How do you guys feel about the artfx+ starwars statues?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>6151227
I feel like they're statues, and therefore /toy/ does not care.
>>
>>6151227

I like them, cheap ways to get the best-looking version of a character. Although they aren't articulated I do like that the troopers and such come with an assload of optional parts.
>>
>>6151227
They're pretty nice looking and it seems like they're on sale often but I can never bring myself to buy one

Check the numbers, three figures so far in January... That's three more than 2016's January.

With all the new fate anime's coming it would only make sense that we'll see even more.

Pray for Lancelot figma

I want a Lancelot figma, but he's completely irrelevant right now, what makes you think they're going to release one now?

Expect Nero anime version and Sakura with possible reissue of Medusa for the Heaven's Feel movies and that's it.

B O I

Ever heard of Fate Apocrypha
>Mordred figure
>Siegfried figure
>>
>>6151009

Yeah, Iheard of Apocrypha even before it was considered to be made as a light novel series, back when it was a project for an online RPG.

Now go look for a released Type-Moon figma that isn't a female, a highly popular character or attached to a recent videogame or anime adaptation, I'll be waiting.

Seems like men never grow up when it comes to Lego.
Anyone else got pics of their amazing Lego purchases?

I'm 38. What you bought, a very normal car, is infinitely more normal than what I buy myself.

My room's too dark to take pics, and I'm too tired right now anyway. But I can tell you in the last two years I bought several Creator sets of the store variety - Grocery/Toy store, Cafe/Bike shop, Camper van, tree house, beach house and the $200 Parisian restaurant. Additionally, I have two sets from Star Wars Rebels - a TIE and an A wing I think it is? Then some knights sets, the castle and one with a dragon

Which K-S20 figure is better:
Black series or SH Figuarts?
26 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
figuarts has better articulation and features, plus higher build quality, but is missing some paint detail the black series has, like the paint chipping. Black series is also larger.

I'm just buying a figuarts and adding the paint damage myself.

I second this. Building the Lego one is fun too.

What's the deal with modern Lego sets not including proper base plates that extend beyond the buildings?

Lego is creatively completely dead. It's just Star Wars and some stupid clusterfuck sets.

Why waste the time with unique pieces for one set instead of churning out another 5 Star Wars sets?

For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

***Non-Gundam Group Build***

So this is pretty straightforward, build something that isn't Gundam. I literally do not care what it is, if it's not Gundam it counts (and just to get this out of the way, Bandai is fine). I do not require full paint jobs this time either, as I know the vast majority of people here build Bandai and that's it.

This is also not a prize build, but a regular group build.

I agree. If you like the build for this figure, K2SO is pretty good too.

My only gripe with the K2SO build is the action feature, but like, if you mess around with the build, I'm sure there's a way to work the gimmick out. I'm just lazy to fiddle with mine at the moment.

Ironically, I do kind of want to get a bonkle set to give my Grievous a spinning shoulders gimmick.

Hello everybody. Hopefully, this section will help me
Look carefully at this picture. Damn, this dude from Berserker.
And I very much want a him. He is not sold separately. With this is a problem I turn to you.
Do you know the services or people who can do it to me (I mean, make a statuette on my order)
Exactly like in the picture (or like in a manga) plastic, or something like that
Or who knows someone, who have it is? I'm his damn much want. And I beg your pardon for my English.

I do collect gi joes but its not like they make realistic ctus and CS looking terrorists like the sas, gs9s, seals, phoniex, leet crew, etc.

Arent those overpriced? Like 200+ dollars? Im more interested in 3.75 in
>>
>>6146873
Yeah complete figures are 200+ and accessories for them can cost 10~30 individually but their range is wide enough for you to replicate specific soldier looks. If Joes and Marauders and customizing them can't satisfy you enough then that's pretty much the $$ you got to pay.

Bandai's fault. Released too late when everyones interest already wained or moved on to something more popular.

Final product inferior to prototype in everway. Shitty Face options, gummy sculpt. Missing parts and options from the original prototype. Shit didnt even come with a laughing or smiling face which Master Asia is known for. Bandai fucked up and has no right to blame anyone but itself for the failure of that figure.

Don't you have a Container Store near you?
>>
Slightly related. I've being designing some acrylic stands to lasercut myself. Have thought about using finger joints like in the picture to allow for me to swap them out for varying lengths and heights depending how the display is. Was trying to keep it all doable through just a lasercutter as opposed to welding the pieces today.

Curious if anyone tried similar or has any tips to improve it.

Can someone here explain to me why they're selling toys based off the Power Rangers from when I was a kid!? They're new toys, too! Someone went and made toys based off a Power Rangers series from over 20 years ago!

Because it's still popular, nostalgia is a powerful force, theres still brand new MMPR comics featuring the original team that just came out, etc etc.
>>
I can't tell you how many times I've had to suppress the urge to buy that ridiculous Goldar toy on the bottom shelf there.
>>
>>6142586
Because us oldfags who have kids put the original series on for our kids and get them in on it too...based on the aforementioned nostalgia.

> Recommend for mature collectors. The McFarlane's Monsters line continues in 2004 with Series 3! This line represents a twisted new take on "Faces of Madness". This set of 6 individually packaged action figures includes: Billy The Kid, Rasputin, Vlad The Impaler, Elizabeth Bathory, Atilla The Hun, Jack The Ripper. Figures are approximately 7 inches tall. (Subject to change).

> The third series of the McFarlane's Monsters action figure line focuses on the past: A historical - if artistically fictionalized -- look back at some of the human race's most notorious blood-letters and miscreants. Incredibly detailed and fully accessorized, McFarlane's Monsters 3 gives new meaning to the term monster.
