely go to Wonfes.
>in recent years they’ve secured a number of Western licenses too and turned their attention to building their presence in that market as well.
Guess more Western license figures to come.
>“Our top five brands in the US are probably Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Super Mario, Star Wars and Power Rangers. Godzilla is also very big too.”
But I thought they stopped making Sentai/Power Rangers S.H Figuarts< unless they mean the upcoming SOC Megazord and Legacy Zords?
>“Though there have been other areas where we have had a difficult time, Alien vs Predator with Neca. We had diecast and better articulation but at the same time their level of sculpt was really good. So there are areas we sometimes need to regroup and think how can we do this differently and succeed.”
Wow Neca beat Bandai for once(feel free to correct me). Never thought I'll hear/read that non the less from Bandai themselves.
>We also do big surveys at all our events, in some ways that’s one of the primary reasons we do the events.
How I wish I could attend those events.

>Guess it means we will see more Nintendo characters being made into figures/figma/nendo in the future.
No it doesn't. It just means they want to do more if they get the chance. They probably will but it's not a confirmation.
>Huh, I wonder why, since Hot Toys caters to 1/6 scale.
They kind of go into that in the interview, basically because they also do figures with price ranges in the Hot Toys category. They don't view Hot Toys as a competitor for their Iron Man Figuarts and the like.
>we don’t view companies like Hasbro or Mattel as being in the same category as us.
Western toy collectors on suicide watch.
You knoe who needs a figure
>>5935251
Nope, don't even know who that is
Stay in school, kid
>>5935257
Don't you know that's the ultra-cool bald soldier protagonist in "Vidya Flavor of the Month 2: Revelations"?
He's going to be the next big thing since Mario or Sonic!
I think Rainbow 6 siege is actually getting figures soon

>decide to pose some figures on my desk for once
>cat comes over and snaggletooths them so they fall over
anyone know this feel
No, I have dogs
>>5932650
I only pose my figures with stands on my desk OP. my cat thankfully moves carefully around them anyway
My cat only once leaned on them but he didn't find it very comfortable so he never did it again.
And he doesn't take interest in things that don't move so I generally trust him around my toys.
