I assume you lot actually have a plan to take care of whatever mission you have here? Perhaps now would be a good time to enact it, after what happened yesterday.
>Still in that cave with Alice.
So... what now?
Thread title pic related.
"Jackson said he had a way to save these people, but he never bothered to tell me what it was."
>Pulls out a lho-stick and lights it.
"Tell me, after all this, did we lose anyway?"
>His augmetic lungs filter out the lho-smoke, meaning that Greely is now effectively going without.
Err.....suppose we can check if any of this equipment is usable? Weapon or two might be good....or perhaps the tank....
>Alice walks over to the weapons and stares at them idly.
>Alice opens the Commander's hatch and drops into the turret.
Equipment seems intact.....power might be out, but that'll be a five minute fix, just need to find a toolkit so I can get to the engine.
I have seen these threads before, could somebody tell me what the bloody hell is going on?
Short answer is that a Penal Regiment(That may or may not have been inducted by the Inquisition, as they are want to do) full of [strike]lunatics[/strike] unique Guardsmen goes about the Galaxy sorting fixing things and removing Chaos because everyone else is incompetent. Basically one can just make a character and do whatever they want. Orks or Necrons for example.
I could prepare a slightly longer version if you wish it so.
Also that picture is amazing.
Just make whatever you wish and jump in, like I said, we've got/had Orks, Necrons, SoB's, Space Marine or two, whatever you fancy.
Oh and it's also not 100% serious, but at the same time not 100% comical either. Just...go nuts really.
Anything goes in the heresy wildride. People make a character and jump in just for the shits and giggles.
The tank's interior seems fine, old but fine...
[spoilers]Though Inquisitors themselves are usually NPC's, even if the characters are high-rank operatives. Gonna be in and out a lot during the AM today (EST)[/spoiler]
If you can find a Cogboy that won't try and chant at it out here then go ahead, I'd rather just fix it.
>Alice finishes with the work and replaces the cover.
Try the Engine will you? Should work now.
I'm not sure we should be touching crusade era equipment without the supervision of the Adeptus Mechanicus, Alice...
>Kind of doesn't want to start the engine because of fear of it being possessed.
"I don't know at this point. Chango just took out everyone Belk turned, and I recieved a comunique from Verasii saying a lot - but not all - of the heat he's putting on us is going to go away for a while. So we have breathing room to strategize."
"As to our current situation, I was following Jackson's lead but he's currently preoccupied with Anna being so - "
"Ix-nay on the ecron-nay"
>Greely continues sifting through the ruin while Chango takes Rax back to base in his Stormtalon
"Everything I've seen says these people had no ulterior motive beyond mere survival. They were frightened and Belk's fellows exploited that."
>After a couple of moments of sputtering the engine 'roars' to life then starts idling.
That's how you do it! Lets see what else we can do.
>Alice climbs back onto the turret and drops in, then starts flicking through the systems.
Everything looks good....looks like we've got ourselves a working Tank.
Congrats for successful spoiler.
If you're a newcomer you might want to check the wiki:
Might be a lil' bit outdated in terms of Events, That section's ussually updated at least once every month though.
Welcome aboard laddie! Threads are usually on Monday(As you seen) at 2PM GMT, although sometimes there are extra threads on the following days if needed.
Mhm.....very well.......talk about it, because I'm completely confused.
Did... did you touch, wear or mark yourself with anything that seemed chaotic? I mean when the Tau sniper got you I wasn't sure I might had been hallucinating and didn't want to talk about it... but now after Amalek I pretty much have confirmation that something is going on... You were a literal mess of blood from beyond your hips...
"Just the equipment they loaned these guys - well, what's left of it. He already delivered me a love letter earlier today in exchange for the volki-"
>Something catches greely's eye, something hollow and cylindrical, different from the few relics they left behind. He picks it up and begins inspecting it.
"Hey! You didn't go with Chango after all. "
"Yeah. The ones with spikes on 'em."
"Valkyrie inbound on the 5x5"
"lace up targets on the auspex"
" got an optimal loiter time of about 30 mikes, so make it snappy"
"so please advise"
No I didn't, as far as I know and it wasn't that bad, was just a bloody kidney...and maybe a bit of liver damage. Bloody Medic has no idea what he's talking about.
>Alice again climbs out of the tank and drops down to walk towards a few weapons.
I don't know what's causing it but I'm fairly certain it's not Chaos.
>Greely smiles wickedly.
"Looks like Belk won't get his prize after all."
>Greely puts the hollow cylinder over his left arm, and it slides along the grooves in his arm, positioning itself like a bracer.
>He presses a button on the device.
>The last button is pressed, and the brace slides out quickly, covering his hand and then some. A bunch of mechanical noises come from the device.
"Going to have to get used to that when I deploy this thing. Now let's see what it can do."
I know lass, I know. And I wouldn't hold it against you.
Now, lets see what we've got he- Helloooo.....these are useful....
>Alice lifts a Stalker Bolter from a crate and blinks a few times before offering it to LIX.
Here, take a look at this.
>He sighs and looks down.
I have some, if you need a fix, but I'll want something from you.
>He reaches into the bag at his side, pulling out a small syringe.
Come to services tomorrow.
>cleaning his Sororitas flamer with lavish care
>finishes, tosses rag away
>stretches and groans
>takes a drink
Throne above! I am so fucking bored!
Greely! When in Terra's tits are we gonna go kill something fun? If I'm a stormtrooper now I oughta earn my pay, yknow?
>Has problems holding the weapon with a single hand despite it feels a lot lighter than she expected.
Hell this thing is... not as heavy as I expected... and heavily adorned, could it be master crafted?
>Greely points the arm-cannon at a nearby boulder.
>A beam of energy comes out of it, and within 10 seconds, the boulder is a puddle of lava.
"Wow. I feel kind of light headed, but that was cool."
>seems to shake excitedly
Always do sir, anything to get rid of these itches, the worst part is always the itches. Thank you sir.
>he pulls up his sleeves to expose his arm, which looks more like a left over pincushion now.
Most likely lass, probably for an Imperial Army Officer, whoever the poor bugger was obviously had a taste for fine weapons. Almost feel bad about lifting it.
>Alice lifts an equally Master Crafted Powersaber from the ground next to the crate and swings it a few times.
Not bad, think I'll.....hold onto this one...
Greely, Eta, and Rax are out in the desert right now. I have a little Deldar hunt sidequest for the afternoon, but this morning i'm gonna be in and out, till like 1-2pm EST
>Greely hits the middle button, and a small hole in the arm-cannon opens
"PLEASE INSERT ALTERNATE VOLCORP FIRING MODULE"
>It says in a feminine, mechanical voice.
"Him on earth, the damn thing talks..."
>Vimes uncaps the syringe with his teeth, holding Gladraw's arm and expertly finding the vein, injecting the stims through one of the few remaining points. He lets go and recaps the syringe, tossing it back in his bag.
I know about the shakes, Trooper. And I know you probably won't listen, but there are ways to help get you off this stuff.
"IF YOU DO DO NOT HAVE A VOLCORP ALTERNATE FIRING MODULE, ONE CAN BE PURCHASED FROM YOUR NEAREST FRIENDLY VOLCORP SYSTEMS INTEGRATION SPECIALIST. CLOSING PORT. "
>The hole closes
"THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING VOLCORP FOR ALL YOUR COMBAT NEEDS."
"I don't ..think it's self aware. I hope."
>The lava explodes, raining flames on nearby ground.
"Wow. Ok. No using this thing near friendlies. That's important to know."
You want His truth, or a nice story? Because the truth doesn't speak too well about the situation.
>Nods to him
Come to me if you need a fix. I'll help wean you off this stuff, and we'll get you fighting for Him instead of the drugs.
Well now you sound like a Praetorian, but aye lass, you already have a sword and I already have a Stalker.
Besides, you needed a rifle to use if you can't use that Longshot for.....whatever reason.
>Alice takes the saber in both hands and just sort of...stares at it.
Then let's just say I want to help. I asked for the regiment that needed His mercy the most, the one where a preacher can do the most work, and they sent me here. And...
Seems like you people really need it.
I'm fine, just thinking. Some ammo for your Bolter in here, some supplies and basic equipment too....You...err....take a rest, I'll go stick it on the turret rack of the tank.
>fills the crate with gear and starts carrying it to the aforementioned vehicle.
Well good for you, padre. Though it's too bad you weren't sent sooner, when we were still a penal regiment and had some real bad eggs in the bunch. Now we work for the Inquisition directly, I got a battlefield commission I didn't want, and most of the worst dickheads got themselves whacked.
You sure...? This doesn't add well to your current situation, Alice...
>"You sure you don't know anything that's going on?"
>She doesn't express the thought, probably wanting to give the Interrogator the trust she deserves.
...forget it I'll just... I'll make sure there are no traps... or something...
Dark age of Technology device, but basically it's a volkite armcannon courtesy of a now-dead Mechanicus
>Greely tugs on his arm
"Doesn't seem to come off."
>he hits the last button
"VOLCORP VOLKITE BUSTER IS NOW IN SAFE MODE. YOU MAY NOW REMOVE THE WEAPON TO PERFORM MAINTAINANCE, OR PLACE WEAPON INTO RETRACTED MODE."
>Greely hits the first button, and the cylinder slides back up the grooves in his forearm.
"Well, that solves that. I'll figure out how to remove it later. Come on, let's go back to base camp."
>Greely hops on the bike, and takes off once the other two get on.
I need to go take care of some stuff, be back in a hour or two
Well, I asked to be sent here pretty recently. Wouldn't have back when you really needed me most, but what can you do?
>Starts heading for the infirmary.
The Emperor has a plan for all of us. You were meant to get that commission. Don't resent it.
>Walks into the hallway.
We're here. You seem to be holding up fine. Do you need a medic?
Yeah, I don't resent it now. I started seeing how it's His plan. Refusing a commission is how I got sent to the penal regiment in the first place. And then when I still got it, made me think...
And if I can just find a model accordion and trumpet in the right scale I'm so making minis of these guys...
Fine... I'm just... worried you know?
>The Callidus Assassin just sits somewhere where she can still watch over her interrogator, checking her broken arm.
>Polymorphine helps on making it heal faster, but not as fast as she'd wish.
This is going to take almost a week at least...
The proper thing to do against the forces of Chaos. By giving yourself up to Him and seeking his judgement, you glorify yourself.
But I'm guessing you're not aiming for a sermon.
Refusing a promotion. Not the worst sin, as sins go, but still enough. It's good that you've moved on. It means you have a chance to do something to make Him proud.
Ahhhh... Yeah I'm fine, been through way worse.
Ugh, well I don't have any left for you, go bother the Quartermaster!
Heh heh heh... well, the way in which I refused said promotion is the kicker...
It's alright to be worried lass, but bloody hell you make me feel like I'm fragile or something.
>Alice drops off the tank and grabs some more equipment to add to the rack.
Now I feel like this is going to be a better story than mine.
>Nods to him.
Lieutenant. How is she?
Well, I'm trying to fit in. If you're already following His word and will, then I don't have much work to do.
>looks at him
>reaches into his pocket and pulls out a bottle of pills
>swallows two then looks fully awake
Well it seems like the medtecks forgot to give you any painkillers...
Shes stable but she will need a new leg. luckily Greely found her missing arm in time.
Trooper. I do hope there's nothing to report.
Through His grace. How long do you think it'll be before she's well enough to work? Not to rush you, but I think we'll need his services to better carry out the Emperor's will
Heh heh, well my original regiment, the Catachan 79th, had been damn near wiped out. Rest of us got assimilated into this horrendously soft regiment. We did most of their fighting for them pretty much. Eventually they fell in action and I was the only Catachan left. Then in one battle against some Nids I killed a Carnifex by stabbing it in the face, routed the rest of the bugs. No big deal, just did my job. Well the general didn't think so. I was laid up in the medbay after that and he comes in all pompous to present me with lieutenants bars. So I threw an empty bed pan at him and yelled that I work for a living! He was so mad he didn't bother to bust me to private. Just got rid of me. And I was happy to go.
Truly. I don't know. Whenever she wakes up is when she wakes up. It's a mater of time. I don't want to damage her be forcing her awake with chems.
>hands him a small bottle
two a day for a week then you should be fine. Take them with water
Not at present sir, but we figured that we might as well patrol the area, could have used the 'Hawk but it's easier to do it on foot....although we could use the Land Rover.....
How ye' likin the new job anyway laddie? Heard that ye' enjoyed the training from some of the new arrivals? Can't say I blame ye for it.
I'll like it better once I actually see some action. But yeah it was damned fun. Did learn how to operate as part of a team better, so that's one more tool in my box of skills.
>hands him a big box of MREs
Here you go, think you'll feel better if you get some food in ya.
...You threw a bedpan at your general. Well, I think that would get anyone sent to a Penetante. And you managed to still serve well enough to earn a new rank. It's quite an accomplishment. If everyone had your drive, I would be out a job.
You're the expert. I leave the judgement up to you.
Would Jackson have access to Ministorium files?
A good idea. Stay vigilant, trooper. You never know when more chaos forces could pop up.
Thank you. Well if that's all you guys need I have some business to attend to for a bit.
If he wants or needs something like that he'll get it, but if he has no reason to look at the files then he won't.
Out of a job? Nah, not at all. You're as necessary as we Guardsmen are. Cause while Im an officer in the physical war against the Ruinous Powers, you're an officer in the spiritual war.
Good on ye' lad. Oh, by the way, we've still got yer' tank on board the Penance if ye want her back.
I leave it up to you if the Slug has that Punisher Upgrade or not.
Aye sir, although I'd honestly be surprised if we warranted any more attention from those Heretical bastards. But we aren't trained to take maybe's into account.
Well I'm off to train some men that show promise, Drop trooper 101. I'll have a proper fighting force in no time.
Well something popped up so I gotta disappear for a bit. I'll be back in an hour or so.
That's all from me. May He watch over you, Lieutenant.
Well then tell me if he ever feels a need to look into Vimes.
Each important in their own ways. Raising the spirits of the soldiers gives them a chance to fight, and victory in fighting raises their spirit.
I'm aware, it's even worse for me, most of all with people assuming that I'm a stupid noble girl.
No not you.
>Done with sorting gear for the moment, Alice starts cleaning the view slits and sights.
> Having just entered hallway after having been stuck in Medbay for the past few weeks, he'd take notice of the Ogryn and the now empty box of MRE's
... I'm not even gonna bother with this... I just don't have the strength to deal with this today...
Yup. Oh and I just thought of something you can have the cogboys do. Take that autocannon you dropped to me and install it as a coaxial weapon. That'll add up some firepower...
I thought it was a rather smart move, plus I wouldn't call most things to do with yourself stupid...but we both know I wasn't talking about anything to do with you lass...
>Alice finishes with the cleaning and starts looking around for crew equipment.
Aye, we'll see what we can do, should be...relatively easy to do, although unless you store it in the hull....which might be risky, you'd need to trade Battle Cannon ammo storage for Auto-Cannon rounds.
Discussing what to do with a tank.
Something I'll mention now as a courtesy. The Iron Warrior Tarax is still alive. Yes he was nicked by a hyperphase blade and lit the fuck up by lasfire, but was never confirmed as kill. So he fell into a chasm with his weapons and there's no telling when he may reappear...
>A cold shiver runs up the recently transferred Sergeants spine, and he begins to mentally pray to the Emperor that he won't have to be sent immediately back to medbay.
No, I'm fine for now Trooper... My I do appreciate the offer.
>"Mighty God Emperor, I know you can hear me, so PLEASE don't let me get sent back to medbay by this Ogryn!"
Could help me look for the crew's equipment. Helmets, Vox sets, 'slimmer' Flak Jackets....you know, the useful stuff.
>Alice finds one of said helmets and pulls it on, along with the Vox set.
Could you please not? There are several other people for him to attack. Plz attack them.
We're still on Somerius, yes, the situation just made worse by the addition of tension between the loyalist troops.
>Finds some helmets and a a few Flak Jackets.
Here's something... not any weapons tho...
Still need to deal with the main Heretic Stronghold, I think it's abandoned now but nobody knows that IC..apparently from the Antagonists
Eh, was to be expected really, don't worry about it. You reckon we should stick around here or take the tank and head out? Doesn't seem to actually be any gear left.
>The Sergeant would scratch the side of his head questioningly, not entirely sure where he is, let alone where the armory or quartermaster might be, since he's been stuck in medbay recovering from a civilians lasgun round.
>He'd quickly glance around for any signs that might point to an armory or quartermaster, but would sigh in futility at the lack of organisation.
I'm... Actually not quite sure Trooper... To be honest I don't even know where in this bloody maze of a base I currently am, let alone where a Quartermaster might be.
>He'd point in a completely random direction
Maybe try that way?
Centurion, not sure which mark, but I'm fairly certain I know which cannon it has.
>Alice tosses the gear LIX found into the rack then drops off and looks back the way they came.
I'll go Vox the Penance to send a pilot down for the Valkyrie?
Cave a few miles away from everyone else, needed to grab some stuff IC and finally managed to actually get around to it.
and i'm back
"No lhos anymore, fuck..."
>Greely sits in the canteen, putting away what must be his third serving of hotcakes and sausage.
>"I want lho-chems so bad right now and i'm still hungry. Damn but that gun ~really~ takes it out of you."
Mhm, sit in the tank and close the hatches, I'll be back in a few minutes.
>Alice jogs back through the cave to the Vendetta and uses the Vox gear to call for a pickup crew, which soon arrives to recover the Gunship.
>Left without a Valkyrie, Alice jogs back through the cave and back to the tank, before climbing into the driver's compartment once again.
You alright lass? Shall we get moving? Should be an exit big enough for this old thing....that way.
"Now, I finish eating. Then we pack up and go, apparently. Chango's already left to go back to his brothers."
"I'd like to do one last sweep and give that fuck a couple parting shots, but everyone else apparently has another destination in mind. Besides, not everyone needs to know about our new problem."
>As soon as the Ogryn is out of earshot and Eye sight, the Sergeant would let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding in.
Well thank the God-Emperor that's done with... Now to see about requesting a transfer out of this shit hole unit before I end up permanently attached to it...
>He'd quickly make his way towards Officers barracks, hoping to find SOMEONE who can explain and fix his current situation with this Regiment.
Excuse me Trooper, I believe that an official job with the Inquisition might be what you wish? We are always looking for skilled troops to join the ranks of the Stormtroopers....
Welcome back man. And everyone but Delta and Alice are spread throughout the base, although those two will be headed back shortly.
Won't help, i'm afraid. My augs filter it out as poison.
The Dark Eldar, that's a long story. And it's one i've been trying to keep under wraps, but apparently acolytes talk like whores. The fewer people know about it, the fewer worrying about them coming from behind at any moment.
>Greely brings Gary up to speed on Belk and his Vendetta with Verasii, at least what he knows about it.
"Anyway, Verasii says she's managed to win us some breathing room, so we'll have time to strategize before they come for us again."
>Alice pushes the sticks forward and with a bit of a 'grumble' the old tank moves out of the cave and back towards the base.
Might want to put on a Helmet! Voxset'll help with the noise!
Pic related, basically this but using Imperium logic of taking old stuff and just making it out of future materials.
>In the courtyard with 40 men all with grav chutes, full carapace and hellguns.
>they're all lined up listening to Jackson as he paces in front of them
Alright, men. You're all the best of the worst. You've passed all the courses I've laid out for you so far, but Now we start the Drop Trooper section of the course. We begin drop practice tomorrow at 0800. Dismissed!
>they quickly salute then go off in small teams of five.
>Jackson looks very pleased at this
Well, that's the disagreement Jackson and I have. Jackson wants to go charging blind into fucking Commoragh, and I want to find his interests in the Materium and fuck with them and sabotage him until he gets so pissed off he comes for us. Of course, Haemonculus have a habit of not staying dead when they're killed, but at least we can send a message.
>stops and looks to the man
Sorry sir? Ohh, yes, I'm not really sure to be honest sir, it's not my place to ask questions, just follow orders and do my duty to the emperor.
Learned at the Academy of course, like the rest of the crews, why?
>The vehicle is making good time cross country, should arrive at base shortly.
This is a good vehicle, cannon'll make a mess of any armour we have to tangle with.
Much like yourself with Infantry....heh heh heh.
Proper attitude, trooper. Service to He-Upon-The-Throne is what we all live for. Still, we also have our own stories in this life, our own paths that He sets us on. If you don't want to tell me yours, that's fine.
"...Jackson, you said you had a plan to save these people, and we saw how well that worked in the long run. I won't even consider this unless you can answer one simple question."
Huh! Well I'd say we should do both. Scout the damn place first, gather intel, plan out, and bring down the fucking hammer of the Emperor on those degenerate xenos. Simple steps, few moving parts as possible. We'll kill the target, and we'll send a damn strong message to all Eldar.
I mean no disrespect sir, I just don't really like thinking about the past and my original regiment isn't exactly the most popular
>he scratches at his arm uncomfortably
I never said I had a plan to save them. I said I had a way to detect corruption. The ones I saved were evacuated and deemed clean.
Belk? He's probably in Commoragh. I haven't had my sources actively looking for him yet.
But if we destroy his birthing pods he can't be reborn again. And where are those pods? In his spire in Commoragh, most likely near the top Floor 86 maybe. Somewhere around there
Mhm.....well armoured vehicles are usually disliked by the enemy because....well they're actually a problem.....'Old Contemptible' perhaps?
>The tank, certainly an old one and perhaps unknown to the troops there, nears the base, indeed just visible and getting closer.
What do you think?
Well. I get in contact with some old friends of mine and they get us a Dark Eldar raiding Skiff and some Dark Eldar armor. We'll be warriors of another powerful house so we shouldn't get much trouble at the gate and once inside we just need to place a beacon of sorts for our distraction. When Everyone is distracted we head to Belk's spire and destroy the pods and take any data that seems useful, maybe kill Belk if he's nearby.
You'll need to do it lass, I'm driving and you're closer to the Vox gear.
>Alice points to the Vox gear that's on LIX's right.
I'm assuming LIX is sitting in the hull with Alice, if not I apologize and will Retcon.
I agree, there ain't no way we're going near Commoragh, I mean if you guys want to do it then go nuts, you'll get shrekt, but go nuts.
>At this point, the Sergeant would have spent the last half hour aimlessly wandering the base, Malak would be even less sure of where he is at the moment.
Ok, so if I just passed the mess hall, and the command Center is a 5 minute walk west of here... Then where in BLOODY WARP AM I!?!
ARRGGH! THIS IS HOPELESS!!! Why is it that the Tech priests and architects who design these damn places make it so hard to find the Regimental Offices! All I want to do is figure out this 4th degree Warp Fuckery that are my transfer orders... Is that honestly so hard?
Did I ever tell you that I have a photographic memory? No? That I remember everything i see and am fluent in a number of alien languages?
Let me tell you something about the Eldar Language. The Eldar can have a conversation using their body language, a feat human bodies cannot replicate. And the Commorites are even more physically capable than their Craftworld brethern, If we're going to pose as anything, it will be as non-eldar traders.
>A Blacked out, wheeled Tarox pulls up to the camp with a blood thirsters head mounted on the bonnet.
>The doors open and 2 guardsmen wearing suits climb out and open a rear door
>A large man climbs out of the back and adopts a atlas like pose.
"I'm back nerds"
That's a ballsy plan Jackson. While I respect it for that, what do we do if they figure us out too quickly? And Terra knows I'd never be mistaken for an Eldar. I'd never even fit into their armor.
My contacts are Eldar with a bigger grudge than normal. They know of a well used portal and through studying them literally forever and minor illusions. We should go undetected long enough to set the distraction.
No need to be so upset, soldier. Have faith in His plan for you. If you are meant to find your transfer then you will.
Being able to purge the heretic and the alien is important. And I'm always ready to fight for His cause, but that doesn't mean I'll shoot you for not telling me your story. No need to be nervous.
IDK, Greely's probably way slicker than a space marine primarch
And what is your distraction?
You are aware the fewer of us go, the more chance we'll have of success, right?
>LIX ponders with the Vox equipment.
Uh... Penal Regiment /tg/ this is... Delta Fifty Niner... we're approaching over the south with a newfound vehicle, don't open fire, I repeat, don't open fire.
>A Massive Chill would run up the Sergeants spine as he gets the sickening feeling that he might be thrown into a dark pit that ends up in the cities tram system once again.
Well several other teams will go in before us and into hiding. The device we place will open a portal to an Ork infested world. My contacts have promised them good fights in the past and more in the future. They will then charge through the portal causing the distraction. The only problem is that the Orks might attack us if they find us so we need to move fast after opening it.
>OBJ is wearing all white and walks up to each of you, bows and whispers
>Pausing at Wada trying to figure out who's biceps are bigger.
>He then turn's around as a 2nd wheeled Taroux pulls up
"Friends" he says in a strangely calm voice
"My bride to be, Taylor Schwifty"
>The galactic superstar Taylor Schwifty climbs out also wearing all white.
During that confusion we do what we need to and the Eldar do what they need to then we head to the extraction portal they will set up in one of a few areas.
If's like what exactly? I'll happily take any concerns into account.
> Turning towards the Trooper, Malak would let out a sigh of relief.
FINALLY! Someone who seems to know the layout of this hellhole... Everyone else I've talked to doesn't seem to know where ANYTHING is...
>Realizing that the Trooper is still saluting him, Malak quickly collects himself before nodding back
At ease Trooper. To answer your question yes, I'm looking for the Regimental Offices here on base. It seems there was a bit of confusion with my transfer papers and instead of another Orvustillian Guard Regiment, I was transferred into your Penal Regiment, So I am looking to get that fixed. It was apparently signed by one "Lieutenant Jackson" so I'd like to get to the bottom of this.
That's a terrible fucking plan. You're basically escalating from "Fuck Belk" to picking a fight with the entire city, in addition to the Emperor-damned Harlequins.
>Alice abruptly stops the Centurion a bit away from the base and leans over LIX to turn off the Vox set.
Lass, you expressed your worries, only fair if I express mine.....you know what I'm talking about, right?
The plan was laied out before the Belk incident but can be adapted to this situation.
The Eldar will not fuck us over. I trust them. The disguise part will be the riskiest part, I admit that. But It's busting into Commoragh. It wouldn't be there if it were easy to get into.
Of course sir
>returns to ease and turns to the preacher
Thank you for your time sir, but I should really show this man to the regimental offices, praise the emperor.
>Gestures to Malak
If you care to follow me sir I'll lead you there.
No.....at least....not now, we'll talk about those later alright?
>Alice looks like she -does- want to talk about that, but that other business takes priority.
What I refer to now is the fact that the bloody Medic is lying through his teeth to us lass.
>OBJ peacfully walks up the preacher
"Namaste, man of the Emperor"
"Would it be convenient for you to preform a ceremony of joining here?"
>The guards in suit's start going round handing out invitations to various people around the camp
"Taylor Schwifty makes her way into a tent with her bridesmaids.
>Greely's train of thought is derailed by >>44878517
"Holy shit. Ozy's picked his wife. You know, I never thought I would see Taylor Schwifty in a warzone, wearing a bridal gown. I was wrong"
"Trust not the Alien. Especially the Alien you don't have the measure of. And no man can hope to truly get the measure of those tricky assholes"
Just for the record: I've been and I'm still working on a DE character for the past 4 weeks, might let it fall in commorragh if you guys decide to fuck canon and find the hidden city all by yourselves. He'll have nothing to do with Belk, of course.
Of course. Any time, trooper. Emperor be with you.
>Vimes wanders off after they've gone.
You want me to officiate? Of course, just give me a moment. I'll need both of your full names.
>Vimes starts looking through his dataslate.
Hm, been a while since I officiated a wedding. I hope I don't mess this up.
Tissue Samples? Liver Samples? Spinal Fluid samples? Blood Samples? All for a a checkup that I had already received when I was inducted back on Praetoria?
To say nothing of the fact that mentioning exactly this didn't make him shut his hole and move his arse?
He's a lying cunt lass, none of that was necessary for a 'checkup', I know it, my staff knows it and he knows it. But he was relying on me not knowing it.
I get that you might be distrustful of me after...well you know, but he's no bloody better.
I trust you, Alice, what I don't trust is the "magic" that's going on around your... er... "condition"..
And I will grant you that it was a bit odd that he kept insisting but the man was just suppossedly doing his job. Wouldn't be the first time the administratum did stupid, unneccessary procedures. I mean look at me they put me to sleep, gave me general anesthesia when I would just have needed it for the arm and nothing else.
Still, you're my boss, if you say I have to keep an eye over him when I see him I'll do, just... don't let a disagreement escalate over to an armed confrontation, alright? we STILL have an heretic to hunt in this planet, and that's Amelia. There's not enough ammo to waste at each other and her at the same time.
"other stuff" Yeah nah, don't think so.
Plus it's a -flimsy as fuck- disguise to try and hide your sham with a 'routine' checkup, but at this point there is no way I'll go along with any of your plans anyway so....
As have we with Nyzart, but I'm aware of the fact that his agenda is not always going to be ours. I have my reasons for thinking my plan is the better one, but you'll have to trust me.
>Meanwhile, in orbit above Gospyria
Commoragh?!? They want to going ~into~ Commoragh? Can you put me through to these idiots, somehow?
They did -what-?! I'll Vox my retinue on board the ship, we're going to make sure this is all on the level.
But make no mistake, I'm not going to tolerate the lies and nonsense.
>hands her a palm sized device
This is paired with a similar device carried by my agent with the regiment. I've set it to speaker mode, so anyone around will be able to hear you.
>The large blood bowl player dwarfs the preacher in size but in a scarily out of character calm tone
"My dearests name is Taylor Shwifty and mine is Ozymandias Buckingham Jr III"
>OBJ check his communicator
>Something snaps in him and he screams
"WHICH ONE OF YOU FUCK HEADS TIPPED THEM AGHGHGHHGHGHGHG"
>The camp is then surrounded by fans and paparazzi
How did? Oh yeah. Necron. Does he have any thing to add to the plan? Someone as old as him has to know a thing or two about them.
I was hoping Alice would see it as 'Oh he's trying to help me by finding out why I can survive a bolt round to the chest and walk away from it' but it didn't go that way.
Do we, by any chance, have a Telepath handy? It's of the utmost necessity to executing my plan.
And it looks like things are going to get crazy.
"Greely, Anna, I am of hopings you were not stupid enough to agree to this Jackson's plan, or I will do things to you that will make Commoragh seem pleasant."
Hey at least you aren't a Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan-Roulette-Forth Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker player. their fans NEVER leave them alone. And all they ever do is commentate on the matches
You should really tell people about these things before putting them into your plan already.
Also it's all worked out, Alice will know why when time's right.
W-what? Y-you thing they did something with me while I was asleep?
"If you continue in this line, I can always change my recommendation to a negative one."
"I have been to Wicked City before, to kill Belk and his backup. I am telling you, do not go. Apparently he has other way of return, because his skull is my ashtray."
>Glances around at the lower case 'C' chaos
We'll make it quick.
>Taps on the data slate and positions the two of them facing each other.
We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Ozymandias Buckingham Junior the Third to Taylor Shwifty, under the watchful eye of the Emperor, may He bless their union. If anyone here feels that these two should not be married, I advise against speaking out, as he seems quite angry.
>Rushes forward before anyone can say anything.
Ozymandias Buckingham Junior the Third, do you take Taylor Shwifty to be your wife under the Emperor's laws? Do you promise to be true to her in good times and in bad, in health but not in sickness, for sickness is a sign of the influence of the Ruinous Powers, and to love and honor her all the days of your life, however few they may be?
She will never see it anything remotely close to that. She will barely consider him an Ally now, gg.
Lass, he tried to knock me unconscious to do....whatever with that paper thin disguise, I could see them doing something. Maybe a tracker.
We'll get to the bottom of it.
>Alice leans over again and flicks the Vox back on.
Set it to my retinue's emergency frequency lass.
I appreciate the sympathies Gladraw, but they're with the Emperor now. Now lets hurry this impromptu tour up... I keep getting the feeling I'm about to be thrown into a rather large hole again...
>Punches a kid that managed to get inside the camp trying to get a autograph, the kid goes flying and has at best a broken face
"UGHGHGH GET OUT OF MY WEDDDING YOU ANIMALS
>Lean's over to Wada who OBJ is quickly thinking is a top bro
"Get them outta here brah"
>Looks back at Vimes and start screaming before releasing he's not a fan
"I DOOO -cough- I do"
>The paparazzi are now taken thosands of pictures, flashes everwhere.
Inquisitor. He is a haemonculus. Upon death he has another body released from a birthing pod of sorts and his soul is somehow placed inside it. I don't know how it works but unless the pods are destroyed he just keeps coming back. This is what limited knowledge I have been able to gather on haemonculus like Belk
Of course sir
>Comes to a halt
Here we are actually, good luck with whatever paperwork must have gotten mixed up, people who wind up here have a tendency of staying sir.
"Perhaps. Belk sees himself as master gamesman. I would not rule it out. We are fortunate he usually has attention span of hyperactive child."
"We destroyed his pod, just as he came in and slaughtered most of us."
>You notice Greely has left to go elsewhere, which is quite curious.
>Takes the entire affair with a straight face and turns to Taylor.
And do you, Taylor Shwifty, take this man, Ozymandias Buckingham Junior the Third to be your husband under the Emperor's laws? Do you promise to be true to him in good times and in bad, and to love and honor him all the days of your life, until death do you hopefully part?
He might have others. Who knows.
Well it seems my communicator is walking away. I'll see what I can find out and report back to you.
>heads off in the direction of that strange tank that rolled up.
>You realize Verasii is basically broadcasting from you, and he's trying to stay out of audible range as best he can, which he achieves given your failure at being stealthy.
>"I need to find a telepath RIGHT NOW" Greely thinks to himself "or else this whole plan will be fucked"
I appreciate the assistance Trooper. Hopefully you don't end up killed out there on whatever suicidal mission the Regiment sends you out on.
>He would quickly open the door and step inside before even noticing the meeting going on.
>Opens tank hatch.
>Notices the thousands of Papparazis running around.
>None of them is fucking interested on the dead people around them.
>None of them is interested on Watcher's Point being literally sink to the underground.
>None of them is fucking interested in this fucking pointless war that's killing faithful and heretics alike.
>The center of it all is a fucking wedding.
>They're wedding literally 10 steps away from a sinked city.
>the interrogators all receive a communication at the same time
"The heresy of Agri world Somerius has been deemed too dangerous to be allowed to spread further. As the dispatched Inquisitorial forces proved unable to solve the issue and launch a counter attack against the heretical forces, let alone kill or capture the sorcerer responsible of the uprising, an Exterminatus has been ordered on Somerius, scheduled to hit in 24 hours from now. May the Emperor assist you."
>OBJ is distracted picking paparazi over his head and throwing them over the fence while they try and take a upskirt of Schwifty.
>Schwifty speaking in a southern accent
"I do partner!"
>As she take a Bangchat and updates her Facetome page with the status 'Just married my baby boy OBJ, isn't he the cutest. #borntobetogether' with picture of OBJ ripping a camera mans arm out it's socket.
I'm fairly certain that he would. And I don't care for his excuses or 'rationalization'. We're making sure if it.
>Alice switches her Vox headset to transmit externally and eyes the base through the view slit.
"Patrick, it's Alice, Code Secundus Evac on my position, we're in the tank that just rolled up to the base. Make it snappy."
"Aye, we'll be on the way lass, few minutes oot."
>Harper's Thunderhawk lands for his squad and himself to embark, before it takes off and starts flying towards the new vehicle.
Will you close the bloody hatch lass? We'll be oot o' this shitehole as soon as that 'Hawk lands near us.
Well that's fookin fabulous innit."
LIX! YOU ARE IN NO CONDITION TO DO ANYTHING! STAND DOWN!!
>Presses a button on his arm
"VOLCORP VOLKITE BUSTER IS NOW IN ACTIVE MODE. YOU MAY NOW INSERT A VOLCORP ALTERNATE FIRE MODULE OR ENGAGE YOUR FOE. VOLCORP - WE SOLVE PROBLEMS! "
"Throne, this thing is loud."
Ah, shit... I gotta prep everything to move, again.
>"damn I was expecting at least another week before this. Well I got the readings I needed."
Delta, calm down. Just, let them pass. Once it's over they'll all leave.
Then with the power vested in me by the Adeptus Ministorum and the God-Emperor of Mankind, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride. If you find the time to stop beating that man's teeth down his throat.
>Walks off to administer last rites to those OBJ has killed
>OBJ and Schwifty both kiss before being pushed into chairs and raised above the guests heads.
>Music starts playing and they dance around with OBJ and Schwifty above them. The guys carrying OBJ are clearly struggling to carry the bloodbowl player and call for Wada to help.
>Greely hits the middle button
"PLEASE INSERT ALTERNATE VOLCORP FIRING MODULE"
>A hole opens in the side of the weapon-arm. Greely gestures for you to look inside, but again shushes you.
>Turning back towards the sound of music playing in the background, Malak would begin rubbing his temples while letting out a loud audible sigh.
I need to get out of this chicken shit outfit and back to an Orvustillian Regiment...
>She's not turning her head from OBJ
10 feet away from a city that sinked barely two hours ago.
On a planet's that's going to be victim of an Exterminatus.
And they don't even flinch.
They don't even care.
If anyone tells them that an Exterminatus fleet is coming I'm killing that person. Let them celebrate, let them be here for twenty four hours.
>Phase blade turns off
Let this scum get what they deserve...
I need to save a soul from this exterminatus first. Wait for me if the transport comes alright?
You're staying in this fucking Tank, I've had enough of this and the Thunderhawk is right there.
>True to her word, Harper's 'Hawk lands a short distance away from the vehicle and drops it's ramp, with the Stormtroopers looking rather confused by everything that seems to be going on.
Now just please close the hatch will you?
>The music keep playing but is faded out as Schwifty appears on the main stage in skimpy outfit and debuts her new song "Blank Void"
>OBJ looks down at Wada and actually seem to be enjoying himself
"Nah man I'm a Linebacker I signed with the inquistion from the Praetorian Predators, you look like a guard though!"
>OBJ climbs out the chair and hi 5's the ogryn
>Both of them hit each others hands with a force that would kill a normal person
>OBJ makes his way over to the bar and chucks Wada a keg and grabs one for himself while tipping the bar tender with a 1000 throne note.
The Holy STC must never be altered, and this noise is the result.
>You see a small item inside the port that is clearly not part of the weapon.
>Greely motions for you to stay silent, snatches up a nearby insect, and shoves it in your face with his free hand, points at the arm, makes another shushing motion, and nods.
>Gets a message a bit later.
Thank you Arch-Deacon. I will. May His light shine on us all.
>Vimes jogs over towards the her and the Thunderhawk.
Trooper. What are your standing orders?
Negative. I'm not leaving him behind.
I'm giving him a propper burial.
>Gets out and closes the hatch from outside, Runs towards the remains of Watcher's Point and into the ruins of the crashed gunship that made for the Watcher's Home.
You're coming with me.
>rolls his shoulder, the shotgun on his back pressing against it a bit
Sir? Just infantry sir, wait for orders, get pointed at a hill and either take it or meet the Emperor.
>Having returned from the Regimental Offices due to the lack of any Officers or other troops. Malak makes his way through the crowd and towards Gladraw
I'm not exactly sure Trooper... But I've got a rather bad feeling about it. That and the Irresistible feeling that I'm about to get body slammed into a giant hole by a man who beats other men to death with their own arms...
>Wada hands the Keg to one of the Guys who had been holding the bloodbowl beforehand. The Ogryn gives the Newlyweds a Nod and leaves.
>The Ogryn searches for the Preacher.
>he hits the last button
>"VOLCORP VOLKITE BUSTER IS NOW IN SAFE MODE. YOU MAY NOW REMOVE THE WEAPON TO PERFORM MAINTAINANCE, OR PLACE WEAPON INTO RETRACTED MODE."
>Greely hits the first button, and the cylinder slides back up the grooves in his forearm.
"What. is. a. nother. word. for. in. sect."
>he hisses the words quietly
>he shushes you and nods.
Wtf, is the Volkite weapon possessing him? This is very UnGreely.
>Harper waves Vimes over to the Thunderhawk as his squad start covering everyone.
>"A dead body? What sorta joke is this shit?"
>Alice drives the Centurion towards the Thunderhawk, smoothly up the ramp and into the hold.
so, I am endin this Amelia thing, and therefor the failure that the somerius arc was. I am sure it was just me not being able to make Amelia and her goons a credible, or interestin threat for you people to face, that's why you preferred to sit on watcher's point and engage other plotlines - and villains- that suited your tastes better. Forgive me for wasting your time, and have fun in comorragh, though I hope you are not really going there for the sake of what little canon is left.
The three of you. There's a small altar out past the barracks. I need you to pack it up, crate everything in it, then find the first transport to the Penance. If anyone asks, then you say I told you to do it and they should come to me. Go.
>Walks off before they can ask questions.
>Heads over to him.
Trooper. When do you take off?
>Crouches to get a hold of Omicron's body.
>It's hard with just one arm.
>She still manages to get him over her shoulder and somehow not fall down trying.
Fuck this planet.
Fuck the papparazis
Fuck the heretics.
You deserve better than this legacy.
You deserved much better than this.
>She's carrying his remains back to the thunderhawk
I miss you...
I haven't laughed again since you're gone...
>Walks over the ramp with Omicron's body.
>OBJ carries Taylor Schwifty into a waiting pleasure yacht.
>The yacht has just married written on the back and can's attached with rope
>OBJ stands on the ramp
"See ya losers!"
>The ramp closes but quickly opens again
"Watch my new show DIY SOS with me OBJ this friday at 8 cycles where I help the Suarez family on this very planet!"
>The ramp closes again and the ship makes it way up into the void of space, it rocking slightly from the private quarters.
Wh- B-But I- This is- ....FUCK!
>having gone from confused, to angered, and then back to his usual self, Malak looks at the two troopers next to him before issueing his orders.
ALRIGHT YOU LOT! YOU HEARD THE PRIEST! FALL IN BOTH OF YOU! I WANT THAT ALTER PACKED UP 5 MINUTES AGO! GRAB YOUR GEAR AND LETS MOVE IT!
>Jackson nods then rubs his chin
>after a few seconds he motions over to a nearby building surrounded by red shuttle craft.
what? I think Amelia is a great foreboding all powerful villain. It's just we haven't been able to advance. I just got the base set up. I would have liked to keep going on this planet but Vymple became leaderless and we had no support.
He's not talking, the device is. Should have indicated that better
>Greely picks up a mic from the wedding DJ
"OK, everyone, listen up, You all have 24 hours to return from whence you came because this wedding party was so sick they're dropping a bomb on this shit!"
>Sets it down
"At least I saved someone."
Jackson is the only one who wants to go to Commoragh IC, I've been trying to get that shit on the back burner so we can focus more on Amelia/Virmanthas
>Having grabbed the necessary gear, Malak leads the two penal troopers towards the Altars location, Grumbling under his breath the entire way.
Fucking.... Stupid Ogr-... "Go get the Altar-..." Fuck this planet....
>Crouches and drops the, (suppossedly) now only made of bones, remains of Omicron inside the transport.
>She'd had done it more carefully if she could use both her arms.
I'm taking him for a propper burial with me.
If anyone has a problem with it say He or She can say it to my face.
>Looks over each of the stormtroopers in the ship
Stow it! BOTH OF YOU! We've got a job to do... and I'd rather not still be here lugging back an Altar when they EXTERMINATUS THE ENTIRE PLANET!
>Continues to grumble under his breath the rest of the way there.
>Inside is a small card and gift
"Thanks for being our Best Man Love OBJ and Shwifty!"
>Inside the box is a signed shiny OBJ Praetorian Predators bloodbowl collectors card, some cigars and one of Schwiftys backing dancers comm number (OBJ has written under "Enjoy Bro!".
>Harper again tilts his head before looking towards Vimes.
Very well, we'll spare a few minutes for a few more, along with yourself. But -only- them, nothing personal to yourself sir.
>Alice drops off the engine deck of the tank onto the deck of the 'Hawk and looks at LIX.
You know, really not liking the possibility that you might harm any of my men for voicing a valid opinion, even if they aren't going to.
Thank you lieutenant. I just wanted to make sure they would get off planet intact.
>Climbs aboard the Thunderhawk.
I'm aboard and ready to take off.
>The priest turns.
It's a good thing you're doing. I'll oversee the funeral if you'd like.
Very well, lads, we're bugging out.
>Alice pulls on a headset and after a brief conversation with the pilot, the ramp lifts and the Thunderhawk takes off for the Penance.
Sincerely Alice? I wasn't going to harm them, but I could not care less about how they'd answer to my question. I was going to carry him in anyways and take full responsability of whathever happenned next.
I would... I would appreciate that...
Get a seat you two. Just try to make sure I stay away from OBJ or I don't answer for my acts.
"You really concerned or are you just looking for a fight? Because Lho-sticks don't work for me anymore, we're indirectly responsible for these people turning against us - Vympel directly so, and I've got a sadomaschochistic boogeyman alien in my rearview who wants to ~fuck~ me, Anna, and Jackson to death with ~steak knives~ and and.. fuck I didn't mean to mention that. SHIT!"
Good! then lets MOVE OU-
> He'd suddenly be interrupted by sound of a bolter round hitting the partially collapsed concrete wall next to him.
>Quickly looking towards the location that the Bolter round had come from, he'd see several large, hulking, metal encased, black and gold colored figures standing atop a rather large pile of rubble, each with large spikes protruding from their armor
AMBUSH! TAKE COVER!!
Yes. That shuttle over here
>points to a red shuttle being loaded with men and supplies.
Sargent! This way hurry!!
>waves him over to the same shuttle
I'd gladly put up a fight if anyone brings it up to me right now, Greely.
I'd gladly kill OBJ now too...
And I'd gladly drink myself to oblivion knowing Omicron's people is no more and will never be again.
>Dives for cover and draws his shotgun peeking out
Damnit! Is that power armor? Fuck!
>Roots through his bag and pulls out a strange looking stimm, pulling up his sleeve to expose his horribly scarred arm from injection after injection he jams it in and releases the combat drug into his system
>Greely comes down from withdrawal.
"That was totally unprofessional of me. I apologize. I've just got a lot to worry about right now, i'm sure you can relate."
>Having slapped himself behind a half collapsed concrete wall just as they started shooting, Malak calls out to the others
YOU TWO ALRIGHT! I COUNTED AT LEAST 5 UP THERE! MIGHT BE MORE!
>He quickly moves back as a Bolter round goes through the concrete next to him, narrowly missing him by an inch
God Emperor Protects! Either of you got a communicator on you? I left mine back at base!
I'll get him. Just stay in the shuttle.
>dives over and scoops up Rax, then injects him with a stimm
>runs over to trooper Gladraw
We gotta move trooper. Get to the shuttle
>firing Hellgun one handed
>Ordenius Quickly fires a few Las rounds back at the power armored traitors, but seemly misses every shot
FUCK ME! PUT ME DOWN DAMMIT! I CAN'T SHOOT LIKE THIS!
>The Thunderhawk soon reaches a Bay towards the bow of the ship and comes in to a smooth landing, then drops it's ramp.
Well Preacher, this is our ship, you can take a room in the 'Crew' portion of the ship, same with you Gary.
Thankfully it keeps you separate from the rest of these louts.
Sincerely if there's anything this regiment has teached me is that you can dig profesionalism really deep at times if you want to keep standing over the constant shit it throws at you.
I never had friends before, Greely, I'm an Assassin I'm not allowed, nor suppossed to have them. But this bloody regiment... Omicron... Alice... You...
It's stronger than any blink of professionalism I've ever had...
And I'm both grateful and hateful about it because...
I never felt how it was like to loose a friend before... but I'd never trade them for anything...
>Falls back to the shuttle with Gladraw.
>the troopers he was training earlier are firing from the doors of a few others.
Alright that's the last of us. Let's go.
Malak, Let's go get aboard!!!
>Alice takes a seat on the other side of LIX and somewhat hesitantly wraps an arm around her shoulder.
It'll be alright....we might just have to deal with a few problems....
Speaking of.....about that possibility with the arm...
>Taps his commbead
"Alright everyone, we're getting out of here now! Jackson, this means you!"
"Sorry about that. But Jackson, he's the type that when he gets an idea in his head he just can't drop it."
"What you were saying, though, Loss is a constant risk in our line of work. But I swear on the throne if I never see Battlegroup Vympel again it will be too soon."
>One of the marines collapses and ghostly figure appears to walk through him before disappearing and reappearing standing on the shoulders of another one.
>It then puts what looks like a claw through the marines helmet and he collapses too
>It looks up at you with a Skull mask and a massive Smile on it before disappearing to kill more marines.
>Fading in and out of reality the whole time
>Taking a few more pot shots at the traitor Marines before running as fast as his feet can carry him towards the transport
I'M COMING! HOLD THE DOOR!
Rolling to see if I get a round or two through me
>places Rax on a seat.
Glad you're still alive.
No. We're taking off as Gladraw gets aboard.
>Flicks on the helmet cam.
Thanks buddy. I owe you one. I'll keep the ones I saved safe.
>holds a thumbs up to the figure.
>Malak would quite litterally be jumping over entire piles of rubble as the bolter rounds begin to fade off.
>As he reaches the open doors of the transport, He'd take one glance back, seeing the ghostly figure fading in and out of existance killing the traitors. He'd simple shake his head, pretending it had never happened before heading futher inside the transport
Alright! That's the last of them!! Let's get outta here.
>The group of transports quickly lift off then head to orbit and point themselves to the hanger bays
>The figure finishes off the marines before reappear inside the crashed thunder hawk home in what was once Watcher's point.
>It turns on a vox unit which start's playing
>Looks over at a painting on the while (see image)
>Takes off skull mask and smiles before looking up at the sky in the direction of the shuttles leaving orbit and gives a thumbs up
>The whole planet is engulfed in flames as the Exterminatus hits.
Hey hey, easy lass, it's.....mostly fine, come on, we'll need to find something to put Omicron in while we wait to find a suitable planet to bury him on.....unless you want give him a burial in space?
>Looking up and over towards the rest of the men within the transport, Malak would speak between taking large breaths of air, sweat pouring down his face.
By the God Emperor... Those were... Chaos Space marines.... Weren't they... Never faced one of those before... Hope I never have to again...
>sets his gear down in his old cabin
Heh, not much has changed, has it...
sorry for not being a little more involved, out riding now
>The group of shuttles land in the hanger of the ship
>the shuttles have quite a few dents and bolt round impact marks on them
Wasn't the first and it certainly won't be the last
Been... meaning to talk to you... About that...
>Having finally calmed down from the running earlier, Malak turns towards the inquisitorial lieutenant
I think you made a mistake with my transfer papers.
I did not ask for these feels.
>Has already broken into tears.
I want to bury him...
Space took him away once already... I want him to be stationary... somewhere I can return years later to pay my respects.
Many times. That's what happens when you join at 12 and fight till your 30.
Well it doesn't matter now. You're officially stuck with us. I hereby welcome you to this regiment. Have fun. Besides even if I could transfer you out it would take dozens of years to do so.
Is delta still in the hanger?
usually on Mondays there is also a steam group
Usually Monday at 2PM GMT, there's a Steamgroup you can join if you wished, usually an announcement when the first thread of any day we do it goes up.
Praetoria maybe? It could be arranged....
>Alice gestures for a Stormtrooper to find a sufficiently large crate with her free hand.
>hands her a bottle of tyranid moonshine
Here. Drink to his memory. And why not bury him on Gospirya, where we found him?
Yup. Recall that I'm building a Confederate themed IG army? I'm a cavalry reenactor is why
>He'd just start chuckling at this. He'd honestly be to exhausted to do anything else.
Yeah and I guess your stuck with me as well. Nice to feel welcomed at least...
>A bright light from the planet being cleansed shines through OBJ's pleasure cruises cabin window
>He just put's on some sunglasses and get's back to whatever he was doing with schwifty while looking in the mirror flexing.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/40k_penal_regiment here and we have wiki with character guide here https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Campaign:Penal_regiment_designation_/tg/#Characters
Two new threats I have to worry about, and I know for a fact this won't be the end of our old enemies. Especially not Virmanthas. At least I think we can write off the Iron Warriors..
No... I know he was not welcome there...
>Accepts the bottle.
>Drinks desperately, as if she hadn't drunk in ages.
G-gospirya? Y-yes it could be a good place... if it wasn't so dangerously close to the Tau controlled space... but aside from that the planet was beautiful and worthy enough for the cause...
Hey. It doesn't look it but it's a nice place. If you'd like I can put you up for a gear upgrade.
>exits the shuttle and watches Anna's pod be safely unloaded then wheeled off to the medlab
>hears the crying from the hawk
>enters and looks at the body then at delta
You got him out. Good. Never leave a friend behind.
As you wish....can probably make a stop off there....hm....I'll need to speak with someone.
>Harper and his Stormtroopers turn to face Jackson but otherwise do nothing.
>Takes out the sedative Jackson gave her back in Praetoria.
I think this is yours, Jackson... I've just remembered that I still held that in my pocket.
I have failed... completely... I thought I could protect Omicron's people, if not at least save his planet from an Exterminatus...
>Curls into a ball in a corner next to Omicron
And I failed...
He was like a brother to me and I couldn't even save his legacy... The work of his life...
He was fun to be around
Delta... He saved us... Just now, on the planet. I tried to take some footage but I don't know if it worked. Ask any of the men guarding the transport. He killed two dozen Chaos Marines. He got us off the planet.
Hey, hey, you failed nothing, not your fault what happened.
>Alice pulls LIX closer and tries to coax her to take another few drinks.
It'll all be alright. Just relax, what -you- need is rest.
"If it's worth anything, I failed to stop Vympel too. Could have changed the whole scenario, but that fuck had to kill everyone... That's it, Battlegroup Vympel and their commander are going on the list."
Good to see you two here. And the altar.
>He closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose.
Just drop it off over there.
>Gestures to his quarters.
>And his hands start to shake.
>removes his helmet
I'm not joking or lying. He was there. Same mask, same suit, same gauntlet, same laugh. He was like a ghost or something. He would be over there then one second, then over there the next.
this will most likely be the last of these threads I will be joining. As much as I like being part of it, I feel like I'm just wasting posts, thus I'll be lurking and feeding off the ever evolving story. The regiment no longer needs me or my madness. Gibbers, Rogan and Rax signing off to lurking.
Sorry Wada, I don't. I'm sure you can find someone to assign them to you.
>He clenches his fist and keeps it at his side.

>plugs the helmat cam into a data slate and pulls up the captured image.
Look, it was him alright.
Please stay in the game, I loved reading of all those characters, you're not wasting posts.
I don't care... not when it's Omicron's people and not when he has no respect for any Imperial life...
We've been a while in page 10, making a new thread now
Savlar...no wonder you came out of there an addict.
And I could have...should have...warned more people.
>He leans against the wall.
I need to ask you a favor. 20 milligrams dexomethocycline. Can you get your hands on it?
Follow the trooper. He'll be able to find rooms and meals for both of you.
>Looks up at the Ogryn.
You did a good job Wada. The Emperor is proud of you.
