I do wonder why people still think that Iron Hands are still hate and repressed emotions.
Didn't they finally realized how bad of an idea it was after the whole incident with the Sapphire King on Gaudinia Prime and got better?
I mean that was a chapter wide character development where they finally embraced their emotions and went cyborg Angry Marines on the Slaaneshi there.
Darn. Finally the Iron Hands ceased to be this asshole and people can't let it go.
At least it is something, though I'd like to see the rest of the Clans to be fleshed out. So far half of them got some fleshing out while the rest simply exist.
I just wonder why people still seem to think that Iron Hands fans still believe that Ferrus Manus can come back.
We all know he can't. This meme is stupid.
Agreed. Although I like Iron Hands, I don't believe that Manus will come back.
I mean Horus got Ferrus's skull from Fulgrim who decapitated the Iron Hands Primarch in personal combat.
And if he ever returned, then it would be an asspull of galactic proportions.
Although I did hear rumors that the AdMech got their hands secretly on his body, but how one would get it from Isstvan? I mean the place got virus bombed.
SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH! MANUS WILL RETURN! AND IT WILL BE GLORIOUS!
The reason I'm most excited for this is the fact that they just may bring primarchs back for 40K. Lion and Russ are still both alive, Sanguinious may have some shit going on, every chapter of the blood angels line is even gathered around their home planet. I'm cautiously following this storyline, it'd be interesting to have them confront a shard of Magnus as well.
Yeah, some thing went down with him and he split into various different magnus shards, each going the tzeentchian route and having different motivations and goals. Hence you can have an army supported by Magnus fighting against an uprising lead by Magnus, while Magnus plots in the background about how much he hates the space wolves.
What you just said is overloading my processor as I'm coding them into my memory core brother.
we've been battle brothers a long time now. Through thick and thin we've been able to stay the course (remember the Medusa Schism? boy that fucking sucked).
That's why it's so hard to have to tell you guys this...
The whole "metal over flesh" thing, while true and ordained by the Omnissiah, only really "works" if you're efficient about it.
Like I get that getting a new bionic is liable to give you a stiffy and I'd be lying if what's left of my cock doesn't get that much harder when I get a new mechandendrite socketed but the Mechanicus only "upgrades" when it makes sense.
Take a minute to imagine all the servomechanics and metal you'd save if you didn't lop off one of every recruits hand? For the sake of time we've already had Logis Kenzor take a swing at and the results are pretty telling.
Know how you don't really have much Tactical Dreadnough Armor to spare?
Well...let's just say we know where all the resources that could've been spent building more have ended up at.
Anyway, just wanted to give some friendly advice before the next time the Administratum has a gander at your books.
The Omnissiah Protects and all that.
That's basically what we do with our Skitarii since their combat statistics tend to rise if we let them have just enough emotional response to really hate the enemy.
>Magi Biologis actually believe this
Get out of here Lachrimallus flesh peddlers.
>trying to make our successors think this way too.
Good luck with those SoM...
You should see our conclaves with the nutty "astronomicon fortune tellers". I swear you can hear incense burn in the braziers when they show up.
I mostly meant to indicate that the chambers got quiet as the grave when the "Medusaen Contingent" barged in and attempted to once again convince us that the Emperor is trying to talk through the Astranomicon like some kind of hive parlor trick.
SoM are a little too interconnected with said "fortune tellers" for my tastes and many others in the Mechanicus.
Steel Confessors, on the other hand, that's a chapter after my own bionic heart even if they were cruelly removed from our loving bosom by the Inquisition.
if they ever do an end times for 40k, I have an idea how that can turn out.
Baal is being overrun by the tyranids, successor chapters are falling everywhere, and then warp rifts.
Every ship that the lamenters lost, and knowing their luck, it's alot of them, show up, warping into key hive ships, likely killing most of marines and crewmen, but the sons of the angel have a chance and they drive off the tyranids.
And then like 4 different chapter masters of the lamenters meet up and dont know what to do about rank.
Yo, anybody here want to go beat up some mutant heretical Space Wolves?
You think THAT'S why people don't put the Iron Hands in their Fave Five?
My problem is that they have no personality outside of "The Flesh Is Weak" which it's proven to be incorrect and that's it. They have NOTHING else that stands out.
Also that guy there has a red-lined shoulder guard and I don't see a second head on the icon on his championship belt. Are you even sure that's an Iron Hand and not a Ravenguard with a gimp leg?
brother, I weep for thee, for as my brother I know thine pain, and thine suffering.
Thou art the beloved of a primarch who has left, but fret not, o brother of iron.
for we, too come from the loving bosom of the emperor without the love of a true father primarch.
yet still our glory spreadeth o'er the fields of stars gloriously.
be still brother, come to my arms, weep your tears and i shall cradle thee until thine pain hath left, for thou art blessed, and mine love for thou is befitting as a brother.
brother, hatred ist thine greatest tool indeed, but mine fear is that thou hast forgotten the love of brotherhood, and the strength of unity
thou art mine brother, thou art loved
I have not genitalia, heretic, and thine planet shall suffer for insulting us
warp fucking yes
YES! May those unfortunate sons of Sanguinius have fortune smile upon them for once.
Indeed. Of all the successors of ours, the Steel Confessors are the most level-headed ones.
I wonder what the Iron Lords are doing. Last time I've heard they were going overzealous with purging Tyranids.
Puns are stacking here.
Image error. Raven Guard has identical coloring.
Reminder that instead of being angry or struggling to repress your emotions you can go full machine.
>Every Iron Hands squad was active, spread out across the labyrinthine interior. When he chose to, Telach could see them all in his mind, arranged like dots of starlight amid the huge backdrop of the hive spire. The younger the warriors were, the brighter their light burned. The veterans of the Chapter, those like Khatir and Rauth, only shone dimly in the dark, like the afterglow of a lumen after the power has been cut.
>He knew why that was. Perhaps only the Chapter’s Librarius really understood the price the Iron Hands paid for their physical enhancement.
>What would happen, Telach wondered, if an Iron Hand ever achieved the perfection he craved? What would happen if, by some miracle of bioengineering, the very last fragments of organic matter were stripped from his metal skeleton? Would he register at all on Telach’s map of souls, or would he slip into nothingness, lost in the background coldness of the material universe?
The Sapphire King is basically Daemon-Ferrus. Al of his frustration and hate turned into a Daemon. So part of him made the Daemon. So part of him actually survived his death to become a Daemon.
I dunno. There's something funny about you...
Bah. Probably some Unknown Founding faggots. Come along everybody!
The ginormous event that caused the Iron Hands to experience a Chapter-wide character development.
Due to the death of Ferrus Manus and the 10K years of suppressed emotions by the Iron Hands, the Sapphire King was spawned.
A Slaaneshi Daemon Prince that represented all the suppressed emotions by the Iron Hands, it turned those who came close to him into Chaos Spawns or outright corrupted them the more the sons of Manus tried to fight it with logic.
The Iron Hands permanently destroyed the Daemon Prince and its host comprised of Emperor's Children and Slaaneshi Daemonkin by finally deactivating their emotion inhibitors and turning into cyborg Angry Marines.
Since then they went out to try to control their emotions instead which resulted in them becoming nicer.
Sapphire King is a Keeper of Secrets, and for that matter not probably dead since they just whacked his physical form. Daemon Princes aren't born from emotions.
But it's confirmed that not all Daemon Princes were originally mortals.
A certain currently memetastic Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided was created by the Chaos Gods in 40K as both the first and last Undivided Daemon Prince and first Daemon Prince in general.
I still miss ordinary Daemon Princes of Chaos Undivided.

Read Rebirth they may be dropping some information about this
Apparently a truce was made between the Iron Hands and Imperial Fists where the Fists returned the skull of Ferrus Manus to the Hands, it may have been in an effort to avoid teh fuckstorm that the Codex was causing
People actually think that? His head was cut off. The Iron Hands know that. They actually get pretty mad if you imply he might still be alive, because his failing has become so central to their mindset.
I've been working on an Iron Hands successor, and part of their fluff is that they're supposed to be just tech-heretical enough that their parent chapter and the Mechanicus don't want much to do with them. That and they're actually pretty nice for Iron Hands successors.
But is believing that the spirits of their battle brothers live on as machine spirits of their armor, weapons, bionics, and vehicles really heretekal? Specifically that the machine spirits aren't spirits of machines, but of men. I need to know if this is a flawed concept or not.
Hold on a sec, his logic is flawed from the beginning. His argument was presented thus:
1) Genitals are necessary for sexual orientation.
2) I have no genitals.
3) Therefore, I have no sexual orientation.
The flaw isn't in that he wouldn't suffer any insult, but in the fact that he's assuming a lack of genitals implies a lack of sexual orientation. One of his premises is untrue, therefore his argument is unsound and invalid. But it isn't fallacious logic.
LOGIC FALLACY - you state his logic was not fallacious, AFTER having stated "his logic is flawed from the beginning."
Fallacious logic is the hallmark of Chaos - PURGE THE HERETIC!!!!
But wait - a fallacy isn't as general as 'a flaw in an argument.' You either have a formal fallacy, which is a logical error that occurs in the form or structure of an argument (like affirming the consequent), or you have an informal fallacy which is a mistake in reasoning that occurs in ordinary language (which is like the familiar ad hominem or appealing to fear or force).
In this case, the flaw in his argument was an untrue premise, not a mistake in reasoning or a flawed argument structure.
Eh, I thought it was Curze brought him back? I barely skim-read Vulkan Lives, because Salamanders are probably my joint least favourite Legion (Raven Guard and Salamanders are the shit-tier ones), but I do remember zombie Ferrus.
