A cool idea for a postapoc game is that if you find old bullets that either you dont have a gun for or dont work, once you start or find a fire you can melt the lead bullet itself into sling bullets. Lead bullets would provide better armor penetration then stones. Any ideas?

Not really
What I've been thinking about are possible gunpowder sources in a postapoc game, areas around volcanic areas would have everything for proper gunpowder, hard to ignite powder would have the sulfur replaced with an equivalent amount of extra charcoal, alternative powders can be made with paper impregnated with saltpetre, as well as proper cordite if explosives can be made.
Weapons would be similar to sharps rifles converted to flint lock to manual cartage firearms and direct blowback guns.
Depending on if the faction/tribe can make or barter for powder would change their weapon types. Slings, bows, and crossbows would be common with such groups.

Interesting. If there is aluminum and rust, thermite can be made.

Is that an air rifle?

Yup the whole absolutely no gunpowder/explosives manufacturing is kind of stupid. Somewhere in between is much more believable to me.

Why are you posting strait up fantasy in a post apoc thread at least try to stick with OP.
Does anyone have any non baseball bat with stuff tacked on homemade melee weapons.
