What would you call a Barbarian-type class that specializes in knifes? Think psycho more than assassin.
0/10, a simple amalgation of words. Childish, uncreative, inane.
2/10, attempt at a "witty" answer with little effort. Dry, riskless, campy.
Complete lack of effort, 0/10
Weird reference to Jap mythology, 2/10
Some actually decent ideas here, 8/10
I'm sorry we're ruining your immersion with INFORMATIVE DIAGRAMS
>"A cimeter or scimitar is a large, curved butcher's knife, with a blade typically 8-14" (20-35 cm) long. It is used primarily for cutting large pieces of meat into retail cuts such as steaks."
Good old FC and its sensible approach to class design.
I think Burglar would be a pretty good bet too, though, what with all of its stuff focused on causing and punishing Bleeding. You can't Sneak while in your Rage stance, sure, but even so.
The class system is probably my favourite aspect. In things like D&D it's just way to specific - if you're a barbarian, you NEED to be a primitive savage angryman, if you're a monk, you are expected to be all "chi and inner peace". It's more restrictive than it should be, and without major refluffing a lot of concepts are impossible.
Yandere is closer to rogue/paladin combination than to rogue/barbarian
Kinda want to make this an alt class now. A Jason Voorhees class that has a "Hunt/Stalk" rather than rage. While active there's sneak attack and stealth bonuses, maybe Move Silently. Perhaps even early access to moving your full speed while stealthing emulate that chase feel where the psycho can pop in at any time.
Finally my filename has a purpose
Zweihander knife! Cuts meat with staggering ease!
Zweihander knife! Interrupt the attacks of mundane cooking!
Zweihander knife! With strength build a perfect meal!
Zweihander knife! I'm running out of Dark Souls puns!
> unique mechanics
Pick up anything even remotely stabby/slicey/clubby and beat things to death with it
Completely unfazed by eldritch horrors
+5 hockey mask of terror
Fuelled by power of wanting to save his girlfriend
Cook meals fit for a legend!
A savage, or a primitive Barbarian.
I'd roll it up into a barbarian subtype that gets a bonus with simple weapons like knives, clubs and spears, and class feats and things more geared to throwing weapons and attacking from ambush.
This would be nicely thematic for either a savage knife fighter, or a caveman-type barbarian.
Its a butchers knife, it called a scimitar steak knife. There is one in my sheath every day at work. I don't have a picture of it so have some stirfry.
