I use Obsidian Portal to manage my campaign notes and occasionally roll20.net for online gaming. Campaign Cartographer is good for mapping. Haven't tried Fantasy Grounds but I heard it was good.

Why is that blush in the last panel so cute? Makes me wish Warhammer actually had sphinxes, or at least had them in a way that wouldn't immediately rip your guts out because gritty and grim.

Let's try and create some cool original monsters this time.

There's an alarming number of cases where people die from heart attack while binge watching television. Should such a person receive no proper burial, he would rise from the grave as a horrible undead creature called skelevision. It resembles an ordinary human skeleton whose skull is replaced by an archaic looking television with a frame made from bones. When the creature is idle, the television broadcasts a vaguely skull-shaped test card; otherwise, it broadcasts shows that indicate the creature's mood an intentions. For instance, when the skelevision is hungry, its head will broadcast a cooking show. The participants of these shows are all skeletons, which gives them a macabre, if absurd, quality. Its ribcage is transformed into a bone parabolic antenna, and its longer bones change shape to become aerials.
When fighting a skelevision, the important thing is to never look at its head. Its favourite tactics in combat is to assume mind control over its opponents by broadcasting brainwashing news. These clips act as hypnosis for all practical purposes and . If this fails, the skelevision may broadcast seizure-inducing psychedelic clips of rapidly flashing shapes and colours. These clips can cause seizure even in people not normally susceptible to epilepsy, since their effect is more supernatural than medical. When disarmed, the creature may pull out objects directly out of its screen to use as weapons.
The skelevison feeds by entrancing people with its programming and draining their life force while they're rapidly wasting away in front of the screen. Each person killed in such a fashion becomes an additional skeleton trapped in the shows broadcasted by the skelevision and forced to re-enact their bizarre plots. The only way to free these people and allow them to go on to the afterlife is to slay the monstrosity that trapped them.

hmm, I like it in concept but I feel like it's a bit bloated with the number of abilities you gave it.
Like, they're cool and all, hypnotizing people with brainwashing news, flashing supernaturally to induce siezures and pulling wepons out of the TV are all cool but does it really need to be able to do all 3 to be threatening? I feel like this is a case where less is more.
I'd say ditch pulling out weapons. having it rely on stunning or hypnotizing gives it a more predatorial feel i think.

It would mean that the monster would have to fight with its bare fists, which would in turn mean that it couldn't really damage the players aside from mind controlling one of them. That means that it would need to pick up a weapon anyway, and pulling one out of the screen is cooler than simply picking one up.

I've done it before in my campaigns. It's always fun to see player's go "oh shit" when the party's biggest DPS gets turned against them.

I've been doing these as a creative exercise, help me out /tg/!
>Shadowrun 1900s: The world map last corners were filled and borders drawn, yet the heart of Africa and the depths of the pacific jungles are yet filled with temples full of magic artifacts of untold power, waiting for the brave explorer who may find them. In the US, the Death of the old west and the rising of a new order is still a source of conflict.
>1910s: Tensions mount up in Europe as treaties are signed and broken and a war seems unavoidable. Spies and double agents seek to learn, sabotage of steal other nation's secret weapons, magical or technological, to give their own country an edge in the coming conflict. Meanwhile, across the colonies, nationalist risings and freedom fighters prepare for their overlords to be weakened to strike the mercy blow in their colonial rule.
>1920s: Prohibition rans rampant in the US, hillbilly elves produce Elderbark moonshine and gangster orcs and trolls gun down police agents on the squalor ravaged streets. Europe faces a magical plague and undead outbreaks in the aftermath of the great war and the loss of some colonies. Necromancer dictators rise and fall.
>1930s: Prohibition conflicts continues and now the pursue also focus on dark magic after a eldritch aberration ravages central new york. Non registered mages find employment with the mob raising the stakes of the war. Europe fascist governaments try to rule what's left of the old world after the past two rough decades. Metahumans are put on concentration camps on germany and dwarven soviet commitees take over Russia, forming the URSS into a industrial powerhose with giant tanks and powerful mobile artillery walkers.

Would each era/decade follow up from the previous scenario? Or would they have a different 'timeline', so to speak?

My idea would be all assuming the resurgence happened before the 1900s, and than progress on that timeline, trying to stick as close as possible to the world history, maybe not on actual fights, but to the things that marked the zeitgeist of each era, so to speak. Like the cold war and the great wars. The factions don't have to be the same, but those conflicts are era defining so they should happen in some fashion.

I am still baffled at the turn that shit took--assuming the show follows the same route as the book, because Martin once described Stannis in very glowing terms, comparing him to some Bong noble who actually won his war.So it seems very out of character--wildly even--for him to sacrifice his daughter because it got a bit cold. He even gave one of his soldiers literally impossible orders to retreat with his daughter back to Dragonstone and fight until she sat upon the Iron Throne if he died.

Working on putting together a chapter of loyalist Night Lords. I'm thinking of going with some kind of spider emblem/theme, but I can't think of a good name. Colour scheme will probably be Night Lords blue with bone white helmets, pauldron trimming and details. Might throw some red in there somewhere, not sure yet.
I'd just play Carcharodons, since they're pretty much canon loyalist Night Lords, but I'm low on money and too autistic to play them without spending a shitload on Forgeworld MkV sets.
