Megacorp controlled sector: After a horrifically one-sided slaughterfest, I can see the megacorps ruthlessly exploiting the locals. On the plus side, the people in that world are used to fighting monsters so with a little training they should be helpful against the Dark Legion.

Dark Legion controlled sector: You poor bastards..... Algeroth's legions pour through the gate and start slaughtering everything in their path. Then the Dark Apostles erect Black Citadels and start processing the entire population into Necromutants, Undead Legionaries or worse.

Arguably Earth would be the best scenario I doubt Whitestar is interested in sending an expeditionary force through what is almost certainly a Dark Legion trick. I still would give those orcs and romans about a day before they wander into a Radioactive hot zone and die puking.

Well it's traveller so it largely depends on the world where tho gates opens.

Tech level 1-5 would probably go in favor of the fantasy world.

Tech Level 10-15 would either have to fight through the bureaucracy of the empire to contact a lesser developed world or just wipe the place clean with nuclear fire and call the gate a scientifically breakthrough.

What you forget is that once that gate is opened the first thing that will come out of it is a magical roman army hell bent on slaughtering everything bigger than mouse in the name of conquest. And you realize how fucked any and all factions in the Mojave will be when they have to contend with this massive and well equipped force.

Do you think the NCR could defend the Mojave from that? They're already dealing with, and losing to, a completely different Roman inspired army, even if it really is ragtag horde of slave soldiers armed with machetes.

To put this in terms of the struggle for the Mojave before the Courier interferes with it, this would be like taking an entirely new and separate Ceaser's legion, in addition to the one they're already fighting. Imagine that those battle hardened soldiers are now heavily disciplined and trained for formation fighting and other battlefield tactics instead of machete wielding skirmishers, but no less bloodthirsty or eager to rape and pillage en mass. Now imagine they are backed on the battlefield by actual wizards, horrific trained battle beasts, and fucking wyvern close air support.

Not even House could deal with that shit.

Our setting is our GM's homebrew. It's a futuristic space opera with a dash of xenoscience and xeno pseudomagic sprinkled in. We've already accidentally destroyed three planets, and another planet we fucked up on purpose. The Northern Kingdoms are fucked, of course. They just got invaded by basically another Nilfgaard.

Then it would be a battle between the Fantasy Roman's ancient world legion tactics vs. the fast-moving caravans and massed, heavy cavalry of the Nilfgaardian Blitzkrieg.

Of course, the Gate world have just fucked themselves, because now the White Frost will consume their world as well. To say nothing of what will happen when the Wild Hunt detects their intrusion.
