Will this be the next toy that American fat weebos jerk it to? Next mlp maybe?
>>6152499
Too late. I don't think it'll be as big, but people I'm in a doll group on facebook with are going crazy about them. Most are grills, though. Haven't seen any guys with them yet.
They just look like scaled up versions of those shopkins dolls

No new toys 'till march edition.
So the last few new releases out of China are coming in this week, then we have the long haul until March. What are you hoping to see after CNY?
Old Thread >>6132451
My impossible dream is more Beast Wars stuff, primarily non-show characters and Transmetals.
Also more stylized figures like Striker Manus, and Japanese G1 stuff like Masterforce figures with articulated Masters.
>>6146157
>What are you hoping to see after CNY?
We'll never get it but I want a mtmte Whirl and an oversized RTS style Lugnut.
Anyone here into Kinkeshi?
>>6144204
I'd love basically any of the 80s/90s videogame ones (especially the Rockman ones) but they're so expensive.
>>6144211
Also, isn't 'Kinkeshi' specifically the Kinnikuman ones? I am under the understanding that just keshi is what all the erasers are called.
>>6144217
I couldn't tell you lol, theses are just some Batman figs I found done in a Kinkeshi style.
Discuss furbies.
Favorite type?
Favorite generation?

this fucking snuff film
>tfw a friend of mine has 23 of them (but I think some of them are the plastic Happy Meal ones)
I used to have a green one with a mohawk when I was little, I still remember it had a pretty distinct plasticky smell. I miss when kids in my school would all tell these crazy stories about their Furbies coming to life and doing horrible things.
Anyone up for a wrestling figures thread? Because I need an excuse to talk about how fucking awesome these Retro figures are.
This is my favorite kind of mass market action figure. Nice and stocky and durable for maximum play value.
>>6141190
Wut. I'm actually old enough to remember the original Hasbro figures and no, no I didn't want those back.
>maximum play value.
For wrestling figures maximum play value is in articulation (to pose in moves) and accessories. I can't accept anything less than a mattel elite or the import stuff.
>>6141190
I see how they look retro-ish, but I wouldn't be fooled. For some reason modern toy designers just can't nail the look on any 'retro style' toy.
Anyway, that Warrior looks nice.
Put me in for a Vader, Big Boss man, Macho, Hogan, Paul Bearer, Iron Shiek, and Road Warriors.
I picked up Owens the other day and it's pretty cool. The sculpt looks a lot closer to his body type than any other Mattel figure, plus the powerbomb action is sick. I've been powerbombing tnis old bendy Goldust all week.
Galoobs are the best wrestling toys ever btw
Post your own or inspiration.
Ill dump what I have saved.
Also a question, what is a good round light to stick on display cabinets? I want to get ones that are fairly thin but also hopefully battery operated. If I have to go coorded, discuss best ways for cable management?
Which toy company has the best chances of releasing a Buckaroo banzai action figure?
I could see figma or figuarts releasing one as part of their random and wacky lineup.
>>6155124
It's not mainstream enough for Figuarts/TN to care, and it's not Japanese enough for Figma/MF to care.*
*in the sense MF like making western properties, and wacky niche properties, just not wacky niche western properties.

I was trying to build a human sized robot for last thread but ended up turning into something MFZ scale instead.
Finally made a blue Gsquad Mech to finish my Team off!!!
>>6153571
This thing is basically buildable with 2006-era parts. It looks like an old creator mech.
Neat!
not sure if this is the "go to" board for this question, apologies if I'm being garbage
I'm looking for an affordable crane machine,
do you guys know any good marketplaces or sites for this kind of business?
my budget goes around 800$ - 2000$
It's an obscure question, but you're in the right place as far as I'm concerned.
Beats me where you'd get one, but what I'll say is that it is a shame we don't get more threads like this, with people looking for pinball machines and cranes and such.
>>6153251
I think some stand-alone arcade parlors have a warehouse where they repair and sell arcade machines. you can ask them for or they can lead you to one. i know a place near my school
>>6153251
I usually see these in grocery stores and Walmart lobbies, places like that. What that means, is some vending company pays them to allow the crane games to be set up there.
I would recommend contacting one of the grocery stores that has one, to get a lead on said vending company.
If the vending company won't sell you one in your price range, maybe they can tell you who the manufacturer is, so you can look into getting one direct.
Food for thought.
I know it's early, but I was curious is anyone here is thinking of going to HasCon on Sept 8-10. Tickets and info are lacking so far. Just thinking, since it's going to be in TMM & my state, we could do a little live get-together at the con and/or somewhere in Providence.
Heck, we might even be ok with letting a few of you stay with us to save on hotel costs (but we won't play chauffeur, we'll come and go to the con at our own pace). The convention center is about 15mins away by car. We have two small extra bedrooms, and possibly our basement if the troll downstairs can't keep up on rent by then. I'll give more info if anyone's interested. We do have a lot of pets and some house rules, so bear that in mind.
Just food for thought. It'd be awesome (and probably awkward) to be able to meet you guys and gals in person, and geek out over robots and ponies.
ha ha, it's like Botcon only filled with bronies now too! Hasbro is trolling you!
>implying 99% of people at Botcon didn't buy MLP anyway to "support the company" because being a Hasbro fan is being Hasbro's bitch
I could drive down but I'd need to rent a car and see something/one that would make the cost worth it.
I live near Providence so I'll probably attend even though my interest in Hasbro specifically is nill. I bet they'll have a lot of toy vendors.

Post your unorganised Toy/DVD collections here, no tidying.
I need tips on how to organise this.
>>6151428
>I need tips on how to organise this.
Place all books/DVD's/etc upright and packed together well enough they all stand up straight. Dust shelves. Conserve space by putting more DVD's/books/toys atop the already lined up DVD's/books.
If space is still an issue, put your toys in an "at attention" pose. ie: Standing straight, arms at sides. Looks shitty, but it saves space.
Put boxes away in a closet or something.
>>6151428
>Funko Pops
>Empty boxes
>Kill La Kill
Well that is virtually all of /toy/s triggers.
>>6151442
My tastes in toys has changed since joining /toy/, I have realised funkos are mostly trash and have moved on to the infinitely superior nendoroids.
Still, kill la kill is good fun
When I was a kid (back in 96 or 97), my dad bought me some 12" mechanical, dinosaur toys, that were made of rubber or latex.
When I grew out of them, my mother probably donated them.
It'd be nice to have them back but all I seem to find are these bootleg, hard plastic chinese dinosaurs.
Where could I start searching?
Did any of you guys had them too?
Pic. Kinda related. These are made of latex but don't walk or roar like the ones I had.
>soft rubber skin
It sounds like the Jurassic Park toys by Kenner sold throughout 1994 to 1997.
I know exactly what you were talking about. There was a lot of them, the most common being the brown tyrannosaur. There was a large lifesize green pterodactyl, a dilophosaurus, triceratops, brachiosaurus, stegosaurus, and possibly others as well. They moved, had blinking eyes, and looked fantastic. They are exceptionally hard to find and sadly their electronics do not hold up over the years.
>>6151567
DId a bit more looking because I've thought about these from time to time, they were Wow Wee Reign of the Dinosaurs figures. The company that makes roboraptors and shit. They were from around 2000, 2001.
