>Last time, on Digimang Quest.
Exploring a creepy abandoned store, led straight to our group’s goal, a kidnapped Dokunemon.
Along the way, they found themselves allied with a tiny fairy Digimon, and squaring off against a small crew of pirates that run a slave ship.
After a brief patch up, the group arrived in Tube City, whereupon Dash quickly initiated a digital-organic handshake procedure, without hands, by way of reward for good behaviour.
With the others failing in the first few hours of asking for humans, Dash spent a few hours with Casey, helping her come to terms with things. Also, icecream.
Now, on with the adventure!
Come morning, Tsunomon’s finally got the energy in him to transform back to Elecmon, managing to do it of his own accord, in a shimmering golden light.
You pat him between the ears, “Good work buddy. But next time you go Leomon… well, let’s be more careful about it, alright?”
He nods appreciatively, “I too, would appreciate not turning into that slavering beast again.” he mumbles. “I apologise again, for scaring you like that.”
You pat his cheek, “Dude, relax. It was my fault as much, if not more, as yours. And stop being so formal about it. You’re my bud, so relax a little, okay?”
He nods, and you slip off your bed. The place is nice, almost feels like a steal with how cheap it is, since they’re expecting your group to make up costs by paying for... services.
Your rooms just a few doors down from Aru’s you noticed yesterday, after having returned with Casey. You can’t help but think about the spider woman again, as you shower, leaving to deal with an issue before you shut the water off, doubting you’re the first person to do such a thing in there.
Should probably by some sandals to wear in there.
You slip out of your room with Elecmon on your heels, finding the others downstairs already. Ms Kelli is talking to Tinkermon quietly in a corner, Jeff, Gotsumon, Casey and Hagurumon are already heading out the door, to ask around about more humans, having covered barely any of the city before they gave up last night.
Eva’s rolling her neck by the front door, rubbing some cream into it and looking like she’s trying to avoid touching… anything, while Demi flaps around.
>Catch up to the others that have already left.
>Should keep Ms Kelli company, in case she gets in trouble
>Pair up with Eva to look around
>The others can look around, you want to spend the day with Aru
>>Should keep Ms Kelli company, in case she gets in trouble
>Go look around for human whereabout, and possibly interesting magic
Spending time with Aru would be nice, but we have a job to do, first.
You saunter downstairs, making my way over to Ms Kelli and Tink. “Hey teach, wanna pair up while we look? It’s probably not to safe for you to go on your own, even in the city.”
She smiles appreciatively, “Oh, that’s sweet Dash, but Tinkermon here said she’d keep me comp-”
“Glad to have you along!” Tink smirks, zipping over to you and reclaiming her seat on your shoulder once more. “He’s got the comfiest butt groove.” Tink explains, shifting about atop your arm, before she settles down.
“Well… four is safer than two, I guess.” Ms Kelli nods, heading for the door. “Stay safe Eva, hope you feel better.”
The blonde grunts irritably as we step past her, she’s been in a mood after pulling a neck muscle during our workout.
Not knowing your way around, you let Ms Kelli lead the way, shoving your hands in your pocket and whistling a little tune to yourself as you walk. It’s hard to feel down, after the fun you had yesterday.
After a minute or two, the teacher cuts me off, seemingly annoyed by the noise. “Dash? You said Arukenimon payed you for rescuing that friend of hers yesterday, didn’t you?” She asks.
Well… not in money. “She did reward me, yes.” You tell her, not exactly lying.
She nods her head, “It’s odd how many female digimon are staying at our hotel, don’t you think? In fact, I think ALL the rooms are currently rented out to women, apart from ours.” She still seems oblivious to the kind of place we’re staying in, much to Tink’s amusement. "But I heard the strangest noises in the middle of the night..." Tink snorts a little harder.
We’re starting to approach some ground that wasn’t covered yesterday.
>Ms Kelli, you should know it’s a brothel.
>Yeah, funny that, isn’t it? Now let’s focus on asking around!
>Change the topic, ask her about herself
>If you get scared, you can come talk to me about it
You clear your throat, “Ms Kelli-”
“Call me Daisy.” She instructs, cutting you off.
“Right, Daisy. You rrreally should know that the Come Innside is a brothel.” You tell her, scratching at your neck awkwardly.
Her mouth falls openly silently, “O-oh…” She gasps out. “So those noises were…” She gulps, shivering a little. “Ew-ew-ew-ewww.” She whines, covering her ears, for all the good it will do her. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
You shrug, “I thought you knew. It seemed pretty obvious to me.” You grimace apologetically, “Oh, but, uh, Arukenimon doesn’t work there, she’s just making clothes or sheets or something for them. Contract work.”
“Quite a profitable one at that.” Elecmon points out, “For them to ship her out to the Isles for that.”
Ms K- Daisy pulls a face, “I don’t think we can stay another night there!” She whispers, “You’re all just children, you shouldn’t be exposed to things like that!”
I hold a finger up to pause her, as a nine foot tall centaur digimon trots past. “Hey, you seen any humans around?”
He ignores you completely, trotting on down the road. What a dick.
>Relax Daisy, we won’t hire them or anything.
>I mean, it is dirt cheap there
>Alright, we’ll find somewhere more wholesome, if possible
>No one’s bothered by it except you
You pat her on the back reassuringly, “Relax, Daisy, it’s not like we’re planning on hiring them or anything.” You tell her, “Besides, it’s dirt cheap to stay there, you can put up with a few bumps in the night for that, can’t you?”
She scuffs her feet on the road a few moments, before, “I guess so… I mean, it’s not like there’s a lot of choices, are there?”
There’s probably a lot, but none with a much moral fibre. “Cool, now what say we find someone who’s willing to talk to us?”
This guy looks promising, considering the enormous brain he’s got, exposed to the fresh air… kind of looks like a freaky little alien, but what you gonna do?
“Excuse me sir?”
He glances your way, “Yes?” It purrs in a decidedly feminine voice, eyelashes fluttering. “It’s sixty for the hour.” Her eyes shift to Daisy who ducks behind you, “Or a hundred for all four of you together.
Well. Didn’t see that coming. “Uh, no thank you ma’am.” You tell her, “But, have you seen any other humans wandering around the city?”
She giggles, a noodly tentacle coiling up by her mouth. You are really not enjoying this conversation. “Why yes, quite a few, over by the Come Innside.”
Damn it. “Thank you for your time miss.” You mutter, walking away.
“Remember, a hundred for the lot of you! It’s a steal!” She calls, slowly making her way on.
“I think I’m going to need counselling after that.” Daisy complains, shivering with revulsion. “And I thought the frat bros were creepy.”
“Hey, some people are into that.” Tink shrugs, flexing out on your shoulder, before zipping down to sit on Elecmon’s back. “Who’re you to judge? People around here might think who you choose is gross!”
Daisy stomps a foot, coming to a stop. “I didn’t choose anyone, I'm a-” She cuts herself off, covering her mouth, “None of your business.” She finally mutters out.
“A hundred for what?” Elecmon asks you quietly. “What was she offering?”
You pat his head a little, “I’ll tell you when you’re older.” You inform him.
Glancing around fearfully, Daisy hurries to catch back up with you as you walk on, stopping a few more people, none of which turn up anything useful, either nothing, or just describing people from your group.
Hours later, this is seeming like a bust, Ms Kelli’s stomach grumbles loudly as you walk, scaring a few people away, as she clutches her gut. Not gonna lie, you’re not exactly hungry…
>Wanna get some lunch together?
>Give her some money, keep looking while she eats.
“Wanna grab some lunch?” you ask her, nudging her softly.
She grimaces, “Please, I fell asleep before dinner.”
You pick a diner at random, hoping it’s not going to end up with you walking in on people eating sushi off a naked woman. Luckily, it seems to just be run by a digimon shaped like an egg, with dinosaur legs.
One wonders how he carries anything, until you see hand slip out of his eyehole and snatch your menus away, after you’ve finished ordering. Since you’re not too hungry, you offer to share with Tink and Elecmon.
Daisy jumps as her leg brushes yours under the table, hurriedly looking out the window, only to hurriedly look back inside, as a woman dressed in nothing but giant flower petals wizzes past.
“U-um, so Dash, what were you in summer school for?” Daisy asks. “Bad grades? Or causing trouble.”
You think back a little, “Would you believe me if I said my teachers had a personal grudge against me?” You ask her, “Bloody Mr Carmack, what a prick.”
She simply clucks her tongue, “Now Dash, I don’t think any teacher could get away with giving you summer school over a personal grudge.” She tells you.
You scratch behind your ear a little, “Welllll, my grades weren’t exactly…. the BEST grades you’ve ever seen, but… you know.”
She lays her hand over yours across the table, “Dash, you should seriously consider-”
“Foods up!” The egg mon tells you, two plates slipping onto the table.
“Hey, before you go?” The egg turns back to face you, “Seen any humans around? Or… anything else weird like that?”
The egg hums in consideration, “Nope, no humans. But there were rolling glitch waves last week, coming from a power station on sixty ninth street.”
You look to Elecmon, “Glitchwaves?”
He tilts his head curiously, “You don’t have them?” He asks, continuing when you shake your head. “When something messes with an area’s datadrive, it starts to mess with the surrounding environment, and if you manage to get the power to destroy one, the entire area that comes from the datadrive will just disappear, leaving everything on top of it to sink into the sea.”
Daisy squeaks a little, looking panicked. “Well, that’s grim.” You mutter.
Tink shrugs, helping herself to your eggs. “Still, he seemed pretty casual about these ones, probably just a few things changing appearance for a while, before changing back. That only takes a few smacks to the datadrive to accomplish.”
>Looks like we found a clue Daisy, let’s check it out.
>Not related to humans, we need to keep asking until we have a clear source
You shake your head, “Not a strong enough link, I want to find something that’s concretely linked to humans.” Although… “Maybe we should talk to the others about it and check it out later though.”
The egg mon returns with the cheque, “Speak of the devil, there’s one now…” He sighs, nodding across the street.
You glance over the street, the billboard that had previously been advertising some ritzy casino now has… those are clickbait articles. Celebrity gossip sites pasted over it. “Eva Powers; The Next Child Star Tragedy?” You read aloud, a large picture of the blonde girl, hair dishevelled, flipping the camera off and drinking from a bottle in a brown bag, as she walks away. Checking the date it came out, same day you got sucked out the school window.
“You can read that?” The egg asks, “Looks like a buncha gibberish to me.”
The gossip site disappears replaced by static for a few moments, before returning to the billboard.
You slip your phone over and pay the tab, before heading out. “Poor girl…” Daisy mutters, “I-I’ll have to talk to her about it.”
“Let’s just focus on the job at hand.” You sigh.
You ask everyone that’s willing to stop and listen, more than a few of them trying to solicit you again, but even by the end of the day, with the sun going down and the red street lamps lighting up, still nobody has anything for you.
Daisy’s clearly getting antsy about being out at night, as a new set of digimon emerge onto the street.
>Call it a day
>You head back, I’ll keep looking
>They won’t bite, I’ve got your back
“Let’s call it a day.” You sigh, seeing her face flood with relief.
“I-I mean, we don’t have too.” She suggests out of decency, lying through her teeth.
“No, it’s fine.” I assure her, “Come on, let’s get back to the inn.”
As we walk, Elecmon bumps you with his shoulder to get your attention. “Do you think the others got any results?”
You shrug, “Dunno man, ask ‘em when you see them.”
Tink flutters up to the air, taking a perch by lying prone on your head now, grabbing onto your goggles for stability. “I bet they probably all heard the same shpiel as us. The digimon round here don’t seem very bright.”
She’s not entirely wrong. None on the way back had anything to offer either, and as soon as you reach the inn, Daisy checks that none of the other kids are back, before she wends her way up to her room, the digimon in the main room of the inn casting… looks your way.
“I’ll stop them looking at ya like that.” Tink whispers conspiratorially, flipping off your head, she lets out a loud obnoxious giggle and starts tugging you towards the stairs, “Come on big boy! Room’s this way!”
The digimon in the lobby return to waiting for clients, lounging about, a few giving you little waves and smiles as Tink pulls you up the stairs.
By the time you get to the balcony, she releases you, “There ya go!” The little fairy chirps, “Glad you got me around, huh?” She pauses a moment to sniff herself, “You’re hair’s all sweaty!” She complains, “You got your stink all over me!” With that she zips towards your room, insisting on washing off in your bathroom.
“She seems temperamental.” Elecmon sighs.
>Hey, Elecmon, buddy, mind talking to Daisy for a while? I’d like to use the room.
>Watch after Tink, I’m gonna talk to Daisy
>Watch after Tink, I’m gonna see Aru
>Go get dinner for the others return
>Hey, Elecmon, buddy, mind talking to Daisy for a while? I’d like to use the room.
Proposing a To do list:
Find the other humans.
Try and help Sensei be more capable of holding herself together.
Talk to Eva.
Maybe find out who the hell wants to kidnap us so much (check out Casey's theory)
You glance downwards at Elecmon, “Hey, buddy, listen, you mind talking to Daisy for a few minutes? I’d like room to myself.”
He tilts his head, “Oh? Are you going to take a nap? The beds sure are comfy.”
“Something like that.” You nod, pointing him towards your teachers door, before slipping back into your room, locking the door behind you.
You can hear water running in the bathroom, the door opening with a push.
“You mind?” Tink demands. You look to the shower, then the bath, but… she’s nowhere to be found. “I’m in here, you galoot!” She groans.
Turning around, you find her shutting the tap off, having filled your sink with steaming hot water, she relaxes back, soapy bubbles covering up to her chin.
“Just wondering where you hurried off to so quick.” You tell her with a grin.
A tiny blonde eyebrow flicks up on her face, as her hand breaks the surface, flicking a few suds at you. “You heard me saying I was cleaning up.” She points out, sharp claws jutting out from the tips of her fingers, a smirk on her face, before she quickly retracts them.
“Well, yeah, but I thought you might just be wiping yourself off with a towel, thought you might need something…” You smirk.
She hums for a moment, “Actually, pass me your bar of soap.”
You fetch it, and in a flash, her claws extend and swipe off a small chunk, enough to be appropriate for her size, she starts to scrub herself off below the water.
>You want a hand with that?
>Seems you’ve got things under control, I’m gonna (Write in)
You squat down by the sink, wiggling your eyebrows at her. “You want a hand with that little lady?” You ask her.
She shrugs, “You can wash my hair, otherwise, I’m good.” She winks, her eyes flicking downwards, “Not today, slugger.”
Damn. Ah well, she hasn’t said no.
You squirt a drop of shampoo on your palm and gently massage it into her scalp for her, before heading for the door. “You need anything else, just be sure to let me know.” You wink at her.
She rolls her eyes, but nods, “I’ll keep that in mind.” She assures you, kicking a leg up over the surface and running the soap down it.
Eh, you win some, you lose some. And that’s barely a loss… still, you kinda have an ‘issue’... again. Stupid sexy digimon.
You chew your lip, hearing the familiar noise of Eva bossing her brother around outside your door, a door shutting loudly, not slammed, but close.
>Go see Aru, she can help with this problem
>Tell Eva about the ad you saw earlier
>Check on Elecmon and Daisy
If only we could've come up with a good pick up line.
All I could think of was "know whats the difference between your Pete and my Pete? Mine can't stop from growing" (Im not serious)
You do your best to tuck it, before knocking on Eva’s door. “What do y-” She starts rudely, before stopping, inhaling slowly. “Hi.” She says a little softer. “What?”
“Can I come in?” You ask her. Her eyebrows rise, “No, not for that.” You sigh, and she begrudgingly opens the door, forcing you to sit on a settee, while she takes the bed.
“What is it then?” She asks. “You find out about some other human then?”
You shake your head, “No… something else. There was this… glitch thing earlier, and something slipped over from our world, across this billboard. Some trashy celebrity gossip site.”
“Huh.” She states the word, sounding bored. “Good for you.” She starts rubbing at her neck again, as Demi flaps to the window, wanting to explore by night. “So why did I have to know about this?” She asks, fetching the cream she’d been rubbing in this morning.
“Well, the article that showed up… was about you.” You point out. “Some paparazzi asshole snapped a picture of you, brownbottling in the street. Said it was the beginning of the end for you or something.”
She stares at you for a moment, before calmly placing her tube of cream aside, getting up and walking over to the wall, before slamming her fist into it, hard enough to rattle the door frame. “For fuck’s SAKE!” She screams the last word. “It was ice GOD! DAMN! TEA!” Each word comes with another punch.
“Jesus, calm down!” You tell her, seeing the red smears she’d left on the wall.
She just lets herself flop back on her bed, “I carry a drink in a bag one time, while I look like shit, and now the whole country is gonna think I’m some retard child actor trying to be edgy before I flame out.” She groans, covering her face with a pillow, before moments later the pillow is flung into a wall, Eva reaching for some bandages from her bag. “Before you ask, no I don’t need your help with this.” She growls, unrolling a length and cleaning out the cuts on her knuckles, hissing as she squeezes them to stop the bleeding.
>You’ll bounce back, don’t take it so harsh
>Oh well, I thought you didn't like acting anyway?
>Rough day, huh?
>>Rough day, huh?
>>I'm sure you can think of a way to clear it up, Eva.
>It's just a dumb rumor. People say worse things about anyone famous to to feel better about themselves. Though, do you remember flipping out anyone with a camera lately?
You shrug, “I’m sure you can think of a way to clear it up.” She grunts and a small silence falls over the room. “Rough day, huh?” You ask her.
She finishes wrapping up her hands, glowering as she holds them up in front of her face. “I got propositioned four separate times.” She sighs, “Like I don’t get that enough as is.”
“Sorry.” You tell her, cautiously moving to sit next to her.
“The worst one was this creepy cat guy, wouldn’t leave me alone for hours. Was stalking me for a good couple of miles, before I threatened to kick the shit out of him.” She shivers, glancing over at the open window. “Mind closing that for me?” She asks.
You oblige, making sure to shut the curtains with it. “If you hear anything, scream, and I’ll come running.” You assure her.
She still glowers at the wall, staring at her hands. “Sorry for yelling at you.” She finally mumbles out. “I was doing that super healthy thing where I lash out at people who don’t deserve it.”
Well, at least she recognises it.
She hugs her arms around herself, “You know what’s not fun?” She asks suddenly, “Googling your name and finding a countdown until you turn eighteen. To the second.” She stares over at the window again. “I don’t wanna sleep in here tonight.”
>Room on my bed
>Go ask your brother, he’ll help you if you’re this scared
>Ask Miss Kelli, she loves helping out
You point to the wall, “Room on my bed? Just as long as I can trust you not to attack me.” You shoot her a grin over that, and she cracks a half smile back.
“Thanks.” She nods, gathering up some things.
You let her into your room, before hurrying downstairs, talking to the madame. “Hey, just in case… if you’ve got security, keep an eye out for a creepy looking cat digimon.” You tell the Sistermon.
She nods seriously, “Someone threatening one of my girls?” She demands.
“A patron. Who he thinks works here.”
The digimon’s face grows darker, “Oh, he’s going to regret it if I see his face.” She chuckles, a silver gun flashing into her hand.
Well, that’s… reassuring? Sure, why not.
Just as you’re about to take the stairs, Casey breezes past you, stuffing some takeout containers in your hands, asking you to hand Eva’s hers, before she and Hagurumon shut themselves up in their room, both smiling wide. Well, that’s handy.
“You want curry, or sushi?” You ask the blonde, kicking your door shut.
“I’ll take the curry.” She mutters. Damn it, you hate sushi. Oh well. You not so subtly check the bathroom, but Tink’s redressed herself and taken off, god knows where.
You hand the food off to her, sitting with you back against the headboard. You get a few bites down, remembering how much you hate the flavour of seaweed, before Eva sighs and yanks it from your hands, shoving the curry into yours.
“Cheers.” You tell her, ruffling her hair.
She yanks her head away, letting out a groaning complaint as her neck jilts funny. “Uhhhh.” She groans, her head still at an angle. “I think I’m stuck like this” The veins in her neck flex, her teeth grinding and her face going red.
“Stop.” You tell her, setting dinner aside, “You’ll pop a blood vessel or something doing that.” You know how to handle this, dad’s had it a few times happen to him and you helped with that.
You gently massage the stretched side of her neck, working around the bones of her spine, it slowly eases back to place. “You’re welcome.” You finish simply, as she rubs at her throat silently, seemingly pleased with your work.
“Yeah, uh, yeah…” She trails off, scooping up a blob of wasabi and swallowing it whole, without reaction. God damn, your eyes hurt watching that.
>Get everyone together, time to check out that power station
>We’ve got a tv in here, wanna see what’s on?
>I could probably sort out the rest of your neck pain, if you give me a go at it.
You point to her, “Take a seat on the floor, I can probably sort out the rest of that neck pain for you.” You shrug.
Another eye roll, “And I’m sure you’re not trying to get my top off.” She grumbles.
You look her straight in the eye, “Eva, come on, I’m being serious, neck pain’s a bitch. You can leave on as much as you want.”
She stares back at you a moment, before tugging her sweater vest off, down to her shirt, she sits by the side of the bed.
Well, might as well see what’s on the tube, give her something to watch. You flickthe remote, moans filling the room, as you quickly flick it back off. “In my defence!” You start, as she glares back at you. “I thought it might be real tv.”
“Whatever.” She sighs, slumping back against the bed, you position yourself behind her and start kneading at her neck muscles, and holt shit, it’s like trying to massage rocks.
“Man, you’re carrying a lot of stress up here.” You mutter.
“Funny that.” She grimaces, as you dig your thumbs in harder, working the knots out of her upper neck, drawing the tension down and out. pulling her shoulders back and forcing her to sit up straighter.
“Hunching so much isn’t helping it.” You point out.
She laughs a little bitterly at that. “You can thank my mother for that.” Her voice goes nasal in imitation, pretending to suck on a cigarette. “Directors don’t like to hire girls as tall as you dear, try and hide your height.” A fake inhale, “Tall girls are extras, honey.”
“Your mother sounds…” you trail off.
“Borderline abusive?” She asks.
“Something like that.” You nod, feeling her spine pop a little, Eva gasping a little.
“HAhhh.” She rocks her shoulders backwards and forwards, testing her movement, “That… actually helped a lot.” You slip down a few notches and feel the same tension doing it again, her spine arching backwards, she tries to catch herself, fails, and lands with her head between your legs. “Thanks.”
“There you go, little niceness helps a lot.” You smirk back at her, only for her to playfully swat at your leg.
“You were still feeling me up long before I was ever nice to you.” She points out.
“You’re the one who climbed in my bed in the middle of the night.” You shrug back. “And tried to get me to make out with me in the middle of the night.”
“I had an… issue that night, that needed resolving. And you were the only guy around I wasn't related too.” She mutters. “Come to think of it, Witchmon gave me one of those fruits that night!”
>Eva, can you take your head out of my crotch please?
>Well, you feel like resolving any ‘issue’s now?
>Go to sleep, I’m gonna make sure Elecmon’s fed.
>Yeah those weird fruits sure can get anyone in the mood
Explains why she wanted to fuck so eagerly
>Talk to her about stuff, like what she thinks of our current situation, just generally hang out with her for a bit
>cuddle pile with spider silk blankets and pillows
>Chill for a bit, then go see Aru.
We should talk to her today. I mean, it sounds rather strange to me that Dash wouldn't contact the woman he had sex with less than 24 hours before.
Even Dash has a limit as to how much Ara~ Ara~ he can handle
“Yeah, she likes handing those things out like candy.” You shrug, noticing a nasty looking blackhead hidden at the bottom of her hairline. “Yo, you want me to pop this for you?”
She jerks away, “Nah, I’ll get it in the morning.” She sighs, shaking her hair out and letting it fall down around her shoulders.
Whatever, you kick back on your bed, while she once more insists on her routine. “Well, since you’re mother’s not here, and I don’t see any directors around, I better not catch you slouching.” you warn her playfully.
She sticks her tongue out at you, but keeps her back vertical all the way through. “Dash, you’re parents are hippies, aren’t they?”
“Well, not in the traditional sense.” You shrug, “They still have decent jobs, they’re just… very left leaning, shall we say? No meat, no car, free love, all that jazz.”
“Thought so.” She sighs, “You sound like your parents smoke weed is all.”
“Hey! That’s (probably) not true!” You tell her. She smirks at your response, finishing up a few minutes later, she ducks into the bathroom, showering off, she returns, now dressed neck to ankle in…
“Nice pjs.” You snicker. Bright yellow flannel, they even have little Pagumon patterns on them.
“Shut up, Witchmon gave them to me.” She sighs, “I just never had a chance to change into them where you’d see them.”
You shoot her a wink, “Well, I think I’ve got something that might help your neck problems. Aru seems to be quite handy at making bedroom equipment. Maybe she could knock a few pillows out for us.”
>You chill out, I’ll go ask her
>You two haven’t even met, come meet her!
>We’ll ask in the morning, you still have pillows for tonight
>>You two haven’t even met, come meet her!
she doesn't want to be left alone and when we're at our most comfy is when dramatic kidnappings are most likely to occur
You grab her wrist, “You haven’t even met Aru yet, come on.” You tug her along, with little protest, knocking on Aru’s door, you get a call to come in.
She’s laying back on her bed, atop some fine looking silk sheets, sipping something from a tall glass. “Dashie…” She smirks, eyebrows flickering upwards, before you pull Eva in with you. “And you must be his charming young lady companion.” She stands, slinking forwards and tilting her head down. “He’s only had the nicest things to say about you.”
Eva stares at you suspiciously, “So this is your spiderwife, huh?” She runs her eyes up Aru. “She’s not as… spidery as I’d pictured in my head.”
Aru chuckles, “Spider wife?” She asks, a finger tweaking under your chin, “Goodness Dash, what sort of stories have you been telling them?” She spins on the spot, “Though if you’re looking for more spider looking my dear, then-” She spins, transforming to her other state, “BLEGGHH!” She roars.
Eva jumps, blindly scrabbling at the door behind her, trying to tug you back out with her, but Aru simply shifts back, laughing to herself. “You’re quite safe my dear.” She leans down and squeezes Eva’s cheeks playfully, her purple lips smiling, “Even if I could just eat you up.”
With that, she releases Eva and moves to a seat, now adorned with a comfy looking silk cushion. “I- uh- could you make us pillows.” The girl behind you finally gets out.
“She’s been having neck problems, on the road. And I’m sure we all will, if we go without them much longer.
Aru smiles, “But of course, simply consider it an early payment, for when you save my next Dokugumon.” The Dokunemon you brought back leans out of the bathroom, waving with it’s antenna before disappearing back inside. “Just hold still, and I’ll take some measurements.”
She stands, plucking a hair from her head, it goes ramrod stiff, before moving about, getting a few measurements on Eva’s neck, before moving over to you, subtly blowing in your ear as she stands closer, before slipping back to her desk, making a few notes. “They’ll be ready in the morning.” She assures you, “Run along now children, I’m sure there are much more exciting things you could do with your evening.”
Eva’s out the door without a word, leaving you with the digimon.
>Wanna do dinner tomorrow night?
>It might scare her, but I like the spider form!
>>It might scare her, but I like the spider form!
Let's not say this. It looks hilariously daft when I imagine us saying it in a chipper voice, and I'm pretty sure she knows we like it already, or at the least don't mind it.
(So, my vote is for:)
>She's a bit in edge near spiders after getting chased by some
>Wanna do dinner tomorrow night?
>Where's the next lovely holed up anyway?
“Thanks Aru.” You shoot her a wink and slip out the door, stopping at the last moment, “Dinner tomorrow night?”
There’s that coy smile again, “I don’t see why not. Work should be done by then, so it’ll be my last night here.” She slips her dress off in a fluid motion crawling onto her bed in a smooth motion, her pale skin gleaming. “So, it might be my last chance to see you for a while. Good night Dash.”
She snaps her wrist and a heavy gob of web shuts the door in your face, a second gob flicking the lock.
She’s a cutie.
You head back to your room, hearing glass shatter and a loud screa come from inside.
You hurry forwards the last few feet, flinging your door open, you see a freaky looking cat man lying on your floor, Tinkermon’s spear embedded in his back, until he brushes it off, breathing heavily and leering at Eva.
She blasts a weak gust of wind at him, but that does little more than blow his ears back, behind her, Elecmon blasts an electric bolt at him, but the intruder just shrugs it off.
“Nobody rejects Betsumon sweetie, now come gimme some sugar!” The cat laughs dementedly, grabbing at Eva.
You check your digivice quickly, Elecmon juuuust has enough energy to digivolve...
>Firefists, rush the fucker
>Call for help
>You need Leomon, now!
>Try out this X digivolution thing!
then our fiery fisticuffs of fury shall be all the more impressive!
>>Try out this X digivolution thing!
When you have someone to protect, always use overkill. Never give them the chance to come and try again.
As a side note, I'm a little sad that we didn't pursue Casey for our first. A spider is fine too.
Rolled 17, 5 = 22 (2d20)
Time to pull out all the stops! You hit the digivolve button, then swipe to the right, hitting the X marker hanging off of it.
Elecmon howls, glowing with golden light as his height shoots up, even taller than leomon regularly is, a flowing cape hanging from his back, and gleaming armour covering him below the waist, and that sword… That sword is enormous, it’s almost too much to be called a sword. Too thick… too heavy, too rough, it’s more like a hunk of iron than a blade.
You’re not just leaving the fight to him though!
You stuff your phone in your pocket and rush at the asshole, coming up behind him, you snap your fingers, blazing flames springing up on your fists. “Let her GO!” You snarl, catching the cat in the back of the skull with both fists.
He barely registers the hit, taking a half step forward, he glances back at you. “Get outta my room! I’m busy you ugly bastard! Don’t want your mug ruining the mood.!”
You can hear footsteps approaching, but Leomon’s already making his move. “You are a creature of evil… you will not stand in my way, nor harm a hair on this girls head!” He lifts his blade, one handed. “You will taste justice! Lion RIPPER!!!”
The blade starts humming, crackling electricity running up and down it, chased by flames, as Leomons’ blade swings down. You grab Eva out of the the way at the last second, tackling her over the bed, as Leomon’s blade bites home, cleaving the Betsumon in half, his blade lodging in the floor.
The twin halves of Betsumon twitch, both parts of his face contorted in pain, as Leomon turns away, nodding to you his blade still bit deep into the wooden floor. “Come back as a better person next time.” He barks out, as the two halves of Betsumon burst into pixels, breaking apart and drifting off into the sky.
“Holy shit Leomon.” You breathe quietly, disentangling yourself from Eva, you hold a fist out towards him. “Put ‘er there, that was sick!”
A gauntleted fist meets yours, a grin cracking his maw, “And I thought black cats were the ones that are supposed to be bad luck.”
As soon as the words leave his mouth, his body turns to golden light once more, shrinking down, though only slightly, down to regular Leomon. He sags a little, looking exhausted, but nods to you.
>You better start explaining to Sistermon, before she starts shooting
>You alright Eva?
>Yo Tink, thanks for the help!
>You better start explaining to Sistermon, before she starts shooting
>You alright Eva?
>Yo Tink, thanks for the help!
You lean out the window, “Yo, Tink! Thanks for the help.” She flutters in proudly, hands on her hips. “Saw a creep on your window, thought someone should do something about it.” She smirks.
Speaking of… You squat down by Eva, “You alright?” You ask, helping her sit upright.
She nods wordlessly, palefaced, as Demi flutters in, looking about in panic, before heading for the girl.
You check her out, eyes are fine, no concussion, no scratches on her arm… just a tiny cut on her lip, which she hastily wipes the blood off.
“What in the HELL did you do to my room!” Sistermon bellows, a gun levelling at Leomon. “You’re that cat freak the boy warned me about, are you?”
A bullet flies before you can intervene, but Leomon shrinks down, back to Elecmon again, the bullet whizzing by overhead. “Woah! Woah.” You cut in, “No, he’s with me, he’s the one responsible for taking out the creep. It was a Betsumon, he broke in here and tried to take my friend over there.”
Sistermon glances between the five of you, more of her employees peering into the room behind her, looking ready for a fight, before you spot Casey, Jeff and Ms Kelli trying to cram in for a look at the back.
Slowly, the madame laughs nervously, leaning down and patting Elecmons’s hed. “We-uh, that is I- would humbly like to apologise, on behalf of the Come Innside, for allowing you to be accosted in such a manner on our premises.” She sweeps a hand towards the door, “Please, take any room you like, you can stay here on the house, free food, drink and services on me.”
You haul Eva up, as she hugs Demi to her chest, holding another hand out for Tink to flutter too, you shuffle towards another room.
You’re suddenly very tired. You give the others as quick a rundown as you can while still walking, promising to tell them the rest tomorrow.
The main floor, below the balcony, flickers like static, changing for a moment, to a grinning Sukamon’s face, before changing back. “Damn glitchwaves!” Someone sighs.
You lay Eva on her bed, still silent, she hugs Demi into her chest, her pajamas torn a little over her stomach. “Dash?” She finally breaks her silence. “Thanks for… everything. And Leomon too.”
Your vision’s starting to swim, a burning behind your eyes telling you to sleep as soon as possible.
>”No worries” Get your own room.
>Kiss the grill
>Sleep here, talk later.
You fall forwards onto the mattress. “Sleep now. Talk later.” You grunt, curling up to your pillow.
Your dreams are… odd. You see that weird kid from class, the angry one who was always wearing a hat pointing at something and looking self righteously furious, an indistinct shape letting out a blast into the dark.
Then there’s the Asian kid from school, hunched over Daisy’s laptop, typing furiously, his face lit by the screen, as huge walls rise around him, blocking him from sight.
You see a spiny… seed looking thing, it’s shell cracking open and blooming into a red flower, branches quickly growing off the stem and turning to wood, roots splitting out of it, with a chorus of screams.
And lastly… you’re not quite sure what you’re staring at, bubbles rise up towards you, rushing at your eyes, while two enormous, glowering lights stare at you, in the shapes of eyes, before shaking side to side, and you know you’ve been judged lacking.
You wake with a start, feeling hands on your body. Huh?
You crack your eyes open, several of Sistermon’s girls working on you, filing your nails, cleaning your feet, removing excess hair.
“Wuh?” You mutter wordlessly, looking around you see Elecmon getting a similar treatment next to you, his fur given a brushing til he shines, claws trimmed and manicured.
You thank them, but push them off of you, leaving Elecmon to enjoy his pampering.
Weird dreams, weird awakening. You head into the bathroom, planning on dunking your head under the water, only for to see a red lipstick mark left on your cheek.
Huh? Wonder who left that? No one you know wears red lipstick, nor did any of the digimon who had been working on you.
Ah, you’ll figure it out some other later.
>End of Digimang Quest 11
she's around, no need to PANIC!
Anyway, did we enjoy GATTSmon
"Oh you want to see me digivolve? Sure I think I can manage that."
"Uh why are youloosening my belt? Wh-where'd you dress go? WHAT'S going ON?!?!?"
The alternative is Guardromon or one of her evolutions threatening to blow him up if he doesn't whip it out and fuck her. Likely after lots of her flirting with him and him failing to pick it up.
someone suggested to chuckles in an anonkun quest I was reading that guardromon turns into Gynomon instead of Andromon or whatever mega
He also suggested using toasterchan for a reference image
It'd be a bit more interesting for there to be a team of kids against our own, though I imagine how long it takes us to find them will determine that.
Remembering what Chuckles said about sensei, they might be seeded
