Bought this lil guy on a whim at a local bookstore today.
Remembered how much I loved glow in the dark stuff as a kid.
What kind of glow in the dark toys do you all have?
This was my jam when I was a kid. Best mail in cereal promo item ever. Thing glowed for years.

Hiroshimoot has mandated that every board have one (1) meta discussion thread.
What amendments to board rules would you like to see? Do you want thread IDs? What patterns of /toy/-specific shitposting should unaware mods and janitors be on the lookout for? Should /toy/ have spoiler tags and image spoilers?
Discuss all this and more below.
I think a decent sticky would do this board a world of good. A little bit of universal /toy/ information as well as the generals that are a mainstay on this board would be nice to see.
>>6254556
This. I remember there being alot of discussion about this awhile ago but nothing ever came off it.
>>6254595
You wanna know why? Hang around in this thread and you'll find out eventually.
What Magic the Gathering card would you like to see turned into a toy? And what sort of toy? I would guess action figure would be the choice of most people.
>>6231936
Most powerful one.
A sex toy.
I'd love to see any goblins made
It's such a broad sprawling franchise, the only thing that makes sense is the Planeswalkers and they're all boring as fuck.
Post heavily armed toys. Tentacles don't count
The last toy you touched comes to life at 1:1 scale with all canon memories, personality, powers/abilities, but is now your only sexual partner you will ever have.
Rules:
1) Parts, components, accessories, clothing, etc. do not count UNLESS they are a toy-character by themselves. (Ex.- power ranger zords, smaller transformers that combine, small minion-type figures like Dead Master's skulls, etc.)
2) BAF, customs, model kits/Gunpla only count if 80% built or more (paint does not count). The 1:1 source material of it is the completed version.
3) Statueshit does not count unless there is at least 1 articulated part of the figure, even if as a custom articulation.
4) Moblie suits, vehicles, etc. have the personalities of the pilot/driver that uses them the most.
Fuck!

I was so fucking hype about megs too. Hopefully a paintless grey reissue will be released.

Hey, get out of here Sally!
So I found this while cleaning out my cousins room. I can't find anything about it. Does /toy/ know?
>>6266625
Pretty sure I have that. Got it back in the late 90s.
>>6266625
did kenner have an original release?
I'm pretty sure your pic is the vintage collection release by Hasbro.
>>6266625
Amazon exclusive Vintage Collection Slave I. The thing is huge and one of the best Star Wars vehicles.
First time buying figurines. Took a month to get here but I'm so happy with this. Really like the pose-ability on it. Anyone have some recommendations for other figures? Should I shop for Revoltech or Figma?
To answer your question we first need to know where your interests lie. Is it anime? Movies? Comics? Video games?
There are a variety of tastes in toys here, so you'll have to narrow it down.
That said, welcome to the hobby.
>>6266422
Anime and Transformers mostly. I was thinking about getting MP-18B, but kinda on the fence if I should get the KO or authentic version.
But yeah I definitely want to collect more. I usually just collect diecast cars and such, but these figurines are nice to have on the desk to mess around with.
>>6266422
Second in this. Get into something and see if it has toys.

Is this a april fools joke? a shame ,because that bear is fucking awesome.
>>6261234
Definitely something they made as a "joke" to gauge interest. This isn't the last you'll see of the bear...
GODDMAN!
Super posable animals should be a constant thing.

Warlock wave is at all my Targets now and I live in NC where we never get anything cool, I advise you guys to get to Target if you haven't been lately.

The best part is, the trailer suggests this isn't a rookie suit but instead what he has to make for himself after Stark confiscates his fancy suit.
So the main suit for the movie, effectively.
I'm going to Hong Kong (and by extension Macau) in a few days for about a week, and I'm wondering if there are any places worth toy hunting over there?
I'm primarily looking for figma, SAS and maybe some Transformers.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
If time is of the essence, do a triangular visit of Yau Ma Tei, Sham Shui Po, and Mong Kok. Granted it has been 3 or 4 years since I've been back, things have changed a bit but shouldn't be much.
Yau Ma Tei should be like walkable distance from MK, so I recommend getting off there, go to In's Point, and work from there. There should be a couple of good Transformers shop, 3rd party stuff too.
Look up the address for Hobbybase Sino Centre, walk towards there after In's Point. I think they are in reality Robotkingdom, so that's a good spot for those kinds of stuff.
Sino Center, CTMA, Richmond Centre shopping arcade are the three big spots in MK. Not sure if gunpla or plamo are your thing, but there are a couple of model shop speckled here and there at MK.
I would especially be careful with like Richmond shops and SSP, bootlegs alert there, but shouldn't discourage you from getting the good shit. Be smart and don't get something if they look fishy.
SSP, I think Fook Le is a good spot. And there's a few shops there.
If you have some spare time, then maybe go to Wan Chai, Tai Yuen Street. Causeway Bay is doable there, but it pretty much is just down to Sogo and some shops down at Sugar Street. That place has since became Pinoy hotspot instead.
Just look up the facebook page for Fook Le and Hobbybase for a good idea.
I wanna head back too in a few months or so after my CPA. Happy Hunting!
There's a mall called "Sino Centre" in Hong Kong, which is filled with toys. Anime figures included.
Oh yeah, one more thing. This isn't TRU, so shops around MK and YMT usually open late. Some of these people probably have secondary jobs or to save overheads or something. 3 to 4 pm is a good time to show up there. Plan your visits. SSP and Wan Chai I think open early if you are looking for places to kill time.
Anybody have experience with kibri HO scale furniture? Or HO scale companies in general? Building a diorama and Amazon only has a few options. They're kinda pricey, so before I drop the dough it'd be nice to have recommendations.
Looks kinda flimsy.
maybe get this instead

In't H0 scale something like 1:87? Those things must be tiny.
