Don't get me wrong. I've seen every episode. But they are bread and butter shows with little artistic ambition, an overly transparent formula, and ample amounts of fan candy. And that is exactly what makes them easy to render as a great game.

/tg/ once spent an afternoon working out the economics and logistics of the Rape Pit.

Then we made an alternate timeline where the deposed queen liberated the rape pit and used its denizens as a surprise attack force that destroyed the castle from within.

The one writefag wrote about after the queen, accustomed as she was to the elite and unusual debauchery of the courtly life, was thrown in she organized the rape pit so that every one was raping everyone in a big rape circle and everyone was convinced they were raping her because it was pitch dark. Then we decided that this was a metaphor for capitalism.

We did a homebrew based loosely off of the originals/ vamp diaries. ( minus the angst and faggotry). Worked out great. Possibly the mist fun we ever had tt'ing.
Granted, we used the shows as a model, and kept it fairly simple.( only 5 possible starting classes).

Bad shows can make great games.

I did too, I ran out of Vorkosigan books and HH was vaguely reminiscent so I read them all. I can't remember how many but it was around 8 and I guess it was all Mary Sue shit in hindsight.
