Let's see some heroic heroes doing heroic things. Magic/non-magic, modern/medieval, humans/not-humans, whatever as long as they're saving lives.
>>53775096
I'll try to dump what I can, I don't have much though
>>53775125
Particularly looking for heroes saving people, plenty of heroes kill but that's not what makes them heroes.
Guys, I have never played an actual game of D&D and all of my friends want to play a game. Does anyone have any advice on how to actually start this shit without getting bogged down in learning the rules and everything?
Are you the GM? If not, read the player's handbook and go with it.
>>53775124
Yea, I will be the GM.
None of them have really played the game either so its probably going to be a not so serious game in terms of following rules.
>>53775039
man up and learn the rules, pussy. you won't enjoy it otherwise
What's the most interesting or creative ways you've used (or your players have used) the Pact Weapon warlock feature?
make a wizard staff like the staff of power or of the magi your pact weapon
>>53774743
That doesn't seem interesting or creative. Anything outside the box that they did with the boon?
>>53774969
it was impossible to keep the fuckers locked up

Party has a barbarian, cleric, rogue and warlock. Should I go paladin or bard? I'd really like either, just having a hard time deciding.
>>53773468
Flip a coin, see whether or not you end up disappointed.
My vote is for Paladin.
DMing a random DnD session w/ two friends in an hour. What should I throw at em?

Does anyone have any experience with the Zweihander system?
Either played it or DM'd it?
I'm looking for a gritty, warhammer like, low magic system.
The PDF is only $20, but I wanted some opinions before I paid money.
It's literally a Warhammer Fantasy retroclone. If you've played WHF you already know what you're getting into right down to the ratcatcher job.

What >>53772886 said, although there are some differences. Personally I liked it, and I think it's a worthy successor to WFRP 2e.

I bought it. Now to read 700 pages on a screen.
First time D&D player.
Is pic related a good Charecter to play?
It's an Aarakocra monk.
1. Sure, play what you want
2. What app is that?
3. Your stats look pretty meh.

I call this emergency meeting to order, that we may address the species known as Humanity, its rise as a member of this galactic community and of the corrupting if not damaging effect it's presence inflicts upon us all.

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to do Deldar or CSM for the global campaign at my store. We're incorporating our own summer campaign into it as well, which should be fun.
Is it just me, or does this datasheet not mention the Meka Dread actually having Rokkit Bomms?
Top Teir rules writing
shit this edition is fucked
I really just want the following factions to die and be gone forever:
Tau
Eldar
Dark Eldar
Necrons
They are all hanging on by a thread and add nothing to the game. Eldar are dorks, they look stupid and they are stupid. Necrons are cheap terminator rip offs that don't DO anything, they just react and don't drive the plot. Dark Eldar could maybe be reworked but they are also dorky and gay. Tau are cool, but they are the wrong fit for the setting and also tiny, they should just be rolled over and make a heroic last stand.
Basically, I just want it to be Imperium, Marines, Chaos, Orks and Tyranids, and maybe add some new factions to compensate for the loss of the old ones. Admech and Sisters can stay, but only if they secede from the imperium so the game isn't so one sided.
>>53770838
This is the grave we chose, Anons, this is the philosophy and mindset being seeded by the current fluff, where did it all go wrong?
>>53770918
>where did it all go wrong?
5th Edition.
>>53770918
Look, I know people love "space elves", but they are SO LAME. They are just so fucking stupid looking and cheesy, the fluff has them on their last legs but THEY NEVER FUCKING DIE. Have them sacrifice themselves to fight off the tyranids. Hell, them and Tau both. They can linger as old school factions that we keep as legacy codecs, throw them a bone every once and a while, but please, please, PLEASE just throw them in the garbage where they belong.
I know the Imperium and Chaos use the Warp, the Eldar and Dark Eldar use the Webway, and Necrons use inertialess ships, but how do Tau, Orkz, and Tyranids move at FTL?
>>53770456
Space bugs use the warp too, tau have best tech, and orks do w.e the fuck they want
>>53770456
Tyranids use some sort of psychic gravitational fuckery to reach their destination, bending space and the like, proper alcubierre style. Tau, depending on the source, either don't have great FTL yet or have a pseudo-Warpdrive that's massively slower but more stable. Orkz also use the Warp.
>>53770456
As far as I know Tau use warp but they don't full dive in it, they just scratch the surface, which is slower but safer.
