OP here, pic related is an ongoing process to improve my 1/16 M4 Sherman. New turret is assembled and installed, I did away with the airsoft function. Elevation and traverse works now. Next thing I need to do now is to replace the hull MG and caliber .50 as they look pretty bad. Also need to replace the vision port glass.
Should I even bother weathering the hull?

I did some oils, even if I wouldn't recommend that technique in such rough surfaces, and also tried to dirty the surface with them. Like dirty rain and dusty air, but ended too red and noticeable so I'm not too sure if I achieved what I wanted. I'll do the washes and then think if I should make it more dark or try to remove it (a bit difficult now). Or maybe some anon can give me an idea, what I'm trying to do is an early autumn in the country side, so some fighting in towns but mostly in the open fields and forests. I found to do some wet effects and rain marks, also mud for the tracks but not too much I think.
>>5930748
I use them and are really good. I must say that my favorite are tamiya acrylics, but for "new" colors or the ones that aren't in their range I use amig. Perfect to airbrush without thinner if you want, but when brushed I had mixed results. I don't think they are like normal Vallejo, more similar if you want a comparison to the air range I guess. And for the price they are the cheapest here, 2,30€, compared to tamiya (2,8-3,6€), and the others so I would highly recommend them
>>5930903
I wouldn't bother to make complex weathering. I would do a filter, pin washes and some dot oil. Maybe some dusting in the flat surfaces and if you want a bit of rust and scratches. But if you are going to use it the dust and shit will come naturally, also driving it around would destroy fake mud and other weathering

I think the figma Touhou girls might fit also since they are technically girls with magic powers.

Personally I want an Akazukin Chacha line. Been seeing it included on Bandai's online questionaire for quite sometime now, hopefully they make one.

Upcoming figma magical girl about to be released is MKR's Hikaru Shidou.

They did a lot of stuff around the OVA era, so Getter 1, Shin, Neo and New.

Personally, I think their other molds look a bit aged, but Shin is still really incredible for being 10 years old at this point.

I still think it looks better than the SRC, even if the articulation suffers a bit. It also weighs about a solid pound.

Welcome to the Acid Rain General! Acid Rain is a line of 1:18 scale figures and vehicles set in a reality where the use of nuclear weapons in World War II lead to the irradiation of a large majority of the planet. Nations quickly reformed and now their respective governments fight over the slowly dwindling resources like farmable land and clean water.

Transforming vehicles! Gritty paintwork! Coffee! Everything a growing boy needs!

Anyone know how to fix joints that are so tight they make creaking sounds? I've seen someone suggest something called shock oil for loosening Figuarts hips with the same problem, but I've never done it myself, and these figures both squeak like crazy.
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>5961564
This might sound weird but a dab of dish soap, then more as needed, and after working the joint it should stop. I've done this twice, once with d-arts megaman and some other figure, the squeaking went away and the joint remained tight.
>>
>>5961564
Yeah, I went with Shock Oil. Apparently it's a lubricant that won't damage the plastic. You can find it in stores that sell remote control stuff like RC Cars etc. I'm currently using something that has a viscosity of 300.

Also, you don't want to apply a lot of it. Its the opposite of tightening joints. You'll want to, for instance, dip a toothpick in, then wipe it off, and then apply the toothpick to the creaky joint.
>>
>>5961564
Hey Webs, yeh, either works, but the dish soap is far more accessible and there's more room for error.

Where can I please buy this Luke Skywalker Force Awakens figure?

Are there any import sites you'd recommend NOT ordering from or steer clear of entirely? I've been sticking my nose into other places other than amiami and hobbylink, etc, and I always wonder if they're places to avoid or what.

Hey new here. I just got pic related and he's awesome except for the fact that one of his wing tips on the side of his head snapped. I have the piece but I'm new at this so how would I even go about repairing it? I'm pretty sure glue wouldn't work right?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>5959065

Superglue might work, just make sure to use it sparingly and let it cure overnight. Use a toothpick to spread it evenly on the sides that needs to stick together, don't just squeeze it onto the actual piece.

Well I'm back /Toy/ I doubt anyone truly missed me. I was away for a while and couldn't really post anything,so I had to wait on doing so and in the waiting the little
haul I had in the beginning just grew and grew.
being that I was travelling I couldn't really do anything with the stuff I bought while I was on the road also I was buying stuff off Ebay and having it shipped home so it would be there when I got back.
I had returned home around the first of September. I had then had to go again from say mid sept until around the first of October and have been home since.
So this basically is everything that I ended up purchasing this Summer and into the Fall (April-September) I had the pictures on the
computer since the for about a week now and just kept saying "I need to post that" but every time I tried to set time to do it something else would come up so here it then finally, better late then never.
