If you mean shows about people playing DnD games, yeah you can find a few online. If you mean ones that are animated, I think this is the only one.

As a player who started in 4e, Id have to say it's the best edition so far.

It's smoother and quicker. It simplifies a lot of things that needed simplification. It's a slimmer version of 40k, and yet still feels like 40k.

I will admit the army rules are rather lacking right now. The armies do feel a little bland in options when it comes to things like relics and powers. But I am pretty sure that stuff will be fixed with the codexes. The indexes are just a stopgap for current armies before they get around to updating all the codeces.

I like looking forward to playing 40k again, rather than dreading it during the 7e era

I started at the tail end of 2nd edition, but I can honestly say that 8th is the best the game's ever been.
Ignore the autists who say the game is "oversimplified," I've never had to spend more time thinking about positioning and movement than I have in 8th. Complexity and depth are not the same thing.
The game is simpler in some ways, yes, but I can say, without a doubt, that skill plays a bigger factor in 8th than it ever has before.

I mean, look at Ebay: There are entire armies priced at under 50% of the total price for the lot, all nicely painted, or even in the box. Nobody in any of the facebook groups has even said word of it in months.

A combination of all of this gutted a lot of the support for the game. It might make a resurgence, but at the moment it's haemorrhaging players.

Magic

It always sours somehow, ends up inducing chaos

From events that wipe out thousand year civilizations and leave nothing behind, to most wizards being fucking nutjobs by the time they're nearing deaths door (which they almost always do something desperate and costly to try to avoid)

Basically since its all about the mind, and you're constantly channeling invisible magic juice from thin air, its going to take its toll not on your joints and bones, but on your nervous system and brain.
Most wizards burn out and have a stroke that leaves them unable to use magic (at least on purpose, some manage to retain telepathy or something to aid in their new horrible stroke victim life) around the same time martials succumb to arthritis, unless they're gifted somehow, or tenacious, the same way a martial relies on mystical boons or magic (ironically).

The only real cure is to make sure you have an out, and can retire from high-impact wizardry around 45-50, the same way a martial (granted the martial would have to start when he was 30-40, generally) would ascend to higher roles of military leadership requiring less and less manual labor, a wizard would retreat into universities and libraries.

78 points for 2D6-take-the-highest STR 6 AP -1 damage D3, ignores cover and LOS shots, 234 for a battery of 3.

Seems okay, its by far the cheapest artillery vehicle IG has now.
