What are the most repeated threads that seem to pop up on here /tg/? What ones do you remember that you want to come back? It's like they have a 1++ It Will Not Die.
The various incestuous generals.
"Excuse me X..."
That Guy/GM/Girl thread
"hurr durr GW prices are too le high, i made a le online petition to get them to lower them! sign plox XDDDDD!"
Meanwhile in bizarro /tg/
That mages guild shit.
They're so stupid and cringey because they have no purpose other than to serve as a massive circlejerk. Also
>What would happen if x was in the 40k universe?
Spoiler alert; nothing interesting.
well some are slightly more subtle than others
the one i linked wasnt, obv.
really it could've been both.
I do prefer the scaly threads tho. there's really nowhere else they'd fit in well outside of /b/
>How do I roleplay female characters?
>What makes female characters different from male characters?
>Should female characters have stat penalties?
>How do I play female characters and not be creepy?
>Post your stories of guys playing female characters
You retards talk about women as if they were a separate species, almost totally unknowable to the male mind. Reminds me of that one MST3K sketch
>We haven't had one of those in well over half a year.
>I haven't seen one for at least a few months.
Read this right here, caconiggers: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/44875784/#q44875784
You're both fucking casuals, probably crossboarders from /co/ or /a/. Lurk the fuck moar, and stop talking shit like you know anything about this board.
I have to admit that I participated in the first few threads that created the Zarthas whatever the fuck shit and the few good screen caps that came from it.
What I will point out for anyone still posting those threads, it was only popular because we derailed the entire thing and made a mockery of the fact that one poster posted the same thread every day. They are as cancerous as the frodo fly the eagle to mordor threads and will never live up to those moments because those that made them fun moved on.
You're really just as bad, because what you thought was EPIC DERAILING was really just stroking OP's ego by adding to his post count.
That, and the derailing was never actually any good. It's the sort of thing where anytime a group does something purely out of spite, they tend to congratulate themselves considerably more than they should.
The "if you see a troll thread, you should derail it" idea is a relic of the days when the post cap was set at 100 and the catalog system didn't exist. Now, reporting and ignoring them is really the only proper modus operandi.
Did the cunt who kept trying to say he was a normal human man with a ring from the guilds that could shut down all magic finally fuck off?
I was there for like the first three and he was so pissy I thought he would have a stroke.
Magefag detected. Cry harder. Your threads are the words kind of cringelord circlejerk. The only thing that could make them worse would be katana-teleport tier bullshit that infests most freeforms, but then the only reason you don't have that is because that wouldn't be "quirky" enough for your redditor-tier sensibilities. Die, die, and die.
>stop using memes on 4chan
Sorry chum, but no. And if you can't get past it, then you are the autists. Signifier-signified. That's all you need. Being picky about tone just means you don't have an argument.
Stay mad and cry harder, autismo. :^))))))))))))
Now that you mention it, it's been a while since I've seen an "Elf slave, wat do" thread.
Not that I miss them, mind you, but they do seem rare these days.
Regulars I enjoy the most:
>Best of /tg/
>Meanwhile in [Insert theme] /tg/
>being this hyperbolic
I'm not making the argument for or against Mage Guild threads. I don't get mad about threads I don't like because I hide/filter them, unlike you.
Using memes instead of your brain is only allowed on /b/, /r9k/, and /s4s/. Everywhere else, global rule #6 is in effect.
If you don't want to be treated like a troll, you might want to tone it down. There's literally no reason to act like you are fresh from /b/ outside of /b/.
If you want to act like you are, just stay in /b/.
I hate these the most because it inevitably turns into a dick-measuring contest as both sides defend their precious precious IP and try to convince the other side that no our thing is stronger than your thing. The only fun thing to do with them anymore is to post One Punch Man to bring out the kneejerk anti-weebs and watch the 40kids squirm to counter someone with such vaguely-defined abilities.
I'm not fond of stat me threads either, but that's because OP rarely if ever offers any suggestions for system or a starting point. Just a picture and stat me. It's so lazy.
Speaking of fucking lazy, this. Filename threads are fine once in a while when people have had time to come up with actual clever names and trawl other boards or sites for good pictures. I wish there was a mandatory two week cooldown on any thread with filename in the subject or title.
>entry level plebs
>either politically correct or SJWish or /pol/-tier memefronters
>don't contribute to boards, just steal content for upvotes and gold
>are responsible for much of the memespam on 4chan
There's plenty wrong with reddit.
CYOA. I honestly don't understand the point of CYOA threads.
>hey, here's a picture, choose some things
>people choose some things
>it doesn't go anywhere, except maybe a short lived conversation or two or an argument about best girl
>on to the next picture
I also don't know what point JumpChain has, but I'll admit I've spent no time trying to figure it out. The very mild lurking I've done (occasionally seeing it on page 0) tells me it's in the same vein as CYOA.
Quests. Don't really need to say more than that. At least the crapfest that was Magical Butler Quest or whatever it was called is long dead. Mahou Shonen? Something like that, I take the fact that I can't remember to be a positive thing.
I've long filtered it, but really, what the fuck is JumpChain? I even tried reading it but I just don't get it.
>don't contribute to boards, just steal content for upvotes and gold
This annoys me. I write a lot for /tg/, and while I'm fine with and even a little honored to have so many of my stories get screencapped and reposted here, it's very different to see people take them and share them on Reddit for Upvotes.
I'm just glad that they don't pretend to be the writers themselves, because that would be a declaration of war.
>stupid fetish, wat do
These breeds of nonsense, I'm fairly convinced, are a handful of people peddling bait for the easy market that is /tg/. Not that the rest of this isn't, but something about these threads in particular smacks of
>Men should NEVER roleplay women because they don't UNDERSTAND the SUBTLETIES of female psychology
>but it's okay for humans to play Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Robots, Bugmen, Vampires, and half-Demons
I think /tg/ would be a lot better with some weekly threads instead of eternal. It would actually be really cool like if the mods could sticky a discussion of a certain game for the day, like world of darkness, shadowrun, etc...
Board game general, painting, funny images, complaints, stories, etc. Lots of things could be wrapped up into their weekly stickied megathread.
you don't even know what you're saying woman
but seriously 90% of quests are dumb as fuck
Since almost everything I'd say has already been mentioned, I just want to say that I'm so glad the stupid "ALL X PARTY" threads have finally died, and I desperately hope the rest of the pseudo-quests follow them.
I'm going to piggyback with similar sentiments.
That Disney Villains setting thing was finally put down, right? Or have they been popping up while I'm not looking? I hope they managed to put a stop to that, it was getting to Harem Knights levels.
Speaking of which, I'm glad they finally killed that, too. What a miserable thing.
The thinly veiled fetish threads.
They've always been there, but they've been showing up WAY more recently. Every fucking day, there's a goddamn "hey teejee let's talk about my fetish" and they don't even try to hide it. Christ.
Tg is starting to become SFW /d/.
What's funny is what happens when you them to go back to /d/
>Fetishes are part of /tg/ culture!
>Fuck off, prude/virgin/reddit!
>It's not a fetish thread, there are like five whole worldbuilding posts ITT!
>People like you ruined this board, I remember the good old days when we could dump monstergirl porn!
Wait, to sidetrack here, I totally get what you're saying about setting threads that get driven into the ground, and my personal list is pretty much: >>45314500
But, I don't really get what the problem is with story-threads of any stripe, flavor of the month or otherwise (I honestly didn't find any of them except the All Sisters Party painful to read). I mean, if you start throwing those out, then what is actually left? Mechanics, MTG, What system to X (it's always GURPS), Generals, and nostalgia... That's /lit/ levels of content drought...
