In other news target seems to be getting an exclusive AT-ACT driver hitting shelves the last week of march.
Use brickseek.com to check local stock for Target and Walmart stores
To take from the marvel thread we should start cataloging DCPI codes to check stock locally

This thing looks nice. Hopefully it isnt a huge pain in the ass to get. Its 50/50 on target exclusives i got the shadow trooper set but I went day of release while the 3 pack is still shelf warming.
otherwise I still have not seen a single figure of the scarif squad leader wave. Thinking about just paying a scalper for the leader. I sort of lost interest in getting a Krennic or even Baze and Chirrut. My hype for the movie has waned and the fact that unhelmeted black series just look so meh.
>mfw I finally got the SHF Vader Stage and its just half and inch too tall for my shelf
God damnit. I thought it would fit as its a large shelf with lots of room. I even have the space walls on it but its just a smidge too tall. Oh well I will figure something out. Shout outs to the anon that posted them being cheap on mandy.

Why is this the closest we have to a comprehensive toyline based on a film series? You think we could get some Dune or The Fifth Element figures or something?
>>6255812
You mean for your, dare I say it, space opera collection?
>>6255814
What was with that?
I'm on Space Opera Guy's side; sure the term "Space Opera" isn't often used by why did everyone get so triggered whenever he said it?
>>6255812
You mean why is Star Wars the only one that's so comprehensive? It's a combination of it being one of the most successful film franchises of all time with global mass appeal (except in China, thanks Mao!) combined with the creator planning to make as many toys as possible from the very beginning.
Dune has had some decent adaptations but the only stand out thing for a toy would be the sand worms unless you think people really want that fat guy from Harkonnen.
He looks really cool
Shame didn't release version with Cyborg face inside
I'm looking for this 1/6 scale figure with the limited edition Chainsaw. Anyone know where I might find it?

Just hang tight. It's 3A so when it finally ships in 2019 it'll be a QC disaster and you'll be able to find someone selling it for peanuts.

How do you rank each of the online stores where you buy your stuff from? How would you tier the ones you know of in terms of who mostly buys from them and how well known they are?
>>6253709
N-Y best for exclusives.
HLJ is my god-tier choice. I always have a Private Warehouse order going, and since they hold stuff for 60 days that means I only pay for shipping about 6 times a year. Huge savings compared to how I used to buy stuff.
Amiami is okay for single purchases but they're not my first choice.
Generally Amazon for gunpla. Prices have gotten so damn competitive there that it sometimes doesn't even make sense to buy from Japanese retailers anymore.
>>6253709
BBTS is amazing for Japanese figures.
Can't recommend it enough.
>>6253729
You're probably paying $20+ extra per figure for that "amazingness".

Shit, did I just curse us all forever to never get a Jazz MP?
I-it was just a joke, guys, I didn't mean to...
I like Quickswitch better than Sixshot. Eventhough Quickswitch is a straight up repaint with a new head, the color scheme makes him look cooler in the vehicle modes.
His truck mode looks like a 90's Dixie Cup on wheels.
>>6252444
Seriously, what the fuck is Takara doing with MPs? 3P is kicking their ass. Obviously there's more companies filling holes, but still. If they did one MP a month, even with BW MPs alternating months, it'd still make as major strides in rounding out the collection as the 3Ps are making.
Do you guys know any good ranged combat archer bowman crossbowman figures?

Got my 2nd ever ML today, mostly because I'll never get a Andy figure from Parks and Rec. Pretty nice figure overall. Wish he didn't have these big stubs on the side of his legs to "holster" his guns though. All they really do is just block articulation.
Also I really had to hit this figure with the ol' hair dryer to loosen a lot of his joints. His right shoulder, right hand, left foot, all would not budge until I gave them a blast of hot air. Is that common with these figures? Or did mine just have shit QC?
>>6247493
you could always just cut em off. if holstering them isn't important just clip em off.
>>6247504
Yeah, I'm thinking of doing that. Or would, if I could find my plastic nippers. Gotta admit, the face seems like a pretty good rendition of the guy who plays'em in the movie.
Articulation isn't quite what I'd like, but I guess I'm too used to Japanese figures that give you extreme bends and the like. Plus, it is a bit unfair to compare expensive stuff to a ML, I'd wager.
Can somebody explain this to me?
This is a 1/6 Berserk figure, with so called seamless PVC parts, how does this shit work?
Is this like rubber molded over plastic joints?
>>6247037
>rubber tearing in the promo pic
fucking beautiful.
>>6247037
>Is this like rubber molded over plastic joints?
Yes, it's rubber on top of an articulated skeleton. It will tear/break eventually, how fast depends on how often you pose the figure and other factors such as the temperature/climate the figure is being stored in.
The RAH seems like a safer option if you plan to treat Guts as an action figure.
>>6247145
RAH?
And thanks for the heads up anon, you just saved me $250.

The S shape is always good advice though. The basic idea is that straight lines tend to look stiff.

Knoe!
ITT: The one that got away
I had this beast when I was little, it was my absolute favorite. I lost it with most of my other toys and games when my house burned down when I was 13. I've since searched for it and I can't find any for less than a few hundred dollars. Someday, I'll have it back.
I don't even care too much for the little cars/Hoghug figure, the giant itself is awesome. The fingers and wrists were very pose-friendly. I remember the arms being a little difficult but the shoulders were perfect.
Easily my favorite figure of all time, up there with Play Arts Roxas for me.
>>6245661
Fuck house fires, they suck.
There's a couple, but this is one of the oldest for me. When Beast Wars first came out, I really wanted a dragon Transformer, so much so that I tried to write Kenner a letter with a design to submit. but I was also 5 so my handwriting was incomprehensible and my sister never mailed the letter. So when years later, a dragon Megatron actually came out, I should've been super excited. But I couldn't find it at retail. Eventually Beast Machines came out and I lost interest. When I did find it(and Tigerhawk, another one I wanted and couldn't find), it was in 2001 in one of those little toy stores you see in Union City NJ, loaded with everything but recent toys. Like, you'd see everything from bootlegs, to toys from 3-6 years ago, loaded to the gills with no real order on a wall, in a small space, next to bookbags and trinkets.I was into DBZ at the time, so I passed it up in favor of one of those, in hindsight shitty, giant rotocast Goku figures.
As far as things I had, my original Transmetal Megatron's shoulders broke a year into getting him as a kid. In 2012 I replaced him with a Japanese version which I paid way too much for, since I didn't know of any alternatives to eBay at the time, oh well.
I still haven't got a TM2 Megatron, even though I own the Botcon 2016 Megatron. There's not much more I really want in my collection, so I guess I avoid getting it so there's always something out there I want still.
Also, OP, you should totally get the Mondo version if you can find it for around retail. Its a bit light feeling, but its a really cool toy.

Have you heard of the Mondo Iron Giant, OP? Seems to fit all your criteria, and if you were willing to shell out a few hundred bucks for the old one, why not spend a bit more for the new one? The articulation and make are both leagues ahead of the one you posted. I understand the need to get the original because of nostalgic purposes, but if you're a fan of the IG, the mondo's the definitive

I have some and I'm noticing it's hit or miss where sometimes limbs get super loose very quickly after you pose them a couple times, especially with newer ones.
Is that normal or did they just start making them cheaper?

I've only got Raiden, Kaz, and Ghost Volgin because they have no toys otherwise. Also 2 of them were gifts so.
