And here is the 1 part to the OP image
Hey, mind if I request some more shenanigans, lewd or otherwise, between Jester and Knight? Seem like a interesting, fun couple there.

^For reference if you don't get why I'm asking for them.
Who wins in a fight: Paladin Princess or Archon Princess?
What does /tg/ read?
I finished a fuckload of space science fiction lately and I've been looking for something with dragons and shit.
>>53965651
Wheel of Time. It'll last you a while.
>>53965651
Tolkien is always a good choice, as is anything by Zelazny. I'm a big fan of the Thomas Covenant books, but they're not to everyone's taste.
>>53965651
I'm a fan of glen cook my dude
The black company is good but it's a low fantasy style book, if you like myth the fallen lords, this was the inspiration for it.
Paladins give me some help. Would you hold your blade if the evil sorceress was pregnant?
Baby didn't do anything wrong.
But, on the other hand, Momma doesn't need to be able to use her hands to give birth to Baby, and if she can't cast spells, most of the damage she can do as a sorceress is mitigated.

/thread
Considering I got her pregnant yes I would hold off killing her
Sometimes I think about how pointless existence is. Neil deGrasse Tyson (and many others) give us a 50% chance that our universe is a computer simulation. I could go on and on about it.... But I was just thinking...
How does a Lich not spiral into crippling depression? Are Liches in a constant state of depression? They probably have thousands of years to think about these things far greater than I have. What is the point of existence? To become really powerful? Then what? Become a God? Then what? Wouldn't they become so jaded, so dulled to the pleasures of the universe? Do they exist just to put on a show for adventurers? What is their goal, and WHY?! Liches must be so intelligent, they had to have thought of all of this...
Whether or reality is a simulation doesn't matter to you individually. Like the opening scene of Annie Hall, how is that your problem?
Also it's more than likely an absolute certainty, not 50%. It's also a useless thought experiment.
>>53940039
Right, the laws of the universe break down into math, nothing special. For all intents and purposes, the universe is an advanced computer simulation, whether it was created by sentient beings or not.
So, after thousands of years, doesn't a Lich just feel like giving up? Realizing how pointless it all is?
What destroys more Liches?
Adventurers, or the Lich himself?

Daily reminder that the UFP shouldn't have given up territory after the end of the Cardassian War.
Also Thomas W. Riker was a lot more principled and hard working that William T. Riker despite that by W.T. Riker's own admission he considers his very existence an insult.
>>53887362
>Daily reminder that the UFP shouldn't have given up territory after the end of the Cardassian War.
They didn't. That area of space remained contested for years afterwards.
The UFP gave up territory only after the Battle of Wolf 359, when the Borg reared their ugly heads as being a far greater threat. The UFP needed to resolve its territorial issues NOW so that it could focus on what had just become the Main Enemy.
>>53887430
Pretty much this. The Cardassians were always a threat. Not on the same scale as the Romulans or Klingons, but we know that they were eminently willing to fight a long, protracted war to the detriment of their own people. Starfleet likely could have made a show of force, engaged in a limited border war and eventually forced the Cardassians to accept harsher terms, but that would have taken time and resources. Both things that Starfleet didn't have to spare in the wake of the borg threat.
I suspect that the UFP would have stood their ground if not for Wolf 359.
Is it even theoretically possible to get your campaign to feel "pythonesque" without just parroting all the famous sketches?
Can you do lolrandom in a way that's actually funny?
>mixed alignment party
>hunting vampires
>they try to assault us
>we capture one
>drive the rest off
>they try to harry us with arrows
>party member with magic projectile deflection flail defends us
>we just collect their arrows and fire them back, taunting constantly
>they fuck off
>back to the captured vamp spawn
>string it up on this beached wrecked ship
>tie him around the stump of the mast
>play tetherball with him
>laugh heartily
>interrogate him
>watch him fry in the sun
Silly shit happens constantly without forcing it in our campaigns.

The npc's play the straight men but the players are encouraged to cut loose
Do you create your own campaign setting or use published settings like the Forgotten Realms?
If your own homebrew, how much effort do you put into it, in # of pages let's say?
>>53998946
I make my own, usually.
As for effort, I am austistically detailed when it comes to a world, so if I know I'm running a campaign, I'll be Writing up pantheon, what each race is like, cultural details of major nations/states, Major political figures and political power structures, A short news clippet for the players to get a snapshot of current events, and I'll flesh out the first settlement almost completely.
>>53999022
Oh, Start with at least 3 to 5 pages.
I Expect to have a Travel guide-sized book when the bulk is complete.
>>53998946
I put a good amount of pages into mine, prolly like 50, simply because I made my campaign have enough eras and land to work for any story/campaign my players would like so I dont need any other settings.
How do you best build a society so it is resistant to Chaos (or any other similar existential near-omnipresent corrupting influence in science fiction)?
The Tau?
Pure Faith in the God-Emperor, of course.
>>53998931
>post singluarity, everyone is connected
> FANATIC ideologues mainly concerned with the purity of their society
ZOGGIT: REPER-CUZZINS OF MUCKIN' ABOUT
Gitkrumpa waited. The loity gubbins above 'im blinked 'n sparked outta da air. Dere wuz humies in da rok. He didn’t see dem, but 'ad expected dem for...for...lotz of time. 'is warnins to Warboss Gobsmasha were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Gitkrumpa was a dead 'ard git fer a buncha time. When 'e were a weedy grot 'e watched da kill kroozers and 'e said t' da boss “'ERE WE GO 'ERE WE GO 'ERE WE GO!”
Boss said “SHUT IT! YOU WILL BE KILL BY HUMIES!”
Dere wuz a time when 'e believeded 'im. Den as 'e got oldered he stopped. But now in da zoggin big rok of da big boss Gobsmasha 'e knew dere wuz humies.
"Dis is Gobsmasha” da talky-squig crackered. “Quit muckin about and krump da humies!”
So Gitkrumpa gotted 'is flash and blew up da wall.
“HE GOING TO KILL US” said the weedy humies
“GLORY FOR THE FIRST MAN TO DIE! CHARGE!” said 'da Kommizzar 'n 'e fired the rokkit bullets. Gitkrumpa dakkaed at 'im and tried to krumped 'im good. But den da ceiling fell and dey wuz trapped 'n not able t'krump.
“No! I must krump the humies” he shouted
The talky-squig said “STUFF IT, YA GIT! YOU IZ DA HUMIES!”
And den Gitkrumpa wuz in a penal legion

Ork: Da Repercuzion of Humies
>>53998774
Alright you got me
Alright Gentlemen, listen up!
Today, shall be a glorious day for each and every one of you. For today, we shall be dropping from mid-orbit, via Tetrarch heavy landers. Where our valiant pilots shall fly us directly through enemy anti-aircraft fire, and onto the planet below, so that we might do battle with the enemies of the Emperor!
So, as we do today's Field kit inspection, I want each and everyone of you, to spend a moment reading through your standard issue, "Planetary Assault" booklets. Specifically, page 47, where It talks about, "Mid-Orbital drops, via Tetrarch Heavy Landers". This will bring you up to speed on what's about to happen in a few moments!
And don't worry! If your seat doesn't come equipped with seat belts, it's merely because the Emperor has faith in your ability to survive a crash landing!
>Welcome to '''Field Kit Inspection!', home of the 'Unknown Regiment". Feel free to join in! Remember though, We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, while greentexts for are used for describing a character's actions, d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll. With higher being better.
>>53998291
Second company, Third platoon, is all buckled in, and ready to deploy, Sir!
And although the Emperor doesn't seem to trust our individual ability to survive a crash landing without seat belts, we're ready to give the enemy our all!
The only question is.... Who are we fighting against?
>>53998291
>The nervous looking private would be reloading his rifle and cleaning it.
So uh, dare I ask who we're fighting?

>Using Dorkazoid points instead of Based PowerLevels
You dropped your gay card.
Where to get tyranid fucking Shrikes ??
I taught GW removed every option that isnt available to buy ?
Why would someone not pick Dual Talons on a Daemon Prince? It's 10 points for 7/8 AP-2 D2 attacks. That's insanely cheaper than any other option.
just a question /tg/ but how do the mechanicum organise their armed forces, like titans and knights and so forth. do they have a set amount of skittari for each classification?
I would like to know because I want to join a game and its almost exclusively on mars and I think we will be in a few titan fights so I want to know what's actually happening and why.
any help is appreciated
>>53997031
1) that scale is sadly (or fortunately) incorrect, titans, while large, are not THAT large.
2) is this the Mechanicum, or the Adeptus Mechanicus?
Or, to put it a less confusing way, Pr-heresy/Heresy Era, or regular 40k?
Because they have quite different organisations.
Either way though, knights and titans are actually both pretty separate from the main forces of both:
Knight houses are (mostly) independent groups which have their own worlds and their own organisation - they're small individual organisations a bit like a Marine chapter, and only associate with the tech-priests more commonly than anyone else because tech-priests are usually pretty helpful to knight houses. As such there's nothing that would set up any amount of skitarii deployed with them save for tradition of deployment - aka, you can feel free to make that shit up as you like
Titan legions on the other hand are part of the organisation of tech priests, though they maintain a distinction and distance. They also operate largely independently, but, being based on a Forge World, will commonly deploy with the forces of said forge world anyway. They also maintain a standing body of their own ground troops, who are basically skitarii equipped to best defend the feet of titans, called the Secutarii (yeah, it's a bit of a confusing name)
>>53997193
this is the "present" emprorer is a corpse on a throne and heresy is the most used word after kill
and thanks for that, hmm maybe I will be a knight is my DM allows it.
thanks for the info, and thanks for the pic of mars.
I don't know much about them I am more of a tyranid guy so this helps a lot
There are 3 main military forces on each Forgeworld
1.) Legiones Skitarii. Organized into Legions/Regiments/Cohorts
2.) Collegia Titanicca. Most worlds have a single titan legion for protection
3.) Taghmata Omnissiah. Called battle congregations in M41. They're a mixture of feudal-style forces from minor military orders called (Ordo Reductor, Auxilia Myrmidon, Centurio Ordinatus, Prefecture Magisterium, Legio Cybernetica, Knight Houses, Basilikon Astra)
/tg/ do you ever just create random charts and post them in vaguely related threads? I do and I'm looking for help.
This morning I went looking through desuarchive for the ones I'd done. I'm an idiot who didn't name or trip for these so I can't find them all and it seems like there are gaps in desu anyway.
Does anyone know exactly what dates are missing from desu and if those dates are available on any other archive? I will post the charts I was able to find ITT.
You will probably see repeating themes in these.

Ultrasmurf Edition?
>>53996255
Alpha Legion mutant infiltrator edition.
Well, try again. A 1000 point list, expanding eventually into Valks and other flyers, and maybe some other Chimera class vehicles as I love the hull; my Taurox are actually going to be modified wheeled Chimeras.
random encounter tables and plot hooks for things you can find in barrels, purses, lunchboxes, shells, pots, kettles, trunks etc.
I want to make a dungeon crawler with a ton of stuff living or setting up traps in the remains of human civilisation.
any suggestions?
