Nope. Wizards knows the last 2cmc planeswalker was unplayable garbage, so if they ever printed another at 2 odds are good they'd overcompensate. Failing the "Bolt test" is also probably a big enough "downside" in their minds that more powerful abilities at 2 loyalty could pass muster.

The +1 is fairly whatever, though first strike is a stretch in hindsight. The -2 is a mixed bag, as they're on a kick of never letting lands come down off spells/abilities. The effect itself is a mix of Ghost Quarter and Tec Edge, falling between the two in terms of what it can target, how fast it works, and whether or not it replaces the land. The -4 is irrelevant because ultimates are 90% of the time.

Clearly it'd only be likely as a fuckup, and not especially likely even then. But there's a rationale behind the details that's in line with how Wizards has fucked up in the past.

Guys, guys.

They don't need to ban the Eldrazi sol lands.
They just need to reprint Ancient Tomb into standard.

If the ult comes out on turn 4 it's not irrelevant you dumb cunt. Planeswalker ultimates are generally irrelevant because walkers cost enough mana that your opponent will usually have some sort of a board that will threaten to just kill you/your walker before the ult matters.

Your stupidly imbalanced card comes down turn 2, after you played a 1 drop if you are in white weenies/soul sisters or you path to exiled their 1 drop. Then it creates a token to protect itself. Turn 3 you do literally anything, create ANOTHER chump blocker to stop their goyf or whatever, and then ult turn 4. If you are on the play it becomes even worse for your opponent, to the point where they NEED to have a bolt in hand or they fall to an unplayble deficit of card advantage.

For once Magic failed to take a lesson from Hearthstone instead of the other way around.
