ITT we show our recent toy purchase and the cost.

My most recent purchase was a NECA Chell figure. Got lucky and won her in a bid for $20.50 + $8.00 shipping MOC.

>>
>>6123010
Is that a good price for her? I have her and Gordon both, don't even know where they are anymore.
>>
>>6123067
Yeah she goes for $50+ MOC and Gordon is usually $70+ MOC even pre-owned they go for great prices.
>>
I bought a KBBMP10-V Optimus and a Revoltech Raiden.
The Optimus is amazing.
My Raiden isn't here yet but I am pretty excited.

Optimus was $53.
Raiden was $70.
I overpaid for the Raiden but it was the cheapest one I could find.

>>6123010
That is not a good deal.
I got her for $12 on clearance and still feel ripped off.

Another year of RDs has gone by! What were your favorite releases/purchases? Any disappointments?

My top 3 RD moments:
1.) Patlabor RDs! And the first release is not only excellent, but they actually included the command car! Very excited for Brocken later this year.
2.) The ANIME line as a whole! I thought I wouldn't like this line with it's more animated style, but the sculpts strike a great balance between being animated yet sharp, and the figures themselves were excellent.
3.) Ex-S RD, finally! With more Sentinel releases in the pipeline, it's a good time to get Katoki'd.

Bottom 3:
1.) Ingram Unit-2 being a web exclusive AND requiring extra hoops to jump through in order to get the command car, making it nearly impossible for us to secure the command car. Very frustrating.
2.) No release info for tons of teased prototypes such as ECOAS Jegan and Blue Destiny. Nothing new when it comes to Bandai, but still stinks.
3.) Rising prices. RDs are getting larger and/or more complicated, but the pricing seems to be outpacing the advances of the figures. I can usually ignore price tags for things I like, but some buys left me grimacing (ie nearly $100 for Barzam Custom).

>>6114327
Loved the shots in the last thread, anon. How sturdy do the Dodai's wings/tail feel?

Can we get an accessory thread going for those who collect accessories for their collection.

Just recieved this set of 1/12 electric guitars off Rakuten which came with some terrible gum.

Anyone have the latest releases of Little Armory guns such as the Mortar and the Gatling gun. Looking to grab them soon.

That's so fucking funny.

Incidentally, I just went to their site and I swear I'm not just trying to be negative, but I didn't like a single one of the "fan photos" using their backdrops. They are uniformly rather dull and boring looking, most have very poor composition, and they have a distinct ACBA flavor to them somehow. They are also REALLY abusing dutch angles.

Looking for suggestions here.

How does /toy/ store their toys?
In particular, how does /toy/ store loose figures that are not currently on display?
21 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
All of my loose guys are wrapped in bubble wrap in a medium sized tote, accessories are in a small box so they don't get lost. It's not the best or ideal, but I ought to be moving soon, so I don't mind too much.

If I still have the box those are all in a cardboard box in my room, so they don't get musty or anything.

Is that a new line and is about Votoms only? I don't care about Votoms but I would definitely care about a new line of transforming figures based on old licenses, especially one made by TT.
>>
Ohh, is this the line that produced that Fatty that HLJ always has in their sales? If so, I'm definitely with it. I know the actual scales are wildly different, but that Fatty was just about Assault Kingdom size, so I would pose it together with my AK figs. Pretty good articulation, too. I'd definitely get more of these. Especially if they do a Brutishdog and/or Bloodsucker.

In fact, while we're talking Votoms, why isn't there more Bloodsucker merch in general? It's such a good fucking design. I would just about kill for a 1/20 kit of it.

Are their any codes to get the slash figure on the box. Also, why are these things so fun, even though their supposed to be "art peices" that you shouldnt play with?
24 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>6145146
Because their proportions are cute, they have nice accessories, and they appear to have decent articulation for what they are.

That being said, this is the first time I've seen them, and I too would like a Slash. I still have my 1980s version from when I was a kid. Though I lost all his accessories except his belt and sai.
>>
>>6145146
My only issue with these is the price tag, they're $12+tax for a blindbox figure, outside of the price these look like cool little desk toys.

They're basically as quality as those chibi Figma whatevers, so they're well worth the price.

Also, they sell exclusive box sets if you don't want to go through blind boxes. They were pretty cheap for a while too, but i don't know about now.

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here
>Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection for any offer/deal
