Unlike her father who spent most of his career stationed on the Kaiu Wall, Daiko received a post in the Army of the East where the primary enemies are other humans, so her knowledge of the Shadowlands is a bit lacking. Tetsute resembles his father the most, at least physically. Is it a good idea to have 801 points of Dreadnoughts in a 2000 point army?
My friend says that you really need a high model count to be competitive, and that's spending 40% of my points on four models (Venerable Chaplain Dreadnought, two Ironclads and a Venerable with twin lascannon and twin assault cannon)

I was thinking of running a second Vanguard detachment with my TH/SS assault terminators, a Librarian terminator, Legion of the Damned unit and Imperial Space Marine, but that would leave me with only 550-ish points left to make my main Battalion detachment, which probably isn't near enough to make a good army.

Would it be worth it to include a Techmarine with my army if I'm running that many Dreadnoughts? Should I pay for getting him a bike and/or servitors or is just an on foot Tech-priest walking around with the Dreadnought cavalcade good enough?

I usually just have the offending PC raped if they do something stupid. Regular vagi-pen (or anal) one time as a default punishment, abduction and multi-day multi-orifice rape for a major transgression. They know what happened to their character, but they sure don't want to.

Nah, you are set. Using Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2e as your base will be fine since the stats translate between systems really well.

Same with using the Deathwatch book and just say "I'm using the system because it allows you to be big badasses."

A tick box, same as rations. Easiest way to do it in general. Depending on the edition, though, water is probably not ever going to be a serious issue if they aren't bringing horses.

I find a compromise between the two extremes to be best suited to general adventures. Just have a piece of papwr where you keep track of Rations, and a table where you keep track of ammunition that a character with a ranged weapon has. Each unit of Rations is enough food and water for 4-6 people for a single day of travel. Say it all weighs around 25lbs, costs an arbitrary amount of money depending on where you get it, and the players can decide who carries it or if they just get a wagon to haul it. You keep track of people's ammo, but they still have to keep track of their own ammo too. Your count is just used to fact-check theirs every once and a while to make sure they're not bullshitting you or just forgetting.

I think TCG culture has been dwindling towards this since smartphones first became popular, around 10 years ago. The full move to digital for TCGs is long overdue, but I think it will happen soon. Existing paper TCGs that don't fully move their resources into digital will end up going the way of Sears and Blockbuster.

That's why Pokemon TCG is thriving now.

Even though the gameplay is MUCH lower quality than Yugioh and Magic, they've been moving further and further towards digital, and have been doing a fantastic job transitioning. On the other hand, Yugioh has been shitting out cheap reprints of every single expensive card, while on the contrary, Magic has been focusing on dickriding the secondary market. In the end, Pokemon will come out on top. Because even though the game is shit, they were suceessfully able to adapt to the changing times.

so by in large they agree

I think it shows my personal favorite ways of playing goodstuff and keeping to a theme
my playgroup doesn't really see "multicolored cards" as a strong enough theme and sees it more as a tuned deck thats going to go fast.
