>In this Quest you will be playing the mentor to the Power Rangers, the reformed Prince of Darkness: Lord Zedd
>Now accomplished archaeologist, Professor Desmond Lorde has discovered five morphers that he dubbed 'Primalizers' but with it he has unleashed the five great Beast Generals who seek to return their former Kingdom into it's glory.
>Your goal is to find five suitable candidates to wield the Primalizers and save the world from the 'Animal Kingdom' that threatens to turn humanity into their slaves.
>Your choices will decide the fate of the world.
Ladies, gentlemen and others. Welcome my friends to Power Rangers Primal Force
(We will be using the suits of Zyuohger however the plot, weapons and zords may be different. Because Minecraft Rangers is too silly for me to take seriously. Unless you guys really want too.)
(At the end of each update you will be given options to vote after ten minutes time.)
(I will ignore samefagging, or shitposting.)
Looking down at your desk, you look at photo of your beloved wife. Formerly Rita Repulsa, she had long reformed and become the master of white magic known simply as 'The Mystic Mother'. It had been many years since she left to complete her training and only letters had been your only form of communication. Which had mysteriously stopped a month ago without warning.
Only for her to appear in his dreams the night before to tell you that you were in grave danger. She warned you of the dangers of your recent discovery
and urged you to find five worthy wielders of the morphers.
Glancing to the morphers resting in their display, each was shaped like an animal and distinctly a different color from one another. White Tiger, Yellow Lion, Red Eagle, Blue Shark and Green Elephant. Each would grant a person extraordinary powers, connecting them to the fabled Morphing Grid that would arm them with the power to stop the oncoming evil.
You look around at your 'Command Center' and frown. It was going to need to do some cleaning up before he found any rangers however. This place was a mess.
>Choose your command center (This will decide where your base is held and what city your located in)
>A. Secret Labratory
>B. Bomb Shelter
>C. Hillhurst Mansion
>D. A floating island
>E. A pizza joint
I'll give you guys a little longer to figure out where your base is, since this is an important plot point.
Also I agree. The animal faces on the suit look odd but besides that I like the suits a lot actually.
Two for bomb shelter so far.
If nothing else beats this in the next ten minutes I will lock it in as your choice.
And yes. Hillhurst Mansion implies exactly what you think.
I do like the overall design as well, but they definitely should have gone with a simplified/stylized animal symbol. Digging the helmets though. Gives me a Gaoranger/Wild Force feel
You made your base in an old gigantic bomb shelter in Stone Canyon. Ironically it had been made in case you and Rita had won and the city's civilians needed a place to hide out. Now it was transformed into a state of the art command center, miles below the city and only able to enter through a portal system through the morphing grid.
Since your reform as the professor you have been able to study the technology that your old self had longed to control. You have become an expert on the subject.
The collateral attack vehicles connected to the rangers also sat in bunkers deep within the earth and could be summoned at any time once they found their wielders.
Which was the problem. You have no idea who would be worthy for these morphers. You scanned all of Stone Canyon, and even all of California to find anyone suitable for your needs. However the overbearing, overemotional teenagers of today were not like the teenagers with attitude you fought in your reign as lord of evil. All they cared about now was staying on their smart phones, or sticking their heads in social media. Besides the idea of using child soldiers was really unappealing to your new self.
You thought of recruiting civilians or military personnel also fell through. While people who have actual training would be bet, they would also have other superiors they would need to report too. Something you couldn't allow.
Then a thought comes to you. You know exactly what kind of rangers you need.
>A. Monsters! Why not reform them, like you were?
>B. Aliens! Contract aliens from spaaaace!
>C. Fuck it, civilians with attitude
>D. Mercenaries? Like the military but without the paperwork.
If only for the shockfactor.
And the hotblood.
"Computer, show me some all available mercenary profiles." Many files filled the screen in front of you. The large computer was connected to the morphing grid and beyond that it was connected to every living person the planet. All connected by a bio-matrix of energy given off by life itself. The very planet had created a weapon to defend itself and used humanity as it's tool. It was also useful to browse.
Several possible candidates caught your eye but none of them what you needed. Teams back by corporations were eliminated and instead you focused on independent military teams. Narrowing your selection down to the five best teams based on their profiles.
>A. The Peacekeepers: A team of meta-humans who utilize their gifts to stopping terrorist groups, criminals and anyone else who threatens the security of daily day to day living.
(Comes with Civilian Powers)
>B. The Guardsmen: Technologically enhanced mercenaries who use their own exo-power suits and internal cybernetics to deal with abnormal threats much like the Rangers do.
(Comes with their own tech)
>C. The Vigil: Normal humans who go against abnormal odds every day and with training and constant studying they try to better themselves and the world around them.
(Basically average humans with a lot of hot blood)
>D. The Silver Guardians: Do I really need to explain these guys?
(Not technically a merc group but...I'm gonna let it slide)
>E. Other: I'm down with any team ideas you've got if the above are shit to you.
Gonna let you have a bit longer to decide on this.
Guess I shouldn't assume.
Straight from the wiki
There a group from my favorite season, Time Force.
>The Silver Guardians are an organization used to stop crime in Silver Hills, used by Mr. Collins to make a profit from the people they helped. Under Eric's leadership, the Silver Guardians protected Silver Hills from Ransik's mutants and held a tenuous relationship with the Time Force Rangers. At the end of the series, Wes became co-leader of the Silver Guardians with Eric, and the Silver Guardians became a non-profit agency.
IIRC, the Silver Guardians were from Time Force.
It comes with the added benefit of Virgil (THE Virgil, from Devil May Cry) himself, so...
I'm torn between A and C, because with A we get a mix of SPD and RPM. Whereas with C, we go full anime.
Let's go with A.
However the overbearing, overemotional teenagers of today were not like the teenagers with attitude you fought in your reign as lord of evil.
You have no idea how sad that makes me.
>C. The Vigil: Normal humans who go against abnormal odds every day and with training and constant studying they try to better themselves and the world around them.
I think they would appreciate the power the most.
>You have chosen the Peacekeepers
I was gonna leave that up to a vote.
If you guys want interchangeable sets that's cool, or individual weapons I'm down.
Or both. We could do interchangeable side weapons and individual main weapons.
We'll get to that actually right after I introduce the team.
The Peacekeepers seemed like the best choice to you. While the others were capable, you needed a team who were already use to having abilities and could work together as a team with them. Perfect for the powers that they would obtain. You look over each profile for each possible candidates and began to look up video footage of some of their work.
>Jimmy Mercer: An adomopathic and leader of the team. He's able to replicate any phyiscal movement just by sight. His civilian identity is a boxing coach at a gym called 'The Aces'.
>Michelle Hart: A healer and the medical expert of the team. She acts as the team's conscience and often acts as the therapist for the team.
>Daniel Son: With super human strength and given the role of mechanic, Daniel is the youngest but biggest member of the group. Often seen as 'the muscle' he's actually quite smart and works on the group's weaponry and vehicles.
> Brad Ford: A speedster and the group's scout. He prefers working on his own but understands that being apart of the team means he needs to rely on others.
>Amanda Cole: Gifted with shapeshifting , Amanda acts as the group's spy and was a former criminal until the team picked her up on one of their missions. She views herself as the only sane member of the group.
The connection to each person and the morphers seemed obvious to you. Almost as if each one was tailored to the powers in question. Odd really.
>A. Observe them on a mission.
>B. Teleport them directly to you.
>C. Grab lunch and study them some more.
You decide to observe the team on a mission. The screen flashing for a moment before reorienting on the group in what appeared to be an ancient ruins. Which to your shock had symbols similar to the Primalizer's themselves. Which meant they walking right into one of the Beast General's bases.
"Uh-oh." Your hand hovered to activate the teleporter but another part of you kinda wanted to see what was going to happen. They were going to have to fight them anyway may as well see how they fair.
"Why are we here?" The one named Daniel asked, pushing aside the giant doors that blocked the building's entrance. A long set of stairs downwards and darkness was all they could see down in the ruins.
"Reports of missing people all connected to the ruins of this place. We're here to find them." The leader, Jimmy said turning on a flash light and shining it down the stairway. Which simply only showed more stairs and carvings.
"Oh man that's deep. Did I mention I don't like tight enclosed spaces?" Brad grunted, his words almost speeding out of his mouth as if someone put him on fast-forward.
"I didn't know you were claustrophobic Bradley." Michelle mused, tapping him on the arm. "It'll be fine. What's the worse that could happen?" She asked as they made their way down stairs.
"Don't-" Amanda tried to say but a loud 'boom!' and the doors behind them caved in as she finished her words. "-say that. Damnit. I knew that was going to happen."
"Don't worry I got this!" Daniel said, readying his fist at the wall. Only for Jimmy to grab his arm and shook his head.
"You'll bring the whole place down on us. Whatever is here, it knows we're here. Our only choice is to keep going." He grunted, directing the team further down the stairs.
After nearly a half an hour of walking they found themselves in a large room with a coffin in the center and an organ playing itself behind it. "Who the hell installed a piano down here?" Asked Brad, zipping around the room at high speeds. "Matter of fact, this thing almost new!"
"That's because it is new and it's organ." Daniel answered, playing several of the keys on it. "This was put together at least a month ago. The same time as the kidnappings started." He looked warily over at the coffin. While the other members gathered around it.
"Think we'll find Dracula underneath here?" Amanda asked sarcastically. "Here me without a bowie knife, stakes or even some garlic." She tapped the top of the coffin but nothing happened. "Hey start singing Danny. You've got a voice that can wake the dead."
"My singing voice is lovely! My mom even said so!" Retorted Danny and the two got into a argument about Daniel's singing voice. Danny even belting out a few lines of Johnny Cash to prove or rather disprove his point.
"Shut-up!" Jimmy snapped as he withdrew a pair of tonfas and pointed to the opposite end of the room. "We've got company. I think I know what happened to all those missing people."
From the shadows emerged what appeared to be pale people with red glowing eyes and long canines covered in blood. Suddenly the coffin began to shake and the organ had started to play ominous music on it's own. The team was surrounded by vampires and their leader was about to wake.
>What do you do
>A. Continue watch
>B. Get them out there!
>C. Send them the morphers via teleporter
"DENIED!" Shouted Daniel slamming his fist back down on the coffin's lid as it was being raised open. He quickly pressed down on it but it was clear whatever was underneath it was even pushing his great strength to the limits. "Guys! Finish them quickly! Whatever this is, it's strong!"
Amanda and Michelle both fired off several rounds from their rifles brought with them. The bullets whizzed and struck the undead but all it did was by them a moment or two. Which happened to be all Brad needed to speed around them and use his own weapon a large blade that he used to shear the heads off of them.
"Bullets don't work." Amanda growled dropping her weapon and she began to go into a dead sprint at them before transforming into a large tiger that ripped through the vampiric entities like wet paper. They tried to swarm her but Michelle kept firing her own round at their heads to keep them off of Amanda.
Meanwhile James flipped through the air like a gymnast, he ran through the ghoulish horde with the skills of a parkour runner before breaking limbs and snapping necks like a martial expert. His tonfas while not exactly the best weapons for the situations, he used them to get rid of the sharp fangs that tried to snap down on his soft flesh.
The music from the organ stopped and the coffin stopped moving. Daniel kept his hands down on it but his concern for his friends left him distracted. In one powerful 'woosh' the lid erupted and sent Daniel flying into the organ, and tumbling to the ground.
The sound of leathery wings and laughter filled with ruins. The rest of the ghouls stopped and all bowed to the ground for their leader.
"After so long I'm awake." His voice like nails on chalkboard. "I see my pets have brought me morsels to wet my appetite before the main course." He licked his lips, making a sucking noise with his teeth and tongue. He picked Daniel up and sniffed him for a moment. "Ooh and you're a special meal too..."
The Peacekeepers were outnumbered and while they fought with every effort they could, it was apparent they were on the losing side.
>A. Teleport them out of there
>B. Send them the morphers
>C. Continue Watching
>B. Send them the morphers
ITS MORPHIN TIME
You decide enough is enough. Turning to the display case, you open it and begin to prime them for each member of the group. Settling yourself into your command post, you turn on your microphone and video feed as you send each morpher off in the teleporter. Each vanishing a flash of light that went with the color associated with them. On the screen each member of the Peacekeeper's arm lit up.
"What the hell!?" Shouted the vampire beast general, stumbling back trying to shield his eyes from the light. The ghouls hissed in response to the morpher's arriving, and scampered into the darkness as if the sun had just appeared in the room. "No! How dare you!" He hissed out. "Thieves! You steal our weapons and use them against us?!"
"I don't know what your talking about..." Asked James, raising arm. He looked down at the Eagle Morpher with a broad grin on his face. ", but I know what this means." The group got together, with Amanda back in her human form and perplexed by the arrival of the morphers.
"I don't know what this means." Brad grunted, stopping right next them.
"Just follow me." James assured, and then forming a pose he raised his arms. "It's morphin time!"
In a display of chromatic colors, each ranger was engulfed in a bright light that even caused the vampires to hiss in pain as a result. When the lights died down, they stood in formation in armor.
"What? Spandex? Seriously?" Daniel asked, patting himself. "Lame!"
>A. Have them use their side weapons
>B. Have them use their main weapons
>C. Introduce yourself
>D. Correct them that's it not spandex!
>F. Let them figure it out.
(Feel free to use more then one here.)
"That is not spandex! The material is a self-assembling nano-fiber formed with an inter-cellular shape memory alloy." You explain slightly annoyed at calling it spandex. Your best monsters couldn't even put a dent into the stuff and calling it that was just demeaning.
"Who the hell are you?" Brad hissed.
"I don't care who he is. Do you feel that power?" Amanda said excitedly.
"I've never felt so strong in my life..." Michelle said, looking at her hands in awe. James remained silent, but calmly stepped towards the Beast General. Who nervously stepped back at the appearance of the group.
"No! That was our power! You filthy humans, give it back!"
"Oh you want it back?" You say, a smile crossing your face. "Ladies and gentlemen, give it too him. Call out 'Primal Edge activate!'and you'll get your weapons."
"Alright. Let's do what the mysterious voice who sent us these toys tell us." James said, raising hand again. "Primal Edge, activate!" They shouted. Each of the rangers gaining a blade that matched their color.
"I'm Professor Desmond Lorde, and those are Primalizers. Don't break them."
"Alright!" Brad said, as his immense speed empowered by his new Lion ability let him become a yellow shimmer as he struck at the Beast General. Next was Michelle and Amanda hitting him together and causing him to fly into the air. Only for James and Daniel to meet him up there and send him crashing back down to the ground. Sending sparks flying everywhere.
"GRAAAAH!" Vlad shouted, pulling himself up. "Feed me my children. Give me your strength!" He commanded. The ghouls had smoke pouring off their bodies, leaving nothing but skeletal remains. The smoke all moved around the Beast General, healing his wounds and making him stronger.
"Got anything else for us boss?" The Red Eagle ranger asked, gripping his hands on the hilt of his sword.
>A. Tell them about the side arms
>B. Tell them about their main weapons
>C. Teleport them outta there!
"Oh yes, I do actually. To trade out your primal edges, simply call out 'Animal Arsenal Activate' and you'll gain your main weapons." You say, watching as the Beast General slowly walk towards them with anger in his eyes.
"Animal Arsenal Activate!" They shout and their short swords vanished and replaced with a unique weapon.
"Primal Tonfas!" Shouted James, defending Vlad's attack with a pair of enhanced versions of the Tonfas he had before.
"Primal Hammer!" Shouted Daniel, throwing the hammer at Vlad and sending him flying off of James.
"Primal Staff!" Michelle slammed her staff down as Vlad tried to get up, but the beast general managed to grab it and sent her flying and held her staff in his hands.
"Enough!" He shouted only for a yellow blur to strike him and take the staff away before he could respond.
"Primal Fans!" Brad said, tossing the staff back to Michelle. Amanda was last striking with a pair of blue sabers.
"Primal Sabers!" She held one sword in a reverse grip, using it to block Vlad's own blade while striking with other.
"Damn-it!" Vlad shouted, stumbling back. "I...will...not...DIE!" Suddenly his body began to tremble and crack. Then like glass it suddenly shattered to pieces.
"Well...that was easy." James side, slowly lowering his tonfas. "Isn't something else suppose happen?"
>A. Tell them it's not over yet
>B. Start sending them the zords
>C. Stay silent and watch
"It's not over yet." You say, very familiar with next process. You could almost hear 'Make my Monster grow' in the voice of your beloved when she had been the empress of evil.
"What? The guy fell apart. How is it not over?" Michelle asked. "How's he gonna fight us now? Give us minor cuts if we walk on him?" She asked, tapping the remains with her staff.
"Don't..." Amanda lamented but like before her warning was too late. The glass rose up and formed Vlad once more, but this time he grew bigger and bigger until he broke through the ceiling of the ruins they were. Bringing the very walls down upon them.
"Oh shi-!" Danny shouts, covering head. Only for you to teleport them outside of the ruins before they were horribly crushed. "...it?" He asked, looking up to see a gigantic vampire bat general staring down at them.
"Time to die mortals!" He declared.
"Uh...boss? Got anything for us now?" James asked, worriedly.
"I do indeed. It's time to even the odds." You say prepping their collateral attack vehicles.
>A. Send them their zords individually
>B. Send them their megazord
"We need Primal Power now!" James shouted into the air. As Vlad was about to crush them under his heel, a screech that sounded more like a red tailed hawk then an actual Eagle struck Vlad and knocked him back from the rangers. The sound of an elephant's trumpeting stormed in as the green giant trampled over the Beast General.
"GAH! You're suppose to be working for us! Not the humans!" He shouted in anger, raising his sword and slamming it down at the passing Eagle zord. The bird screeched in pain, flying away from the reach of the sword. A pair of jungle cats were next, the white tiger and yellow lion striking at him with their claws and fangs. "You are our kind! You were meant to kill them! Why have you betrayed us?!" Vlad shouted confused, but all he got was a flying shark going at his throat. More explosions and more sparks fired off before he could wrench the flying aquatic creature off of him. "That's it, you fight with them! You'll die with them!" Firing out an arc of electricity it hit seemed to go from one zord to the other causing them to all roar in pain.
"There dying out there! We have to help them!" Shouted Michelle.
"Professor isn't there anything we can do?"
>A. Tell them how to enter their zords
>B. Tell them how to form a megazord
>C. Tell them how to control their zords from outside the cockpit
>D. Tell them about each zord's own battle mode.
(I'll leave you to imagine what the zord and megazord will look like. Mind you it'll most likely resemble the Wild Force zord mostly)
"Each of your zords connected to you. You can merge with each of them and together you can combine your strengths and defeat this Beast General." You say, sending them the information over their helmets.
"Alright, lets do this guys! Hiyah!" James said, leaping into the air. The Red Eagle swooped down catching him and opened a cockpit for him to enter. The others doing the same all finding themselves at the helm of their zords. "Let's dust this vampire!"
"Right on!" Brad said, his hands a blur on the control of his zord. Daniel, Michelle and Amanda all attacking at once. The vampire roared, his voice becoming a powerful sonic boom that pushed each zord away.
"Let's bring'em together!" Primal Red said, as all five zords lept into the air above Vlad.
"I don't think so!" He said, throwing his blade at them only shocked to find a barrier erected around the forming megazord, causing the blade to rebound and strike him back.
"You know that bio-electrical field that surrounds you? Well it surrounds the zords too. It protects while they transform, so little interruptions like that can't happen." You explain, something that had bugged you all the way to your Emperor of Evil days.
The Megazord formed with the Red Eagle as the head and wings, the yellow lion forming the body, the blue shark and white tiger forming the arms and the green elephant forming the legs.
"Primal Power Megazord!" The team shouts in unison. It was weird how much in sync they were but it only meant that you had chosen the right team. At least you hoped. They sat together in a large cockpit, each manually working the controls.
>A. Tell them about their main weapon
>B. Tell them about their side weapons
>C.Tell them how channel their civilian powers into the megazord.
"Alright, boss. What can this thing do?" James asked, as the two giants held a stare-down that seemed to last forever.
"Many things, but for now you'll only need your main weapons." You respond. "The Beast Blade and the Aquatic Cannon."
"Beast Blade Activate!" The mouth of the tiger's mouth opened up and a long blade sprung out of it, glowing with the same runes as the Primalizer. With one powerful slash it sent the
Beast General tumbling into a mountain. "Aquatic Cannon!" The shark mouth opened up and a barrel extended from it's mouth. A bright blue light charged before firing off a beam of energy into the vampire beast general and pushed him even further into the mountains.
"This...is impossible. I...AM IMMORTAL!" He roared charging at the Megazord. "I have inside me blood of kings! I have no rival! NO MAN CAN BE MY EQUAL!" He struck at them with his hands, sending sparks flying but the Megazord only looke down at him with almost contempt in it's face.
"Good thing we're not all men." Michelle chuckled.
"Did...he just quote Queen lyrics?" Asked Danny.
"I think that was on accident." James said, going back to his com. "Yo, Professor. Got anything we can finish this Twilight Saga reject off with?"
>A. Tell them about their finisher
>B. Tell them about their Civilian Power Channeling
>C. Tell them to improvise.
Stole the weapons from Omnimon. No shame at all!
"In fact you do." Now it was time to unveil a new feature to the zords. "You each have a power within you that can be channeled to the zord. Super Strength, Super Speed, Shape-shifting, Adomopathy, and even healing can all be used by your zords now that you are connected them. Focus on that power you have and channel into the Megazord and together you'll be able to use what all I call 'Super Primal' mode. Go ahead give a whirl." You say, stretching in your seat and almost yawning. So this was what it was like on the other side. To actually win for once. You could almost get used to it.
"Super Primal Mode!" The Megazord roared, each animal head sending a shock-wave that bounced Vlad onto the ground. The Zord began to glow gold and an phantom image of each ranger seem to impose itself over the zord as it charged with super speed at the vampire. With a super enhanced strike it sent Vlad into the air, with the Primal Megazord flying close behind. The zord transformed several times in the blink of moments, becoming each ranger with their weapon striking the beast general until pieces began to fly off of him. Landing on the ground, the Megazord's Lion chest opened and an even larger cannon emerged.
"This...sucks." Vlad's last words before the Rangers used their final attack.
"ROAR OF THE BEAST KING!" The said, as all the golden energy from the zord was channeled through the chest of the zord. It vaporized the vampire leaving nothing, not even ash or dust in the wake of a giant golden lion. The zord took a moment to pose, and an explosion erupted behind them.
>A. Teleport them to Command Center
>B. Teleport them to Stone Canyon and meet them on the surface
"So what happens now?" Danny asked before the zord was whisked away in the same light that had brought the zords there in the first place. In moments they stood unmorphed, standing before Desmond who had his back to them.
Each Ranger gasped in shock to see that the Command Center was an exact replica of your old throne room, besides all the technological upgrades. It even had a large fan in the back and a lot of fog. It was your little way of bringing something old to something new. Besides you always liked that chair, it was fun to spin around in. Which you did slowly and dramatically to reveal yourself to a group of confused meta-humans.
"Hello." You say, standing up and leaning on your Z-staff. "I am Professor Desmond Lorde. Although you would know me better as the former Prince of Darkness Lord Zedd." You smile at their fear in their eyes. It was good to know your old name still held merit even among hardened mercenaries like these. "Since the death of Zordon, I was allowed a second chance at life. Which is why I have decided to mentor the new generation of rangers. You." You say, stepping between them and continued walking past them.
"Zedd? The Zedd?" Brad asked, zipping beside you. "Wow."
"So, why us?" James asked, as the rest of them followed closely behind.
"You were chosen for your abilities, your history and much more. You have proven to me that you are worthy of Ranger name however in order to properly fill you in I need to explain just exactly who you fought." You say, opening a door to the Zord Hangar. Each zord rested, healing themselves from the previous battle. "The Primalizer, these Primal Zords, are all technology developed by the Beast Generals."
"There's more of them? Awww..." Groaned Danny.
"Four more to be precise. With the death of Vlad, they'll be ready for us now. Which is why I've brought you here." You say as you opened another hangar, looking over at Michelle and Danny. "The current zords you have are powerful but they won't be enough for what's to come. Which is why..." The next hangar was much larger then previous one but only housed one zord. Your zord. "Meet Serpentera." The large zord sat in large disrepair, un-moving and heavily damaged it would need a miracle to get it working once more. "Our last hope." You raise a new morpher on your arm shaped like the dragon's head. "And my last chance at redemption."
>TO BE CONTINUED...
Hold on this isn't the end folks! One more post to go!
The remaining Beast Generals watched as their brother was destroyed by their former arsenal and the Rangers were whisked away in a bright white light.
"They killed Vlad!" Fenrir the Wolf General snarled. "We must attack now!"
"Fool." Interrupted Ursa the Bear General. "Vlad was the weakest of us. He required human blood to survive and was always a parasite. His survival was no longer fit for this world."
"They must pay!" Fenrir shouted. Getting up and close to the larger bear general.
"Calm yourself Fenrir. They will pay, but first we must refresh our ranks." The third general, Maru the Snake General said, flicking out his tongue as he spoke. "However with no more Beast Generals we must...improvise. Which is why we are waiting for our glorious leader to return from Angel Grove."
On cue, the three were joined by a fourth beast general. This one a large badger, carrying what seemed to be a large violet egg.
"What is that? It smells horrible, Honei!" Fenrir whined covering his nose. Ursa had to cover her as well but she remained silent.
"Hehehehe. This is more then just an bad egg." Setting it down, the badger scooped what appeared to be violet slime from it. "This is our new ally. Wakey, wakey..."
Suddenly the claw holding the egg opened and the violet egg began to move, morph into unsetteling shapes before it seemed drip all over the ground. The four remained silent, and as Fenrir was going to say something the puddle began to arise and take humanoid shape. A figure inhaled the air and licked his gelationous lips. "EEeeeaaaaahhh....ooph." Yawned the purple man and he looked around. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. THE. OOZE. IS. BACK!"
I'm here Swordanon! Or at least I came back. Don't be discouraged man. I probably would've ran a power rangers Quest a while ago if I thought my writing skills were up for it. I honestly thought you did great for a first time run in terms of update speed and writing quality. If just say to watch out for those typos. As for the apparent lack of interest. Maybe try running on the weekend? I personally thought it was great. Sometimes I feel like the only guy that would love a PR Quest and you proved me wrong so don't give up.
Heey, just finished the thread.
It was pretty damn good read. Don't give up!
>I guess the Serpentera and Ooze reveal was a bit much...
Yeah, a bit. Keeping them for later could've worked better.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
After re-reading this, I kinda realized I just made you all sit in a chair tell people what to do. Not my intention at all mind you.
Next time we will have you more involved. Especially since the hard part of introducing characters, zords, the big bads and all that is done now. You'll see the professor is now slouch.
It also makes me appreciate all the other QM's and the work they do. Never realized how tough it was until now.
So if you guys down for it, I'll continue running.
Also since the rangers act as a team, would all like to switch perspectives? I kinda wanted to give a 'team management' feel but sitting your ass and telling what to do is boring as fuck in retrospect lol.
Mission Control can be a fun perspective if done right. Spend time training the team, managing the team's affairs, ensuring personal lives do not get in the way of Power Rangering. Dealing with rangers doing stupid shit or forcing moral conundrums on them. "Dammit man, I don't CARE if you saved a kid! When he comes back, he's going to kill ALOT more people, and each and every one of them will be your fault, all because you couldn't take the shot!"
It doesn't have to be quite happy-go-lucky power ranger. Force issues on the team and make our job to help them through their issues as quick as possible while also being the tactical overwatch for the group. Get in touch with local police and military forces to help move civilians out from combat zones quickly, all that good stuff.
