Rome has more manpower for Gauls. Maybe they conquer France earlier and Not-Caesar goes against the Germans. However they lose some important sources of gold and silver.
Mediterranean sea becomes a little more temperamental. Maybe galleys become useless and people have to develope more "open sea" ships.

I play it, my friends play it and my flgs plays it.
It is good, lacks some of the flavour of Warhammer, there is no foot of gork spell but it is my favorite regimental fantasy game.
It plays more like a historical game than Warhammer and that is a good thing imo.
People who are interested should check out fishbat and mastercrafted gaming for battlereports.

Yes it is a really nice game and I like to play it. Simple mechanics make it fast, yet it still has got quite deep strategy and tactic elements. It is what warhammer fantasy could have become. Instead we've got Age of Shitmar.

I just came from the Pazio thread asking for advice on running Pathfinder for a bunch of noobies to the system and to roleplaying (including myself). I was told to play 5e instead.
Is this actually the route I should take or am I being misdirected by people that have a grudge against Pathfinder? I don't know enough about roleplaying to know what's what.

Song of Swords is a a tabletop RPG centered around realistic medieval fightan' with a ludicrous variety of weapons and fighting styles, centered around a dice pool system. It's currently in beta, and can be used for both fantasy and historical games. The Kickstarter was nearly 300% funded, and we're on the fast track to kicking ass baby.
Call of the Void: Ballad of the Laser Whales is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.
MEGA folder containing current version of the game and all supplementary materials.
Note that the latest version of the game is v1.9.9 but with additional supplements.

Perfidious Space-Albion presumably has a first rate secret service and SOE-analogue but who do they favour in the looming struggle between the Crown and the Plutocrats?
We know that Chiron is doing a hell of a lot better than Abwehr and have a hateboner for the UC so they probably have at least some basic competence at counter-espionage. How is their intelligence-gathering, or are foreign ops mostly sabotage and gunning down streets of civilians in enemy capitals?
The Hive are the scary commies of the setting, but cold war China didn't exactly have a reputation for spying excellence and Maoism by way of Chairman Yang probably doesn't generate foreign sympathisers in the same way M-L did for the USSR. How is the Space-MSS doing compared to the other factions and is there the same fear of communists lurking in ones soup without the NKVD around?

Storythread: 'it feels like we never left' edition.
This is a thread for creative writing of /tg/-related fiction, so epic campaign greentexts and other non-fiction go elsewhere. If you have /tg/ related stories to post, post them here, and hopefully some kind anon will give you feedback (or at least acknowledge that someone did actually read it, which let's face it is what writefags really want).
What counts as /tg/-related? Anything someone could plausibly use in a campaign (which means basically anything if you have enough imagination).
If you don't have a story ready then I and other anons will be posting pictures throughout the thread for you to test your writing skills on. This is, more or less, a world-building and character-building exercise: two vital skills for playing roleplaying games. If you don't have any pics to post, you could try posting an idea for a setting or a character, and maybe someone will be willing to write a story using it. It's also an exercise in writing though, where writefags can try out their material and gain inspiration, so if you just want to talk about world-building save it for the world-building threads.
Remember that writefags love to have feedback on their work. Writing takes a long time, especially stories that go over several posts, and it can be really depressing when no one even seems to read it (and the writer won't know you read it unless you leave a comment).
And since writing takes a long time remember to keep the thread bumped. Pics are good, feedback is better.
