Why respond?
Where, for you, did the commercialization of "nerd" culture go wrong?
It hasn't, it's just slightly more prevalent that before and all you autistic fucks can't handle it.
>>6485752
When the toy stores in my country carried more Star Wars Force Awakens perfume sprays, childrens birthday party kits, 30cm dolls and quarter face masks than actual action figures.
Lego Star Wars is only so big in non-US countries because it's figuratively the only Star Wars toy you can get without having to search for it online on weird comic shop style sites.
>>6485752
>nerd culture
You seriously have some manning up to do.
Are there more toys from this series? What's it called?
those eyes and little hands/fabric of the fur specifically make me think it's one of the newer ty
plushies
though i've never seen one with clothing before, so they're probably special!
>>6485709
it's a yoohoo and friends plushie
>>6485876

Thanks!

Post those times you got into a property way too late, only to find the available merch way overpriced.
Like related: Only recently got into the masterpiece that is Vanquish thanks to the new PC port...only to see the PAK Gideon is going for 150 +
Really into the dudes design and character, it's so comical and the epitome of Japanese cooldude tropes that I feel like I need it on muh shelf.
Motherfucker has Jet thrusters on his legs for sliding on the ground, shit is unreal.
10/10
I may be drunk
Plz forgive
It's PAK so they probably peddled it for 100$ anyways. 150$ isn't that much of a slowpoke tax
>>6485472
MOTUC is a big one.
Most of the ones I want are over $50 now.
Also Polynians.
Vanquish is fucking rad by the way.
Hey /toy/, what's the best place to go in Disneyworld for cool toys?
Already hit up the Japan pavilion in hopes of finding KR shit but couldn't find anything good aside from some Ghibli stuffed toys
>Paying a $100 ticket to overspend on toys you can just buy online
>>6484821
Family trip. I just want to know if there were any cool toys I could only get here while I'm down
>>6484807
I think the Gazelle doll is not in the online stores, try to find it...
What is your favorite twisty puzzle? I have ~20 cubes, and I'd like to expand my collection.
OP again. Does anyone know the name of the two cuboids with white faces on the top?
>>6484302
Yes, they're call trash and shit because that's exactly what they are. Trashy shit. Your collection is nothing more than the basest of pleb tier beta cubes that any speed cuber would laugh at.
Just look here at my latest purchase. The Maxtron Picasso Cube ver 3.0. Made of 10 diffrent rare earth metals and titanium ball bearings. This thing slides like buttah when I speed cube it. (Best time: 1.23 seconds. Beat that.) Sure it cost me $300 on Mandrake, but it sure beast all of those crappy plas-cubes that you have that slide pieces together like sandpaper. Of course I bought the Picasso to fuck around with. When I'm attending competitions, I bring my Hy-Jan Titanium Mx Cube and let all the other competitors get jelly as move my cube like liquid.
If you want to be anywhere close to being a pro speed cuber, then dump the plas-cubes and get serious. Buy yourself a quality metal cube or get BTFO when you enter your first competition, kid.
>>6484327
Don't tell me what to fucking do. Those metal pieces of recycled shit ain't worth 10$.
They're called Awesome Little Green Men. Even though there are blue ones. And women.
codes on the bottom of the boxes:
0562472-Private Romeo
0762259-Sgt.Major Warhead
0369159-Corporal Echo
Here's a couple more. I didn't realize there were codes on the boxes when I opened them.
>>6483522
I wasn't sure where the "men" are from looking at the thumbnail. Jeez, this is quite a severe approach to the chibi style, looks rather off-putting to me.
I need a figure that is like the following images... I would greatly appreciate help finding one, preferably between 5-10 inches tall, and not terribly fragile.
>>6481176
>>6481176
>not terribly fragile.
most the stuff you want are not designed for american hamhands
another.
>>6481179
dude, I mean SHF level of durability, I have some HG gunpla and it's fine, but hollow... so that would be fine, I don't meant for kids and durable to like, lift a leader class transformer.
Hey guys.
Just got my hands on an old Mark 1 Zephyr pedal car to restore. Just wondering if anyone knows how I could tell if it's Cyclops or Triang?
Help!
Very cool find, would like to see it restored
Does anyone remember what city anon found that toy outlet in Europe that was selling 20-30 year old toys like Mighty Max, TMNT vehicles like the Foot Cruiser, and what-not?
Is it still around?
>>6480006
I second that emotion
>>6480006
Wasn't that in the UK?
>>6480068
It definitely wasn't the UK.

>>6478517
shut up, it's awesome
>>6478517
can you put your... "stuff" inside those lips? I can see it as a fantasy sextoy
>These finger puppet monsters were once quite common, originating in the 50’s, until the original molds used to create them actually broke by the early 2000’s. Apparently only one set of the molds existed and only one factory was still making them, according to Archie Mcphee, the last place to have been distributing them at the time.
>>6477697
At some point however they WERE modified, or imitated, into full-bodied dinosaurs you can still find today
I remember these, but I'm pretty sure I had the shite knockoffs. My preschool/kindergarten had a fundraising fair every year with 10/$1 tickets you could use at games. The prizes were the cheapest crap possible, but I can home with a bag full of precious plastic garbage every year for several years.
These are probably the same as the 80's knockoffs.
You ever think of getting rid of everything and just starting over?
>starting over
Nope, but I do think about purging all the time.
>>6477308
Purge figures when?
>>6477308
I did, back when I was buying things just to buy them. I ended up with a bunch of stuff that I didn't care about, a lot of flavor of the month stuff. I kept fantasazing about selling everything or giving it away or starting over. Then one day i had to move and packing stuff I realized how much stuff was bought because I felt like buying something or because people was talking about it or pure false nostalgia, so I sold almost everything. It felt so good seeing the clutter dissapear little by little.
Now I've managed to collect the line 'm actually interested in, and if for some reason I buy an unrelated figure, it stays on the desk. If I haven't kept fiddling with it for a month, I sell it at cost, regardless of any increase in price.
Honestly, the best thing you can do is buy what you actually like, no impulse purchase, no "I don't want to leave the con empty handed" purchases. Stuff you really like. And keep selling, stuff you no longer want, or to purchase stuff you do want. The worst thing that can happen is for your collection to feel like a burden. You should be enjoying your toys, not fantasizing about selling them.
Is there any one who is colecting 1/6 action figures from dragon models or dragon in dreams?
>>6476931
love Dragon 1/6, been collecting since the early days but it's officially dead in the 1/6 scene. more of a fan of the earlier figures, the newer ones like the pic you posted have a pasty completion. R u new to this?
>>6482715
Dragon or DML brand is dead in the 1/6 military scene unfortunately even though there are still a lot of old fans like myself out there and glad to see new fans like yourself getting into them, i have to say though ebay prices are actually very high.
ITT: Characters that you feel should get a figure
This guy immediately comes to mind
My collection needs the true symbol of justice!
