>How often does your character wash
Every chance they get
>How many outfits
Depends on the character, but three at a minimum, up to closer to a dozen on the high end (traveling with more than that just isn't worth the space.)
>>53625155
>How often does your character wash their clothes?
She washes after every fight, or whenever it gets dirty. 1k gp for an item of at-will prestidigitation is worth never being dirty.
>Do they have multiple outfits?
At home, yes. On the road, she only carries one spare.
>>53625155
>How often does your character wash their clothes?
at least twice a day. typically a cold shower in the morning, then a hot bath at night.
>Do they have multiple outfits?
one of their bags of holding is practically a portable wardrobe. cold weather gear, hot weather clothes, vacation clothes, high society clothes, stake-out clothes, festive clothes, mourning clothes, relaxation clothes...and then there's adventuring clothes and armor.
I need help /tg/, what sort of challenges should be required for a clutch of Hitler clones competing against one another in a "Faustian Crucible" to determine which one would rule over an "Idaho Free State" in a balkanized United States. Pretend for a moment that it does not end in a death match. The master of ceremonies is Salvador Dali if that helps. No idea is too cringe-inducing. Give me your best, or worst.
Pie eating contest.

why idaho?
>>53625058
For whatever reason, Idaho figures prominently in certain neonazi and Dark Enlightenment circles.

What in your opinion is the best generic role playing system?
I prefer my role playing systems to be both generic and universal.
>>53623736
The problem is that no RPG is truly generic. There are some that try, but they all end up being better at some things than others.
FATE is good for fluffy narrative things, not anything you want to get particularly gritty or detailed with.
Mutants and Masterminds, Valor and the like are all good for big, heroic explodey things, with crazy powers and active combat but don't really work for things that are more subtle.
And GURPS... Well. There are mixed feelings about GURPS.
FATE
I say this because I think it's most convenient and easy to use while being unique enough to not be completely eclipsed by specific genre games.
This is why GURPS sucks for me, because every mechanic crunch can be done easier and more focused by systems that are specifically designed to emulate that genre/feel.

It's adorable!
>>53623121

This is your next campaign setting
What do?
>>53622872
I have no idea what this is, but I guess I'll be an American GI who's out to get his squad home in one piece.

Lament that I deleted all my porn, then tell you an amusing anecdote about my fetish for SS DL homosex.
>>53622872
Is it porn?
Because it looks like a porn to me.
>Reality is being consumed by a dark malign force
>The skies are dead and lifeless, littered with the thrones of dead gods, and light by the dimming light of dying stars
The power of magic fluctuates with the phases of the moon, which are worshiped as if each phase was a member of a pantheon.
>>53622752
>The Moon is a mass of living light, theorized to be the last remnants of the old Pantheon before they were consumed.
Alright, /tg/. I'm working on a high-fantasy setting, and I want to flesh it out, because I've had lots of vague ideas about it in my head but have never really put it on paper, the setting has pretty much evolved in my own head over the course of a couple years. Away from the worldbuilding for a second, I wanted to try a system that wasn't d20 for once to try and use. I'm thinking about Tri-Stat dX, but I haven't looked into it too much. So, anyone know any systems that do high-fantasy well? I know I'm being vague, but any help is appreciated.
>>53622035
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I've played any pseudo-medieval/renaissance fantasy game that wasn't d20 based.
Not "d20 System SRD" based, mind you, but still with the eponymous "d20 + Mod vs DC" as a cornerstone mechanic.
>>53622035
I'm don't know much about Tri-Stat dX (it seems a bit weird that's it's body, mind and soul rather than something like brawn, agility and wits, but I don't know enough of the system that's built on top of the attributes to have an informed point of view on the subject), and I'm not a big fan of high-fantasy (which tends to invalidate normal obstacles and yield a game that's too far detached from the ordinary world to really identify with, in my experience), so I really don't have anything to contribute, except...
Sympathetic bump.

Check Da Archive for the fantasy BESM material. Does a lot of the heavy lifting for you.
Do you get attached to your characters?
Wanting to see my character do well conflicts with my desire to have danger and realistic consequences.
I get scared when they're in trouble. This applies to videogames for me too.
It helps me get into the game and I actually react to things happen realistically, but it's also stressful.
Anybody have this? Is it healthy?
>>53621987
You're playing roleplaying game. Obviously you're meant to get attached.
yeah
>not waifu'ing your character
He is the best thing to happen to 40K, prove me wrong.
Hint:you can't
I can't contest that. I already liked him in Gathering Storm, and Dark Imperium made me like him even more.
>>53621765
I mean not all of 40k, but he's pretty cool with all his insane tech heresy.
>>53621765
>10,000 years old

>spent 0 amount of that time trying to heal the Emperor or find a way to fix the Golden Throne so he wouldn't have to stay on it
oh hey remember that guy who made a pact with my homeworld and we're honorbound to respect and obey?

Where were you when you found out that the sun doesn't produce sunlight?
>>53621312
Wait, isn't Sun Sensitivity for the Drow a debuff in sunlight? So if the Sun doesn't produce sunlight RAW, does that mean Drow aren't debuffed?
In some games/settings, the sun is just a portal that orbits the Material Plane and is a connection to the Plane of Positive Energy.
>the sun doesn't produce sunlight
The Sun does produce sunlight, but the planet's atmosphere filters that sunlight into ordinary light. Otherwise you'd take radiant damage by stepping outside. Spells like Sunbeam produce unfiltered sunlight, which is much more potent.
What if I told you that 90% of any RPGs Quality is the players playing the game?
>>53620737
You wouldn't be telling half the board anything they didn't already know. The other half of the board thinks fun is objective and that the game system matters at all, so you'd just be baitposting.
>>53620737
I think it leans heavily more on the Game master than the players.
Or we could just say it depends on the people.
>>53620737
What if I told you that you were wrong? A good group can make any system fun... eventually, if you have the time to spend on it... but a bad system can make an average group cease to be fun? I've played multiple games with the exact same group and let me tell you, some of those systems were so bad that they hurt their campaigns drastically.
What's a good system for space combat/dogfighting?
Just play x wing
I found that West End D6 Star Wars did space combat pretty well.
>>53620065
None. There's too much geometry involved to be resolved quickly.
