Teleport Homer text reads "If an enemy model is ever within 9" of the teleport homer, it is deactivated and removed from the battlefield". The structure of that sentence implies that it's the enemy model that's removed. Each Terminator Squad that you bring thus provides you with a permanent 9" death sphere that you can place in your deployment zone. Bring IG mortars + manticores or the artillery of your choice and have them sit back completely immune to assault.

Hey fa/tg/guys... I'm having a very small conundrum. Probably not a big deal but I live in Canada and I've only ever played with local people either IRL or through communications...
Is there anything I should expect to be different at all? Anything I should do or say?
If it helps we're all military either former or currently serving and none of us is much older than 35.

Maybe? You'd have to make the odd jobs engaging to your players somehow. Would probably work well with a roleyplay heavy group if you give them opportunities to develop their characters.
The bigger question would be: why would they bother going adventuring in the first place if it doesn't pay?

As for how 8th is treating us? Not to bad, not to great.
Lost Doctrinas.
Canticles are now much weaker.
Arc rifles and Plasma cavilers both took a massive hit in effectiveness but also in price.
Everything is a bit cheaper.
Ironstriders now looks insane with 4 autocannon shots each (also moved to Fast Attack, freeing up Heavy Support slots for Baymaxs and Onegars.)

Magic: The Gathering could be played as a self-contained card game with no need for expansions. Out of the many cards printed, only a few are uniquely powerful. These cards become the cards that the game revolves around, i.e. the starting lineup, the leaders, the quarterbacks, etc. If these cards could be brought together to work harmonically (thus, not overpowered), within a set of decks designed for this purpose, there would be no need to acquire more cards.
Comparions to Chess and Poker
Chess: The pieces move the same every game, and take some effort to coordinate, but spectacular games have occurred.
Poker: Because you would know your opponents deck, and the decks have been constructed in a way to produce interesting gameplay, you can contemplate your opponents plays without seeing their hand.
