Thread Question: What's the most spiteful play you've ever made? Been on the receiving end of? Seen?
>>55292927
I conceded before allowing a trigger that required me being in the game to resolve.
The last time I played with my friends, everyone had enough clones or originals of tax cards, such as Augustine or Spelltithe Enforcer to cancel one another out, but after the second Augustine I couldn't cast.
A few turns in, I couldn't cast Fog unless I paid an additional six and/or sacrificed three permanents of some sort.
>>55292927
>What's the most spiteful play you've ever made?
not really spiteful, just took over a guys zurgo and killed him with it, resulting in him sperging out and kept mumbling about blue being a shit color and focusing me the next game
How do you like to Lawful Neutral /tg/?
>>55292627
There is nobody more Lawful Neutral
Who said Lawful Neutrals can't have a sense of humor?
>>55292746
I wish we would get another one with him, I actually liked it
>Fighter adventures for glowing swords and titles
>Rogue adventures for pocket money
>Mage adventures to expand his book collection
>Cleric adventures to please his spirit daddy
>Monk adventures to perfect his physical and spiritual being and achieve enlightenment, transcending the mortal realm
How can other classes and archetypes compete?
By having better rules
>Barbarian adventures so he can brag about it.
>Bard adventures so he has another story to tell.
Get on this level.
>>55292473
Personally I play my monks like barbarians. On an eternal quest to find the perfect opponent.

I'm stealing this.
>>55292252
You stole my art for my character!
Hi, can I join your party?
You look like you were drawn by that spirals guy.
You don't happen to do something spiraly... right?
I got a feeling this is all gonna be spiraling down towards something terrible.
>>55292258
Are you implying some sort of twisted plot?
I want to create a compelling world for my DnD group to play in but I just can't stop sabotaging myself. To me the spells and divine powers are too powerful to create any compelling stories and obstacles.
For example, say there is a war going on and your commander wants you and your crew to go and deliver an important tactical message to some other company behind the frontlines. Here is the thing, I just ask myself
>why does the military don't use a "sending" spell?
I mean sure there can be hundreds of pretexts you can create but this is a problem. I continuously find myself trying to come up with different excuses as to why anything couldn't be solved with magic. This is not a problem with my players, I do this to myself.
How the fuck can I stop overanalyzing this shit /tg/?
>>55335824
Stop being a fucking autist.
Pull excuses out of your ass or just say "because nobody thought of that".
>why does the military don't use a "sending" spell?
Because they don't have one? Because even in 3.5, casting a sending spell costs, what? 450 gp? That's half the cost of a house. Why wouldn't he just pay some messenger a few silver to do it? Now is it through dangerous territory? Okay you need to send some mercenaries. Which cost 2 sp per day to hire. The characters probably cost a few gold per day to hire. Nothing on the order of four hundred fifty fucking gold to deliver a 25 word message. Sending is the most worthless goddamn spell unless you are contacting other planes with it. There's a reason it was cut down to level 3 in 5e.
Also
>implying your army even has a wizard of that level
>implying the wizard wouldn't just fly over to deliver the message in person
>then fireball the opposing forces under the effects of greater invisibility
For gods sake
>I continuously find myself trying to come up with different excuses as to why anything couldn't be solved with magic.
Everything can be solved with magic, in 3.5. But magic is also rare and expensive as fuck. So unless you REALLY need magic for something, you're not going to use it.
>>55335922
Well, we are playing 5e, so magic is not really that expensive. Thay may be the part of the problem.
>>55335907
My players don't question such things. I am just trying to satisfy myself so "nobody thought of that" thing doesn't work for me as even I can think of it.
Would it break the game to cap even the most powerful npcs to level 6 or something?
All as planned edition

First for Sigmarines are actually not bad.
So what's everyone eyeing up in the gw line of products atm? Currently looking at the KO ironclad.

trips confirm
The Imperium by a score of 4 to 2!
https://warhammer40000.com/blog/imperial-victory-loebos/
So, how is GW going to deal with this in regards to advancing the plot? I suspect Ultramar Round 2 is out f the question, so what will GW's writers do now?
Fun question: if of /yourdudes/ participated in the campaign, what shenanigans did they get into?
>>55334118
As an outsider looking in, how much does the narrative change depending on who wins the most battles, and what faction is playing them? The Eldar are mentioned in this write-up, am I to assume this means the most common alien faction was Eldar, and they mostly fought Chaos with a little Imperium? Would the narrative have changed if the most common alien faction was, say, Necron?
>>55334118
>So, how is GW going to deal with this in regards to advancing the plot?
They announce the system that barely anyone had heard of before, safely and securely fades back into obscurity.
Campaign Starts
>Majority of your player base is Imperium
>Space Marine & Grey Knight Codex released
>Primaris Marines released (which can be taken in any army)
>Double points for buying new models
>All new models are Imperium
>Last day addition to Chaos is Death Guard (Fuck me for playing Iron Warriors right?)
How is GW going to deal with this in regards to advancing the plot?
Looks like just as planned to me.
How practical would this type of weapon be realistically?
>>55330141
The Indians created a weapon like that, it already exists.
Yell from Akikan.
>>55330141
A Katar?
Not very. At least not that design. Maybe if there was a knuckle guard and a grip. Like a actual Katar. THAT was used as an actual side arm for a while
>Meet a pretty girl
>Go to her house for the first time
>Check out her bookshelf while she's in the bathroom
>>55330017
that is a perfectly sensible method of gauging a potential girlfriend.
I usually don't wait for them to go to the bathroom first though.
I personally would be worried by that much stuff in the same universe without much in the way of other works to break it up.
that said, if you like 40k enough then. Good for you, you snagged a good one.
>>55330017
>Ravenor being placed before Eisenhorn
ugh... it hurts
>>55330203
That's not actually a girl's bookshelf.
>>55330017
I mean, that's about the same number of shelves as my spouse has devoted to Magic cards, so...seems fine.

The Imperium is going to win the Konor campaign. How does this make you feel?

I like the way they painted the flies/warpflame.
Pretty bad desu

>>55290385
>pirate creature
Lol
>>55290385
I like the card, and I don't think it's bad in itself. All the abilities do something good. Of course, being a 6-mana spell it's automatically probably not effective in competitive constructed settings.

I think it's a piss take of the Ancient Aliens idea. That it couldn't possibly have been ancient man that made them because everyone before Rome were clinically retarded and incapable of maths or feats of engineering.
Also the magic of True Names taken to an unusual place. The true name determines not just the label of a thing but the properties of a thing. Change some of the name of it and it changes the properties. Thus change the weight value to 0 and you can pull a 40 tonne block behind you on a rope like big square balloon.

>Unseelie fey lesser ice para-genasi druid with the sidhe scholar ACF
