I was looking into buying one, but I don't like that you have to have the app open for Cozmo to function. I'd be more interested if there was a mode where he would just do his own thing without the app.
>>
>>5988992

My coworker bought one. It's way more advanced than I thought. It learned his name and what he looked like. When cozmo turned to me, he got angry and tried to swat at my hand with his arm thingy. Once he was successful, he giggled maliciously. He can level up when you complete the daily activities too. Pretty cool bot, but he's pretty expensive.

Got the Converge Tallgeese last, after watching mandarake listings for a while and waiting for it to appear in the same store as another item I wanted. I think I'll be done when I get the 0083 stuff and the OYW Zeon MS that are kind of expensive now (and will probably get a pack release like Op-V).

You should jump into the RD thread, for some reason Converge can be discussed there without issue.

last ones i got were the 2 astrays, im still hoping we get some from G Gundam
>>

>for some reason
Cause the RD thread is pretty damn comfy. Plus it's generally viewed as a thread for any Gundam/Mecha toys while the Gunpla/Plamo thread focuses more on the model kits.

So I recently bought the Revoltech Jizai okimono samurai skeleton from amiami, and the katana is all bent out of shape, as shown in the pictures. I tried the warm water/ hairdrier technique, but it always seems to bend back into the bent position. I was wondering whether anyone on /toy/ has any advice; is thera a way to contact Kaiyodo to ask a replacement? Would they even bother answering back to me? or am I just wasting my time and should just deal with it? that is if they will bother or am i just

>>5985051
after multiple anons misused amiami's replacement policy, all they do now is refund 500 yen to you and i've never heard kaiyodo replacing anything
so yeah, you're pretty fucked
>>
>>5985051
>warm water
Mostly familiar with plastic and resin miniatures, but shouldn't the water be close to boiling? You run it or dip it in extremely hot water for 2-5 seconds (your sword is thin, so closer to 2-3) to get it pliable. Then you have a few seconds to position/brace/correct the shape, and then put it under cool water to get it to quickly set itself in the new position.

Warm water isn't going to get it hot enough to overcome the improper shape memory, which is why it keeps coming out bent when you use warm water or a hairdrier.
>>
>>5985096
boiling it can work, but it always depends on the plastic time.
Rubbery kind will return to its original shape.

Hard plastics are more iffy.
Some can deform and stay that way.
OP just seems to need to keep the shape in line. The best way to "remold it" is by sticking it inbetween a book in the shape you want it. you don't even need to boil it beforehand. Just a lot of pressure, so keep piling books or use a vice or weights.
Obviously, you only want the blade being flattened, not the handle or guard.

Are there any cool starship/fighter toys and/or display models that aren't model kits that need to be painted? To be honest, I'm really looking for detailed display pieces but don't know where else to ask, but high quality toys would be cool too. Preferably not Star Wars related, but anything cool is welcome.

Well since a lot of the video game classics were all about space combat, the Shooting Game Historica collection comes to mind. A bit hard to find at a decent price though, thanks to its limited production.

I think where the figure suffers is in the face sculpt. I appreciate the amount of detail that went in it, but it doesn't translate in figure form. It just makes him look like he has duck lips. The should of made them not stick out so much. Should of been little sculpt and mostly paint. Would of made it much better.

Do you keep your boxes or do you throw them out?

Personally I usually take the figures out of the box and store the box somewhere else.

Figures on the shelves and desk, boxes in the closet

Throw them away. I don't buy things if I think I'm going to sell them later and I'd rather store the accessories in something that takes up less space.

Cardboard attracts roaches. Throw the boxes away, dont be gross.

Is there any place where I could sell nendos/figmas locally in the US?

I kind of need money really quickly. I doubt they give a fuck about these things in pawn shops around here.

Discounting the figures, what are the differences between Mega Bloks and Lego bricks today? What about in the past?

LEGO has better quality plastic and quality control in general. MB tend to get stress marks in the plastic, often have a few missing/deformed, and can get stuck together for pretty much good. But I will say MB CS isn't terrible and they were far better than Kre-O blocks.

LEGO tends to give a shit about everything. I had a missing head in a blindbag. They sent me a new one and a giftcard for the problem. Almost never a missing pieces, though. The bricks connect and unconnect very well. Never any stress marks on the plastic.
>>
>>5986238
It's really just quality. And while I'll give MB credit for really taking steps forwards in the last decade, they still feel cheap and break much easier.
>>
>>5986238
the MB bricks are softer plastic and the brick connection is weaker and uneven at times
