>Improve Culture
>Up until now, Yorkshire has been largely a self-governing place; family ties bind the community together and keep the peace. However, as the population increases, it becomes more and more difficult to mediate disputes. A new custom has arrisen where the smaller, more familial oriented "Clans" send their most prestigious members (usually the strongest or wisest Men) to the "Moot," where disputes are resolved and decisions for the Village are made. This form of governance has proved popular, and has also been adopted by the Lancastermen to the South.

I think you need to understand how narration works with tech research. When we elect to discover something, such as bronze working, what it means is the entire package. Someone finds that copper, then uses it in a meaningful way, like strapping it to a stick and calling it a spear, after finding it's a really hard rock. "Bronze working" means to find copper, and then use loose bits of it.

Then you research mining and get it industrialized.

Which one if you don't mind me asking if you mean >>44956045, they discovered metal-working and metal itself thanks to a pre-existing town whom were already mining it
>>
>>44961898
You just found Iron deposits in rocks, you have no idea how to manipulate it yet.

I know i am just saying, i he had had his way originally then we would have metal tools in an instant.

The Wheel. I guess a road between our villages would follow.

intitate the joining of the clans york and lancaster with the courting and evential marrage between the children of our clan elders.
>>
>>44962021
>Sorry about that
Like everyone is hanging off your every word
>>
>>44961993
Too advanced for now. Need a few more techs first.
>>
apoint a small comitte of our smartest clansmen to look into what this interesting new substance "iron" can be used for
>>
>>44961983
That civ, but the previous thread, now archived. They found iron weapons and deduced what ore were made from and where to find them. Because they saw this unique rock before, but didn't bother to chart or note it, because it was assumed useless. There are many things already inside our territory that are not noted yet because 17 year old spear wielding retard doesn't know yet what they're good for.
>>
>>44962083
And mind you, since civ threads are based on the civ game, that also how it works in the game. When you discover the tech you also discover the resource, which could have been a click away from a city but you had no idea. Because now your culture recognizes its worth and makes a note of it.
>>
>>44962008
oh great and wise leader of /tg/, what advancement do you deem suitable for this thread? maybe next turn we can research how to bang two rocks together? realistic enough for you?
>>
>>44962053
You are being pointlessly agressive

>>44962083
You seem far more reasonable and i apologise for any hint of aggression towards you
>>
>>44962149
OK fair enough, that was a bit of a pointless one from me tbf.
>>
>>44962149
You're probably thinking of the other guy you're feuding with. I honestly stopped getting riled up over image board exchanges somewhere in 2010.

>THE JOINING OF THE TRIBES
>Relations betweem the Lancastermen and the Yorkmen have never been better. On the Eve of the New Moon, a marriage between the daughter of a Lancastermen Elder and the son of a Yorkman Elder formally unites the Tribes under one banner.
>This development accelerates the animosity between you and the Picts, who feel left out of the equation. Diplomacy will be next to impossible with them now.

OOC: So, I need to go to work here in a few minutes, so the session will be over for today. I'll be reposting everything, with a new map tomorrow or Monday, probably with some updated options and clarifications. In the mean time, before I go, please suggest names for the new TRIBAL CONFEDERATION. Thanks for playing, hope to start again soon.

That is not what i mean and you know it

My point is that the original vote that sparked all this was >>44961138, Unlike many other civilisation games such as the predecessor to the "tides of ages" quest that is running, would have your people discover these strange green rocks and then have them develop based off of that knowledge.

In this way you choose to be petty, implying that i think i should be right instantly. Yet i have made no direct insults against you, or any whom support you.

I ask that you would grant me that simple courtesy in kind.

Good night, OP from a fan in Scotland.

It's not that you disagreed with my vote, maybe you were right, metal working is too advanced for where we are, it was how spectacularly you hit the roof over it!

Thanks OP good job!
>>
>>44962310
Honestly since neither of us will ever know each other after this thread, seeing as we will seek to make use of metal now we have, we will end up getting along fine unknowingly
