You are SAMANTH SMITH, a pudgy girl who enjoys playing videogames, and lounging about, recently you decided to turn your life around and do something about it, and well, due to some unfortunate circumstances you wound up falling off a cliff. But, it’s alright, because lucky for you, you were reborn in a fantasy world as a Harpy. Perhaps this time when you fall from a great height your head won’t go splat like an over ripe melon. Your wings and feathers certainly will help.
You have just woken up from your slumber and stumbled out into the main area of your family’s nest, chipper as always, with your twin sister, who is still rather groggy in the early morning light. Your father and mother asleep back in their room with your younger sibling, and your older sister Ciel out and about, it is time for you to decide what you wish to do with this fine morning after the storm.
“Sister… why are we up so early? I want to sleep in for just once if we are gonna fly today.” Your twin questions rubbing her eyes with her grey feathered wing.
“Because…” You reply.
> ”We are gonna have a practice flight.”
> ”I want to find where our older sister is.”
> ”I want some breakfast.”

Dice System is 1d100, Best of 3 rolls, Roll over the DC.
There are sometimes multiple DCs to a single roll ranging from Critical Fail-Major Fail-Failure-Success-Major Success-Critical Success.
There will be roughly 10-15 minutes for voting and updates will take place on average of 20-40 minutes after I call the vote.
After all sessions I will stick around for Q&A. Feel free to ask me silly questions, tell jokes, and hang out with your QM.
Sorry for starting late, life gets away from me once the school year starts back up.
Looks like we are getting right to the action with a practice flight.
“Because Sister, much like our older sister Ciel, we are going to have a practice flight before we show Mom and Dad the real thing.” You affirm, ruffling your feathers out proudly. After all, if your sister could fly without help, you can too. Your twin gives you a look that you have grown accustomed to over the past few days, it is one that questions your sanity but not your ability to do something.
“Sister, must we right this moment? Can’t we at least get bite to eat or wait for Mom and Dad to wake up before-“
“Nonsense!” You chirp up, interrupting her suddenly. “This world waits for no Harpy. Now come on.”
You begin storming your way across your home towards the front of the nest, where the long ladder hangs down to the forest floor far, far below. A no doubt fatal fall for anyone without wings like your family members, save Dad, he must be really sure of his footing to have climbed up here last night, you think. The wet branches and leaves bend underneath you with a squishy sound, different from the usual crunch you get beneath your talons, it feels odd.
“Sister, I still don’t have a good feeling about this, big sis Ciel was lucky when she flew that time.” Your twin says as she follows close behind her grey feathers rustling in the light morning breeze as light plays off her sun kissed skin, much like your own, her disheveled blond hair reaches the nape of her neck.
“Well Sister, …”
>That’s fine we are just doing practice (Hopping from the nest wall, into the nest) (D)
>It’s not luck, but skill. (Rush the edge, Leap of faith) (D)
>Maybe you are right… (Wait for Parents or Big sister to supervise)
Looks like we are keeping on the safe side of things for once.
Roll me 1D100 HERE!
Rolled 100, 1 = 101 (2d100)
Hmmm... not ba-
Damn it dice Gods, what am I supposed to do with this bullshivick. Anyways, still writing...
Yeah pretty much.
>we fly first, do quite well and bolster sister's confidence
>she jumps, soars like an eagle
>mom and dad hear us cheering, come in to check and see her flying
>she sees them, her wings freeze, she plummets to the nest and breaks her leg
or her wing
Nah, this is fluffy quest. As long as we don't do something terribly stupid, older little sis won't get the game of thrones treatment.
Once we start getting dumb and risky, though, tail feathers won't be the only bits that aren't safe.
>assuming we're gonna go stupid
Nah, man, this is Harpy. Snake and Kobold were the stupid decisions quests. And Lizard, to a milder extent.
It'll take a VERY shiny stupid button to catch our attention here. Probably one to do with saving sis/eggybro or punching bitchAunt in her whore mouth (or both at once, probably both at once).
“Well Sister, we are just going to be hopping from the edge, into the nest. No fuss, no need to worry.” You state matter of factly to your twin as you make your way over to the edge of the nest. You will get in some practice today before you show off to Mom and Dad, even if it is just a little bit of hopping and bopping from the side of the nest. Besides, you can feel it as the wind rustles beneath your wings, a tug a calling to spread your wings.
“Alright Sis, our adventures have been fine so far…” Your twin says with a small pout her wings tucked close to her side as she follows along.
Your talons sink in easily enough to the side of the twig wall as you go to scale it, remembering your first adventures outside of the nest with your twin, the wall seemed so much larger, like it was only yesterday that it towered over you, a near impassable barrier, but that was actually only two days ago. In moments you have scaled the side of the nest and stand proudly atop a thick twig, your talons clenched around it. You look out over the forest before you, the great expanse of green that shifts to and fro, the mighty brown pillars that seem to support the world around you rising up from far below, you can smell the crisp air left in the wake of last night’s storm, and hear the cries of the creatures of the forest in the morning light. There is a primal urge that seems to well deep within you and you go to spread and flap your wings, showing the white and black striped plumage to the world, one beat, two, you feel the rush of air flow through them, a flowing pulse as you drag them back and forth, a soft tickle as your flight feathers are rustled. Now, now is the time. You shift in place and turn around to face the nest as your sister crests up over the edge of the wall to join you on your perch.
“It is time Sister.” You tell her, as if speaking of the dawn of a new era.
She raises an eyebrow and sighs, “Well, you are so up for it, you first then.” She says as she repositions her talons along the branches, shuffling uneasily.
Ever since you were reborn, even in spite of how it was that you came to your untimely demise in your past life, you have felt the want, no the need, to spread your wings and take to the skies. And now is your time to do so.
You spread your wings wide, and begin flapping, up, down, up, down. There is a rush of air beneath your wings, and you can feel it in your muscles the lift that you are generating. You go and leap forwards, kicking off of your perch and…
You aren’t falling, you are held aloft as you move forwards across the nest, twigs rushing past underneath you the wind under your wings, whipping your hair back, you feel exhilarated, like you could fall at any time, but by your own power you won’t. There is a sense of freedom, of satisfaction that seems to well within you at knowing this. You are a Harpy, You can FLY!
And then, the landing, you drop your talons and clumsily attempt to dig in your feet to the ground, you fall face first and land on your chest. Luckily enough, it isn’t that rough of a landing, and your copious amounts off fluffy and soft feathers, coupled with the wet and mushy leaves on the nest, soften the fall. However, it is still gross and as you go to stand some of the leaves stick to you.
“I did it!” You say as you turn back to your sister who still remains perched atop the nest wall, you go to attempt to use your wing to brush off the offending leaves but they only manage to stick to your feathers, so you attempt to shake those off too, but it holds fast. How annoying.
And fly she does, not like you did, no, it is better, she takes off, up, above the nest. Flapping her wings with gusto as she rises and falls, soaring overhead. Her grey wings spread wide, blond hair billowing back as she makes a pass, then rises in the air and makes another. As she flies by you can hear tittering laughter coming from her as she soars, clearly enjoying herself.
“Sister! I’m doing it! I’m doing it!” she calls out from above.
“I can see!” You call back, cupping your wings like a megaphone, as if it would amplify the sound.
You watch as she sails to and fro overhead, clearly a natural, even more so than Ciel was when she first fell from the branches. Her laughter infectious you too find yourself laughing along as she soars. This goes on for a few moments before you hear her once more as she passes.
“Sister?” You notice how she is no longer laughing, but it doesn’t cross your mind why.
“Yeah sis?” You question back still giggleing.
“How do I stop!?” She asks her voice filled with worry.
Oh no, your twin doesn’t know how to stop.
“Just, Just put your feet down and catch onto something!” You call back up, worry in your voice.
“I- I can’t, I’m scared, Sister, Sister help me.” Her flapping becomes panicked and her voice filled with worry. With the beating of her wings no longer steady she begins to descend, past the edge of the nest.
“Sister!” You call out rushing to the edge of the nest as you watch her drop down towards the forest floor below.
“Sister…!” She call back as she dips from sight past some of the lower canopy.
>Stay calm, wake Mom and Dad. They’ll know what to do.
>Go after her! She can’t be alone out there! (Fly out of the nest)
Well, looks like you are jumping after Sis.
Roll me 1d100 Linked Here.
Hey it'll be fine, we just have to let mom cool off and apologize about the house with a large monster for her to eat.
Also out of nowhere is bullshit, we voted to go into the house.
Sorry, should have said hatched.
But no, she was first.
>you know what’s really going on here, your older twin has pinned you to the feathers and straw of the nest floor. Thus establishing herself as the dominant of the two twins. You are forever doomed to the life of the “little sister”!
>your older twin has pinned you
>your OLDER twin
I don't know if you're just pretending to be retarded or what.
Usually the little sis is the younger sis. But we're the younger big sis, and she's the older little sis!
>She must be accepting of her fate as she doesn’t even struggle as you press her to the soft floor of the family nest. Now positioned on top, you have done it! You have become the dominant twin!
And thus we earned the title of big sis through gladiatorial snuggling. And all was good and right and fluffy.
Your twin sister is in danger and needs your help! What do you do? What do you do? No, wait, focus Sammy. Now isn’t the time to panic. Panic is the enemy. Right now you need to help your sister who is headed towards the forest floor below. You should go get Mom and Dad, they will know what to do, you go to place a talon in the direction back to your parents’ room, before halting in your tracks.
No, you are the only one who can help your twin now. If you dilly dally she will be lost to the forest. You have to head out after her. You turn quickly, and race towards the edge of then nest, and you hurtle yourself out, falling towards the ground your hair whips behind you, wind rushing over your wings as you aim in the direction you saw your sister descending. Branches rushing past you as blurs of brown and green as you break out into the lower canopy.
“Sis?!” You call out as you spread your wings wide to catch your descent, soaring out and around in search.
“Sister! Where are you?” You cry aloud as you circle downwards towards the ground.
“Sis!?” You hear a cry back from not far off and you hurriedly flap in that direction. To find your sister still in a semi-controlled descent towards the forest floor, but none the less, it seems her chances of recovering are slim.
You flap along nearby as your sister keeps her wings steady and descends in a slow, looping circle.
“What do I do Sister?” she asks you, clearly worried.
“Don’t worry Sis-“ you begin to reply.
>”I’ll follow you to the forest floor, we can figure it out down there.”
>”You are a great flier, you can totally recover from this.”
>”We keep flying, find a safe place to land.”
>”You are a great flier, you can totally recover from this.”
could we position ourselves beneath her and gently pull up to lessen the angle of decent and hopefully bringing it into a climb?
Rolled 5, 32 = 37 (2d100)
Mid flight Pep talk is a go!
The pep talk didn't work.. okay. We need a sort of air to air refueling. Except.. here's what we'll do.
We'll fly over. Flip upside down and lock our feet claws with hers and use the extra weight to slow down, and then brace the landing with our body!
Could be interesting...
If somebody walked up to me on the street, we wouldn't have had context for the statement based on the prior points in the conversation.
But we did, so your comparison falls flat.
“Don’t worry Sis, you are a great flier, you can totally recover from this!” You call out to her as you descend alongside her, a smile on your face trying to cheer her up and get her peppy enough to recover from the descent.
“No, No I’m not!” She cries out back her wings locked into a spread pattern that catches the wind just enough to slow her descent down towards the ground.
“Yes, you are, trust me. Just, flap your wings and we can make it back to the nest…” You tell her in a calm tone as you flap once and give yourself some lift, but she continues to descend, further, and further down towards the ground below. It seems your twin is too frightened to even give it a chance.
Within a few moments, the two of you break through the last of the canopy and descend to the forest floor, the ground looks relatively the same as how it was the other night, but more moist. And with a beat of your wings you are able to make a controlled descent onto a log while your sister lands in the mud and leaves that carpet the forest floor nearby. As she does so, she seems to lay there, wings outstretched and body trembling.
You hop off the log and go to approach, leaves sagging as you bound along awkwardly and over to your sister.
“Sis? Are you alright?” You ask her as you approach.
You can’t see much from your position behind her but you can see her shaking her head no.
“I… I… can’t do it…” you hear her murmur quietly, her voice shaking.
>Words of Encouragement (Write in)
>She needs time, and space to figure this out.
OUR WINGSPAN SHALL BLOT OUR THE SUN!
JOIN US SISTER, this terrible experience will force us to realize we are too small in this world. While we won't be the person we once were we shall surpass her.
We shall be the greatest harpies the world has ever seen. We shall give even giants pause in their travels for fear of being snatched up in our passing. We shall never cower from anything again as we had to as babes trapped upon the forest floor.
Masters of the sky, and all that rest beneath it.
...the only thing I could find between giant harpies and amazon harpies were the various giant and mythic harpies from Karbo's Felarya, a giantess and vore heavy magical realm. All giantess though, no muscle. Not really worth sharing in context
I dunno, it doesn't sit right. They can't be good for flying what with the disproportionate ratio.
>I dunno, it doesn't sit right. They can't be good for flying what with the disproportionate ratio.
Dude, Do you SEE how big those wings are? Plus if the bird is stronger it can fly better and carry more weight.
Yeah, but it's aerodynamically shit, aside from the extra strain on her shoulder/back muscles and tendons from holding them there in the first place.
Plus they'd just be flopping around everywhere from the wind.
Looks like we are bringing it in for a sisterly hug, and giving words of encouragement that she is a good flyer and it'll just take a bit of practice. Especially when it comes to landing.
This Ok? If so, its what I'm gonna go with. WRITING!
It's not really going to strain if she never wears a bra and her muscles and tendons adapt to the added weight (like they should).
yes the flopping and lack of aerodynamics is bad. but we've already added bird parts to an ape so we might as well not care. about about the size of said ape-birds boobies.
>>Words of Encouragement (It's okay to be afraid. It's nothing to feel bad about. Even our big sis had worries. But even failing, you're still okay. Because you're stronger than you think. You just don't know it yet.)
Don't think about her tits flopping everywhere, don't think about her tits flopping everywhere
You make your way over to your sister and wrap your feathery wing around her, pulling her close to you. “Sis, it’s alright…” you tell her in a soft tone holding her close to you. You can feel her hair and warm, soft feathers pressed up against you as you hold her tight.
She sniffles and shudders as she leans up against you. “No, it’s not, you and Ciel managed to land back down your first try. I overshot the nest and now look where we are…” You feel wet droplets hit your skin. Looking at your sister you can see streams of shining light running down her cheeks, she is without a doubt crying.
“No, hey, hey, I didn’t land right my first time.” You retort as you shuffle your wing up and down the side of her body in an attempt to calm her down.
“Yes you did, I saw-“ She goes to respond but you hastily cut her off.
“What you saw was not my first attempt, it was more like my fourth.” You respond and she seems to fall silent looking at you.
“That’s right, I had already made a few attempts with Mom and Dad yesterday, and that’s how I learned. And even then I’ve had some troubles, I fell flat on my face my first try and I’m sure Ciel was no different.” You tell her causing her to give a weak giggle and a small smile. A smile crosses your face as well, it seems you are getting to your twin.
“And if that was your first attempt at flying then you are a prodigy.” You state proud of your twin who seems to have stopped crying.
“Hey Sis?” she asks.
“Yeah, Sis?” You respond, holding her tight in a fluffy embrace.
“Whats a prodigy?” she questions, tilting her head.
“Ah, it means you are good at it without trying.”
“Oh.” She smiles brightly at this and goes to wipe the tears from her eyes with her wing. It seems that you have cheered her up.
The two of you remain embraced with one another on the forest floor for a short time, the whoops and chitters of the forest animals going off in the distance, the world alive around you. It takes a moment but your sister asks.
“So, what do we do now Sis?”
>Fly back up to the nest if we can.
>Stay put, Mom and Dad are sure to come looking for us
>Explore the forest! Nothing can go wrong, and we can fly if something does.
>Fly back up to the nest if we can.
Though if Mom/Dad do come looking, make noises of excitement rather than fear/embarrassment. Keep Sis from backsliding and assure the parent's we're okay.
>Moms face when we have bigger tits than her, And only at first evo.
Looks like we are making an attempt too coerce our sister back up to the nest.
I dunno, I can see being envious in that department also working out. Sam was an excess of fat as a human, so having a shortage of it in certain places as a harpy would be a humorous juxtaposition.
>Ciel has the smallest set (out of the sisters) but doesn't really give a shit
>Sis has the biggest and is completely embarrassed by the attention she gets from them
>We're comfortably in the middle
>Mfw we're a huge harpy with giant soft fluffy wings, Have huge soft tits and are greatly muscular, Muscles are soft like marshmellows when you're relaxed btw
WE ARE THE FLUFFY CUDDLE HARPY SUPREME!
We could have the same size, but Sis evolves smaller so hers just look bigger on her body.
Plus ours are firm and hers are pillowy?
...and it just dawned on me how much thought I'm putting into the prospective tits of a bunch of harpy sisters that aren't even a week old. Goddamnit.
“We fly back up to the nest of course.” You tell your twin, with a nod of your head as you finally release her from the soft and warm embrace.
“But what about landing?” Your sister asks in a worried tone as she shakes her body, hair and feathers ruffling before falling back into place.
“Don’t worry about landing. The nest is relatively soft, and safer than down here. Just worry about us flying back up for now.” You tell her as you spread your wings once more.
She looks around at the underbrush of the forest worriedly and nods,
“Alright then, Just follow my lead sis and we will be home in no time.” You tell your sister as you flap your wings, kicking up some of the wet leaves in the area as you go to fly back up to the canopy above. Your sister hesitates for a moment and quickly follows suit, flapping and flying her way behind you.
Within moments you are back up into the canopy, green leaves giving way to clear sky and nearing the nest you think you hear commotion. Uh oh, either your parents are awake and found out you and your sister went missing, or Ciel is looking for the two of you. In both cases your first excursion from the nest as a duo has no doubt been uncovered. You look back over your wing, and see that your sister has a worried expression on her face, no doubt she has heard the noise as well.
>Call out, alert whoever is up to your presence.
>Try to stealth fly back in (D)
>>Call out, alert whoever is up to your presence.
"Hey! Look what we can do!"
Also will be dumping hilarious owl pictures.
You know, Technically our parents never said not to leave the nest....
Looks like we are flying back in while alerting the nest that we are the greatest.
“Hey, Hey! Out here!” You call out to the nest as you begin making a passing fly by of the nest itself, your home is surprisingly spacious now that you look down upon it from above, the stick and log structure taking up a good portion of the top of the tree it is settled in. Up above the trees, the wind catches your wings much easier and you are able to soar and glide instead of having to pump up and down for lift.
Looking down into the nest you see who is up, and yep, that is Ciel, along with your mother and father looking around for you. And hey, with your cry out to them they are alerted to your presences, you glance back over your shoulder once more to your twin, who seems embarrassed by the whole ordeal, a small blush on her young face as she follows your circling motion as the two of you fly round the nest.
Then comes the hard part, coming in for a landing. You angle your winds and dip towards the structure, tilting upwards and flapping for an air break. It requires some effort and energy, oh no, you are coming in a bit too hot, mayday mayday! WHUMP!
You find yourself curled up in a ball, in someone’s embrace. “Ach, I gottem Darlin. They’re just a wee’ bit fulla energy this morning. An with good reason, ya saw ‘em soarin just like their big sis.” You hear the voice echo through the body of the person holding you.
Without a doubt it seems that your father managed to catch you and your sister as you were both about to make some rather embarrassing crash landings. It seems that the two of you didn’t account for wind and other variables and such coming back into the nest, that weren’t present as you descended below.
“Oh, good. They had me so worried there for a moment.” You look and you see your mother hanging from the ceiling, oh no wait, that’s the floor, you are upside down. “Mii, Mai, just what were the two of you thinking going out flying on your own? We are going to be having a long talk about this.” The white feathered harpy states in a chastising tone, her feathers ruffled up in frustration.
Wait… Who are Mii and Mai?
That will be all for tonight folks. Hopefully I will see you again soon. If I am capable I would like to aim for next week, but who knows with school being back in session. In any case, I will be sticking around for Q&A for a few hours. Thanks once again for choosing Harpy Quest.
whenever someone says "Oh my" in shock or surprise etc. the appropriately named twin responds.
or " and it was all thanks to me" "You're welcome"
we probably arent identical.
Love you too Anon
Thanks for coming
Indeed that is a question
I had plans and such originally but it feels out of my hands now. Luckily we don't need to worry about that for a while.
Yes, Yes I will. Just a matter of getting my sorry ass to do so.
I can't either.
Only Doubled? Darn.
Oh no... puns already...
Also I plan on trying to get a new Title Card by next Session. Something to show how we have flown the nest for the first time.
>I had plans and such originally but it feels out of my hands now. Luckily we don't need to worry about that for a while.
Hah giant tits are no canon, you're the best
They need to be somewhat different sizes so people can tell us apart.
I need an artist and two voice actors.
I want JibJab's intro except drawn as harpies with Mii and Mai.
Don't ask me why I suddenly need it, I just do.
You people are manic.
Hehe cute. Might incorporate that
As a lifeguard, can confirm.
Poor girl, however this brings up a good question of how Harpies work out.
>/tg/ rarely agrees on anything
I think it's just a handful of guys being really insistent rather than an actual consensus. I know I'd be moderately annoyed by it and have just been staying quiet so far.
Just trust in me anons. Have I ever let you guys down?
Aside from disappearing for months.
Makes sense to me
Well, Mom is pretty small in that department actually. So it wouldn't be a stretch.
Not if they fight in a literal sense by physically grabbing you with their flesh-rending bird talons and pulling in different directions, possibly having lifted you entirely into the air in their struggle.
Twins vary yes, you can have identical twins which are a split zygote. essentially identical fraternal twins. to fraternal twins that are literally black and white.
but do we still look the same after growing out of being tiny poofs?
I'll concede to you on that one, it's hard to have suspension of disbelief when you know how a certain thing normally works is all. especially something as strange as two eggs that are somehow monozygotic.
That sickening feeling when people re-read your work and are treating it as word of law.
But you have a human mind, even if you guys rarely use it.
Suuuure lets go with that. Hehe...
