What's the one RPG system you hate the most?
I'm not talking about what's got the most objectively unplayable rules or terrible fluff, like FATAL or some shit. I mean something that could well be a decently designed game with some good ideas in it, but you personally, for whatever reasons highly unique to yourself, just really can't stand it.

Great setting, the worst goddamn system i ever touched.
Luckily it was very conversion friendly toward a slightly modified version of the storyteller system.

>Hard mode: no edition of D&D.
Okay...
Well, that would have to be either Dungeon World or Double Cross, because I got suckered into actually paying for those. Not sure which counts, because I did manage to get some value out of DW and much of my hate for DX is directed at the ludicrously shoddy localization job rather than the system itself.
What is the strongest TCG monster card?
>mfw i've seen a 6000/5000 card destroyed by man eater bug
It's not just infinite power.
It's 2xInfinite power.
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) when a "Don Thousand/Monster B" you control is destroyed, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects, also it cannot attack. Your opponent cannot target other monsters for an attack. During your opponent's End Phase, if they did not declare an attack this turn, they lose the Duel.
I want to use 5e as a base for a small science fiction campaign with a few friends. The idea is based in more hard sci-fi concepts then science fantasy, so my main problem is refluffing classes. Any advice for this? Ideally I would t want psycher type characters. But I don't know if I just want to remove most caster classes. The cleric and the paladin wouldn't be as problematic. That said, I do want to include Newtype -esque developments. Any advice?
Why is only one of his legs shaved
>>53600997
He was midway through shaving and didn't want to look feminine when the cameraman showed up.
>>53600959
You're either going to have to modify the setting or the rules a lot to make this work, DnD isn't made to work with hard sci-fi

>Thiel became Captain of the 2nd Company of the Ultramarines after the Heresy!
>There are now Tetrarchs again in 40k.
>The Sisters of Silence see Guilliman as living saint - they are glad he is back and they worship him.
>When Guilliman spoke with the Emperor during the gathering storm he was shocked how his "father" really sees him - not as a son, but a tool. So yeah, this builds up on the MoM story line. (I actually skipped quite to the end of the novel for this one).

How do you do demons in your setting, /tg/? Forces of pure evil? Nuanced and relatable "fallen" deities? No less good/evil than the other gods?
In my setting "demons" are the major spirits (more or less equivalent to gods) who refused to submit to the authority of the primary god. Demons represent pride, ambition, and rebelliousness. Some have darker aspects than others.
The lesser demons are the spirits on my world which were swayed by the demons and refused the authority of the gods. They vary in size and shape, but what ties them together is an inability to completely exist in the real world, as part of them exists in the Unseen World, a hidden parallel to our own.
One type of lesser demon is a jinn-like one which has its own invisible society in the unseen world. Jinn aren't servants to the greater demons, and choose who to worship just like other races. Jinn are tricksters who can appear and disappear at will, and often attempt to trick mortals.
Others include imps, simple lesser servitors, and shapeshifting demons which serve the darker ones.
Bounce ideas off each other, I want to hear how you guys do it.
Lords of Chaos and Law, respectively, just as angels and dragons can be.
>>53598181
Should my demons dwell in their own realms floating around space or deep underground? What makes more sense for high fantasy
Spirits are ethereal echoes of mortal actions, the difference between a demon and angel is the intent of the action that spawned it. (Kinda like a tulpa?)
It's fun thinking of what makes one "bad". Would telling Timmy his dead cat really went to live on a farm spawn a malicious pact making fiend, or rather a guardian that makes people feel comfort?
They live in a Hades like afterlife where all the dead go. The good people are protected by the spirits they made. Bad people are tormented by the creatures they birthed as thanks for creation.
So, I have to admit that after reading whole box set I'm still uncomfortable in the campaign stetting. I love it, but I can't think of anything beyond classic city-of-the-world Sigil-only adventures that most of the settings could handle.
Torment is of little help in the problematic area, for it's centred on Nameless one, not some random cutters and berks. It's also nearly Sigil-only game.
So, what adventure/product would show how to stroll through birdcage and Beyond?

For the amount of people that wank off to Planescape topic seems quite dead.
>>53597982
There's plenty of planes out there, berk. Try reading some of the old adventures for ideas on how to theme your campaign, and consider the strife between factions, beliefs, and the potential for exploration within the planes. The misty ethereal and all it's infinite demiplanes, the sea of dead gods in the astral, the city of brass, glass, or dis. Read more, it'll inspire you!
If you want specifics, Doors to the Unknown is a good start. It's got some low level intro stuff, faction interaction, plots, plane hopping, and plenty of room for weirdness. I'd read the Guide To series first, though. Another good one is Dead Gods.

I lived in Dubai for a couple months for work and I ran a requiem game based on the city for some friends when I got back.
What are some good "oh shit" panic buttons for Mages, when you are in a sticky situation and need to get out quickly?
Stuff like Space 4 Teleportation, Death 4 Shadow Flesh, retreating into the Twilight, etc. Preferably as low level as possible.
>>53597257
>Have you ever set in the middle east?
Nah.
My oWoD:
>Mainly a vampire setting.
>Hunters exist. There are no herolds/angels. Hunters are basically humanities immune reaction. Conflict between the more traditional inquisition and newe Hunters with Psy etc.
>Werewolfs have no of the spirit/umbra shit. They are very physical beeings. Its more of a curse and werewolfs are a huge threat to a masquerade. They have no society and are hunted by vampires when they arise (they are pretty rare).
>Zombies and Undead exist. Zombies are the mindless shambers easy to control by giovanni etc.
Undeads (not wraith or some of the other more exotic splats) are returned souls who occupy a dead body. This body rots and needs to be sustained with fresh human parts/human meat (not entirely sure). Walking masquerade risk and viciously hunted by vamps and hunters alike.
>Ghosts exist but are mostly harmless. Only very powerful ghosts have the power to truly influence the real world on the places they haunt. If they acquire a body they become undeads.

It returns, with booze and gold clad knights coming along for the ride.

Hmm, sounds tempting, but no.
I have this realy cool DnD group, that I DM, but they are quite different from what I am used to.
They try to avoid all fights and try to make friends with obvious enemies, such as beastmen and goblins. -> best thing is: They are so consequent and good at it, that most of the time I have to let them do this.
But how do I get them to fight the stuff they need to fight. Until now I had the enemies attack them relentlessly, but thats no good solution. I want to convince them that this particular enemy realy needs to go down.
Also: Any fun ideas, what I could do to make use of this strange behaviour? Any ideas for cool rewards, and/or pitfalls?
