"So I'm your gonna be your captain from now on alright rookies"?
"Good to hear, well were going to heading out since so here's an advance payment for you. Make sure you are prepared alright"? He hands the both a bag of Coin.

Actually come to think of it, I'd rather be an innate caster, without needing a staff or wand or anything.
Also lose 1 medicine, so that everything I bought was paid for with my own funds, freeing up more for the others.
Collective, but I'll give a few freebies since this is the beginning.
With your time at the Shops cone, you report to your commander for your first assignment.
"alright people we have a few potential assignment's we can be sent to so I'll let you decide".
>Defend Hollowman Port
>Defend The Village of Book
>Protect Traveling Merchant's
Book? Sounds like reading.
Now a port, that's important! A reliable source of fish as opposed to relying on grain from the village. Fish tastes better anyways.
We should defend Hollowman Port.
With the majority ruling, Regis takes his band of soldiers through Wark Wood to the Town of Book. The quiet town untouched by the effects of war. You stay at the inn waiting for that telltale sign the would break the monotony.
>Have a Drink
>Talk to people in bar
>mfw there is no war and we're just assisting with various problems plaguing the kingdom
>mfw I cant loot with ease in war torn cities
>mfw I unintentionally left my comfortable fishing job to be an adventurer and am likely bound by the will of the king to continue as such for some time
Talk to the people in the bar. We are here to work.
Harivold mingles with the other villagers in the bar, wishing he could make some profit from the war.
Addil and Blavak Scout around the city all through the outlying area.
Lisbett inquires about the villages vulnerabilities. The Town could be attacked from the forest or hills.
>Report to Captain
All of you head back to the captain to report your findings.
"Well color me impressed. Didn't think you guys would take this so seriously. Well, take the rest of the day off. But keep an eye out OK".
>What will you do with your off time?
I'll look under the slim chance that there might be a store, or someone selling any sorts of spells or magic type items.
Otherwise, see if anyone in town needs the help of a mage. Probably limited since I only know two spells, both destructive.
Harivold goes fishing at a nearby lake.
Roll 1d10 for encounter
Lisbett looks around town for a magic shop. A helpful man tell s you of a druid in the nearby forest who knows quite a bit of magic.
Roll 1d10 to find the druid.
Blavak checks everything and everyone suspicious of an inside man, but no one seems to be acting especially strange.
Captain Regis is the strongest of your group next to Horivald.
Roll 1d10 if fighting Regis.
Addil attempts to spar with Regis although was overpowered by his sword technique.
Blavak continues scouting around watching for suspicious activity and all seems to be inn the clear.
Lisbett almost didn't find the druid but luckily chanced upon him. He will teach you a type of magic of your choosing.
Harivold tried to be a fishing Wizard, but not even a nibble was seen.
2 More Free actions before the day ends.
Rolled 4 (1d10)
I assume you would like a 6th person in the party?
I am Adam Sandleberton the Healer who has just seen the posters advertising a spot in the company.
I practice my healing arts on people with sore joints.
Blavak does some more scouting, some forest critters tagging along.
Harivold hacks at some trees with his axe, feeling a bit stronger than before.
Adam The Healer has joined the group.
A healer has joined your group, do you still want to learn healing magic, or something else?
that is because I fucked your mum 9 months before you were born. I then left you and your mum before you could remember me because I felt that you needed a lack of father figure because why the fuck not?
Ok, that's fair if we've got a healer. Then instead I'd like for the druid to teach me how to be able to distill spells into physical form, most often potions, so I can store them or throw them or give them to someone.
Basically alchemist training.
Addil sparred with Regis improving Speed and Defense.
Harivold and Adam Duke it out, and end up covered in bruises, and completely worn out.
Rabbits and what have you. You head back to Town to wind down.
You gain a firm grasp on Alchemy with the Druids tutoring. You can learn something else or return to Town.
Adam cleans up and rests with a bit of healing to assist.
You learn Miracle from the druid.
Sacrifice: Injures self to heal ally.
Lisbett can learn one more thing today.
Ok then, some sort of concealment or stealth spell, and I'll head back to town. Also will ask the druid if he wants me to take anything to town, or to bring anything back if I see him again.
Learned Light Step: No sound from footfall.
He asks for nothing except to teach you more of what he knows.
You returned to Town as the second day rolled in.
>What shall the party do first?
I would want to ask the Captain if there's any strategic benefit to us remaining. Like, how likely are the enemy to attack, because things seem pretty quiet where we are. Maybe we could be somewhere more useful.
"Nah they're coming, about mid afternoon about. At least that's what our Intel suggests. We just need to stall them until the main force swoops behind and takes them out. So get ready for a fight soon enough".
That's a pretty good plan, maybe use some of the town buildings in the defense? Depending on what the roofs are made of someone might want to start soaking them so the bad guys can't set them on fire easily.
I'll ask of the direction they're expected to come from, and knowing that, I'll try to go and get outlying townspeople to withdraw and come back to the main part of town for safety.
Addil blocks some of the road with rubble and wagons giving some protection.
Lisbett move the townsfolk from the outskirts inwards.
Blavak can snipe at the enemy but with a -1 roll due to not knowing the enemy.
You can use 10 spells per combat. Any use outside combat.
Blavak snipes at the marching troops taking a few out, and slips away before they could give chase.
-2 to future Rolls due to cavalry.
Rolled 8 (1d10)
Ok, in preparation for the coming fight, I'll start to distill spells into physical components. Since I'm doing fireball, I guess I'll go with paper marked with the symbol and wrapped in a rock for easy throwing.
I guess rolling to see how many I can make before the enemies arrive.
Addil takes up a position at the makeshift chokepoint standing at the ready.
Blavak finds a well hidden hiding spot and prepares to let Arrows fly.
You see the armored company of soldiers at least 100 strong. This'll be fun.
>What's the plan?
Crap, and how many villagers? It sucks but I guess the responsibility is up to me to stay back in case I need to protect the other women and children worst comes to worst.
We did get the women and children together right?
The women, children along the old and inform have already fled. Only those who volunteered to stay behind will fight with you.
Blavak throws Fire Rocks at the advancing troops, some catching on fire and burning up.
>They are halfway to the chokepoint.
Lisbett enters a building adjacent to the chokepoint and prepares her spells.
Addil gives a encouraging speech which helps boost morale.
Blavak wait's for them to hit the chokepoint.
Your only had to brace as they crash into the Shield screen as battle ensues.
You get reinforcements!
>Form Battle Group
You let fly Arrows picking off soldiers at the back before they reach the troops. Your fighters help keep the line together.
>Form Battle Group
>Continue Arrow Support
You join the fray with your soldiers at your back.
Squad leader can issue orders to Squadmates, party members can act separate from squad.

Lisbett became a Mage Knight!
"Sir, the enemy has the castle completely surrounded"!
"Damn! Alright you three, we need to break through the enemy and escape lest we become prisoners of war".
>Objective: Help Lord Arless escape.

>You have time to relax before you will be needed so enjoy it now.
What a bunch of jerks. Well now that the commander is safe, I guess wherever our military assistance is needed next. Is Moltona needing of our help, or should we head somewhere else?
