I've got a small BT ally force for my Guard.

I generally face shooty armies, mostly Tau. And I just don't fancy footslogging across the field with that kind of firepower coming my way. The way I play is my Guardsmen hold the line and die standing while the Drop Pods soar in behind those juicy groups of firewarriors.

You don't need 20 bolt and chainsword zealots to carve up a Tau gunline if you get that close. Hell, throw a flamer in there and you can manage with 5 and some Neophyte meat-shields.

And while we're on the heretical foot literally every chapter has something heretical about them whether it be impure geneseed or by their deeds: imperial fists eat human flesh as part of their induction, flesh tearers have turned on their allies plenty of times from the black rage, etc. But everybody just focuses on the dark angels for their heresies even though theyre all understandable and pragmatic actions and almost literally every chapters nature can be summed up in a few words.
