Might have happened when I wasn't looking, but I haven't seen a DYP thread in ages.
You know what to do, folks.
I don't have hands, but my party consists of
A plant monk/dragonfire adept
A flying jelly warmage/bard
The reanimated mind of the paladin/warlock who had to reroll stats and ended up as a crystalline shard shaping itself into a human form which is functionally an aegis/artificer
I like collecting the art. It gives me ideas for my own stuff.
Slow, but looks very promising!
Found this is a quest once. Not exactly a party but same style.
I wouldn't say it makes everyone salty, but it does end up killing the thread.
It used to end threads, because everyone would stop posting to discuss the story and characters.
Now when posted everyone just turns into huge contrarians and claims they never liked it, and it was always the worst.
I DMed a fun Star Wars game for these characters here. These portraits were made by tg's Nate Pilgrim.
That's right, the guy wanted to make a force sensitive Twi-lek Michael Jordan that plays a game called Hoopin' Slam. It is exactly like Basketball, except instead of a ball, you use gungan energy balls; and the players use a special force reactive dust to create an exact copy of themselves to play the game with.
The guy also fights by chucking those energy balls at foes, or if he is using his signature "Battle Slam" Force Technique, then he would slam dunk the ball into the foe.
Oh and he talks in ebonics.
That's right. He's a member of the Kissai Caste specifically.
The jist of his backstory was that he was brought up as a Sith Lorekeeper, and found himself more curious about other adherents to the force rather than desire to murder them.
On one particular mission that found himself off in Wild Space, his ship crashed on a planet where a lone Jedi Temple was. Without a way of fixing his ship, he entered into the Jedi Temple and studied the library extensively; eventually finding a holocron detailing a force power to contact across great distances at the cost of bodily fortitude.
The person he contacted was a Jedi Master who, sensing him, rescued him from the planet to be brought to Coruscant for questioning. In short, the Jedi sensed that the Kissai had started seeing the force in the Jedi way while stranded; and as an experiment, the Jedi Order brought him into the fold.
The backstory was more detailed than that, but it sounded reasonable so I allowed it. He added a ton to the game, so he's a good character.
Octavian is best character. I love it when people seriously play to trope and try and do a good job.
"whats your character"
"a human paladin"
"oh, uh are you vengeance or whatever? I love judge dread, I thought of making a crossbow wielding assassin paladin"
"nah I'm just out for good and chivalry"
"but you use a cool weapon right? I was going to make a paladin that used a spike chain!"
"Nope sword and board."
"I saved a princess once."
Say, I've been making a lot of tokens for my games on maptools and roll20. Nearly all of them are just a simple round boarder with some image I shamelessly ripped from a google search though.
I've been thinking though. Is there a paper doll sprite generator? Like, say I wanted to use the isometric map mode in maptools. Having sprites for tokens would be really keen.
Innawoods is a lot like what I'm thinking of.
This seemed like the thread to ask about it in.
100 lightyears in MS paint, and I still couldn't figure out how to get rid of the dotty effect near the lines. Picture is a but outdated, more accurate to the start of the game. I just can't believe this fucking game has lasted as long as it has, kill me please.
The ratio of new content to reposts is higher than ever. How about posting something new instead of being the kind of person who has sex vicariously through other men with their significant other?
Yeah, we should all do our part. Don't sit back and watch someone else do the work you should be doing, to the things you enjoy.
