I'm pretty sure, despite even what Tolkien himself said, they are not an intended allegory for the Jewish people. Besides their language kinda sounding like hebrew (alphabet is norse) and their calender, connections besides these two obscure details you'd have a hard time finding more vivid paralells besides perhaps general themes. Even in the interview where he said it Tolkien prefaced by saying "he never intended for it". The guy was notorious for hating allegory and venhemently denied that he wanted the reader to take away any kind of allegorical subtext when reading his books. The dude wasn't an antisemite and that interview is taking pretty wildly out of context
