I tend to play down the role of horses in my games because I really don't know anything about them, so tell me shit about mounted warfare or travel. Give me tables about horses or post pictures of them.
Who were the greatest mounted warriors in history? Which horses or were the best breed? Have you ever played in a game that had chariots but no mounted warfare/travel? How would you do chariots? And how durable do you think horses should be in your games?
A friend tells me that if you were traveling long distance with any decent amount of gear, you'd end up walking your horse most of the time rather than riding it; is that true? Educate me!

My RT group managed to rescue a group of sororitas who were trying to retrieve a holy relic but were ambushed and all but slaughtered by cultists (twelve out of 50 sisters survived, three are heavily injured). They also managed to grab the relic and now they're ferrying both it and the sisters back to the convent.
The problem is the RT is a hedonistic libertine, as is the rest of the group, and they are 100% guaranteed to try their darndest to draw the sisters into wild partying in transit.
How do I play the sisters in this situation?

Eh, sort of. There are larger kingdoms that most people know are the main players on the continental stage. Like Renaissance Europe, actually. I still need to get around to actually writing up most of them, and I only have a strong idea of one. It's a empire that controls most of an archipelago and a large central island. They're cosmopolitan seafarers who have just begun to invent firearms and cannons, but they're prohibitively expensive at this point for most people. Plus the empire's gunsmiths jealously guard the recipe for powder and the specifications of their guns with a near-religious fervor. Pretty much anyone who has a gun has a gun made in this empire, and that pretty much limits it to rich adventurers, wealthy nobles, and elite knights of that empire. They're not quite a super power, but they can defend their territory and love to have wars with neighboring countries. They're prolific traders and have one of the best navies in the world. They have gotten their shit packed in a couple times. Culturally, they're inspired by an amalgamation of England and Italy.

I think it's an unhealthy card. If it was banned it would force Delver decks into Grixis or pure UR probably. That would make the URx Delver decks stronger though, since their mana denial package is stronger without DRS running around.

I really like Shadowrun's approach. You get one random number based on dice, and one flat number based on stats. Everyone goes in order and once that stops, a new turn order begins with initiative -10, so anyone with more than 10 initiative acts again. of course the whole "decreasing the number every round" thing can be simplified by counting extra turns (A15, B6, C3, A5)
Only issue with that is that it separates COMBAT and NON-COMBAT characters very harshly

There's been a ton of stuff on Old Earth in past threads, particularly how its slowly becoming honeycombed with massive human development through its geology and hive-scale development across its surface, and tons of ships and stations in orbit. My character can make four (fragile) clones of himself that retain all of his abilities and I want to have them helping the civilian population while he is out fighting crime.
Also, would you allow this type of build as a GM?

In a realistic setting your healer character would be faced with some problems. First of all pharmaceutical companies would tried to limit the effect of said individual as they would be a threat to their bottom line. Either by bribes or by law suit they would do everything in their power to prevent you from helping people for free. If you hopped over that hurdle then would come the assassination attempts. Again you're hurting the bottom line of some of the richest organizations in the modern world. No cost is too great to remove a threat like your character. Then we get to the religious types, it is highly likely that a person with this type of miraculous power would gather a following among those who are religious. Think of it like reverse terrorism with every religion wanting to take credit for the miracle. This could cause conflict and you can't stop one group without encouraging another. Then when that's all said and done there comes the conflict of choice; how do you decide who to help first? Do you help your community? Do you go where you are needed the most? How do you define the most.
All of the above could drive conflict in a campaign and would ultimately define the character. I for one would welcome that type of super as opposed to the usual flying bricks or comic book ripoffs that I usually get.
