Hey /tg/ Anons.
Has anyone tried putting stats on Saitama from OPM yet?
Can his power even be quantified, or should he remain stat-less?
if we can't Stat Saitama-kun, how do we have fun and tell meaningful game-stories in a superhero's game instead of just falling back to stat-munching and dick measuring?
If you put stats on it someone will find a way to kill it. Saitama has defeated the strongest opponent in his known universe so he is unkillable. If you stay him he becomes kills be so we cannot stay him/
its pretty easy actually.
Its a lot like statting Pun-Pun. The stats are whatever stat is needed to win. They are arbitrarily large, and essentially infinite. Except OPM's INT, CHA and WIS which are both around 9's.
And then he punches holes in it in a random direction, hoping to find a way out.
Lady of Pain finds out, gets pissed at him for ruining her maze, pulls him out of the maze, and gets punched.
>Except OPM's INT, CHA and WIS which are both around 9's.
Oh please, Saitama at least has 11 WIS, if not way more if we're counting his ability to effortlessly dodge incoming attacks.
He does doll out sagely advice after all.
Obviously you can never properly stat saitama, but how's this for capturing his essential character?
Let's try to salvage this meme thread. Instead of statting the unstattable, let's try to stat a few other characters.
I don't think Deathtouch gets the point across, you know Deathtouch doesn't get around Indestructible or anything with Regeneration, really.
"When ~ deals damage to a creature, exile that creature." could be more suitable.

I feel proud.
As an additional cost to summoning Saitama, perform 20 push ups, 20 sit ups and 20 jumping jacks (I ain't gonna make you run around) without stopping in under 15 minutes. If you fail, exile Saitama.
This is a good starting point, but I feel the Deathtouch and Double Strike keywords don't quite fit. Deathtouch can easily be overcome, and Double Strike is overdoing it a bit. This is One Punch Man, remember? He only needs to hit with a serious punch once. I like what you did with the tap ability if no enemy is present, but there was no room left for my attempt at it.
This is the best I could do, hopefully OP will accept it and stop making these shitty threads.
In fact, why not just roll a d2?
1: Saitama kills you
2: See 1
That's why he doesn't ever punch at his hardest m8
>waste of dubs
>Trying to stat a character who explicitly exists to mock and ridicule certain genres of anime via reducto ad absurdum
I don't really know if this works, because Tabletop games don't suffer the same problem Shonen Anime does. TTRPGs have hard numbers limits and don't suffer from nonsensical power creep.
I dunno about that, there was the whole foreshadowing of god going on just before the Garou fight that makes me think that Boros wasn't really much compared to some other stuff in the universe.
After all, Boros was undefeated, but he hadn't fought everything yet.
He removed the limit that God put in place to keep him from becoming too powerful.
Level 2 human expert.
Immune to all spells, spell-like abilities, supernatural abilities, and extraordinary abilities.
Feats: Power Attack
but,anon, you weren't shitposting
this is truly gods work you do!
No particular system, just various traits: can't be damaged by anything, can't be affected by anything. All attacks deal up to ∞ irresistible damage and always hit if he wants them to. May dodge any attack.
1)When this character appears from the gm's decision, all players remove themselves from the game. The players have a duty to never allow this gm to run for them or anyone else again.
2) If a player attempts to create this character as their character in a game, the gm is to remove them from the campaign. He is not to allow the player back into his games, for any reason.
3) Any discussion of this character during play time of a session should result in the disbanding of the group and the burning of the campaign notes.
>According to that guy and only that guy.
It's the best we have really, unless we're willing to buy that Saitama's exercise routine actually works, or if we think his determination is somehow different from everyone else.
What if One Punch Man is a force long sealed away through evil and forbidden magicks? What if the BBEG insane wizard tries to unseal his cell and harness his destructive power to rule the world? What if the PCs have to stop him?
What if Saitama is actually unleashed, onepunches the wizard, spars with the party a bit, is disappointed that they can't measure up to him at all and drowns his sorrow by reading manga and watching tv?
>Deathtouch can easily be overcome, and Double Strike is overdoing it a bit.
I think that's fair, but I also think it's more important to capture some degree of personality over hitting the full scope of his power. Here's another go.
>Indestructible, vigilance, reach
He's highly resilient and can basically fly without having the ability himself. I think it's acceptable for him to be hit with bounce, exile, etc. He did almost suffocate on the moon.
>Whenever ~ blocks or becomes blocked by a creature, exile that creature.
>At the beginning of each upkeep, if your opponents control no creatures, tap Saitama.
I still really like this, he's just a guy who is a hero for fun.
He's just a guy who is a hero for fun. Sure, he can be proactive if pushed but on his own he has no direction; no end game. He just wins fights.
>I think it's acceptable for him to be hit with bounce, exile, etc. He did almost suffocate on the moon.
Ehh, sort of. All he had to do was literally jump back down to Earth. I don't think it's possible for him to just be pushed somewhere else.
Remember, this is the kind of guy who could probably be thrown into the void of unexpanded space outside our universe and bounce off of a single hydrogen atom to come right back. The only way to really balance a guy like this and also capture his personality would be to make him nearly impossible to summon in the first place.
>In under 15 minutes
I get people here are fat but that's like a two minute workout
>The only way to really balance a guy like this and also capture his personality would be to make him nearly impossible to summon in the first place.
Say no more, senpai. We're reaching Yugioh levels of font size now.
I swear, the next time this thread pops up it's going to start with
>HEY /tg/, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THIS SHOW ONE PUNCH MAN THE MAIN CHARACTER IS
>or if we think his determination is somehow different from everyone else.
But that's exactly it, anon. There's plenty of exmaples along the manga/anime of individuals that obtain huge amounts of power through sheer force of will, and Saitama is the one that went far and beyond anybody else, because he was that much more determined.
